i believe i had around 13 on a swamp level 9, which i feel is probably normal but it seems lower than my forest level 9.

i am working on my own BE wolves currently, since it appears to be increasingly harder to actually kill something xD it's nearly impossible apparently

You can cure it with Silver Salve which can be crafted with Grapeseed, Beeswax and Wolfsbane. You can find these items in explore, or purchase them
