I am still not sure how to add a different kind of talent (like battle and resolve) to a custom. Do you custom a 0 rarity with one kind of talent first, then another, and the last time you custom the pelt you want on that wolf? Will I be able to add talents later on that dream wolf without changing its pelt or spending all the apples on the markings again?

i think you have to make the pelt again :P
So do the different talents first. You should be able to choose the type of talent from the first drop box and how many of that type in the second.
