In the African plains a constant battle ensues upon the landscape. one of ancient ongoings and constant bloodshed. In the harsh world that gives everything but takes all, giving birth to life and death as one, the war of canine and feline edges on. Who will face the brink of death? who will claim their right to the lands? Will witty hyenas triumph with cunning and numbers? or will the mighty lion conquer with bron and power?
.
Setting:
The wet season, prosperous with life and shrubbery. teaming with endless opportunity and endless risk. The Lions reside wherever they wish to roam but, there is a certain lone shade tree that looms over a set of lion sized boulders. this is the resting place of the lions. The Hyenas reside through the tangled underbrush of a rocky hill, there on the other side lays a dusty divot of sand and stone. Here is where the Hyenas reside. The two are at a constant battle with one another over the rest of the landscape.

The Cackle/Kombe
The landscape of the savannah, lush and vibrant, heards of meat wandering, grazing, carelessly scattered among the plains, having their young. The wet season creating a sanctuary for animals of every kind, the great feast for the predators. Among the green grasses could be seen a stocky mass of reddish fur. A male Hyena, wandering as they do, searching for his next meal.
Paw pads placed carefully as his audits swiveled to catch any sign of danger. The daring male was just between the cackles camp and the prides camp. He belonged in neither, outcasted as a maturing pup from his own cackle, he knows the dangers of attempting to enter another. his only chance of safety among the cackle remained in the breeding season, the wet season. But, this male wasnt ready just yet. his priority now is stay alive, and feast while he can.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Pride/Aziza
In the lands of the wet season, the sun shone bright and hot upon the backs of those who wander there, but there is refuge in the opportunity of the land. Prey is plentiful, water is a promice, and life is anew. Among the small pride lies a lioness of short, muscular build, her dark auburn pelt aglow in the daylight.
She lied upon a sunrock in the prides safespace, knowing the opportunity they are missing out of, but she also awares herself of the need for the queens permission. She cannot hunt unless the queen demands it. So she rests, charging her body for the hunts ahead. Her glowing orange gaze scanning around before she flops to her side, stretching her legs out as she prepared herself for a nap.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Cackle/Aparaa
Within the small cackle lies a strange female, one of strange develoupment. A hyena like herself is lucky to live, for in pup years, she would be picked out among the weak. Yet she remains, unharmed, uneffected, and strong as ever. The strange female of a black back end from lack of pelt develoupment and a slight crooked back leg placement from defect in the womb. Her mother suffered a tough dry season while pregnant, and she was the price of that. Yet she survives, unique and strong.
The female was a tall, slender being with peircing black eyes, small scars littering her face and shoulders from past disputes with past unaccepted males, other scavengers, wild dogs, and more. She is a determined hyena, one of dignity and demand, but one of mercy and obediance as well. She respects her sister greatly, and takes charge when it is needed, but if she ever fell from the throne, shed be there to take it, to protect the cackle, and do what she feels born to do.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Pride/Aasir
Among the brilliant green planes, a white being could be spotted like a sore thumb. A large beast of radiant white fur and a luxurious thick mane padded through the landscape. A nomad. Nomads are known for killing cubs, stealing prey, taking over prides, and stealing lionesses. But this one. Aasir is not like most. He is not in search of stealing, only to build his own pride from scratch one day. not just pick a queen but a mate for life, a soul mate. Unlike most nomads, hes there to make the most of his life, not his bloodline, for he knows the dangers of having cubs with his condition. Hes lucky he even survived cubhood.
The angelic nomad padded across the green plains, his heavy powerful paws thudding in the dust of the oasis. He panted gently, bubble gum tongue lazily bouncing between his pearly fangs as his brighht blue gaze trailed his surroundings in search for opportunity.

Maisha/ Pride
The bright sunlight beat down on the rock where a golden lioness was resting. She was exploring as was the usual for her at least before she decided to rest on this rock. With cubs in the pride she probably should have been hunting but this way far more interesting. She could maybe find a small antelope or something to bring back if she was lucky. The rock Maisha was on was surrounded by green- yellow grass. Tall and swishing in the breeze that ruffled her fur. She yawned the sun glinting off of her long fanges that leaped off, landing softly in the grass below.

Kiburi/ Pride
Closer... closer... almost Ack! The bird he was stalking flew away as he pounced sending a piercing call into the sky. A pure black pelt in the sunlit grass was not a very good hunting strategy. Why was the bird even that close to the pride of lions? Kiburi was still in earshot. Weird bird. He also really needed hunting practice.

The Pride/Aziza(to Kiburi)
The sunbathing lioness's dark golden pelt glimmered against her muscle tones as she jolted herself awake, ears perked and swiveling as her orange gaze landed on the black cub and a bird clumsily flapping its wings to freedom. Her gaze softened as she realized that the young cub was only trying to practice his hunting skills.
Her tail flicked and with a huff she stood, stretching her limbs and back with a large yawn, curling her tongue between her pearly fangs. She heftily hopped off her boulder and padded towards the cub, flicking her tail lightly behind her, it curled upwards in greeting, her orange gaze soft, voice gentle as she stood a step behind the dark cub, "old bird beak got away huh?" she grinned down at him.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Pride/Aasir
After a while of walking, his gaze flickered in curiosity to the scent of a pride, and the scent of young grew sweet on his tongue. He had a soft spot for little raskals but he decided it wasnt worth the trouble. He'd most certainly be taken as a threat. And his mission right now is to find food.
The white nomad trotted on, tasting the air for the scent of any prey. The problem was, there were too many scents to track. He'd have to pick one and stick with it. He was only one male, so zebra, water buffalo, and wildabeast would not be the right choice. Maybe warthog or gazelle? he thought.

Naru/the pride
-
Naru stretched out, lying in the golden rays of sunshine. She was bored. She needed some entertainment but the cubs were off playing one of their games further away and Naru wasn't interested. Her eyes darted from side to side, looking for her parents. Where are they?
Naru stood up and made her way down the rocks. She nodded at some other lionesses and walked out. Maybe hunting would cheer her up. Naru crouched down, the long blades of grass swaying in the breeze and gently tickling her nose. She was alert and waiting silently for prey. Her nose twitched as she spotted a bird not too far away. Closer..closer...almost...
She sneezed and the bird flew away. "Ugh!" Her hunting skills really needed help. Maybe there was something else?she thought hopefully.

Kiburi/ Pride ( to Aziza)
" Yeah..." Kiburi grumbled as he scrapes the soft ground with his claws. "I can never catch them." He looked up at the bronze lioness. "Why was there even a bird so close to the pride?" He asked.
Maisha/ pride
Maisha set off at a quick walk. She knew that often there where herds of prey near the river, especially on days like this where the sun was bright and the prey wanted a drink of cold water. She didn't hunt there much. Especially not alone. The river was deep and wide enough for crocodiles to hide beneath the murky surface and leap at an unsuspecting lion.
When she had finally got to the river she got lucky. A herd of gazelles. She could spot a few small ones two. Perfect for a lone lioness on a hunting trip. She laid her ears back flat against her head and stalked closer. She used the long grasses for cover. Sneaking to one long patch to the next. Now there was only a covering of short green grass. It thrived next to the river and the herbivores kept it short. She surveyed the herd. Now that she was closer she could pick out the weakest to target. There was one near the edge of the herd munching on the grass. A bit away even. It wasn't small but definitely not big. perfect. She unsheathed her claws and bolted out from the grass. An gazelle spotted her and ran away, the rest of the herd followed. Her eyes followed her target seeing where it went and where it might go. She raced after it. Then finally she leaped. Her claws tore through fur. Hunt complete.

The Pride/Aziza(to Kiburi)
The brilliant bronze lioness's golden orange gaze watched the young one as he spoke and smiled at his little voice. The poor thing seemed upset about not getting the catch, "well, Kiburi, as im sure youve heard a million times, itll take practice to get yourself a nice clean kill. your still young, but that aside, your learning fast. youll get it." she thought a moment and furrowed her brows lightly as she flicked her tail tip in thought, "are you making sure your tail is down? legs in tight when you crouch? getting close enough before pouncing, and staying down wind?" She asked the cub, hoping her questions would help improve the skills the cub was already using. "the birds are, well, bird brained." she laughed, "but hey, they also dont expect sleeping lions to pounce, nor do they expect feroious little cubs."
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The pride/Aasir(toMaisha)
The large white brute huffed, flicking an ear. which scent to follow? zebra? too big. hog? too far away. wildabeast? too big. gazelle? perfect. close by and small enough to power down. With a flick of his tail he went on his way. It didnt take long for him to reach a muddy river, the antelope were feeding there. a few were sure to meet there demise in ancient dragon like jaws near the rivers edge. He crouched low, very low, as hidden as he could possibly be, down wind. but he could only be as hidden as a white lion could. As he was scanning his target, his gaze lit as the heard split in terror, bleeting in fear as a lone lioness brutally and powerfully blundered her prey. too late. he thought, hed never catch one now, although his concern was not as concerning as he had thought. His gaze was on the lioness in curiosity. whered she come from? was she alone? did she have a pride? His bright blue gaze payed close attention to her demeanor. would it be wrong to approach? He knows how nomads are usually viewed and he wouldnt want to cause her discomfort.

Cackle/Tau
Tau slinked along the outskirts of her cackle's territory, her beady eyes darting the open savanna in search for signs of potential intruders. Her leg ached each time it touched down, dispite how meticulously she was limiting its contact with the ground. The dull throbbing pain was a nuisance more than anything. She snarled as the pain returned with her most recent step, swiftly turning on her front legs to claw at the ground where she had stepped. Tau yipped and snarled and she tore up the grass and dirt in a flurrying tantrum of flying claws and teeth. a nearby bird who had been scavenging for bugs nearby was startled and sprung away, making quite a racket with its flapping feathers. She paused aburptly, glaring at the bird's receeding form as though it had personally insulted her. She scoffed loudly, haughtily turning away to continue her patrol.

Asha | Cub | Pride | M: Kirubi (ind) Open!
-
Asha was relaxing on a sunny rock. The small lioness yawned, feeling lazy and unbothered to run around. She looked around the area, watching her brother for a bit as he attempted to catch a bird that had strayed unusually close to the pride. The little creature flew away with an alarmed squack. Asha watched as it flew away. The bird had pretty feathers, she noticed. Asha then went back to relaxing on the rock with the sun glimmering down on her golden fur.

Kiburi/ Pride (to Aziza)
Kiburi smile a bit at the last comment then tilted his head as he thought. " I think I'm stalking correctly..." He said slowly. " it's hard to keep my tail from from brushing against grass when I move."
He crouched down trying to mimic the older lions. His ears where about halfway down, and the tip of his tail flicked a bit. He looked up at Aziza. "Is this right? I think it is... I've seen other lions practice and I think this is sort of how they do it."

Maisha/ Pride( to Aasir)
Maisha breathed deeply. For such a small catch it was quite the chase. She stood there for a few moments then she saw the other lion. Pure white with blue eyes. She had never seen a white lion before. Some of the other lionesses in her Pride were pale herself included but never white.
Meeting his blue gaze she stepped in front of her prey, not knowing if she should attack or back down. He didn't look like he had trouble hunting. If he was here to steal her prey she could maybe escape with words. If not she certainly wouldn't go down without a fight. She relaxed, trying to look calm.
