yeah that makes sense -- it's nice to see it's still around, honestly. there's something about the old-internet feel that I really love

Definitely. XD

But we'll have people that come back. A lot of times you'll get school students that go on to college and that takes a lot of time, so they won't be on as much. Once they graduate, they tend to come back.

But there's always new members joining and rejoining!

did people just grow up? I know I left for a while after my sophomore year of high school, and now I'm in college and feeling nostalgic

Only a little bit, it depends on the time of day, the week and whatnot. During the week it's a lot more active.

Hello! During May of this year, I found a fox and buried it to wait for it to decompose. I have no prior experience in burying any animals for decomposure so I am completely unaware of what timeframe to expect. I am aware she will not be completely decomposed by now, however if anyone has any experience with foxes it would be great if you shared!

For reference:

she was rather small
buried about 30-50cm underground
in a black bin bag, tore it in a few places to allow decomposers to get in at her
the weather here is very humid and wet

looking to dig her up at a point where there's likely not going to be many flesh bits left or anything- i can wait many years

also if anyone has any tips for cleaning bones they'd be very helpful! my only experience has been cleaning a bit of mud off of bones (and soaks), since i find most of my bones without anything on them where something's picked them clean.

if nothing has stolen parts of her i should end up with the whole skeleton, which would be lovely! mostly excited about the skull :)

In my family, we've always put stuff we wanted clean on anthills, buried it in the anthill if we were worried something would move it. They'll strip it clean within weeks, or maybe a few months if it's big. We do that for deer skulls a sometimes.

Unfortunately I have literally never even seen an ant in this country
might be too cold

Greenland/Iceland? Think they and Antartica are the only places without ants.

I'm afraid I don't know of any other bugs/animals that are as efficient.
