a door; it stands alone before you. you feel an urge to open it... welcome to my experimental interactive-heavy adoptables. i don't expect it to last for long (a month?), but will make it worth your while. my adopts usually end with me as the creator burning out. i am prepared for that to happen, so i wish to warn you as well.
you can find some examples of my art here: 🔗🖼️
this will not be an 'easy' interactive per say, but it will be free. i am expecting some roleplay in response, instead of just a sentence.
please mail in (do not post) applications to this using the form below! themes mean colors, aesthetics, vibes, affects tailoring of adopts. pack id: pick themes you like: roleplay experience?: any notes?: Edited at July 18, 2024 02:21 PM by starmutt

you open the door, and step into the darkness beyond. "have a seat." you can barely see the outline of a stool in front of you. you feel uneasy.
the door hasn't closed yet; you can still leave. Currently, I will accept Reprobate and Nox through PM applicants. Everyone else is on waitlist, I might message another two should this end. If I fail at this, both will receive small compensation for roleplaying. :] You will run through the interactive together yet seperately. Your characters are not collaborating nor at the same door, but I will reply to both in one post. I will not continue until both of you have responded, but will proceed regardless if that reply does not occur within 48 hours.
Replies should be 1~3 sentences long, even if it is a choice step, I prefer you use complete sentences regardless, more motivating for me. You can ask questions to the gamemaster as your character through your replies.

The void seemed to consume all but the stool's bleak outline. A glance around brought no clarity, no answers. Carefully, I'd take my seat, wary of what's to come.

It's hard to tell if I heard a voice speak those words, or if it was my very own thoughts, yet I cannot deny their request. The urge to enter the door overwhelms me and I feel the need to move into the darkness and towards the stool, stumbling towards it in the inky black nothingness. I reach it and I sit, anxiously awaiting what will happen next. I feel like there's no turning back now. Edited at July 18, 2024 02:01 PM by Reprobate

as you take your seat, you hear a crackling noise behind you. like that of a dying campfire, the door vanishes into the darkness. a gnarly hand reaches out, lighting a single candle at the edge of the table. it then places three cards on the table.
🦴 "the coyote, a sly scavenger."
🌕 "the wolf, a prideful individual."
🐾 "the dog, a loyal companion." the cards vibrate before you, as if desperate to be chosen. "pick one." Edited at July 18, 2024 02:20 PM by starmutt

I stare at the cards for a while, my brain overwhelmed by the experience, shock and confusion still heavy on my mind, but still focused, I think hard. I decide it's best to put all reason aside- after all, this all isn't exactly a reasonable experience; and there's this strong feeling gnawing at me, begging me to reach my hand out towards a single card, and thus, I obey. The Coyote. My choice is made. Edited at July 18, 2024 03:18 PM by Reprobate

The quiet crackles from behind stir curiosity, but yet I remain still, succumbing. The following moment of silence pangs anxiety to gnaw its way up my abdomen and into my throat, that was until the hand appeared to split through the dark, shrouding void around it, which ushered out a quiet croak of fear. My hand drew up to tap the Coyote with my fingertips.

the other two cards melt into the table, your chosen card escaping your grasp and sliding into a slot in front of you. you can no longer move it, it appears glued to the wood. the image on the card seems to breathe a sigh of relief, but you could be imagining things. "curious; your choices." "no matter, i will make note."
a map rolls out before you. crude drawings depict a forested land, with farther tiles covered by fog. the hand reaches uncomfortably close to you, placing a token on your side. it retreats. "a new adventure. pick a tile. move your token." [ you can go forward, a single tree or to the right, a grassy clearing. ] trees and fog block all other passages.
