Welcome to Pyro! Decided to make an interactive adopts of my childhood imaginary island. Pyro is the island of flame and magic, where the ordinary can become extraordinary. Currently populating the island are the phoenixes and Dragonlings. Rumor has it centuries ago, the dragons lived along them but no longer can they be found here. Their descendants, the Dragonlings are what remain of the once magically magnificent creatures. The phoenixes are the island's guardians and rumor has it that they're the ones who thought you here. Maybe? No one has spoken to them in decades. All we can do is guess.

Welcome to Pyro Part 2: "hello." A voice behind you speaks and you turn. In front of you is a six foot tall human, or that's what it seems. His hair is a shiny black and so is the large feathers that cover his body and limbs that extend to his dark wings. Wings? You wonder before noticing the dark gray splashes and patterns along his plumage. "Welcome to Pyro." He continues. "My name is Xing, meaning star in our language. And I'm the last of the black phoenixes." The black phoenixes? You wonder but then remember the strange patterns. The phoenixes were supposed to be elusive what was one doing here talking to you. "Enjoy your stay." Xing continued. "Feel free to explore around Pyro. There will be many Dragonlings to find and tame and if you're lucky, some phoenixes." You look at him confused. Dragonlings? Phoenixes? Taming? Xing seems to realize your confusion. "You're a newcomer then? Let me explain..."

Dragonlings in WP Terms Im not sure if this is allowed but this is purely so people can understand Dragonlings better if they have something they can relate to. Rarity: Dragonlings are basically any animal with some dragon like parts. A snake with a mane. A frog with wings. A butterfly with talons. A snake with the head. A wolf with the serpent tail. You get the idea. Rarity is based off what percentage of the creature is dragon-like. If a creature is only dragonlike in the snout, low rarity. If it has the wings, tail and snout, higher rarity. A low part of the rarity is dependent on the color and design of the dragonling, which I usually go for natural colors. Some of the dragonlike parts may be a bit more unnatural colors. Boosts/Defects: I want to make this clear, boosts and defects are not Natural Ability (NA). Do not get them mixed up in anyway as they can be very different. Boosts and defects are unnatural abilities/hindrances given to a dragonling. This is a random chance, will not be guaranteed. Natural Abilities (NA): While boosts/defects aren't guaranteed, a NA is. Each species has their own and its the same for every member of the species. For example, Wolflings (part wolf part dragon) have the Heightened Nose NA, which is guaranteed for every Wolfling but not a Pantherling or Bearling. NA's are guaranteed every dragonling will have one. Personality: For every dragonling, I'll provide a bit of information for whether or not they're easily tamable and if they work well together with who. They will also have a defining trait. Wolflings may be loyal, Ostritchlings may be fast, Fishlings may be great swimmers. Specializes/Weak/Neutral: The final defining traits of any dragonling. Under Specializes, you will find a list of animal kingdoms (sometimes they will be more specific) that the specific dragonling is nearly guaranteed to tame any dragonling based off an animal from that kingdom. For example if there's Fish under Specializes, that dragonling will most likely be able to tame Fishlings/Sharklings/any other animal that can be considered fish. Under Weak, you'll find animals that the specific dragonling won't be able to tame. For example, a Flyling wouldn't be able to tame a Frogling. Under Neutral, you'll find animals that the specific dragonling might be able to tame, might not. It's a coin flip basically. For example, a Pantherling might be able to tame a Tigerling, might not. Dragonlings in My Own Terms- Me explaining dragonlings in my own terms without the WP standards. You don't have to read through this. Long ago, when dragons still ruled Pyro, the phoenixes brought in a strange animal. It was small, around the size of a dog with a bushy tail and russet red. The tip of the tail was white. The phoenixes introduced it as a Fox before leaving it with the dragons. The dragons, unsure what to do about it, treated it as an outcast. One day, a lone dragon took interest in the Fox and they mated, the first of their kind, giving birth to the race of dragonlings. After that, the phoenixes mysteriously brought in more animals, but not all mated to a dragon, some to a dragonling. The Foxlings were the leaders, until the Lionlings, Wolflings and Hyenalings came. They wanted to form a council of the leaders, everyone equal. It was different from what the dragons were used to and they disowned the dragonlings. That was the start of the Dragonling Council, a loosely formed organization with most dragonlings living freely over the continent. The more they inter-bred, the more diverse they became until the dragons mysteriously disappeared. The Dragonling Council disspersed, the dragonlings going their separate way. Determined to re-make the Council, the phoenixes secretly brought humans to the island and hoped for the best.

Phoenix Guides- "The phoenixes." Xing takes a pause, catching his breath. You take the time to go over what he's just revealed. "We are the most elusive creatures here and if you find us, its nearly the best thing that could ever happen. You can only meet one at a time, though its unlikely you would have found two anyway. When used, Phoenix Guides have the unique ability to alert you of the nearest dragonling possible for each possible move and how many moves it will take. However, this follows a specific series of moves and you won't be guaranteed the chance." Xing pauses. "The Guides are often seen as anti-social, unwilling to help humans. However, it's because we can't force the Dragonling Council back together ourselves and we need others to do it."
