Map has been completed, I just need to finish full descriptions for everything now! There will also be multiple versions of the map, including ones that have rodes and stuff on it, train tracks, ect.

Towns & Cities

Harmony’s Bank

A small ranching town located to the West. It's a mostly normal-looking town, surrounded by lush fields that eventually turn into forests. It is middle-class and has a general store, doctor’s office, Gunshop, two saloons, sheriff’s office, church, and a few stables where a selection of horses or ranch animals can be bought and sold. Harmony’s Bank is also a popular place for cattle drivers and fur traders.

PurePoint

An immigrant mining town located near DeadDrop Mountain. Currently, most of the town is in shambles and prices are through the roof, but before the incident happened PurePoint was a relatively inviting-looking town, till you met the locals and realized most of them were miserable. Originally run by Vernon and Catherine O’Connor, till one day Vernon mysteriously disappeared, and the town was left to Catherine and their 14 living children, though not all of the kids would stay long. The town is now owned by Madeline and Emmet O’Connor, two of the eldest siblings. Has a lineup of a saloon, sheriff’s office, doctor’s office, veterinarian, gunshop, general store, tailor, and church.

Ruby Hilly

A classic western town, located to the South in the middle of a desert-like area. Was originally a very dangerous place, between the bar fights, rattlesnakes, and local gang. Though since the gang has been killed off it's been a bit more peaceful, though there's no lack of bar fights for sure. The town includes two saloons, a general store, gunshop, doctor’s office, and sheriff’s office. Besides its known violent civilians, it's also known for bounty hunters who come to drop off criminals. There are always plenty of posters scattered about the sheriff’s office for anyone interested.

Prospector’s Post

A mining village located NorthWest of DeadDrop Mountain. It's very small and not much is there, but for what it's worth some lucky people have struck gold and silver in the mountains next to it, which is why it's even still standing. All that's there is a tiny general store and an inn. For as crappy as the village is though, it's a good spot for train robbing, and maybe a little treasure hunting.

Blueberry

A small farming town SouthWest of DeadDrop Mountain. They’re best known for, well, blueberries, and other kinds of fruits, but mostly blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Bison inhabit the plains that Blueberry stands on, and the town has made a decent profit because of it. The town is a great gathering spot for people, and a lot of weddings are held in the church there because of the beautiful views and lush plants.

Kingsley

A very large town located East of DeadDrop Mountain. Steelworking and oil mining are the town's two biggest money-making businesses, though the families that run these companies don’t really see eye to eye. The Taylor family (steelworking) and the Jones family (oil mining) have a very long line of generational hate for each other, and while the town is prospering, the civilians have a bad feeling about the two families' awful despise for each other. The town includes two saloons, a sheriff’s office, doctor’s office, veterinarian, gunshop, general store, tailor, and a few churches.

Menford

A large city located next to the sea. It is famous for its well-renowned locals. The Garfeild’s, Bazin’s, Hoffmann’s, and Astor’s are a few of the most famous families that reside within Menford, though most of them have mansions scattered on the outer hills of the city. The city has practically anything you could think of, including the standard lineup, plus a barder, a line of department stores, and best of all, an ice cream parlor :)

Ranches & Farms

Stone Valley (Pastures)

A large ranch located between Harmony’s Bank and Blueberry. It's well known for cattle driving, especially between 1855 and 1873, but besides cattle, the ranch also includes sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and horses. Owned by Greyson and Julia Sweet, who have three kids, two eldest sons, and one younger daughter. One son is dead, and their daughter decided to randomly leave one day, but their other son still helps them on the farm whenever he can.

Whispering Oaks (Ranch)

A large ranch located between PurePoint, RubyHill, and Kingsley. They and Stone Valley have always been good to each other, and have been collaborative in most of their cattle driving. Run by Austin Miller and Elizabeth Miller, with their two eldest sons John and Jacob, and three younger daughters, the ranch has been around for a few decades. They supply the local towns with fresh meat, milk, and eggs and are known for being fairly friendly.

Restless Ranch

A small ranch located between Ruby Hill and Kingsley. A classic western town with a classic western ranch? Yes, thats what this is. Known for its well bred work and race horses. They also own a good portion of cattle, plus chickens, goats, sheep, and pigs as well.

MeadowGrove (Farm)

A long stretching plantation for tobacco, plus some smaller fields for crops such as corn. The people who own it aren’t seen around too much and prefer to keep to themselves, though a lot of civillians living in Harmony’s Bank work in the fields for whatever money they can get.

Farrelley’s Farm

A large farm on the river between Fort McClair and Menford. It is mostly known for producing wheat and corn that supplies the west with fresh, local produce. Surrounded by miles of fresh fields, three small shacks lie in the middle of it all, with only a few trees providing shade every acre, around the lake, and at the edge of the property. One of these wooden structures is a large barn holding five draft horses as well as equipment to plow the fields. Meanwhile, the other two buildings, with puffing chimneys and small rickety porches, house the workers and Farrelley family. The only other structure on the property is the ruins of a burnt-down building whose foundations are barely standing.

Name: William Brant
Age: 19 y/o
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual in denial
Rank: Member

Appearance:
William

This young man has a tall and lanky build, standing 5’11. His otherwise light skin is oftentimes tanned with a slightly red tint from working and spending a lot of time in the sun.

His face is clean-shaven and covered with light freckles. His face is heart shaped with a single downturned hazel colored eye.

William has wild, slightly wavy, brown hair that grows quickly if not regularly cut. While he prefers to keep it on the shorter side, he does put it in a small ponytail if it gets too long and he doesn’t have the time to cut it, just so that he can keep it out of his eye.

His body is littered with scars and on his right hand all fingers but his thumb and pinky are missing, however the most attention-grabbing thing about the man and the first thing that others notice when they first meet him is his lack of a left eye.

When it comes to clothes, you’ll see him in some type of loose cotton shirt or flannel and a pair of worn out jeans. William has a pair of nice black boots with some lighter details and silver spurs. Other than that he has a black bandana that he wears around his neck most of the time, and also a black gambler hat, however he doesn’t wear his hat that much and it’s often found laying in random places around camp after he’s taken it off and forgotten about it.

Personality:
To say that William is a loner would be false, while he does keep quiet and a bit to himself for the most part, he’s open to conversation and he doesn’t really have a problem joining into an already ongoing conversation, he just chooses not to for the most part, but he’s always listening and aware of what’s going on around him, he’s done the mistake of trusting people around him blindly and it’s not one that he’ll do again. While he will talk with you and be helpful, he’d most likely never consider you a friend. William prefers to keep others at arm’s length, that way he won’t feel as hurt if they are to ever turn on him.

However just because he's open for conversation and willing to help out when necessary, he’s not really some cheerful and friendly guy, his personality is a lot like that of a grumpy old man.

He’s still young though and despite his young age, he is smarter than what most think. Having had to fend for himself and grow up quickly has caused him to mature sooner than most his age.

You will never know where he stands exactly as he’s a good liar and he’s good at making you think that he’s loyal to you even when he’s not. With the years he’s become a great liar, mostly he uses it to protect himself but he will lie to help others too, no question.

While he, for the most part, tries to stay out of fights and disagreements and keep out of trouble, he’s not always successful and when he gets in a fight and starts getting riled up, it doesn’t take long for him to snap and when he does that, you don’t want to be near him.

Strengths:
Good liar - The youngster lies like no other, not only does he use it as a defense mechanism but also to help others and he does it without batting an eye.

Good with animals - William is good with any animal but especially horses, under his short life he’s already broken in his fair share of horses and no matter how much trouble they give him, he’s always extremely patient with them. He’s always liked animals, maybe too much sometimes, if you ever lose him while out in town, he most likely saw a dog and got distracted petting it.

Crafty - He’s picked up a lot of useful skills in life and he’s especially good at working with leather, having crafted a few saddles along with other things in his life. He’s also become quite good at other things such as cooking, gambling, working the hooves of horses, tracking game, among other things.

Weaknesses:
Sticks out - No matter how hard he’d try to blend in, it would be hard, he doesn’t exactly have a face that you’d miss or forget.

Bad shot - Due to having just one eye and originally being right-handed, his aim is not what it once was and he prefers close range fights over long range.

Temper - After everything that’s happened to him, he’s a bit of a loose cannon, when he gets mad the best thing to do is leave him alone and get away from him. He sees red and pretty much looses control of his own actions and goes at you with murderous intent. Depending on your relationship to him and the situation he usually gets really apologetic afterwards.

Backstory:
His backstory is something he doesn’t like to say much about and there aren’t many that know much about it but let’s just say that the 19 years that he’s been alive hasn’t exactly been a walk in the park.

Here’s the shortened version:
His family was never wealthy so it was no surprise to anyone when they were killed for not paying all their debts, leaving William and his sister to pay the debts off.

After their parents' deaths, he and his older sister stuck with each other for awhile and tried to survive on their own but one day his sister abandoned him, leaving him to fend for himself at 14 years old as she had found a way out and a better life.

William landed a job as a farmhand and worked there for several years despite his shitty boss and shitty pay. He did become great friends with the boss’s son who later on talked him into killing the boss and soon after William left the son and ranch behind after a fight with him.

After leaving his job and not being able to continue paying off the debt, the people his parents had owed the debt to found him and what happened the next few months after that is something he claims to not remember. It’s during those months that he lost his eye and fingers as well as revived many of his scars.

Not long after he’d escaped and healed, thanks to a kind lady who’d found him in the woods after his escape and nursed him back to health, his abusers slowly started turning up brutally murdered.

Once he’d taken care of them it wasn’t long before he found the gang and after some consideration, he joined them and has been with them for roughly 2 years now. While he struggles to trust pretty much anyone, the gang is the closest thing he has to family/friends and he does feel the safest around them.

Other:
He has his own playlist because why not?: William

~~~~~~~
Horse:
Name: Scud
Age: 14 y/o
Gender: Mare
Breed: Percheron
Appearance:
Scud has a slightly sportier build than what is normal for her breed and she stands at 17.1 hh. She’s a blue roan with a rather short and thick black mane as well as a long, thick flowy tail. She’s got no face or leg markings and her feathering is minimal.
She has all black tack that her rider has made by himself, the only thing that he hasn’t made is her black, white and blue saddle pad.
The black saddle that the mare wears is specially fitted to her, and William, and is relatively light in weight. It sits perfectly on her back but William still chooses to use both a pulling breast collar and a saddle britchen, all because the tack is special modified with some extra metal loops and holes here and there, making it so that he can easily use the setup as a harness by adding a few extra straps that he always keeps in his saddle bag, thus making it easy for him to hook the mare up to any nearby wagons.
Personality:
The mare can be quite nasty, biting and striking at people, unless you’ve managed to win her heart with treats and scratches and even then you’re not entirely safe in case she has a bad day.
Under the saddle she’s very sensitive to her rider’s cues and William is able to ride her almost entirely with his seat. Scud loves to work and her temperament tends to get worse if she doesn’t get to do so. She’s a very versatile horse and likes to do a little bit of everything. For her size she’s surprisingly agile and fast but it’s nothing compared to a smaller and more sporty built horse. Her bad attitude isn’t always negative as she tends to strike at people who she feels threatened by and even some predators if they get all up in her personal space. The mare is rather bombproof though, unfazed by gunshot and predators for the most part.
Other:
He stole her about 2 years earlier and has kept her since, before her he used to go through horses quickly, stealing and selling them to make a quick extra buck.
~~~

Name: Esther Reed
Age: 28 y/o
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Lesbian
Rank: Leader

Appearance:
Esther is a beautiful woman, standing at 5’6 with a slim build and she's what most people would call flat, she doesn't have much of a chest or any other curves really, however this is not something that's ever bothered her. She’s got light, porcelain colored skin that seems to stay the same shade all year round, never tanning or getting burnt no matter how long she spends out in the sun.

The female’s diamond shaped face has a pair of stunning ice blue eyes, almost white, accompanied by an upturned nose and a pair of thin lips with a soft pink-ish hue to them. Under her left eye, there's a small black mole, like a beauty mark. Esther’s eyebrows are thin and brown in color while her eyelashes are full and long with a deep black color.

The woman has long wavy hair that reaches her waist and messy bangs that she's cut herself to get some hair out of her face. It has a beautiful platinum color and she either wears it in a bun or completely loose and free. It's not that she can't do her hair, she just can't be bothered to do so when there's no reason to.

When it comes to clothing, Esther is most commonly seen wearing a light blue blouse with a stand up collar and a dark brown split skirt, it's her everyday outfit that she finds the most comfortable however once it starts getting colder or she knows she’s got a mission ahead of her it’s far more usual to see her wearing a white cotton shirt, a pair of black jeans held up with the help of suspenders and a black leather coat and to top it all of, a black pinched front hat.

Personality:
On the outside, Esther may seem sweet and friendly but that's an act she puts on to make others drop their guards and underestimate her. The woman is cunning and when she wants something, she’ll take it.

The woman is stone-cold on the inside, she always keeps up a cheerful tone and she cares a lot about her friends and family but she would kill them in the blink of an eye if they crossed her. She’s naturally suspicious of everyone she meets and it takes a lot for her to trust you so if you break that trust, you’ll have to face the consequences of it, it's as simple as that.

Esther would never lie but she tends to twist the truth in her favor, a lot. Anything the blonde does is for her own and her gang’s benefit, she's not one for selfless acts of kindness, she’ll help a dying man if there is something in it for her, otherwise she might as well watch him bleed out.

She’s careful about showing the “darker” sides of her personality though, she knows others would see her differently if they knew what she was actually like so for the most part her friends and family will be met with a friendly smile from her and see a kind, gentle woman who’s only as firm as she has to be. Few people know what she’s actually like and she prefers it that way, if people see you as weak then it's easier to beat them.

Strengths:
Skilled with firearms - The woman is very skilled and accurate when it comes to shooting and she never hesitates, doesn't matter what she's firing at.

Objective - She very rarely makes decisions based on her feelings, she looks at the facts and decides from there and once she's made her mind up, no one can change it.

Quick - This you can take in two ways and neither would be wrong. Esther is as quick on her feet as she is when it comes to thinking.

Weaknesses:
Hand-to-hand combat - The woman is most comfortable holding a gun rather than having to fight some hand-to-hand, she's not that strong physically, nor has she ever been trained to fight without weapons, anything she knows, she's learnt herself.

Her family - She considers the gang and any of her friends her family and no one gets to hurt them. She's extremely protective when it comes to them.

Feelings - To show her actual feelings is weak, that's what she was learnt from a young age and she stands by it to this day. She never shows what she's actually feeling, she doesn't allow herself to feel, so when things finally get too much, she breaks down and all those feelings overflow at once.

Backstory:
Esther rarely speaks of her past, she doesn't think it's anyone’s business, it's not who she is anymore. Her life used to be very different from today. She was born wealthy, she lived in a nice house with people who'd service her if she just snapped her fingers.

She used to be a sweet girl and she had a very good friend that she grew up with, Mae. That girl and Esther were extremely close but when they got older Mae was to marry some wealthy and influential man and when they did, she had to move which obviously didn't make either of the women happy.

They kept in contact with letters but when Esther was told how Mae’s husband was abusive something changed inside her for the first time and it didn't take long for her to saddle up her horse and start the journey to Mae.

Long story short, she did not take kindly to someone putting their hands on her Mae and the husband died a bloody death.

Instead of her friend being grateful to be free from her husband, the woman was distraught and reported Esther to the law. At that point, the blonde knew that there was no return and she left a life of wealth and comfort behind. She's been running from the law ever since, learning how to fend for herself.

Other:
Any character of mine has a playlist pretty much so if you're interested then have a listen I guess? Esther

~~~~~~
Horse:
Name: Comanche
Age: 12 y/o
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Gypsy Cob
Appearance:
Comanche stands just 15.1 hh but due to him always carrying himself proudly, the stallion appears larger than what he is. He’s got a light palomino coat with minimal tobiano markings across his body. The horse has a long and thick mane and tail that seems to stay perfectly white despite what the horse does. Comanche has a lot of feathering protecting his legs and like his legs, he has a sturdy body. The stallion is proportionally built and quite the sight to see with a heavy yet sporty build and a muscular neck like many other stallions.
For tack, the stallion has a black saddle and bridle, both with white details on it paired with a matching breast collar that you can attach a lantern to for those late night rides.
Personality:
Comanche is like a polite older man most of the time. He’s extremely quiet and gentle with most people and despite being a stallion, he’s perfectly fine standing next to mares, and any other horses. The horse does carry himself tall and proud and while this may give the appearance of him being wild and excited, he just likes to show off, it's like he knows he’s pretty looking.
Other:
Esther has had the horse since he was four and he used to be extremely unruly.
~~~

Name: Delaney O’Connor
Age: 15 y/o
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Questioning
Rank: Newcomer

Appearance:
Delaney, or Del as he’s more commonly called, stands at 5’5, on the shorter side of people his age. In terms of muscle, there's not much for him to brag about, he's got an average-looking body, at best, you could call it slightly toned but that would be stretching it. His skin is a nice warm beige color, slightly sunburnt from spending a lot of time outside.

The guy's face is speckled with light freckles that spread down onto his shoulders. His eyes are a dark blue color, almost to the point where they look black in certain lighting, and his eyelashes are long and dark. Del’s eyebrows are rather thin and ever so slightly arched towards the end. His nose is nothing too out of the ordinary, average in size, slightly pointy, however it is a bit crooked due to an old injury. As for his lips, they are average in size, possibly leaning slightly towards the thinner side of the spectrum, and most of the time, they can be seen forming a playful smirk.

When it comes to hair, Del’s hair is a mess. It’s black in color and very fluffy. It's slightly curly and kept between short and medium in length. He leaves it alone to do its own thing most of the time so the best way to describe it is simply; A mess.

When it comes to body modifications he does actually, to the dislike of many he meets, have a single earring in his left ear, a simple pearl earring, nothing fancy but he refuses to take it out no matter how many comments he receives about it. As for scarring there isn't much to say either. As mentioned before, his nose is slightly crooked but there aren't any scars. As far as scarring goes, he has the occasional cuts and bruises here and there and of course some turn into smaller scars but that's it.

For clothes, the boy wears nothing fancy, a pair of worn out, sun bleached, black jeans and a flannel shirt, he’s got several in different colors but the most common one for him to wear would be his black and grey one. Del wears a denim scout jacket when it gets colder that, like most of his clothes, is too big for him. He's got a black gambler hat with a hawk feather attached to the band.

Personality:
Delaney isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea, so to say. There isn't a serious bone in the boy’s body, he survives purely on his ability to talk his way out of anything and joke about just about any situation he ends up in.

He can be quite sarcastic, something that others often mistake for rudeness. Really he's the type that you either hate right from the start or you tolerate and he slowly starts growing on you, pretty much.

Del is often pretty unbothered by whatever is going on around him, he's one to laugh through a near death experience. Honestly, he does have a few screws loose. As long as he's able to get through life relatively smoothly, he's not one to complain.

The guy has always done whatever is convenient and most profitable for him so while he's quite the friendly and talkative guy, he's not oblivious, you can't take advantage of him easily. If he does something for you then that probably means you can, and will, do something for him.

He’s not easy to piss off but if you succeed, he’s not one to fight you or start yelling. His mouth is his most valuable asset and he puts it to use even when angry, poking at every little insecurity that he can find until he feels better.

Strengths:
Pickpocketing - Del has learnt how to pickpocket to keep himself alive and he’s gotten really good at it.

Clever - Del might just be the most annoying person you’ll ever meet but he is extremely clever and there is no denying that.

Speed and agility - Now while he’s good at pickpocketing, he does still sometimes get caught, and when he does he just has to run like hell. He’s gotten very fast and agile because of this and the boy is like an eel, it's impossible to catch him and hold him down.

Weaknesses:
Physical strength - He may have a strong mind but that's about it, he’s not muscular whatsoever and he’s too lazy to do anything about it.

Self preservation - Delaney is a daredevil to say the least, he doesn't stop to weigh the risks, most of the time he just dives head first into whatever’s ahead of him.

Talking - Del can talk, a lot, and it tends to annoy people, especially when you throw sarcasm in the mix, most people either don't get it or just don't like it so his mouth gets him in trouble a lot, but on the other hand it often gets him out of it too.

Backstory:
Delaney was born in Ireland but his parents moved with him to the States in hopes of a better life with more money.

They bought a house in a small town and for a while, all was good, until his mother fell sick, his father had to start working even more and harder than before but he still found difficulty making ends meet.

A few months later, his mother died and soon his dad followed, having overworked himself. Del was left an orphan and with no family to take care of him, he had to fend for himself.

He stayed in the house for a bit before people started realizing that he was living there alone and that's when he left. Since then he’s been moving from town to town, learning how to fend for himself, doing any job he can get but mostly he gets his food and income from pickpocketing and stealing.

Other:
You guessed it :D Another playlist: Delaney

Also lil guy has a bit of an Irish accent.

~~~~~~
Horse:
Name: Loco
Age: 5 y/o
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Nokota
Appearance:
Loco stands at 14.3 hh and has a compact, muscular build, his neck being a bit small for his size but nothing that makes him appear too wonky. He’s a grey varnish roan, appearing mostly white but with light grey splotches here and there. Around his eyes and muzzle, you can see that the horse’s skin has a pink-ish color around there, opposed to the usual grey-ish color. Loco’s mane and tail is not too thick but very long and oftentimes a bit tangled up.
The horse has a simple black bridle and saddle, nothing fancy, just something Del stole some time back and they’ve been using since. Instead of a saddle pad, he has an elk hide underneath the saddle but for the most part, Del is too lazy to saddle his horse and just uses a simple war bridle on Loco.
Personality:
Loco is not an easy horse and he has a mind of his own. The stallion is awful on the ground towards nearly everyone but Del and will strike at anyone trying to approach him. He gets along well enough with other horses but humans are a no go.
When the horse doesn't want to work, it's very clear, he’ll walk away if Del is trying to catch him or just buck the kid off in the middle of riding. The horse would never leave Del though and always stays close, even when he doesn't want to be caught.
He is still young and when he’s in a good mood, he’ll be very playful. So when he acts up it's not always from aggression or not wanting to work, sometimes Loco just has a bit too much energy, it's very easy to see which one it is though.
Other:
Del got Loco roughly a year ago while passing through a town and seeing people attempting to break in the wild stallion. After watching the stallion strike at people and throw them off, he manage to convince them into letting him take the horse of their hands, his original plan being to sell the horse to someone else for a quick buck but he ended up bonding with the horse and Loco seems to be the only one who tolerates all his dumb ideas, for the most part.
Name:
Lucile ‘Maria’ Mason
Nicknames:
Luci (Lucy), Lucia, Sam/Samuel, Marty
Alias(s):
Sam Myers, Victoria Lee, Martin Douglas, Isabella Ortega, Andrés De Santa
Age:
27
Gender:
Female (She/He/They)
She’ll switch between referring to herself as a woman or a man. She doesn’t care nor doesn’t mind what other people refer to her as. (If this took place in the modern day she would definitely consider herself genderfluid)
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Rank:
Newcomer
Appearance:
Link
(Short Ver.)
Masculine build, muscular, completely flat-chested, tall, handsome, light brown skin, cold gray eyes, short/long black hair with white patches, lots of scars, loves wearing ponchos, normally wears her custom belt-buckle, two rings, an old green bandana, and a black leather hat fitted with an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake skin, preferred weapons are her 1860 Colt Army Revolver and her 1860 Spencer Repeating Rifle.
(Long Ver.)
6’3 and 176 lbs
Lucile has a very masculine build, with more muscle and way less chest than the average woman you’d find walking the streets. She 'disguises' herself as a man often, both to sway the public’s eye and to keep the law off her real identity. She has mostly Venezuelan and Mexican heritage, but her grandfather was French, which is where her name comes from.
She has a very recognizable face, paired with her easy-to-spot black and white hair (caused by Poliosis), and cold gray eyes, she's not someone to be forgotten easily. Large clawed scars tear across her face and forehead, with a similar scar on her chest, and an even bigger one ripping through her hip. Her upper left arm and shoulder have deep burns ingrained in them, that lead into her hip and stop almost halfway across her stomach and back, and her left foot is also burned. There is a slight chunk taken out of her shoulder, and another on her hip, where bullets have grazed her. The only real scar she has from any bullet is on her left leg, where one struck her but didn’t go the whole way through. Any other scars on her littering her light brown skin are more than likely the cause of getting into knife fights.
Luci’s haircut changes a lot, and though she keeps her hair short most of the time, sometimes it is longer. Normally whenever she goes to town she’ll use coffee or black tea to dye the white patches in her hair to make them darker, so she blends in better with crowds. Whenever on robberies she is more likely to wear a wig, to hide her true hair color and keep her appearance constantly changing so the law is always thrown off.
Her clothes vary on what she's doing, but the majority of her shirts are cotton and plaid patterned. Around camp, she’ll normally be seen wearing her old satin shirt, and if it’s cold or snowing she’ll have a poncho on over it. Luci has always had a large collection of outfits, particularly for when she’d go on jobs as a certain person or with a certain backstory. Occasionally she can be seen in a dress, but she is most comfortable in pants and shirts. Her main accessories include her belt, fitted with a scuffed-up custom-made buckle that is a symbol of her ex-gang, showing the outline of a leaping rabbit with the words ‘U.S. Rabbit 1862’ on it, two rings, one gold and one silver, an old pale green bandana, and her hat, made from black leather with an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake skin fitted around it. She always carries a revolver and a rifle with her, her preferred weapons being her 1860 Colt Army Revolver and her 1860 Spencer Repeating Rifle, which were both gifts from an older gentleman riding with Red’s Gang, who had left momentarily to fight in the Civil War, before returning afterward with whatever he could bring back. She’s had both guns for years and is severely protective of them.
Personality:
+ Adaptable, Charming, Optimistic, Shrewd, Venturesome.
~ Casual, Competitive, Deceptive, Irreverent, Stubborn.
- Assertive, Blunt, Crafty, Indulgent, Steely.
Short Ver.
Two-faced, seems respectable + calm + collected, but can be very revenge-hungry + harsh + unforgiving, grudge-holder, hopeless romantic, switches between being relatively quiet + a loner and being very extravagant + talkative + flirtatious, dangerously stubborn + confident sometimes, occasionality a horribly crazy bastard.
Long Ver.
Lucile is strange, in a way that she can be so two-faced some people aren’t able to tell what she's really like. She's an actor, through and through, and keen to use her skills as a means of survival, no matter the cost. Even if it means losing who she really is. On one hand, she’s respectable, calm, collected, and maybe a bit extravagant. Get her riled up though and you’ve never met a crazier bastard. She can be quite revenge-hungry and holds grudges, bad, not believing people can change their ways once they’ve gone down a certain path. Luci can be quite hypocritical, but she's too stubborn to admit when she's going against her own words. She normally seems very self-aware though, so nobody can tell if she knows exactly what she’s saying or not.
Appearance is very important to her, physically and mentally. Physically, Lucile can get so caught up in what she looks like sometimes that it makes her appear self-absorbed, but she tells herself she maintains herself for the people around her, in order to keep up her dashing, pretty-boy act that has kept her alive for so long. Mentally, Lucile is secretly always holding on by a thread, having to deal with seemingly random spouts of aggression, jealousy, and self-loathing. She’s a bit of a mess, and while she’s normally very open about her feelings and past, she’d rather everyone else not know that about her.
When it comes to romance, Lucile has always been a hopeless romantic, though she hates to admit it due to her pride. No matter how much she loves telling stories, discussing her past relationships has never gone too well. She chooses to try and stay hopeful that someday she’ll find somebody to actually care for, who cares for her back, and that they’ll live comfortably together. She seems more drawn to women romantically than men, but she's never cared.
Likes:
Coffee, French cuisine, playing guitar, telling stories, collecting guns, dry open fields, pretty women, goats
Dislikes:
Tea, alligator (as a food), heights, ladders, snowy mountains, being lonely, being not lonely, her own violent habits
Strengths:
Great Actor- Lucile is a liar, a well-taught, charming liar. The first people she had made friends with in Red’s Gang were con artists and she learned everything she could from them. Ruth Russel and Franklin Freeman were both very different in terms of their type of con artistry, but Lucile held on to whatever she could gain. She can be a flirtatious saloon girl, a tired prospector traveling home from Nevada, a confident salesman trying to sell a miracle cure, or whatever else she needs to be to get what she wants.
Physically Strong- Lucile has been building herself up for years, going from a scrawny kid to the hunk she is today. Getting beat and thrown around by a certain gang-mate for as long as she allowed was a good enough motivator for her to start working out, and it paid off. Years of bar fights and mercenary work have given her plenty of experience with hand-to-hand combat too. She loves brawling a lot more than she loves shooting and knows herself as capable.
Understanding- No matter how stubborn and cold Lucile can be, she can care quite a lot. Luci constantly refers to herself as a bad person, and she is, but that has never shied her away from giving genuinely good advice to others, normally in hopes they’ll turn out better than her. Sitting down to get a few drinks or just listening to someone ramble are things she won’t usually say no to.
Weaknesses:
Stubborn- Lucile doesn’t like taking orders and because of this she’ll only listen to specific people. If you are not someone who's been put in charge (and accepted as in charge by her) then she feels no need to listen to what you tell her and she’ll just wander off to do whatever she thinks is best.
Kind of Insane Sometimes- Lucile can be quite… short-fused, in a way, especially when she's drunk. She can seem all friendly and talkative, but a single insult or mention of a topic she doesn’t like speaking of can put her in a bit of a frenzy. Any small mistake, on her part or others, can set her off on a tangent. She can have difficulty suppressing her rage, but she can normally get a grip once she's given some space to think and ramble. Though upon getting riled up enough she might yell, scream, and break things, but the scariest part might be the murderous look that’ll settle into her gaze once she goes quiet again.
Horrible With Animals- She’s never had luck with animals, really at all. Cats and goats are about the only kinds that can stand to be around her. She’s never been good with dogs, or even horses, and wild animals seem to love targeting her especially. She’s been attacked at least once by a cougar, bear, snake, wolves, and whatever the hell else is lurking in the woods (though maybe not entirely accidentally unprovoked). Luci avoids interactions with random animals as much as possible, for fear that one day she’ll finally get mauled to death.
Backstory:
(Short Ver.)
Born March 12, 1848, and raised in Del Lobo, Mexico, by her parents Esperanza Castro and Daniel Mason who had originally moved from Venezuela. At 6 years of age, her family moved from Mexico to The United States where they settled down in the town of Blueberry and started a small farm, though their peace was short-lived. After her father fell in with a group of outlaws and died rotting in a jail cell, 12-year-old Lucile and her mother moved East to the town of PurePoint to live with her grandparents. Within only a few weeks of living there, her mother was shot dead, and Lucile had to live solely with her grandparents, who then moved to Kingsley to escape the O’Connors. By age 14 both of Lucile’s grandparents had succumbed to illnesses and passed away due to their poor living conditions, leaving her alone and having to fend for herself. Leaving her grandparents’ home behind, Lucile tried to find herself a job, hoping to make a living. But rejected, covered head to toe in mud, and left to die in a ditch, Lucile was found and taken in by a gang of outlaws that would soon teach her more than just how to make some money.
Her 13 years in that gang wasn’t exactly a fun time. Even though Red’s Gang was more associated with doing ‘regular’ work such as cattle driving, bounty hunting, being mercenaries, etc, rather than robbing and killing, that didn’t make being in the gang any less ‘gang-like’ or dangerous. People came and went from the gang, some leaving by choice, others by force. Many of them just died. Lucile fought hard, hoping to never give up on the people who took her in. She’d made good friends, even grown to love a boy, but those first few years were filled with bloodshed, and she found out quickly that trust was hard to hand out and respect was something most could hardly afford. Over the years Red’s Gang would affiliate themselves with multiple big business owners located in the city of Menford in order to make money. It would be when Lucile was given a request to help the Hoffmans destroy the Astor family’s company that Lucile would meet the downfall of her stability. The gold ring she wears on her ring finger, her pocket watch, and her torn, yet favored, satin shirt, are all her biggest reminders of what she let herself become. From that point, Lucile had let herself go for a while. Drinking, smoking, hanging around bars with saloon girls, was all she could muster the strength to do. She’d eventually pick herself back up with her gang’s encouragement and support, though occasionally, she’d slip back into old habits.
Ollie and Roxie talk a lot about how much of a bounty Lucile has collected, and when you ask her, she’ll say over $5,000. But if you look at any poster with the name ‘Lucile Mason’ on it, you’ll see something more along the lines of $500 dollars than $5,000. Digging deeper into Lucile’s selection of aliases and disguises though, will uncover the fact that she does in fact have a bounty of over $5,000. The law just doesn’t know she's one person, rather than five. Andres De Santa, Isabella Ortega, Martin Douglas, and Victoria Lee are her other halves, the ones who have given her such a notable reputation. To confuse the law, Lucile becomes what she is not. Victoria Lee for example is a shorter blond woman with a high-pitched voice, who enjoys tea parties with rich boys, and has not a single scar in sight, how could she and Lucile be the same person? Between makeup, simply adjusting the pitch of her voice, using hoop skirts to hide the fact she’s just bending her knees (very uncomfortably so), and having a friend who just happens to be an excellent wig maker, Lucile knows how to make a good disguise.
At age 27, the gang was forced to split up, and while most of the surviving members are now trying to fit in with society, Lucile feels she's too far down the rabbit hole to turn back now.
Backstory:
(Short Ver.)
Born January 27th, 1844, in PurePoint, to his parents Catherine and Vernon O’Connor. Growing up in a wealthy family with 13 siblings, he didn’t get much attention. While his parents focused on the oldest and the youngest of the kids, Ollie was side-lined, mostly by his mother, and spent most of his time with his brothers Aiden and Avery, who were also pushed from their parent’s eyes. While the family seemed happy on the outside, the children of the household knew early on that their mother didn’t seem as “there” as they’d thought. She’d go into fits of rage, smash things throughout the house, and verbally and physically abuse her children and husband. After an event that took the life of his aunt, and almost his father, Ollie and his siblings were forced to live alone with their mother, though Ollie had finally decided enough was enough and ran away from home a few months later at the age of 10. He wandered the snowy forests of PurePoint alone for a few hours before he was stumbled upon by members of Red’s Gang, and taken in. He spent the next 21 years growing up in the gang, learning to read, write, and even speak different languages. Eventually, he took up cartography, wig-making, and tailoring, finding hobbies to keep himself busy and isolated. He didn’t go on many jobs while living in the gang, but he would plan and map out occasional heists and jobs, proving himself useful to those who thought of him as useless.
After the gang split up, he as well as Lucile and Roxie decided it best they continued their lives instead of trying to fit in.
She's kind of got something with this one girl. It's kinda complicated though.
Backstory:
(Short Ver.)
Born April 16, 1851, on Stone Valley Pastures, a farm, a bland, boring farm. That's how she would describe it at least. Young Roxie was rambunctious and had enough energy to put anyone else to shame, but she was also ambitious and longed for more than just a life on a farm, so at age 11 when her brother Leonard ran off and became an outlaw, she secretly followed him. Roxie was strangely revenge-hungry for a young girl, and when her brother hurt her parents, she wasn’t going to let him get away with it. She stole a horse and a shotgun from her home and trailed him all the way to Harmony’s Bank, where she caught him robbing a store and holding a young man and his friends at gunpoint. Roxie made quite the entrance, shooting her brother down the second she stepped into the store, without hesitation. Ollie turned out to be the name of the young man her brother had caught, and after a lie or two, Roxie was able to find out that the man and his friends were in a gang, and Roxie wanted in. She told them she had no parents, nor a home, and after an agreement with the gang leader, Roxie joined.
She was untrustworthy as all hell, but did good working for the gang. A little girl who could shoot a gun as well as she did made it far in the gang quickly, and with a little encouragement from the other women in the gang, Roxie slowly started finding a footing for herself and was growing to be more respectable. She always had a close attachment to Ollie though, no matter how reluctant he was to interact with her at first, but within time they both became close friends.
Name: Edward “Slicker” or “Eddy” Bennings
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual (He keeps this a secret from the others though.)
Rank: Member
Appearance: Slicker is just above the average height at his time, standing at about 172 cm or five feet six inches. His skin is a light color of maple syrup because of his grandfather being from Mexico, but the rest of his family was white as hell. Speaking of his skin, he’s skin and bones and his shoulders are wide compared to his thin hips. He looks like a cartoon character with his trophy-like body shape and how skinny he is. You’d think he’d be knocked down by a slight breeze. His ribs are visible when he breathes in and his wrists are paper thin. He is always covered in dirt and scraps along with the occasional bandages when he is being a dumbass. His lips are often busted and bruised, dry from lack of water, his hands chapped and rust colored from clay, and splinters on the back of his heels from his boots. He has plenty of scars as well, one of his ribs of a horse shoe, slashes made by knives on his arms, a missing chunk of flesh in his shoulder where a bullet barely missed hitting directly into him, and of course and most notable: a scar on the upper part of his lip that traces to the center of his left cheek.
Slickers face isn’t a forgettable one either. His hair is cut short and stays in a constant state of disarray and mess. It is a soft brown color with bits of dirt and clay clinging to it. His thin, dry lips are often a sly smirk that shows off his dimples and the gap between his two front teeth. His smile seems to shape his whole face. Just below that smile along his sharp jawline, a slight stubble is constantly at war with Slicker. Slicker constantly tries to shave it down, but it comes back basically every week and when he shaves it, his knife always leaves behind small wounds from him trying to shave. Despite all of this, the most appealing and eye catching thing on his face are, well, his eyes. They are wide eyes that always seem to twinkle. Those greenish grey eyes are what shape his whole mischievous face.
Slicker wears mostly the standard clothes at the time. Thick, leather pants with black boots and a black leather belt on top of that to keep it all together. The bet not only holds up his pants, but also holds his two 1875 Remington Revolvers that match, along with bullets and his knife with stylish engravings. He wears a long sleeve white shirt made of a thin, cotton-like material to prevent him from getting sunburned. Over that, he wears a brown vest and with his lucky card pack tucked away into his chest pocket. He wears a black cowboy hat as well and carries a cigarette between his lips and a cylinder bag of his water canteen, a pot and lid, and a rolled up sleeping mat and rough blanket.
Personality: Slicker has a flair for dramatics, always having a brainy comeback or a smartass attitude with him to go with that. He is sly, always with his mind in the gutter and never quite taking it out of said gutter. He always loves to joke around and be extravagant. Sometimes, he’ll take his jokes too far without realizing it. If someone calls him out on how much of a prick he is being, he’ll stop himself right away. He may be an outlaw, but if he is offending someone by his jokes, he’ll stop immediately. That is just about the exact opposite if someone offends him. If someone dares cross the line with him, he’ll be quick to call them out on it. If or when, the person refuses to take back what they said, he wouldn’t hesitate to scrap with them or stick up for himself in any way shape or form. For the most part though, it is hard to push his buttons. He is mostly pretty chill and laidback. Well, laidback is putting it lightly. Laziness is more like it. Unless there is something that is mandatory for him to do, he will avoid doing it. Slicker is a bit of a liar sometimes though. While he is loyal, he won’t hesitate to tell small fibs here and there even to close friends, especially if he would rather not tell the uncomfortable truth. He tries his best to avoid lying to those he is close with only because he feels poorly afterwards. Although, to complete strangers, he will lie about everything and anything. Slicker doesn’t really trust strangers so why trust them with the truth to begin with?
Strengths: Intelligence- Silcker has a lot of brains for someone without much of an education. He knows how to read and write which isn’t very common from where he is from. He reads books a lot on just anything that he can get his hands on. Plus, he is not only into reading books, but reading people. He can tell you what a person is like, inside and out, with only seeing them a few times. He is really crafty and smart like that. He’ll read just about anyone like a goddamn newspaper.
Lying- He is even a good liar on top of that. That’s where he got the nickname ‘Slicker’ actually because of all his smooth talking. He can lie about anything to just about anyone and make it seem like it was all the truth. He just has a silver tongue is what he calls it. The silver tongue is tempting, but cuts like a blade.
Gun-Slinger- Slicker’s aim, despite how poor the aim of a gun can be sometimes, is spot on. It is a wonder how good he is at using these deadly weapons until you realize that he learned to use a gun just about the same time as he learned to walk because of his family.
Cards- Slicker is a master at any and all card games. He always carries a pact of cards around with him so you’d expect as much. Whether he has the best of luck or just good hands, he always wins. Plus, if he ever does cheat, it never really counts as long as he is good enough to not get caught.
Weaknesses: Riding- Slicker is just about the worst rider in the whole damn country. No kidding. He has a hoof-shaped scar along his ribs that is horrendously stitched together so it is safe to say he is always a little nervous to hop on a horse and if he can avoid it, he will. Any horse but his own that is. He still isn’t great at riding Snapple, but he definitely feels a bit more comfortable riding her.
Brute Strength- He might be smart and have good aim, but his arms are like twigs and he has the strength of a feeble prairie dog as his brothers used to put it. He also doesn’t take too kindly to people calling out his weakness as he is prone to trying to then fight them. This always ends poorly.
Smoking- Because of all of his previous smoking history, Slicker has terrible lungs and terrible stamina. He’ll sometimes also have coughing fits when he has over worked himself too much.
Guys- Slicker is gay. He doesn’t tell anyone this and he keeps it a closely guarded secret. Despite everything, deep down, he is just a hopeless romantic. Every time he does develop a crush, he falls for that person hard and would honestly do anything for them. Even though he is good at lying, if a charming guy comes his way, he falls for the trap almost instantly.
Other: Snapple is a palomino pony who is rather quick and small. god forbid anything happen to Snapple because he will snap. That and don't talk about his family because that will absolutely enrage him. Or how weak he is.
Name: Vera De León
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Rank: Member
Appearance: With a short, four foot eight stature, no one expects a lot from her. That is, until you see how absolutely shredded she is. She is just pure muscle. Her skin is a rusty clay color and the color alone makes her muscles somehow seem so much bigger. She has an apple body shape with such wide shoulders and hips with strong, tree-stump-like legs that support her. She has a plumpy, waddle-like walk to her because of this, but if anyone makes fun of her, she is sure to beat them up. She has burn scars along the left side of her body up to the middle of her neck down to her ankles. She generally covers the burn scars although not because she wants to hide them. These scars sometimes become itchy or hurt to her so she tries to keep them bandaged so she doesn’t scratch at them.
Vera has a round, child-like face, but she is anything but childish the closer you look. Her brown eyes are always narrowed and her lips are pressed tightly into a frown. Her once long hair has been cut short to what looks more like a boy’s style of hair cut despite how sloppy it was done. An orange bandanna wraps around her head and covers her hair like a headband or a trashy sun hat that fancy English women wear.
She mostly wears black boots with long white socks, shorts (as strange as it is for a girl of her time to wear), and a brown belt. A thin white shirt that is covered in dirt and grime is what covers her upper body and she wears a pale brown poncho over that to protect her shoulders from the sun. The poncho even comes with a hood in case there is a sandstorm. Speaking of a sandstorm, as well as the bandanna on her head that functions as a mask when she pulls it over her mouth, she dawns a pair of handmade goggles that protect her from the sand. Under the poncho and over her shirt, she keeps a pale coyote skin satchel loosely around her shoulder with water, her favorite knife, and more.
Personality: Vera speaks in mostly broken English and Spanish so sometimes it is hard to understand exactly what she is saying, but she is very expressive in how she communicates, using gestures, intense visual features, and being very vocal. She is as stubborn as a mule in mud and as gruff and mean as one too sometimes. Even though she has a rude exterior, she is sweet and caring deep down. It doesn’t take much for her exterior to shatter like a thin eggshell. She’ll still be rough though no matter what. She shows her care for people through violence and tough love. She is pessimistic and realistic on her views in life and if you ask her anything she’ll give you the blunt truth, no matter how uncomfortable she is with it or how uncomfortable she’ll make you feel. That’s both a pro and con with her. Vera has nothing to hide, but she is so open that any opinion of someone is just out there in the open. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her either since she would rather be training and fighting rather than worry about social issues and dumb human feelings. She couldn’t care much for dating or love stuff either. She’s had people flirt with her, but those people generally end up in a doctor’s office or feeling incredibly uncomfortable as she harasses them in Spanish for daring to try and tempt her with dating someone who would probably never truly care about her. Trust is a big thing with her and she always thinks that when people try to date her, they are going to manipulate her. That’s why her friends are always closer than her lovers.
Strengths: Strength- Her strength is unmatched in the Wild West and any who oppose it can meet her fists face to face. Vera is not afraid to prove how strong she is and is strong in more ways than one. Her core, arm, and leg strength all being incredibly equal and incredibly powerful.
Resourceful- Like her goggles, she is able to take things from her surroundings and make due with what she is given. In fact, most of her clothes and equipment are what she has made.
Loyal- Vera is fiercely loyal. No matter what, she would never betray someone who she genuinely trusts. While it is hard to gain her trust to begin with, she wouldn’t hesitate to die for anyone who she cares for. Not a single hesitation.
Weaknesses: Communication- Vera speaks very broken English so it is often difficult to understand what she is saying. Because of this, miscommunications occur regularly and make performing tasks a bit harder to carry out.
Range- While she can throw far and throw well, aiming just isn’t one of Vera’s strong suits. She struggles with aiming normally with throwing and that’s not to mention with a gun or with a bow.
Speed- Vera may be strong, but she is slow. It is hard for her to keep up with her opponents, so she has to rely on her strength alone which isn’t always good in a fight.
Rage- Vera has fits of rage and anger over very seemingly small things. She’ll give a hesitant apology later, but in the moment, she will be fully ready to beat anyone up if they cross her when she isn’t in a good mood.
Other: N/a
Okay! I still have the maps I made from the old roleplay. So would we want to move the location of the gang camp, maybe east since I've made more additions to that side.
(I renamed OpenShaw to Harmoney's Bank since Corpses was the person who made up that town. Might change some of the names of those other areas as well)
Also, if anyone would want to originate their characters from any of those towns or gangs you can! The only thing on that map thats off limits would be Philip's Gang, unless you want to say you're character has interacted with the gang before.
Okay! I'll probaly start with my two characters and build from there as more of mine are introduced through Ollie and Roxie.
Since theres not as many characters I don't know if your characters would be in a gang so where exactly would you guys like to start? My characters probaly won't know your characters straight at the beggining and meet somewhere a few replys in like in the origanal.
I might start with three of my four in the gang to begin with only because we don't have as many people in this rp. if I do have a fourth, it will probably only because the gang accidentally kidnapped her
