Orsion Lewis

Age - 23
Gender - Male
Orientation - Ace
Ability - Aquakinetics

---
APPEARANCE:
Orion's appearance is fair. He has a good height of six foot and two inches with broad shoulders and sun-kissed skin from days out in the sun. He trained as a warrior in his youth and has done his fair share of battles--as such, he bears more than a few scars over his arms and shoulders with one that crosses from above his eyebrow and the bridge of his nose. His eyes are a pleasant jade green color with his soft and gentle blonde hair tying the whole look together. More often than not, he wears simple clothing with a letterman's jacket over it. The jacket is a lighter blue, his high school colors but no letter on it. Orsion tends to wear more slack-like pants and saddleback shoes.

-----
PERSONALITY:

He is the type of guy to complain, to sass and to throw shade but to absolutely break down in the right moments.

This guy has a sort of playboy nature at first, with a dashing smile, a flirty grin and that dangerously mischevious look in his eyes. He's the type of guy to absolutely play around with no real thoughts in his head for a while until he actually has to think.

Or... so it appears.

Under the 'lol I'm kind of an idiot' mask, you'll find the inner brains are a massive mess of gears and wheels. His thoughts are a wild turn of keeping track of everything and anything. Everyone's emotions are kept track of, body language, the way they say things, the way they react. The things they say. Lewis keeps track of it and makes a mental note of it for later. He keeps track of them to either utilize later or ignore (or possibly blackmail, should the occasion arise).

Orsion remembers quite a few things--most of them random--but some of them are important. He notices who likes the center stage of attention, who doesn't and who doesn't care. Most of what he says and does is carefully crafted into the image he wants to portray.

Each image is crafted to get what he wants. That is the ultimate goal is to get what he wants. He will use whatever it takes to get to that goal and still look like the "good guy" in the end.

----
OTHER:

He's looking to major in business, just to get that out of the way and have something under his belt.

Deverick ("Dev") Meridan

Age - 22

~

Deverick has brown hair, brown eyes and an angular jaw. He stands at 5'10", and generally holds himself up straight as much as he can. Dev is also built on more of the skinnier side of things. He may really be considered underweight compared to everyone else, but this isn't exactly apparent when you come to meet him. Not nerdy looking, but not the kind of person you'd see walking down the corridor bare-chested for the heck of it. Somewhat unremarkable, even though he can do things.

~

Deverick is... a bit of an interesting character, if one was being honest. Mildly possessive of some things that are his, and the kind of person to just stick to the sidelines. Stay out of trouble, out of sight. Usually, he attempts to be social, but, well, he's an introvert. He tries to be, but sometimes it just doesn't work.
He's also that type of guy to be in the middle. Academically? Yeah, he can do well. But he's unremarkable - at least, you'd think.

If you would observe Dev properly, you'd notice some interesting things. The friends that he does have and are in his inner circle can tell he really can commit to tasks - then do them like heck. When choosing to, he will actually do signifcant potions of work, even in "teamwork". The only problem about thatt is right there - when he chooses to. Usually he won't, because what's the point in that?

Deverick also seems to have quite a lot of energy - not in the way that he can run all day, but more of the fact that when he chooses to (and he doesn't always), he can annoy others all day. It's honestly up to him, really, whether that annoyance is in a good, playful way or it's just a petty little way in a feud.

On those occasions, it's where he doesn't entirely act like the Deverick that's content being in the middle of the class and doing everything just scoring the upper quartile. He can do better than that (or worse, depending against who) - he just doesn't want to come out of his introvert shell and interact with new people.

~

Strengths:
- Processing and thinking. Deverick is able to think, and process, new scenarios slightly quicker than others, giving him a small edge when it comes to it.
- Reading others. All the time on the fringe, he's learnt from observing people when's a better time to approach them - usually. He can be wrong.
- Hard worker (when he wants to be). With what he's got, provided he actually wants to do it, Deverick can put his mind to something and actually really try to do it.

Weaknesses:
- Obsessiveness. His trait of working as stated earlier can sometimes lead to obsessiveness, as well as the fact that his possessiveness can get in the way.
- Somewhat judgemental. Oh, Deverick will judge you like hell on everything you do.
- Introverted, slightly antisocial. While Deverick does know and can read people, that doesn't mean he wants to. Unless there's a purpouse behind it.
- Peanuts. He has a peanut allergy.

~

College and university was not the pathway that Orsion thought he was going to be going when he had been young--younger. He had imagined himself in the midst of the "family" business. Sure, yeah. But he had missed the concept that he needed to actually get a degree for it. Apparently, it was for accreditation or whatever garbage. Either way, he had shown a knack for people-ing. Which meant that he had a knack for business and the face--the front--of the entire operation.

He had quite a few knacks of planning and thinking, always figuring out what he wanted to do and how to achieve it. That was why he was there.

Well, maybe not in that particular class. History.

History was important. It gave clues as to what people would think about, what they would assume and--most importantly--how to avoid past mistakes of those who had failed before. Orsion was not about to be the one who sunk the family business because he didn't know what he was doing. That was definitely not what he was going to be known for.

He leaned back in the seat, one leg crossed over the other as he picked up on all the idle gossip from the students around him. His loose light-grey shirt tucked under his light blue letterman's jacket.

Jessica talking with a hot barista? Oh, definitely gotta keep tabs on her. If she got hitched, then it would start a chain reaction. Chain reaction of jealous girls, guys attempting to one-up each other and the whole 'universal i-do' string. But--but oh, Jessica took the taxi to get out that way and heard about a father having an affair?? With a taxi driver? That was... oh boy.

Orsion's eyebrow rose just slightly. That was... scandalous. He made a mental note of taxi driver and father mostly to ice them out of any business dealings he would have later. He didn't need cheap dirt walking in on his business. Well, they could walk in. But he wouldn't have them becoming a big part of the business. Clean hands, clean streak, clean records.

If you spotted Dev sitting in the middle of the classroom, off to the side a bit, well done! Because he was definitely not looking forward to this task that they had been informed the previous lesson to do.
A pair-based activity. Which pretty much meant either he'd do nothing or he'd do most of it. But it meant he had to "share the work with the team".

Ick.

Compounding this fact with the blatant reality that, really, in this class he didn't have many people he was familiar with. Suprise - most of his friends didn't take History, and for a good reason too. It's not like they cared that much about urban legends.

Yet here he was. Sitting quite quietly on the side of the classroom, somewhere in the middle, unremarkable in many aspects. Idly looking at a page in the textbook, not really reading any of the words on the page but pretending to. He didn't want to accidentally start a convesation with anyone near him and awkwardly have to actually say stuff to someone he barely knew.

How anyone else did that, he wasn't too sure. But here, he was comfortable - if not looking slightly awkward - leaning against the wall, looking at the book while the usual pre-class chatter swept the classroom. He wasn't interested in talking with anyone he barely knew. Granted, they always said thing about "finding new friendships" and "taking new opportunities", but then... nope. Dev wasn't the kind of guy to really do that.

All he had to do was to wait until the teacher came in. Didn't he say that he would randomly assign the pairings for this project [that they had been told they were doing last lesson] this lesson? Nonetheless, at least he didn't "give them freedom to choose their own partners". That would have just been an awkward mess on Deverick's part, and he'd end up doing most of the work anyway.

Right on cue, Dr Smith walked in the door, and the chatter faded away as he made his way to the front. Deverick quietly shut his textbook and shifted it slightly out of the way - no need for him to be "reading" it anymore.

Orsion's green eyes lifted from students to the professor as he walked in through the door and down the steps of the amphitheater like forum that was called a classroom. It was far more like a lecture hall than classroom and a part of him was grateful that the class only happened once a week considering how boring it inevitably was.

Now, the material of the project was up to the pairs. They could choose a piece of local or world history, do research on it, and provide a presentation--or a "documentary" as he called it--on the event or material they chose. It was up to them. The pairings would not be up to them however. That was only slightly irritating but whatever. It was fine.

Orsion leaned back in the chair and tilted his head back and forth as the professor stood at the front of the classroom. He explained that most of what he would be 'teaching' was basic history and the lectures would be on how to present history in an unbiased fashion. Everyone already knew the history it was more-so the presenting of history that people tripped up on.

He placed a paper at the front of the lecture hall. "Gather your stuff and find your partner and then sit together. This class will be about discussing what you will do for your project."

Orsion shook his head. Not that he packed much to begin with. Just a notebook, pencil and his backpack. That was quite literally it. It was college, what did he expect to do with it? He was going to go back to the family business--a farm-like situation and be the person who stood in the stand and sold produce. He didn't mind it but he failed to see why he had to have a degree.

He slung his backpack up on his shoulder and walked toward the front of the classroom with the rest of the students--some simply just walked out of the classroom, not even bothering to stick around. Kudos to those partners.

His eyes flicked over the paper, spotting his name first and then his partner's. A Deverick Meridan. And he thought his name was bad. That was... something else entirely.

He turned slightly to look through the crowd of students to see if he could spot anyone that looked like a 'Deverick' or to see if anyone would be left over after they found their partners. His eyes landed on a shorter young man with brown hair who looked more or less uncomfortable. He was probably a edge-of-the-group kind of person and Orsion shrugged loosely. "Hey," he shoved through the crowd. "Are you Deverick?" He prompted, lifting his hand up to hold onto the backpack strap.

He was definitely Deverick as much as he felt as if his uncomfortableness scale was rocketing out of the roof with this guy coming up to him and asking his name. Yeah, he might have been freaking out a bit - but it'd be fine... right?

Like, it wasn't like he had to do much. All he had to do really was keep his headd down, get the work done, and he'd be gone. So, he nodded silently before realizing he should say something instead of just being absolutely silent. "Just Dev works," he said to the guy who was now casually holding his bag, like this was absolutley nothing.

To be fair, it really wasn't much of a big deal. But Dev didn't like it anyway. This was already something he didn't like - having to pair up with one of those people who seemed to sit near the back of the class, have only fifty percent of their ear out for what they were meant to be doing and treating it like an abysmal waste of time (which, Dev might have honestly agreed with if he was being honest with himself).

But Dev was just freaking out a bit. Why? He honestly didn't know, he just didn't like this situation at all. Maybe it was just his introvert shell that didn't like it. Ack. He didn't know.

Orsion watched the other student for a long moment. There wasn't much happening... just staring back at him before he nodded without saying a single word. Just Dev works, was the comment he got in return. That was definitely something at least.

Orsion shrugged one shoulder and stuck his hand out for the other student to shake. His lips pulled into a lopsided smile, tipping his head lightly. "Orsion," he responded briefly. He really didn't have a nickname or anything of the sort. "I believe we're project partners. Now, listen, it's fine. I get it... group projects suck. So, I vote, that we both work on it as soon as possible, get it done with and then when it comes around... we present it and forget about it," he bobbed his head.

"Get it over with as soon as we possibly can and then, everything is fine, we don't have to worry about it and whatever," he waved one hand as he walked toward a pair of open desks near the middle of the lecture hall and somewhat toward the side.

"You have any favorite history places around here?" Orsion prompted and glanced back with his green eyes scanning over this Dev fellow.

Dev took the hand that Orsion offered, shaking it briefly before dropping it and nodding at his statement. "Might as well, that works with me." Although unintentionally, at least it eased his somewhat-panic that he just kind of... had.

Group projects sucked. True. So he'd just devote his resourrces to finishing it as fast as possible, then they could get rid of it as fast as possible and it could all be over. Which was exactly what Orsion was saying! What a great idea, indeed.

Turning his attention to the task at hand, once Orsion mentioned it, he shrugged yet again. Whatever it was, he'd try his best to get it done as fast as possible. Maybe they could pick something simple. Maybe, such as...

"Hmm... you think the old fort next to the lake up north would work?" It'd be quick, that's for sure - they just had to do a bit of research, and a fort would likely be in said research books. Essentially, it was quick-ish, easy enough, and wouldn't take them too long. Doubtless he'd spend a couple of hours at the library and find what he wanted - surely, after all. It was a ruined fort next to a lake, close enough that it wuoldn't take long to physically go to. Unless Orsion had a beter idea on a place that was easier and would let them get it done in the shortest amount of time possible, that was.

Orsion sat down in one of the desks, dropping his bag beside the seat as he leaned back into it. He thought for a few moments, tipping his head back and forth as he thought.

The fort had been long since abandoned and some even rumored that it was haunted or whatever garbage. Orsion wasn't exactly the most superstitious or whatever. But it was somewhat nearby, it had history, they could probably find some lost object from the fort to go along with their presentation--bah, it'd be easier than baking a pie.

Baking was a foreign concept still.

"I think that would work quite well," Orsion agreed, giving him an approving nod. "Quick, close and I'm absolutely certain that there's some stuff we can pick up and use for a physical teaching aide--that's extra credit if we have objects."

He flicked his hair from his face and bobbed his head lightly. "What's your address--or do you just want to meet at the library on campus and we can just work on it there?"

Orsion had a car. That was slightly rare for a college student to have. But he had one. A smooth cherry red Pontiac Fiero--with pop up headlights. The V6 engine--of course was far more reliable than anything else.

But he could drive them up to the fort in no time.

Which he relayed verbally to his new project partner. "I've got a car, so it's no problem getting up there," Orsion explained briefly. "But yeah, I think the old Fort will work perfectly."
