Where I begin Explaining the commonly used "S", this is actually a real thing, it's called a "Mental Line" and no, I'm not talking about mental illness, no, a mental line is a line our minds subconsciously see! The letter "S" is a smooth letter that seems appealing when given to the mind, it gives the art a sense of flow! _______________________________________________________________________________ Wonderfull question by: Corgerus covering Shading! Completely unshaded on both! And than, ta-da Shading! I get asked quite frequently how I shade my art, the answer is simple, most of the time I don't! I use a brush that provides both texture and blending, on Kleki I perfected my technique using the Sketch Tool! Sometimes though, I'll have to add shading though! D: So I add just a hint of it, in the curved areas, oh there it is again! The mental line is brought into use once again. I lower the shading to 13 Opacity! (Tip: Keep your shading on a separate layer!) _________________________________________ Great question from Spirit Guardian covering ears! You need to add shapes to the ears, it can't be one shape, so adding that slight curve helps a bunch! The ear tuffs should NEVER be straight out, it looks pointy and trashy(No offense to those who do this). ____________________________________________ Awesome question by Spirit Guardian covering eyes! Wolf eyes kind of have a diamond shape to them, and they are quite easy once you start to get used to them! When I first started making eyes ughh it was the death of me, but now I can draw one in less than 40 seconds! Edited at October 6, 2023 10:04 AM by BooJake

how do you do your shading? I always look at your art and the shading really makes it stand out to me and just gives the art a good vibe. It also might just be the coloring combined with the shading that gives it that feel. Edited at September 30, 2023 09:55 PM by Corgerus
