It’s well known that the life of a wolf is turbulent at best, their stories wrought with violence, loss, and aggression, with small moments of joy and bliss mixed in. For the Dark Mountain Pack, their lives are no different, their past infused with darkness and mystery. The origins of their current alphas are always spoken in a hushed whisper, unsure of who might be listening and might take issue with their words. Still, despite the dark cloud looming in their past, the pack has lived a rather easy existence, few daring to trespass or challenge their authority but this is due to the darkness that taints their reputation.
Now, it seems that darkness has come back around to bite them, and bite them viciously in the form of the Vendetta Pack. A smaller, but strong, pack led by a Mysterious Alpha whose whispered rumors are worse than anything imagined about the Dark Mountain Pack. The pack's reputation is clear: they annihilate anything and anyone in their way on their path to establish a territory. Unfortunately for the Dark Mountain Pack, it seems the Vendetta Pack has its sights set on their territory.
Rather than try to take over unclaimed land and possibly bully the surrounding packs to make it larger, the Vendetta Pack has something else in mind. They have no intention of taking over the pack and leading it. No. They’ve made that clear. They will be taking no prisoners, not accepting any submission. The Dark Mountain Pack can either concede and leave, or they can die.
As new information comes to light, the feud between two brothers that was long thought dead, both Packs gear up for war. The Dark Mountain Pack will have to decide, will they try to remain honorable, or embrace the darkness that lurks within to fight this new, dangerous foe. The only question that remains is who will come out on top?

About the Dark Mountain Pack
The History of the Dark Mountain Pack is soaked in blood, and riddled with violence, aggression, and death. It isn’t even ancient history, but things that occurred within the last five or so years, though history before that wasn’t any better. Most of the controversy surrounds the current Alphas, a pair of mates who did not originally belong to one another, nor did their rank. Everyone who is old enough knows that it was the brother who was originally supposed to be the Alpha after their father grew ill. However, he proved to be a cruel and aggressive male, always choosing violence over peace, even within his own pack.
Morale in the pack sunk to a newfound low, tempers flared, and the whole pack became a tinderbox just waiting for a match. Many, though, hoped that when the Alpha’s mate had pups that it might settle their Alpha, and soothe his temper and bloodlust. Unfortunately, it seemed the opposite. His anger intensified, and so did everything else, with wolves being injured and even killed for the smallest of things.
However, in the hidden shadows of the territory, covert meetings were occurring. First it was just the Alpha Female seeking comfort in the only wolf who she felt could handle the danger of it: his Brother, the Beta. Then these whispers turned into promises, and wolves were gathered to form a coup. Wolves angered by how the pack had devolved began to pledge their allegiance to the second brother, who, while not innocent by any means, seemed like the lesser of two evils. However, the shift in loyalty did not go unnoticed by the Alpha and his followers, who began to gear up for war and even tried to sniff out the leaders of the resistance building within the pack. Not once did the Alpha think it was his own Mate and Brother who were conspiring against him.
Eventually it all unfolded when the Alpha’s pups succumbed to illness, causing the male to go off in a rage. His anger and grief, while understandable, was the final straw in the pack as he attacked an innocent wolf who happened to just get in his way. The Dark Mountain exploded, Resistance Members and Loyalists colliding, drawing blood on each other as if it were paint on a canvas. Knowing this was the moment, the Beta challenged his Alpha. Brother against Brother.
The fighting lasted for hours, until finally it was just the two brothers at the end, the rest of the pack coming to an unspoken agreement that the victor would be decided by which of their Leaders won. No one could have seen the ending coming though.
While fighting the two reached the waterfalls that the territory is known for, and was fighting dangerously close to the edge. It all looked over when the Alpha lost his footing and nearly slipped off the edge of the cliff, only held in place by his grip on his brother’s nape. He was determined to take him with him if he was going over the edge. Someone who didn’t have the same idea? The Alpha Female. From the shadows she ran up, and bit into the male throat, causing him to yelp in both shock and confusion before she let go and let him fall down the cliff.
Neither of them bothered to go down and check the body, to ensure he was dead, for it didn’t matter. He was dead to them.
From there the pack flourished, love and peace washing away the blood and violence. The loyalists who couldn’t abide by the new leadership were allowed to take their leave, which allowed the pack to build a strong and loyal core. The pack quietly agreed never to speak of what happened again, wanting to forget the near history that had scarred so many of them. Ever since, the Dark Mountain Pack has tried to live a peaceful and honorable life, only fighting opponents when it was necessary.

*All Heirs are the offspring of the Alpha Pair, and are under 4 Years old.
The Pack Rules 1. No one is to leave the Main Dens alone or without permission. You must always leave in minimum groups of Three. 2. The Dens with Pups are Protected at All Costs. And, for their Safety, their location is to remain secret. It’s recommended to move them regularly. 3. Listen to your Leads. To go against them is a form of treason, especially right now. 4. No Contact with the Vendetta Pack or any Presumed Lone Wolves is allowed. If you are found colluding with the enemy you will be killed. 5. Any successful kills should be brought back to the Main Dens, it's too dangerous to allow pups and injured pack mates to venture to them.
Most of these rules were made after the presence of the Vendetta Pack.

About the Vendetta Pack
While most of the Dark Mountain Pack walked away that day, one of them crawled. Broken and battered, a loyalist found the original Alpha crumpled into the ground, seemingly hanging on out of spite. Determined to help the Alpha they were loyal to, the wolf managed to get them out of the territory and to safety where they were able to nurse him back to health.
From there the two swore vengeance on the Dark Mountain Pack, vowing to come back and wreak havoc on them for the betrayal they had dealt. However, they couldn’t do it alone, so the two went and sought out the strongest, dangerous, and most violent wolves they could find. Some of these wolves were familiar, loyalists who had left the pack, but majority of them were new, wolves who fed and lived on blood and carnage.
Together they built a strong and formidable pack, and honed their skills and cohesion by attacking everything they came across. Prey and Predator alike fell to the pack, viewing it as “training” for what was to come. It didn’t take long for packs to hear news of this new pack that was tearing through anything that stood against it. However, by the time the news reached the Dark Mountain Pack it was too late, the Vendetta pack was already at their door and snarling to be let in.
On arrival, the Vendetta Pack sent a very clear message to the Dark Mountain Pack when they came across one of the patrols and killed all but one, allowing him to return to the pack with mortal wounds just so he could give their message. This would be War. The pack could leave with its tail tucked, or they could fight, and die. Of course, not everything is as it seems, and the Vendetta Pack has no intention of letting the pack live, especially its Alphas and their young.

Name:Tavarious; Often called Tavar Age:6 Years Gender:Male Pack: Vendetta Pack Rank: Subordinate Desired Rank: Content Appearance:
Tavarious is a slightly above average specimen, not the largest wolf to ever be seen, but not one to be written off either. He stands at a bit over 35 inches at the shoulder, and weighs around 150 lbs when well fed. His appearance is rather unassuming, despite his size, not one that comes off innately threatening or intimidating, instead, he comes across exactly the opposite as his personality is.
Tav has an athletic and lean build, a mix of balanced power. He isn't the strongest male, though he could hold his own if he ever fought, but not the fastest either. His speed and agility is better than this bigger, stronger wolves, but he won't win the races against the smaller swifter canines either. Overall, though, he's a good balance, and someone who does well in most situations, if it doesn't require him to do any significant brutality.
The male is considerably proud of his fur, having a thick and dense coat, though it is on the slightly coarse side. It allows him to stay warm in even the coldest of winters, and, when he sheds, it prevents him from overheating in the warmer temperatures too. He does his best to keep himself well groomed, but the slightly erratic male doesn't always do a good job. He fur is often a bit tufted, and holds debris in it without him really realizing. It was, after all, Selene who helped him keep up his appearance, and he doesn't realize the disarray that his fur has become in her unrealized absence.
His fur is primarily white and light grey in appearance, making up majority of the color of his coat. However, he does have some hints of cream on him as well. They're primarily right be his eyes, and a bit on his flanks and tail too. The only other markings the male has are in black upon his shoulders and back, and his tail.
He has dark amber eyes that are an unusual color. They aren't quite brown or gold, but also aren't red. Instead they lay somewhere in between, though they hedge towards the brown side. His vocals are on the deeper side too, baritone by nature, with a slight husky tone to them. He'd be an attractive male with a good voice if he wasn't a little crazy.
One thing many don't realize until they get closer, though, is that, unsurprisingly, Tavarious has a plethora of scars littering his figure. They're all masked by his coat and mostly hidden from sight, since none are signficant, but they are there. They're all trophies to him, and he wears them proudly without shame.
Personality: Tavarious is not a kind soul, instead he could be compared to a walking nightmare. Brutality and violence seem to be his instruments in the composition of his life. There isn't much in the world that Tavarious cares about other than violence, and you won't find him engaging in any normal activities unless instructed to by the Viscountess. He's content to give himself distance from the commoners of the pack, prefering his own company, and those in his head, to regular wolves.
The brute of a male is not social, not friendly, and the farthest thing from compassionate. He's a ruthless killing tool that is happy to be used by anyone who needs his skill set. He cares little for any reward for his violence, as the act of violence itself is the rewards. Other than this one thing, there is very little that Tavarious actually enjoys. He won't humor small talk, and most social interaction is grating on his already fractured psyche. Females, while pretty, he finds to be draining with their whining and drama. So he takes no part in courting or anything fo the sort. To be honest, if anyone ever did catch his attention, that would be where it would end on his side. They would have to court him, and make a hell of a case to get his interest to turn into anything other than just that.
It's best to just give the male space to be honest. Tavarious is not an impatient wolf, but he doesn't need to be frustrated to simply rip someone's throat out. He is calm, unnervingly so. It doesn't make him any less prone to feats of bloodshed just because he is calm, don't take comfort in his presence just because, at the moment, his paws are clean. They won't stay that way.
To put it simply, Tavarious' personality is complicated because, truthfully, he stopped having an active personality a long time ago. He's a dry male, with little sense of humor. His avoidance of social interaction has left him anti-social, so when he does speak he does in a very direct, nonhumorous way. If he ever takes the time to say something that is insultive, it's always what he means. He's never joking, never being sarcastic, just blunt and forward. If he thinks you're about as bright as a half dead cow calf, then that's what he thinks of you, and he's not going to apologize for it. He doesn't pull punches, for anything. He isn't going to spare someone's feelings just because they mgiht be a delicate flower.
Now.. When Tavarious' mind is crazed, broken with anger and fueled by rage and pure bloodlust, he's an entirely different beast. Kind of. When he's been pushed to that extent, there is nothing, besides death, that will stop him until he's had his fill. He won't blink to slaughter entire families just because it pleases him. When he's like this, he desires nothing more than to bathe in the blood of his victims, and only when he's satiated will he stop. It would be best to avoid pushing the male to this extent, so if you ever find yourself pissing him off, it would be best to walk away. Quickly.
The personalities of the voices in Tavar's head are rather different from their host.
The first voice, the one who Tavarious stopped being scared of, and started to embrace, as he is advocate for significant brutality. Always whispering about death and malice. It desires nothing more than for bloodshed and pain. It encourages things that a young Tavar though he would never find himself doing, but has long since stopped trying to struggle with the voice. Instead he long ago welcomed to the violence of the First. He no longer fears this voice, and it's the one most likely whispering in his head, rarely going dormant.
The second voice is that of a female, a complete opposite of the first voice. She's reassuring and benevolent. Whenever the first comes, the second is too far behind. He's rather fond of this one, and regularly will engage in conversation with her if she's present. She helps make him feel secure and encourages him to help others and do good things. She, and Selene, are the onlys one, so far, who help him deal with the voice of the first.
The third is a male, a more neutral voice. He isn't very present nor vocal often, though he always seems to be lingering in the background. He has little to say, but when he does speak, Tavar has a tendency to listen to him, as he is far more rational about things than he could ever be.
Crush: None, Good Luck if You're Interested Mate: None Pups: None, he's not keen to pass on his own genes. Other: It's important to know that, in regards to the voices, they are not separate personalities. They do not ever take over and lead, but they're are, instead, a consistent presence inside his head. Sometimes they are silent, and sometimes they just won't shut up. They may have basic personalities, in how they respond to situations, and things, but they are not different personalities for Tavarious himself.
