Recently, a hoarding situation floated to the surface to animal rescuers. They managed to get every dog and puppy out of the overcrowded house though, this means the local shelter was overflowing with said canines but they still cared for them. Old and new dogs have to adapt to their new environment and wait to be adopted. Some are adopted right out of the gate which relieved the shelter a little but dogs still remained. Will they stay in the shelter for years or get adopted after a few days? |

Rules - no OP characters, every character has flaws - no gary sues, mary sues, weeping willows or anything like that - every user is limited to two dogs (and if you'd like, a shelter worker, though these are often NPCS) - Follow all of Eve's rules - Hate the character, not the player - As this is not a Lit, 100+ words per reply but I will accept 50+ if you have writer's block, just PM me to tell me. Put an animal fact in other in your form so I know you've read the rules - DO NOT attack someone's character without permission, always ask beforehand! Though, please avoid attacking each other unless it is really necessary. - Please please please credit your images if you use any, they must be F2U or stock images! - NO wolfdogs! - As this is a semi-realistic rp, no dogs can have bright colours or powers - Relationships and enemies are allowed and encouraged - Gentics and birth defects do take effect in this rp as some dogs/puppies may be inbred from the hoarding - if you want to change your character, you MUST pm me or Misfit Roses. if we say you can, you MUST rp that character being adopted and post a new form for your new character - RESERVES ONLY LASTS 72 HOURS Misfit Roses has the same power as me (deny/accept people, etc) so listen to them as well Information about the roles: Older dogs these dogs have been at the shelter before the hoarding situation was busted and thus have more info about the shelter Newer dogs Dogs and puppies from the hoarding situation, some have defects, dog/human reactivity/aggression, injuries and other stuff Puppies Under the umbrella of newer dogs, puppies range from newborn to 12 months with no experience with the outside world, other animals and possibly humans Shelter worker these people work in the shelter and care for the dogs. Though often NPCs, they have a small part in this rp, only being seen taking out dogs and/or putting dogs into kennels. NPCS these are dogs/people that anyone can play (unless specified) and they don't need a form, just pm me! these can't be overused, only for a conversation or to help your reply be longer. Name: Ikaris Gender: Male Age: 3 Breed: Australian Shepherd x German Shepherd Sexuality: Bisexual Role: New dog Appearance: 
(he has green eyes, credit to Blair for this, see his TH for his full ref) His pelt is unique, one side being the pelt of an Australian Shepherd while the other being a German Shepherd’s. The two are divided but they don’t merge together like a mess, it’s like a ruler divided the two sides. Green eyes are the second mystery as no side of his family has green eyes. He takes after the height of the German Shepherd, reaching to the peak of the male height; 26 inches to his shoulder. Ikaris is underweight for his age, to the point his ribs are slowly protruding through his fur. Long legs help him run and jump, whenever it’s needed and his shortish pelt aid him in the hot weather as it doesn’t trap the heat but this is the downfall of his coat in winter. Personality: He is untrusting at first, rather staying away from everyone else and hide in a corner. He takes a while to warm up to their dogs as he doesn’t like to socialise too much, often avoiding higher energy dogs. Though, Ikaris has a soft spot for pups to which he protects them and warms up to them quicker (the quiet ones more then the energetic ones). Strengths: - good smell & eyesight

Defect/Injury/reactivity: Ikaris is fully deaf, thus heightening his distaste of socialising with others. He has a few injuries, the most prominent being a healed bite scar on his left front leg. His is only slightly dog reactive/aggressive as he slowly learned the dogs he lived with were better then the human that left them in that house, giving him more human aggression then anything else.
