Shivers ... the most common thing felt in the bones of those who encountered a shifter of the Ravik pack. These beings were part wolf and part human, commonly know in others parts of the world as 'werewolves'. Members of this particular pack don't like this term; a term used to identify beastly beings who lost all sense and control when they shifted. The Ravik pack wolves were different. They could shift at will and retained their sanity and self-control while in their other form, though because they were able to do this and evade the laws of transformation, their shifts were painful. The more experience one got with shifting into their wolf form, the less painful it became, though it never ebbed away completely. The Ravik pack's ferocity and intelligence unimaginable, and they had close to no predators to fear. They were the top of the food chain. Until that wasn't the case any longer.

-

After centuries of the pack living a peaceful life in their secluded territory deep in mountain territory, they weren't the largest predator any more. Something has invaded their land and has begun killing off not only the deer and elk they hunt, but pack members who stray too far alone or wander the land they had assumed safe at night. How do you go about tracking a predator who seems to leave close to no prints and no scent? The answer is, you don't. It finds you.

Ikaris V. Ravik
alpha male 25 years old mentions; open

Last night had been different. Instead of going out into town to drink his night away and possibly get into a bar fight, Ikaris stayed home. He woke up in the middle night as a result of a nightmare and ever since then, he's been awake. Now, as the warm, golden light of the sun poured through the windows of his room, he sat criss-crossed with a canvas on his lap. A variety of reds were swirled together, to most it looked like nothing more. However, the man had hidden some small details in it. One could argue they could see the faint shape of a heart, the anatomical one. Others could argue that maybe he drew a barely formed fetus. There were the select few that would say it looked like a bean. Ikaris wouldn't dare tell anyone of them which one it was. He'd let them guess, and if they guessed right? He wouldn't show it... well, he would try to not show it. It would be hard to deny the truth, while his body may be able to lie, his eyes never could. That was something he wished he could change, but sometimes he liked it. Ikaris found that he could easily convey his emotions without having to say a single word, it helps when he's trying to comfort someone.

Sighing, the alpha male looked out towards the windows, his green gaze taking in the warmth of the sun, ignoring the small stinging sensation it brought him. A few seconds later he looked away. Glancing back to the canvas, Ikaris tilted his head like a puppy, curiously wondering if he should add anything else- and if so, what? Biting his bottom lip, he let his hand brush over the painting, watching a corner smear as his thumb grazed across it. Then, he got an idea. Taking the paintbrush that was dipped in maroon paint, Ikaris gently brushed the paint onto his left hand, his tongue slightly peeking out of the corner of his mouth as he worked. Once he was satisfied with the amount of paint on his hand, he gently pressed a handprint next to the ... heart? fetus? bean? Whatever it was, he put his handprint next to it, making it fit in the space between his thumb and index finger. Deciding that he was finally done with it, at least for now, Ikaris got up from his bed, carefully carrying to painting to the easel he had tucked away in the corner of his room, facing it to the window near it so the sun could shine on it. Now he had to get ready.

The first thing Ikaris made himself do was wash off his red hand, making sure to get all of the paint that he could get before he sowly got out of his pajamas and hopped into the shower. It was cold, but he welcomed it. The freezing temperature snapped him out of whatever he was just in, making him painfully aware of everything around him now. It was almost as if he had blocked out his senses as he painted. In reality, he had zoned out; in a sense. Once he had that finished, he threw on black long-sleeved shirt and a pair of dark colored jeans that were starting to fade. Taking a quick look at his short hair, the werewolf huffed and rolled his sleeves up to his elbows before getting his black work boots on and walking out of his room.

As he walked towards the kitchen, Ikaris wondered who else was awake. It wasn't too terribly early, almost seven in the morning. Today he opted to start his morning off with some orange juice and a blueberry bagel. As he poured himself a glass of juice and popped his bagel into the toaster, Ikaris' lips were set in a thin line, with his shoulders tensed. He didn't feel on edge or tense, but his appearance says otherwise. As he took his glass of orange juice and sipped at it, the alpha waited to see if anyone else would join him. Perhaps they could figure out something for the pack to do. They had just done a peace mission last week, and nothing had been scheduled for this week, so far, so there wasn't really anything planned for them to do. The downtime could provide the pack much needed time to do some bonding, to strengthen their trust and connections with one another.

Briar Tinuviel

Beta Male + 24 + Mentions: Ikaris

A young black and white haired male lay restless on the downstairs couch. He was still wearing clothes from the previous . day. An oversized tee and some cuffed jeans with black platforms. He was basically dead to the world at the moment. Which was a rare occurrence with his insomnia - he usually would've been groggy and brooding about this hour. Somehow he managed to find himself passed out on the couch rather than his room. However, there was some noise and this caused the male to twitch in annoyance. He tried to shift his movements to make himself more comfortable with his current position. He almost ended up falling off the couch - however his senses caused him to catch himself. He slowly groaned as he woke up, his hair was a wild and coiled mess at the moment - not his usually perfect look. It was one hell of a night for him, but he wouldn't say it. He grabbed an abandoned hair tie on the coffe table and used it to unceremoniously tie his hair into a ponytail. His head was pounding with a vengeance and he hissed out in annoyance and grabbed his head when he got up. And even when getting up he felt like the world was spinning - oh gods, what was going on. When was the last time he ate? Slept? He desperately grabbed on to the arms of the couch and stumbled to his feet - nearly tripping again but he managed to find his footing.

You overworked yourself again Sol , a voice chided him in his mind and he scowled a bit. Pesky wolf was about to lecture him. Yes I am, snarked back Demetrius, his wolf , you haven't slept properly in about a week and it has been about four days since you last ate. You're a goddamn workaholic - hopefully your alpha will get you to get some goddamn rest and food in your system. You need to take care of yourself more you foolish creature.

Blah, blah, blah . . . Briar was tuning out his wolf for the moment and was more focused on getting himself together before anyone saw what a wreck he was at the moment. He looked at the time, it was currently 4:38 a.m. and he groaned and slowly but surely made his way to his room. He opened his door and closed it behind him. He headed to his personal restroom and took a nice warm shower and washed his hair. He soon then took a dry and began to blow it out . Afterwards he took the time to nearly braid his hair into a bun. And for his outfit for the day he decided on a black long sleeved turtleneck with a black and white pleated skirt with golden buttons - he put on black socks with his black platforms on. By the time he had got himself together it was close to seven and he fumbled out of his room and prayed to the gods that no one annoying bothered him.
He noted that the alpha was already up and eating . He hummed softly at the sight, and made his way to the refrigerator. Maybe he could grab a small morsel or something - or should he cook since these heathens decided not to. He was so enwrapped in his thoughts that he bumped into Ikaris, and he had to blink slowly in embarrassment . He was never this clumsy or uncoordinated.

"Sorry, didn't see you there." His voice was unusually bland and devoid of snark or sass he would usually have with Ikaris. It sounded almost monotone - a bit unsettling if you knew him.

He looked back at the fridge and he found some eggs and tortillas and shredded cheese and salsa. He was in the mood for cheese quesadillas and eggs with salsa. He also got some butter and a pan out to prepare the food.

He decided to make about 25 quesadillas just in case someone else wanted some. And so he began prepping the tortillas with cheese on one half and warming them up in the microwave for a few seconds and began making roasting the quesadillas until all them were made. And he took three and cut them in half for himself and then cracked eight eggs and whisked them in a metal bowl and seasoned them with pepper, salt, garlic salt with parsley and a bit of paprika. He then began cooking the eggs and soon they were finished and neatly put in a bowl. However he wasn't done, while he was cooking he felt the urge to make pancakes and so he did.

There ended up being 20 from scratch made pancakes made, and after that some cheesy grits and bacon and then ham. And then he busily began cleaning the kitchen on his mess. He was still a bit out of it and then he looked at the spread he had made and owlishly blinked as if he hadn't done that. And he turned away and massaged his temples in frustration, silently muttering to himself - about what? His asshole parents calling him earlier. But that didn't stop him from nearly crashing into Ikaris again. This time he caught himself and gave a shake of his head before going to the fridge and getting a bottle of orange juice out for himself. And he sighed drinking it.

Stress cooking, you were stress cooking Briar. Ikaris needs to know you're not doing well . He's your superior he needs to know his second hand man isn't doing his best. Demetrius chided , you need to rest.

No, I'm fine. I'm not weak . I've handled worse. Briar argues back telepathically with his wolf.

Ah, so you finally speak to me. No one is saying you're weak for letting someone know you're not feeling well. Hell, you probably are running a fever and still feeling dizzy, aren't you , Demetrius said concerned for his human, for someone so smart you're dumb. If you keep this up - you will pass out.

Fuck Off Deme, Briar said a bit annoyed at his wolf through their link. Anyone watching would tell he was taking to his wolf from the occasional glazed look he would have from doing so but they would also see the occasional eye roll from Briar. And he wordlessly shut the fridge and went to sit down and eat.

When he sat down he had merely took one bite of his food when his phone began violently buzzing in his pockets. He knew exactly who it was and elected to ignore it. He focused on getting some food in his system to eat rather than dealing with who was on the phone. He then grew annoyed when it wouldn't stop buzzing and aggressively got it out of his pocket, and then noticed the flash of missed calls and texts. And he set his ringer off and then placed his phone face down on the counter with an exhausted sigh - but not before stuffing some eggs in his mouth. His parents were going to drive him mad.

Tori O'Connor | Hunter | 24 | Female| Mentions: Open, those in the kitchen

Her hands hit against the heavy leather of the punching bag almost in beat to the music that was playing through the female's earbuds. Sweat dripped along her features as her eyes focused on her moving target and she let a harder hit land against the bag with a harder thump. Her bright hues seeing an enemy than the poor bag as a smile danced at the corners of her mouth as she swung her leg landing another blow.

Her red hair was pulled back and bounced with each movement of the female as she continued the work out. Her current playlist was taking her back to the early 2000s with the artist Nickelback currently taking over most of the playlist. Tori would listen to almost any type of music but for some reason she was feeling the higher energy of their songs to keep her focused.

Tori had gotten up fairly early and paused for a moment to catch her breath and wipe the sweat from her forehead as she pulled out her phone looking at the time.

A little past 7 am...hmm time seemed to fly by.

She closed her phone still listening to the music and moved over to the little bench along the wall of the area and picked up her water bottle taking a sip as she looked back at the punching bag debating if she should take a few more minutes hitting the poor thing but then changed her mind and lifted the bottom of her tank top and wiped the sweat from her face and upper chest before beginning to walk up the steps to the main floor.

Tori was wearing a grey tank top, a black sports bra that was visible on the sides as the holes for the arms had been made on the larger side. She was also wearing a pair of black biker shorts and tennis shoes. She had asked Carson to wrap her hands before she had begun working out and while holding the water bottle against her body with one arm, she was starting to take off the wrapping as she stepped into the kitchen.

The female was still in her own little world, lost to her music, until she caught the scent of a cooked bagel. Her eyes lifted as she looked about the kitchen, noticing their alpha Ikaris and beta Briar. She offered the male a small wave and a smile as she set her water bottle on the counter and continued to unwrap her hand.

Once her left hand was free, she pulled out one of her ear buds and slipped it into the pocket that held her phone. "Morning Ikaris and Briar." The normal chipper tone noticeably missing from the female's voice.

Her eyes watched the beta's movements as he moved about cooking. An eyebrow raised was she watched him before the two hues moved down to look at her own hand beginning to undo the wrapping on her right hand. She lifted her gaze after a few seconds and focused on the beta narrowing her eyes as she blinked.

She shook her head as if she was breaking a trance and rolled up both bits of wrapping in her hands. Tori had been watching Briar as he cooked and then even cleaned up the kitchen, though she didn't move to grab a bite to eat of the mountains of food yet. Her eyes moved from the food over to the male that was now sitting and both eyebrows flew up when he slammed his phone onto the table face down.

Raven Samara | 23 | F | Beta | M: Everyone in kitchen

Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm on her phone chirped its 5 o'clock alarm and a hand reached out of the covers to sleepily turn it off. Raven yawned, stretching in bed before getting up. Oh, she was not a morning person. Finally managing to open her eyes and stifling a yawn, she went into the bathroom to splash water on her face. Coming back, she quickly changed into her workout clothes before grabbing her phone and earbuds.

Oops, almost forgot. Raven skidded to a halt as she almost went out her bedroom door. Hurrying back over to her dresser, she pulled out her bracelet and slipped it on her wrist. She instinctively reached to touch her chest, feeling where her pendant laid. Raven frowned at herself, now was most definitely not the time. Maybe that peace meeting screwed with her brain. Rolling her eyes at herself, she hurried out of the cabin, quickly checking the time. Whew, she was still on schedule. It was a almost 5:30. She would have enough time for an hour run before breakfast.

Raven set out, keeping her pace steady yet fast. The music in her ear kept the beat upright and fast, just how she liked it. She wanted to shift into her wolf form but decided against it. Just because she had a wolf side to run didn't mean she couldn't keep her human form in shape. It was just about 6:30 when she got back to the cabin, sweat dripping down the front of her tank top. She took out her earbuds, turning off her music before shaking out her hair. Mmm, a nice cold shower would feel good right about now.

Raven slipped inside, making her way upstairs quickly. She noted that at least two of her packmates were awake before slipping into her bathroom for her shower. She relished the cold water on her skin before finishing up, drying her hair and putting it up in a ponytail. She didn't try to straighten it this morning, it never seemed to work. Throwing on some jeans and a t-shirt, she headed back downstairs in time to see Briar bump into Ikaris. She chuckled to herself before slipping around them.

"Good morning Ikaris. Briar, you look like you didn't get an ounce of sleep," Raven said, pulling out some milk. Pouring it into a small glass, she took a sip before spotting Tori. "Morning Tori, how was your workout?" She said, heading over to the table. The kitchen had gotten crowded fast but that was normal for the morning rush. She drank some more of her milk, her eyes watching Briar as he started to prepare breakfast. As he finished, she grabbed a plate and some pancakes and eggs.

As she ate, her eyes scanned the kitchen, taking in her packmates. Ikari seemed tense and alert but she couldn't tell if that was normal or not. Tori had not moved since she had come in. After a workout of any kind, Raven was a bit confused of why she wasn't heading for the mountain of food. Briar was a whole other story. She could see that he was either stressing himself over or talking, or as he plopped down, arguing with his wolf. She raised an eyebrow as he silenced his phone before finishing her milk and pancakes. Starting on her eggs, she tilted her chair back, surveying the party in the kitchen.

Ikaris V. Ravik
alpha male 25 years old mentions; Briar, Tori, Raven

As he waited for the bagel to pop out from the toaster, Ikaris listened as other pack members moved around some more. The first person to make their appearance was Briar. The alpha was going to say good morning until he caught a better look at the male's appearance. One brow raised as he took another drink of his orange juice. Thankfully Briar managed to only stumble into him after he had set his orange juice down. If he had managed to still be holding onto it, it would have likely spilled onto him. Before he could even ask if Briar was okay, Ikaris found himself studying Briar's features and replaying his words. If he had to guess, the beta was far from well rested. Concern took over his features for a moment before he settled back into his stoic look. He'd have to see if he could convince him to take a nap when he was finished with the cooking he had started. Truthfully he should do it now but he couldn't make the man stop everything... but maybe he could have helped if he wasn't lost in his own thoughts.

Another voice caught his attention, and immediately his green gaze landed on Tori. Like Briar, she too wasn't herself. Shit, was today one of those days where everyone had something going on? Was today going to be a shitty day? Or was it just a shitty morning type of day? The sound of the bagel popping up from the toaster made the alpha turn around. Quickly he grabbed his breakfast and held it as he grabbed a paper plate to put them on. Then, he made his way to the fridge, grabbing the cream cheese and as he moved to the bagel on the counter, he swiped a butter knife from a drawer and used it to graciously spread cream cheese onto the two halves of the bagel. Turning back to face everyone in the kitchen, Ikaris took a bite from one of the bagel halves and finally spoke, letting sarcasm drip from his words, "Looks like the majority of us are having a fun morning." The only person there who seemed to be themselves was Raven. Come to think of it, Ikaris couldn't remember seeing her anything but how she was now. Maybe it's just been a while, or maybe he was just completely fucking oblivious and forgot possibly seeing her in the type of mood everyone else seemed to be in at the moment.

In all reality, time seemed to move a lot faster than he thought it was moving. Briar was sitting down at the table now, thankfully eating some food. Ikaris tentatively watched the beta as he finished off his first bagel half, grabbing the other one and hesitating for a moment before biting into it so he could speak, "I mean you no offence, but Briar you look like shit. Did you sleep at all last night?" Taking a generous bite from his bagel, the apha grabbed his orange juice and made his way to the table, firmly sitting down, his green gaze still fixated on the younger male, "Before you try to say that you're fine, you obviously aren't." Impulsively, Ikaris reached out, hovering his hand in front of the beta's head before drawing his hand back, the heat that reached out to his hand wasn't the every day body heat. He didn't want to completely lay his hand on his forehead in the off chance it would upset him, "How do you feel? Honestly."

Part of Ikaris wanted to call out the beta male completely, he wanted to reach out and actually set his hand on his forehead to get a better read of his body temp, but had stopped himself from those impulses. He knew that Briar wasn't feeling well, hell- he was sure everyone else noticed too. The alpha just wanted to give him a chance to tell him if he wasn't well, and perhaps why he wasn't well so that they could help him do whatever he needed to do to feel better. If Ikaris had to carry the clumsy werewolf to his room, he'd do it, even if he was protested. No one needed him to bump into the wrong thing and get hurt.

"Since the pack doesn't have any official business scheduled this week... do any of you have any ideas for something we can all do together?" Although he finally broke off from talking to Briar, he made sure his gaze landed back on him as if to say, We're still talking, alright?

Tori O'Connor & Carson | Hunter & Medic | 24 & 25 | Female & Male | Mentions: Those in the kitchen.

Tori's gaze flew over to Ikaris after he brought up how Briar looked. Her face expressing that she felt the same way but had decided against speaking against the higher rank. Her gaze watched the alpha and the slight anger that had been in her system melted before she turned her attention to Raven.

"Morning Raven. It was good. I got out some needed anger but I think I lost one of my contacts between downstairs and here. So apologies everyone this morning if it looks like I may be giving you a dirty look. I just can't see out of my right eye." Her tone jovial as she moved to throw the used wraps away and then to stand by Ikaris eyeing the half of his bagel that was left and lifted a hand playfully reaching for it.

"That looks yummy Kari. I think I might steal it...though I like my fingers more so maybe that is a bad idea." She pulled her hand away to hold against herself protectively before looking back between Raven and Briar.

"What do you guys think about doing a stay at home spa day? I think I could talk Carson into letting us use some of the epsom salts that he has stored away." Tori pulled her phone out to turn off the music that was playing and her eyes widened noticing the not very appropriate title of the song that was playing and a light blush filled her cheeks as she quickly stopped it and put her phone back in her pocket.

Tori looked over at Briar again watching him for a moment before she spoke. "Like Ikaris and Raven have said, it looks like you didn't sleep last night. Is there anything I can help you with? Maybe it wouldn't hurt to talk to Carson or maybe even Cordelia?" A part of the female hoped that she wasn't overstepping but she was also worried about the somewhat blurry male that was sitting just within the range of her contactless eye.

Tori wasn't technically legally blind as long as she had at least one contact in, she could make it mostly safely around a crowded room. Her attention jumped over to the doorway when the sleepy huff of her brother caught her ears.

Carson had just stepped into the doorway with a huff and stretch. Being as his room was on the lower level to be closer to the medical room, the movements of the those that were awake had woken him up. He ran a hand lazily through his hair before moving over to the pile of food and made himself a plate raising an eyebrow listening to the other three.

The male was currently in a pair of plaid pajama pants and a t-shirt. He looked over to the beta male and after taking a bite of food spoke. "First off, we are not using any of the epsome salts for a spa day Tori...They are needed for medical reasons."

His tone turned more serious as he changed topics. "Briar, are you feeling alright? Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe take a rest day. It hasn't gone fully unnoticed that you haven't been eating." Even though Carson seemed to be a quiet person, even at his larger sized, it seemed the male would catch small deviances in routines for the other members. That was part of his job as the Medic though, he needed to be keenly aware of how each pack member was doing for their health.

Corin Wren - 20 - Male - Loner - Mentions: Open

Sunlight was shining in his eyes.

Even though they were closed, the light lit his vision a bright red. With a low noise of complaint in the back of his throat, he slid his head away from the direct light. For a moment, he let hmself take in everything around him without opening his eyes: the firm surface of the tree his body was curled up against, pressing into his back; the delicious warmth of the golden light soaking into his gold and gray fur; the idle sounds and scents of nature around him. It was so relaxing, he was tempted to let himself drift off into the oblivion that was sleep, that was calling him, trying to drag him back.

But...

Opening his eyes, the wolf blinked away the sleep from them, slowly lifting his head as he did so, as if the action of merely taking a look around cost a great deal of energy. As if he had weights dragging his cranium to the ground, it slowly sank back down. Unbidden, a yawn parted his jaws, raising his head upwards as he completed the action, eyes scrunching shut momentarily. This time, the head stayed up, ears swiveling as different sounds came to his hearing.

He did have to get up.

With a grunt, the male stood up, listing to the side slightly and stumbling a step to regain his balance. Giving himself a hard shake, so hard that he nearly unbalanced himself again, he inhaled sharply; bringing the nearby scents to his black nose, giving a quick glance around cautiously. The haze of sleep shaken suffciently enough to function, he turned and started off at a sharp trot towards the stream he had found last night, mouth dry from sleep. His gait was a stealthy one, not seeming to slink nor properly trot, but almost glide across the ground like a living shadow.

Coming to the stream, he slowed to a walk as he approached, body tense, senses alert for anything off. Every instinct told him that something would jump out at him, but his consciousness told him that he would sense something if there was anything around. All that he smelled was the wildlife around him, the fresh scent of the water in front of him; and nothing looked or sounded off, so he slowly lowered his head to drink. Pink tongue lapping at the moving water, right paw placed in the water, the wolf let himself relax a little.

Thirst quenched, he turned from the stream, standing there as if unsure where to go from there. And he was unsure. There was no particular place he wanted to go; all he had had in his mind at the start was to get away from his former pack. And now that he was away from them, hopefully far, far away from them, he had nowhere to go. He knew of another pack nearby, deeper into the mountains; and knew to stay away from them. Conversely there was a pull towards those unknown shifters, loneliness feeding it, and he hesitated. His experiences with packs had not been good, he knew that and he was not eager to join up with another one; but, it had been a while since he had been around others, humans or shifters. And if humans were social creatures, then so were wolf shifters.

It couldn't hurt to just skirt the edges of their territory, right?

Not unless he was caught and torn to shreds for being too near.

Shaking off the gruesome images that suddenly filled his mind's eye, he turned his head and gazed at the mountains, then started off again, with that gliding gait. Nose pointed towards the direction he wished to go, long legs carrying him in his unusual but graceful rhythm.

Briar Tinuviel

Beta Male + 24 + Mentions: Ikaris , Tori , Carson, Raven

TW : Unsupportive Parent

Briar was in his own zone. He was focused on getting food in his system. Maybe it was bad that he hadn't eaten is nearly four days and now had stressed cooked. This was a freaking disaster and he knew it couldn't get any worse. That's when he registered that he wasn't the only person in the room . Wait, had he said his greetings to the others? Surely he did, but why did it feel like he hadn't. He ignored the thought and continued eating his food. The cheese quesadillas were so delicious and crispy to him, maybe it was because he liked carbs and extra cheesy stuff. He soon realized his food was gone and he looked at his plate for a second before looking at the rest of the food cooked. He wanted to eat some more but . . . It was like something thing inside him was warring against him from eating more food that he cooked.

No, Briar - you shouldn't eat that much. Do you want to be fat? What if you scare off some girl with that appetite of yours? You don't want to lose those looks of yours now do you? He could hear the voice of his mother ringing in his ears now. Stupid woman, worming her way into his brain when all he wanted to do was forget her. He could feel his hand that was reaching for more food falter and he stared at his plate forlorned. It was such a stupid reason fo not eat, he couldn't believe that he still managed to even remember his mother's stupid rules and regulations . He was a Beta for heavens sakes - why was this woman still haunting him? It was really annoying and possibly not good for him. Scratch that, definitely not good for him.

He was broken out of his thoughts when Raven began speaking. She had greeted Ikaris and then mention how he looked like he hadn't slept. And he could feel himself grimace inwardly - was his exhaustion that plain to see? Possibly it was. So he gave a half hearted smile, " Mhm, yeah I hadn't been sleeping good." It was a truth he just didn't want to elaborate and it seemed she didn't expect him to which was a relief. She had asked Tori about her day so far and he wasn't interested in listening. He wanted more food, but he couldn't . . . Maybe just one more . . . He reached out and tentatively grabbed a pancake with his fork and ate some of it piece by piece. He was amused when Ikaris entered the conversation making a comment.

"I'll say." Briar responses with sincerity, and a bit of an annoyed scoff at the notion.

He gave a frown at Ikaris and he said, "Well if I'm gonna have a bad day I'm gonna look like a million bucks doing so." He said snarking back a bit too defensively, "-and honestly why the hell would you sa-" he was cut off by the sudden awareness of the closeness of Ikaris and it seemed the male was going to check his temperature but opted not to. He blinked a bit dazed and taken aback by the sentiment. But then the question of how he honestly felt struck him.

" Like committing a felony. " he plainly stated, partially glaring at his phone for a second. It wasn't saying much about why or anything like that but it was the honest truth.

He then started feeling a bit anxious as Tori began asking abou his sleep and sing Carson or Cordelia, " No, I'm fine. It's fine. I can handle this. I'll be alright - not something I can't handle or haven't done before." He said with that same defensive tone as he stood up to put away his plate. He felt like he was trapped with all these questions and eyes on him. And he then turned when Carson chimed in. He sighed exhausted.

"I'm fine Carson. Just some things I gotta deal with, it's no big deal. And you know me - I don't like resting for a moment when I could be doing something productive. "

He groaned when he heard the vibration. "Would she just lay off." He hissed under his breath, but which could definitely be heard by the others due to their hearing. And he grabbed his phone off the counter and scrolled through the many, many unanswered calls, texts and voicemails. He then groaned as his mother called him again, if anyone was watching they'd catch the I.D. Being " Is She Worthy Of Being My Mom? "

"Yes Odette?" He said in a sickeningly formal tone, Who the hell do you think you are to speak to me like that boy!? His mother practically shrieked across the line. "I shall call you as I please, Odette. I am a grown man." He said responding to his mother's words.

Is it true that you're one of those [redacted] ? If so, how dare you sully our family name with your filth. Don't think about even coming back home, being away from us has ruined you. He rolled his eyes at this. "What about it? Uh-huh, as if I was plan on coming back - the only reason I will come back is to get Maristela out of your vile clutches." I'm a saint compared to you, the Moon Goddess will not bless you - you ungodly abomination. He scoffed as he rolled his eyes before saying , "that's rich coming from you." What's that supposed to mean, boy? He gave an unusually dark chuckle - maybe it was because he was sleep deprived , tired of his mother and father's bullshit, and ready to fight anyone today. Oh yeah he was a bit unhinged.

"Maybe it's because you're a hypocritical bitch who needs to get knocked down a few pegs. How about we lower the tone of your voice and then think about the comments you just spoke to me - I'm pretty sure those were grounds for being stripped of your title and banishment for being discriminatory towards me." He said enunciating his words like he's been waiting to do this foreve and has finally got his chance.

"Also, the fact that you think I will allow my baby sister to live in a toxic household is deplorable. Hell no - she will be living with Jasmine - end of discussion, you have no say in this. I will not let her endure what you did to me , Jasmine and Alphonse. " Yoh little wench? How dare you- "Was I done talking, no. Nextly, you will lose this number , you have lost all rights to my life . I don't need you in my life nor do I want you or Richard in it - not unless you come groveling at my feet with a big apology. Don't ever try and contact me again, I'm cutting toxic people out of my life and you're one of them - so goodbye, oh and tell Richard he's next." And with that he hung up on her and swiftly blocked her number.

He looked at his phone as it started vibrating again. Looks like he created chaos as usual within the family chat . After all his father was now bombarding the chat . Briar scoffed as he went to go get some coffee. He hadn't realized he has spoke all those words in front of others but he was just so frustrated. He hoped the hadn't minded.

"Uh - family problems?"
