It's the year 2024, the tales of werewolves, vampires, witches, etc. old as time. Nothing more but fabled stories or used to create terrible shows with false information. Yes. The supernatural beings watch supernatural based shows - they're not pleased with it. Garlic weakens vampires? Oh, please. You just offended the vampires who enjoy food with garlic in it. Burning witches to kill them? Some of them are resistant to fire, because duh, magic. Using silver bullets to kill werewolves instantly? I mean, come on! One bullet isn’t going to kill a big ass manbeast! Anyways, humans are left unaware of the supernatural world that coexists with them, well, they’re a few humans that know they’re real but they’re called crazy. To the kids who say the boogeyman is under your bed…you’re probably right. So, yeah. Good luck sleeping at night now.

The supernatural have been kept hidden by both the government in the human world and their fantasy one for the sake of keeping the peace and ensuring humans don’t venture too deeply into the mythical side. It would be chaotic if so many humans learn magic; humans are chaotic beings already. The two governments forged a contract - allowing the supernaturals to coexist as long as they remain hidden and lay low within the human world. In short, don’t do anything stupid or else everyone is going down.

To ensure nothing goes wrong, an agency mixed of humans and supernaturals was established, an organization that’s supposed to represent peace between the two races. The Order of the Veil, who’s tasked with keeping any incidents caused by the supernatural underwraps and away from exposure of humans. Humans and supernaturals working together solving crimes, chasing down baddies, and looking good while doing it. The agency spares no expense when it comes to their work clothes and equipment. A job that should be simple, right? Well, no. Dealing with beings that are stronger than humans isn’t an easy job, but the payout is bloody worth it! That’s if the mission was successful, of course. Humans joining the agency are forbidden to discuss their job to anyone. Their loved ones, their friends, even their family pets. Their job requires secrecy - absolute discretion.

No spilling the beans. Easy peasey. Well…it you would've thought it was easy, until a traitor exposed everything due to drunken rambles. Thanks a lot Bill. The traitor has released sensitive information, and now, the human world has been informed of the other world.

Tensions between humans and supernaturals are high now that covers have been yanked off. The Order of the Veil now has to put out the fires before the two forces end up going to war. To those who work long hours, start chugging caffeine, but you’re in for even more work hours. Don’t blame the agency; blame Bill for exposing it.

All of Eve's Rules apply obviously
1: Be active. Please don't join up just to leave - I would like this RP to last for a while. I expect posts 1-2 a week, and if you need to take a break or be inactive please inform me beforehand via PM or Discussion. Inactivity will lead to your character being removed from the RP.
2: No OP or Mary Sue, Weeping Willow's, Gary's, or any characters of the like.
3: This is a Semi-Literate to Literate RP. I expect at least 150 + words per post. Put the missing number somewhere in your form, hidden. Also, I required a detailed and well-written appearance and description of your character. This includes proper grammar rules and any form not following these requirements will be declined.
4: No OOC problems. Hate the character but not the player - any instances of unbecoming behavior will not be tolerated, and mods will be contacted if needed.
5: Reservations last for 48 hours and you may only reserve two roles at a time. The reservation doesn't start until you actually post and begin working on the forms. You will be allowed to have 2 - 12 hour extensions if needed to complete a form, otherwise, the spot will be open for someone else.
7: I as the owner of the RP reserve the right to accept and decline forms as I see fit. I will not tolerate rude behavior towards me just because you got declined - if you do get declined, try and work on your form, and maybe it'll get accepted due to the corrections. Put thunderbird in other. I hope to RP with many new faces - so come on, I don't bite.
8: I will make a 4-character limit, however as the RP progresses, I'll allow you to make as many characters as you can handle.
9: I will allow art for your characters since cartoonish human art is allowed - make sure they are properly credited and follow all of the WP regulations or this rule will be redacted.
10: This RP is not a heavy romance RP and there may be some hints of it so I'll get this out the way - no romances between your own character [the exception is if the character has a deceased lover or one that'll die later on.] Also, you are allowed to have your characters be siblings, cousins, etc.
11: Don't be the character constantly disrespecting the superiors and higher-ups - it can be fun but it's also annoying. After all why do
you want your character to constantly get in trouble.
12: Any questions are to be asked via PMs - I don't want this thread clogged up.
13: I understand that backstories are fun and giving characters angst and tragedy makes them spicy, but come on - not every single character needs a sob story, but also please don't anyways make your characters have the best or perfect life. Happy middle-class families are nice to hear about. But also be creative with this.

The setting is set on modern day Earth of 2024, with the Order of the Veil having subbranches around the world. Supernaturals from folklore, mythology, legends, etc. are existent beings scattered across the world. Lying low amongst humans to not get figured out and be put in danger. However, the main setting of the RP is set in the main headquarters located underground America, where agents from all around the world are gathering to assist with the damage done thanks to the traitor. The underground headquarters can only be accessed through magical portals (through a teleportation device), so humans and supernatural beings not part of the agency can’t just freely come and go whenever they please. Agents from other branches have arrived while those already part of the American Branch are returning from their missions to attend a meeting. New task forces are being assigned (much to the displeasure of many) to increase the number of forces and proficiency now that more and more cases have been emerging.

The main location of where the agency is taking place is located underground in America. The Order of the Veil operates from an intricate underground facility, hidden beneath the guise of abandoned places in secluded towns. The secretive organization ensures that the supernatural remains veiled from human eyes - deftly managing any threats or anomalies that arise. The entrance to the Order’s headquarters is concealed by sophisticated illusion spells. Only members of the agency with correct magical credentials can pass through the seemingly solid barriers, accessing a door that teleports them to the underground facility.

The facility's design seamlessly blends advanced technology with ancient magic, creating a unique and functional environment. The walls are adorned with protective runes and mystical symbols, while soft, ambient lighting creates an atmosphere of calm and focus. The entire headquarters exudes an aura of secrecy and purpose, reflecting the Order's mission to safeguard humanity from the hidden dangers of the supernatural world. This intricate network of rooms and corridors forms the backbone of the Order of the Veil, ensuring that the supernatural remains hidden and humanity continues blissfully unaware of the magical world lurking just beneath the surface.

Sections of the Base

The Archivists are dedicated researchers who catalog and preserve this invaluable information, ensuring it is accessible for agents when needed.

The cells are reinforced with a combination of physical and magical barriers to ensure no entity, no matter how powerful, can escape. The cells are monitored around the clock, with specialized teams ready to handle any containment breaches.

Living Quarters: Agents of the Order often live on-site due to the demanding nature of their work. The Living Quarters provide comfortable accommodations, including private rooms, common areas, and a cafeteria that serves meals infused with subtle magical enhancements to boost energy and well-being.

Armory: The Armory is a secure vault containing a vast array of weapons and tools designed to combat supernatural threats. From silver-coated blades to enchanted firearms and protective amulets, this section is meticulously organized and heavily guarded. The armory also houses prototypes of new magical weapons and equipment, ensuring that agents are always prepared for any situation.
