Plot:
It is 4067AD on Mars. Major climate changes have happened--as it does. However, it seems that most people have just accepted the way of life is just like an old western. There are sporadic towns dotted here and there. They all have their sheriff, deputy and townspeople to keep the town going. The farmers use the water that comes from the atmosphere, but it's few and far in between. Most of it is mined. Which works fantastic. Usually. Lately, a band of outlaws has decided that they're going to be controlling the water supply. Which is less fun. But how can you know who is part of the outlaws and who isn't? Starting a war of course. It's the classic outlaw vs town type of story. -------- RP: tbd Discussion: https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=36&t=91895 Edited at July 25, 2024 03:14 PM by Zeraphia

RULES: - Eve's rules apply. If they didn't, we'd have problems. - Semi-literate. We're upping the stakes here and going with 300+ words per post, good grammar and spelling. Obviously a typo or two isn't too bad but come on y'all. - IC drama, yes. OOC drama, no. - Be active or be murked. If something comes up, let us know! - 2 character limit! Characters can be human-like or alien in appearance. They do not have fancy abilities. Just looks. - Will characters potentially get killed? Ehhh, maybe. I get attached to mine, so maybe not. Will they get injured? Abso-freaking-lutely. We need that juicy drama and tea. - I DON'T DO RESERVATIONS. - IF you are going to try and go for the Deputy / Outlaw Leader, I would love for you to have a character sheet that reflects passion. It doesn't have to be a novel but something that reflects your writing style, gives us a solid idea of what your character is like. - no mary sues, weeping wills, etc. we need characters that are a little more three dimensional. - I lost count so - are used. We'll limit to 2 characters per person to start with. ------- World Info: I haven't thought through this entirely. I'll be honest. It's just a cowboy vibe that I absolutely thought was solid. So, think of like old western type vibes. The dusty old towns, the sheriffs, the outlaws, the people who work in the bar or the general store, etc. but the horses are all mechanical because actual horses wouldn't do too well. The town we'll start in I feel like we'll call New Phoenix for fun. Because that feels right. The Outlaw group doesn't have a name yet, they're just the Outlaws. We may come up with a name later. Pack Number: 85543 Name: Nolian Terrence Age: 22 Gender: Male Group: New Phoenix Rank: Sheriff Orientation: Ace/Demi Appearance: Nolian Terrence stands approximately 6'0" even. Sometimes, he'll say "five foot twelve" for no good reason other than he can. An absolute dork. This slightly brainless nutwad, has soft blond hair. It's not a golden blond, more of a creamy blond. It offsets his warm skin tone and faded blue eyes. His eyes are almost... ish grey. But not quite. IF you can get close enough, you'll notice his warm skin is peppered--absolutely smattered--with freckles. There is, also, a notch through his eyebrow. His build is more lean muscle, with broad shoulders and a good size to him. Nolian has a lot more muscle under his clothes than he seems to have. His clothing is a lot more neutral than one might think. With a white button-up shirt tucked neatly into a brown leather belt with a gold belt buckle. These wrap around darker khaki trousers and fall neatly over his favorite shoes, a pair of dark leather boots. You'll find his shiny gold sheriff's badge pinned over his heart on the left side of a leather vest. He occasionally wears a lighter western hat, but it's usually resting along his back without really being worn properly. He says "it's too hot" or something. It might be too big for his head. Link - (C)85543 Personality: If "an absolute dork" doesn't fit enough with Nolan's personality, then it's a bit more complicated than one would think. Nolan's dazzling grin, wide smile, bouncing personality is often energetic. There is a lot of energy behind his eyes. He grins, he smiles, he laughs. He... refuses to show anything else. Nolian is always smiling, always laughing about one thing or another. It's almost as if he literally can't compute any emotion that isn't... happy. Well, at least in front of others. Nolian's expression falls behind closed doors, letting himself feel the weight of everything only alone. Only ever alone. No one else needs to be sad--there's plenty going on. If he's happy, others are happy. Other: Nolian is brand new in the sheriff position after the previous one, well, died in the war. He's got a lotta nerves but does his best to hide them under sheer confidence. He's also kind of reckless when it comes to riding mechanical horses. Tends to go through them a lot. Pack Number: 314987 Name: Allium "Al" Adair Age: 24 Gender: Male Group: New Phoenix (Kind of) Rank: Townsperson (Horse Builder/Mechanic) Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: On their own, none of Al's features are particularly stunning. He's rather short, only 5'9, with a untamable mass of curly black hair the color of an oil spill and deep brown eyes. His skin is tanned honey-brown, although in the places the sun doesn't touch, he's verging on pale, especially given his otherwise dark features. In his opinion, his best feature is his smile; or, at least, his lips, which are full and giving but not exceptionally so. Despite this, none would call Al anything other than a deeply handsome man. He's the sort of person who fills every room he walks into to the absolute brim; turning heads of men and women alike. His bearing is almost obscene- he practically drips confidence. This is, unfortunately, something he is acutely aware of, and it makes him annoyingly vain, once you get to know him. As if to make up for his somewhat plain appearance, Al enjoys all things ostentatious in his dress. He's long-legged despite his stature, and is quite given to dark trousers or jeans that make him look taller, and make the deep jewel tones of his shirts pop all the more. His boots were expensive; imitation snakeskin, almost iridescent in the light, and on anyone else it would have been overkill. The same snakeskin makes up his hatband; standing out starkly against the black hat he's never seen without. He's quite given to long sleeves, if only to hide his singular insecurity; his left arm, which was mortally injured in a work-related accident, leaving him with a sophiticated metal prosthetic from the tips of his fingers to his shoulder. For the same reason, he often wears leather gloves to hide the hand. Personality: Al is an unbelievable rake, and an even more unbelievable mechanist- the latter only just making up for the former. He spent the first half of his life being raised by his gunslinging father; a man technically unaffiliated with any particular gang, but not a man of many morals. He was gunned down when Al was only 15, although by then the damage had been done, and the young man was already quite given to drink, gambling, and sultry-eyed men and women, vices which have failed to disappear in his adult life. It was lucky that he had some skill as a gunsmith, which earned him an apprenticeship with a well-known horse mechanist north of New Phoenix, and enabled him to earn an honest living. He took to it like a fish to water, and is reknown for the speed and quality of his work. He moved to New Phoenix relatively recently, to take advantage of the gap in the market left by the war. New Phoenix has been good to him. The sheriff, who he finds some difficulty in respecting, given his age, keeps him plenty busy servicing (or salvaging) the mechanical horses he routinely beats the hell out of, and if he spends a bit of his side time doing work for the "other side", well, that's his own business. He's a good man, at his core, at least he believes himself to be. All he wants is a stiff drink, a winning hand, good conversation, and something to tinker on. Sure, maybe he's a bit vain, and maybe he could care less about who exactly comes out on top of this war. The way he sees it, there will always be need for a mechanist... Other: Al is given to using his charm to get his way. He spends an inordinate about of time flirting with whoever is closest to him at any given moment. Do not take it personally; he's not serious, he just wants something. If he was serious, he'd contact that person privately. This is deeply unlikely to happen. He takes rejection well, tell him to kick rocks and he will absolutely go kick rocks.

Pack Number: 292725 Name: Addison Karston Vega Age: (preferably 18+) 27 Gender: Male Group: Outlaw Rank: Leader(?) Orientation: Bisexual Appearance: (Face Claim: Glen Powell) Addi is tall and lean, standing at about 6'2. Although he isn't very muscular, he carries a sense of authority about him, and his height helps enforce it. He's got a sharp jawline that offers his face a structured look, almost giving the appeal of a roaring twenties movie star. His eyes are a mix of green and blue, which often leads to them more looking like a blurry grey. He keeps his face neatly shaved, he refuses to grow facial hair. His skin is a warm golden tan, and he had an aura of a weathered outdoorsy-ness. In a conventional sense, this young man is considered attractive, with his daydream filled eyes, and a soft, tapered textured swoop of honey blonde hair. His style is severely stolen from old Westerns. He keeps himself comfortable and cool in either well worn jeans or khakis, and although he'd be happy in tank tops, he normally has flannels, button downs, and vests, all to keep himself looking classy. Addi wouldn't be caught dead without his precious hat and boots. One of his most telling styles is his jet-black cowboy boots, deep-set with small turquoise stones, and pressed with intricate, mesmerizing designs. His hat is similar, a deep coal colour, with a small leather loop round it, a tiny stone dangling tantalizingly. Personality: Addi is your run of the mill juvenile delinquent turned actually mean. He's sharp-witted, and sharp tongued. He cares deeply what his people think of him, and doesn't give a lick what anyone else does. Like a rattlesnake, he's coy and fast, but gives a damn good warning what he plans on doing. He loves arguing and lying, but would rather give up his boots and hat than be a cheater. Even at cards, where a good deal of his own loot is on the line, he wouldn't risk the honor behind his name. To those close to him, nothing is a secret, but nothing goes unpunished. He's known as a strict leader, but doesn't hold himself above his followers. To those who don't know him, he often comes off as ruthless and domineering, which is...partly true. As a lover, he is wholehearted and dedicated, and likes to spoil his partner rotten. Other: He had a younger sister named Harbour, who disappeared when he was 10. This was (allegedly) when he started on his path of crime. Themesong(s): Dead End Road - Jelly Roll broken - lovelytheband The Gambler - Kenny Rogers Affiliations: TBA
