The Kingdom of Ederia is famed for a lot of things, attaining high praise from all those that look upon her. However, there is one thing Ederia is most renowned for: Dragon Riders. The only Kingdom to have come up with a way to tame the legendary beasts, to ride upon their backs as one. It has been like this for decades, perhaps even centuries, few really know. And, together in harmony, Dragons and Humans have lived, creating a proserpous nation.

The Dragon Academy of Ederia is like none other, literally there are no others known to the world. A place where young students who have been lucky enough to be chosen by their dragons go to learn to become the most revered role in all of Ederia: Dragon Riders. Few are selected, as dragons are known to be an entirely selective species, but those who are chosen must learn quickly, and that is where the Academy comes in. Exerpienced riders teach the fledgling riders and their dragons how to work together as one, as well as everything the youths will need to know about dragons and what they are up against in the world.

It sounds like a beautiful, wonderful place, right?

Too bad all good things must come to an end.

Jealous nations, wanting to claim the glory for themselves and bring down Ederia have set their sights on destroying the Academy. It was only a matter of time before the succeeded too. One night, the forces of another Kingdom infilitrated the Kingdom, intent on burning it all. And they did. The Academy was destroyed, the cities burned, and it's occupants, the ones who tried to resist and fight back, were slaughtered. In hopes of preserving a little bit of their legacy so that hope would remain, the Leaders of Ederia and the Dragon Riders commanded the students to flee, to survive, to learn.

As the battle raged on for Ederia, the students fled, looking back on the carnage behind them, hoping that one day they could come back and restore their beloved Kingdom.

The Rules of the Roleplay
Follow all of WP's and Eve's Rules.
1. Be Active. Sometimes I'm not on for a couple of days, but I expect everyone to be as active as they can for the rp. Unless you are waiting for someone to post, you should be posting. Posts should be occurring every 3-ish days.
2. Reservations last 48 hours. You know how I work if they aren't done in time. You may ask for One Extention of Up to 12 Hours, but You Must Ask Before the Reservation has Expired.
4. Maximum of 4 Characters per Person for Now. All I ask is you finish the characters you reserved and started first before reserving more.
5. Semi-Realism and Semi-Literacy are required. Please do not make me explain myself.
6. I had an old rule here that I removed and I don't know what to replace it with, and I'm too lazy to think of something new.
7. The riders are new, they will not be experts at Dragon Riding. Mistakes will be made, and they do not know everything.
8. For now, your own dragon and your own rider cannot be partners, this it to prevent people from not having others to post with.
9. I reserve the Right to Deny Applications for this Rp. I won't tolerate disrespect or rude behavior if your application gets denied, or your reservation/character get removed due to inactivity. If you do, I won't even give you the option to fix it or return. If you are respectful, I am often willing to work with you.
10. Try to keep things even with genders, it's much more interesting if things are diverse.
11. LGBTQ+ is welcomed and allowed here.
12. Please put your favorite Dragon movie or book in the other section of your form if you've read everything.
13. As Mentioned: These are still kids. They shouldn't be expert assassins, or perfect swordsmen, etc. They can have training for things, but they're still just teenagers. Even the Experienced Riders won't be expert warriors, etc. because they're still in training too.
14. Only 1 Mentor or Squad Leader Role [Includes Dragon or Rider] per Person.




Choosing Your Partners
I have decided to, one again, change things. Gotta keep things fresh yanno? It's familiar, and straight forward, but there are somethings to abide by, or keep in mind.

I am allowing you guys to choose your own partners this time, I will set a Deadline that you'll need to choose by otherwise I will asign you one myself. However, there are a few things to keep in mind.
1. Your character must be acceped by me First.
2. Dragons decide, so I would like you to reach out on behalf of your own dragon, if you have one, and let others come to you for your rider. Of course I can't really control this, but I'm going to pretend everyone is following it. [Exception being for the Mentors and Squad Leader since they're predetermined.]
3. You can only be paired with the same roleplayer once, unless I say otherwise.
Might add more, Im not sure.





The Academy Rules
1. No romantic relationships while enrolled between students. It's forbidden.
2. Curfew is 9 PM. Dorm checks will be done to confirm students are in their rooms.
3. Opposite Genders are not allowed in the other dorms after 8 Pm.
4. Tardiness is not allowed. If you are late to class more than 3 times, you will receive extra work or chores as punishment.
5. Riding outside of School Grounds Without Permission is Strictly Prohibited for your Safety.
6. Violence among students is not acceptable, unless in a specific class like Sparring.
7. Dragons: Do not eat the students. Please.
8. Students are expectedt o provide and care for their Dragons.

9. Any Students Found Mishandling Dragon Eggs will face Expulsion! (Gregory)

About the Academy
The Academy was found by some of the first generations of riders, wanting a streamlined way for new riders to learn and grow safely. It features basic education as well as everything revolving around dragons from care to flight to sparring, and everything in between and beyond.

The Academy is much like modern day college, in the fact that the chosen riders leave home to live on the grounds. Their dragons also live on the grounds in the rookery, though are typically much less happy about it than the humans. The humans are split into two dorms, one for boys and one for boys, and are assigned rooms that they share with two people in each room. Each of the dorms have common rooms where the students can relax on down time, and a dining hall for meals, though they aren't always required to eat there.

The Dragon counterparts stay in one of the two rookeries. The first is the top level of the school, carved out and fitted so that each dragon has a little outcropping of space for its nest. It's a very large and open room, and spans much of the building. It has openings on either broadside that the dragons can enter through by flight or glide. There is also a human door that allows the students access as well.

The second rookery is underground, a expanse of cave systems that gives each dragon a bit more privacy than in the first rookery. Each dragon has its own cave, and the nests are all connect by a system of tunnels which then connect to the large main tunnel, which can easily fit multiple dragons in it at once, that leads to the entrance. Ironically, the tunnel entrance itself looks like a cave mouth until one were to venture within it further.


About the Dragons
There are a variety of dragons in the world, though everyone single one of them fall into one of the classes listed below. Instead of giving them a Singular, Pre-Decided Ability, I've decided to give you more Creative Liberty with Your Dragons. I will now List all the Classes Available, How Many of them There are Available, and that is it. You'll have to come up with the rest.


All the dragons in the Rp are the same age group of young adult, which is the stage where they are 50 years old or above, becoming full adults at about 250 years. The older a dragon gets the longer the aging stage lasts, ergo ancient is longer than adult, which is longer than young adult, which is longer than their adolescent stage, and so on and so forth. Dragons are considered semi-immortal but it has never been proven what age they die naturally at.

For the Purpose of this Rp, all Young Adult Dragons are capped at 19 Feet Tall. I've based this on the largest I would allow the Young Adult Dragons in former versions of this Rp.

For your dragons, though, it will be up to you to come up with their abilities and their individual weaknesses. Of course, I will have a specific set of Weaknesses that apply to ALL dragons, but each dragon will also have their own. You must have 1 Weakness for Every 1 Ability they have. So if you give them 5 Abilities, you must have 5 Weaknesses for them as well. This is to keep balanced, so no one's dragon is OP. If I do not think you have balanced your dragon enough, they will not be accepted.

Beollan was named for his appearance, in the fact that he always looks like a glowing fire in the middle of the night.

Beollan breaks the mold of Fire Dragons, and, well, honestly, just Dragons in general. However, that could be chalked up to how old he is in comparison to the other dragons he is around, having grown and changed over the years since he was last seen. He is not massive by dragon standards, well within the size frame for a Fire Dragon, however, compared to the dragons who are several centuries his junior, he seems quite large. Standing at between about 35 feet at the shoulder, it's hard to measure his exact height, however, it's easily seen he's about twice the size of his younger counterparts. One thing to keep in mind with Beo is while he isn't necessarily super tall for his age, he is more of a long dragon, being rather streamlined in build. However, Beollan is a testiment that dragons do not stop growing as they age.

In terms of build, Beo has a unique figure, but one that fits within the parameters of a Fire Dragon's physique. He is athletic, and muscular, but with a more streamlined and sleek build. It's clear that the male was designed to be more aerodynamic than he is sheer bulky mass. Can he throw down? Absolutely. But he's designed, it seems, for aerial and fast warfare. He's a bit more elongated than other dragons, with a slightly longer neck, and a slightly longer body, with lean and powerful legs that carry him around on all fours. His front feet are much more like hands than his hind feet, with the toes of his front feet being longer and more designed for gripping, giving him a grasp that is absolutely ferocious. His hind feet, though, while a bit longer than normal, are closer to the normal design for dragons. At the end of his toes on his front feet are very long, curved and very sharp claws [think bird of prey claws that are dragon sized]. Whereas the claws on his hind feet are shorter, thicker, and a bit blunter.

He has the stereotypical pair of wings, but they're longer than some might expect, allowing him to move at surprising speed, though not anything close to the smaller, more agile counterparts. What does make Beollan rather unique, are the wing-like membranes that are attached to the backs of all his legs, as well as down the sides of his tail. At the end of his tail, the wing membranes create a fan-like tail tip. Now, he can control these, and can have the Membranes splayed, so they're viewable and usable, or he can have them laid down so that the spike protrude more, and can be used to pierce things. Think of like the Spine on some Fish's backs. These do give him the unique ability of being able to glide even if his wings are damaged. Albeit he won't glide well, but enough to make an escape if need be.

For his build, Beollan seemed to be almost stuck in the middle between appearing more like a Classic or American styled dragon and that of a Chinese dragon. With his lankier build, he seems to take slightly after the ladder, but with too many features of the former to really let him be either one. His head holds a shape that is a mix of the two types. He has a a more squared head, his head snout shape being average in length, but rather than tapering to a point or even just a narrower square, it remains relatively wide in comparison. Though not as wide and robust as other dragons. His top canine teeth, though, do jut out past his lip and are viewable to those around him even when his mouth is closed. He has clear definition to his jaw line, with a wide nose atop his snout. Above his eyes are defined ridges that resemble "eyebrows", that turn inwards and conjoin with a similar spiked ridge starting on his forehead, and carrying down his spine to his tail tip. The ridge along his back never grows to be more than a couple of inches long, and there is a convienent place where it ends at the base of his neck, before picking up just before his shoulders end, or where his wings attach. This gives the perfect place for a saddle and rider to be placed unhindered. Nearing the back of his head, a pair of a spiraling horns [think Kudu], just from his head. They're several feet in length, and end in a sharp point perfect for piercing. They're angled so that if he bows his head down, he can use them to impale others if necessary. Oddly enough, these horns are also quite warm to the touch and increase in heat when he's using his ability.

The last thing to take notice about his face are the vents on it that release steam, or smoke, from them to help regulate his temperature. There are three on the top of his snout, that decrease a bit in size as they go down it. Meaning the first, the one closest to his forehead, is the largest, whereas the one closest to his nose is the smallest. The last vent is actually on his forehead, and connects to the ridge on his spine, with the tapered, tail end almost touches the first vent. The vents, which are similar to gils in shape, on his snout can and will close and open of their own free will, but he can also control them. However, the vent on his forehead is always open. This is because it isn't a true vent, it's actually a wound that never properly healed, and instead turned into a vent. This means he has a constant flow of air to the fire he breathes, allowing it to get hotter than what he himself can make it, so he has to take that into account when using fire. He has to adjust to take into account the air flow from the vent. Due to these not being markings, but instead actual openings in his skin, when they are open they appear the color of flame, because they basically are, however, when the three on his snout are closed, they're just closed, black lines.

Now, for his coloration, Beollan is not necessarily a complex color scheme, though he appears it. His base scale color is black, which is a bit unusual for fire dragons, but the sheer amount of flame color on him seems to make up for it. His belly scales are not black, instead they appear to mirror the color of flame, and are a constant flux of reds, oranges, and yellows. This same color is seen outlining the black scales of his base, on the ridges of his eyebrows and spine, and they also color his horns as well. Surprisingly, this is the same color that can be seen in the vents of his face. So it's unusual if it's actual flame, or a coincidental coloration. Lastly, for his wing membrane, they take on that same flux of colors, however, black veins can be seen spidering across them. Unusually, though, the male's mouth is completely black, meaning his tongue, teeth, and gums make his mouth seem like a void until he breathes fire. His claws are also black, and are quite shiny. Lastly, as if to match, his eyes resemble flame too.

It's a fact that Beollan is not the dragon he used to be, no longer the battle hardened warrior with a ferocious attitude. Back in the day, as he'll say it, he was an aggressive and competent warrior, with a snarky and snide attitude. He was arrogant and blissfully ignorant about the idea that things could ever change. He was at the top of the world. And then it all came crashing down with the cleave of a sword.

Nowadays, Beollan is moreso a shell of what he once was, his fractured psyche apparent to all those who are lucky enough to even see him, let alone actually talk to him. He's mentally and emotionally broken, never having fully healed from the loss of his original rider, much like the wound on his head never healed the way it should have. Now it's just a constant void that fuels his fire.

There are still some hints of his original personality within him, as he's quite snarky still, and not at all patient in the matters of stupidity and arrogance. But he isn't immediately volatile like he used to be. Now it takes quite a bit to get him to the point where he'll explode, but it isn't impossible to reach. And, given his lack of social skills, it's unlikely it'll be difficult to reach the more and more he's exposed to others. In fact, due to his primarily, and incredibly, solitary nature, Beo doesn't handle being around others very well at all. It's no longer natural to him. The only company he's had over the recent centuries was himself, and he's had plenty of conversations with him. He gets along well with him.

If it wasn't clear yet, Beollan is a bit... mentally unhinged. He isn't all put together, with several pieces of his mental state completely MIA. This makes him someone that others will absolutely have to keep an eye on in order to keep themselves, and others, safe. He's unpredictable in his reactions, and unreliable in the sense that you can never depend on him to follow how things should be handled. Still, Beo is a very proud dragon. If you try to point out these flaws in his state of mind, he's going to become insulted and likely act out because of it. He doesn't want to admit anything is wrong, because then he would have to talk and think about why. In general, Beo is a proud dragon, it's not something he's ever lost. So tread carefully.

Despite all his... oddities.. the fire dragon is still 100% fire dragon. He's obscenely protective over what he calls his, and entirely territorial. He won't take lightly to someone treading on something he doesn't intend to share, and he will defend himself, and those he cares for, violently. Those who do not align themselves with those he cares for are consider his enemies and he will remove them without prejudice. Afterall, despite the very jaded and sometimes scatter brained antics of the male, he is still a very experienced and intelligent dragon. There is a very wicked mind behind his eyes, and, while he doesn't always seem so, he is absolutely capable of using his mind to get out of things he can't out muscle.

After all of this though, is an inheritantly grumpy and snarky old man for a dragon. He prefers to be left alone. In fact, there is something about the older dragon that is incredibly untamed, wild, more so than even some of the younger dragons. He isn't a soul you can bully or trick into compliance or submission. This wildness, though, is often originally presented in how cold he is towards humans. It's unlikely he will even be that friendly with his own future rider despite the obvious fact that they are his rider. Will he keep them from death? Sure. But he isn't going to outrightly just be friends with them either. And those humans who aren't his? Forget it.

At the end of the day, Beollan's personality is the result of his age, seclusion, and scars.
History:
Beollan was the Dragon of a Rider Centuries Ago, when he too was a young adult dragon. He wouldn't say they were a famous pair, but the duo was wellknown within the Kingdom and especially among the Dragon Riders. Given the extended lifespan that Riders get when paired with Dragons, after about 80 or so years together, Beollan's rider tragically died in battle, severing their bond and leaving the Dragon lost and heart broken. Rather than retreating back to the academy to heal his wounds, both physical and emotional, the Fire Dragon disappeared, unseen for centuries. It was rumored the dragon had died of a broken heart in the confines of his home, but that wasn't the case.

Instead, Beollan became the equivalent of a hermit, barely going out except to hunt, and only doing so in the cover of night. He never revealed himself to anyone ever, and if the area he lived in became too highly populated, he'd move to a new, more secluded location to preserve his reclusiveness. After centuries of this, the dragon recently has felt that all to familiar pang within his chest, a feeling he, and everyone else, never thought he would feel again.

Now, despite everything that they know about dragons, Beollan has reappeared once more to potentially claim yet another rider.

Abilities:
🔥 Fire/Heat Manipulation: Pretty straight forward, but this is Beo's ability to generate and manipulate fire and heat. The different applications and techniques he can use are limited only by his imagination and skill set, though the more advanced a technique is, the more dangerous the backfire could be if it goes wrong. Truly, though, Beo just prefers to use this ability in the form of his claws and fire breath. Occasionally his horns, scales, teeth or tongue, but not as often.
🔥 Fire Breath & Bile: Beollan has the ability to breathe fire in two different types of ways. The primary way is he has two glands in his throat, one for oxygen and one hydrogen, by releasing these two together it ignites and allows him to breath fire. From there, his Fire Manipulation allows him to alter the temperature and strength of the flames. The second is through his bile. It is kind of gross, but basically he can project his bile [aka his vomit] which is a substance similar to Chlorine Trifluoride. It's sticky and difficult to get off, as well as self flammable and burns extremely hot, able to burn things that many view as unburnable.
🔥 Heat/Fire Aura: Rather than being able to surround himself with an aura of fire, Beo is able to create an aura around him that can become so hot it sets fire to things around him, even burning those who get too close. Its important to note that Beollan can pulse this aura away from him, much like what happens when an explosion detonates. Not to be confused with when he lets off heat through the vents on hs head, which will absolutely burn someone if they get to close when he does it.
🔥 Soul Fire: This Ability is Unique and probably one of his better ones, though he has to be careful when using it. Soul Fire is created by using his life force, or soul, to create fire. This fire is much hotter and much more malleable than earthly fire, able to bend and use it in ways the latter cannot be, and seems to defy the laws of physics. Soul Fire is also difficult to exterminate, it's possible, but it takes longer, and that includes dousing it and oxygen deprivation. It also can burn through pretty much any surface with enough concentration, which includes Dragon Scales, even his own if he isn't careful. The Use of Soul Fire is more draining to him, and he often needs rest afterwards when using it. He also has to be careful not to use too much of it, since it could end up using up his entire soul and killing him. This fire is much more brightly orange gold color that is pale in hue.

Strengths & Weaknesses:
Strengths
His Experience: He's got the Advantage of being Centuries Older than the Dragons around him, which gives him the advantage of not only being larger but more experienced in pretty much everything.
His Build: It's both an Advantage and a Disadvantage. While he isn't meant for brute force, his longer body and large wings are designed for stealth, stamina, and aerial maneuverability. He has good speed on land and in the sky, and has good maneuverability, those his speed and agility cannot contend with smaller dragons.
His Intelligence: Beollan is a very intelligent dragon behind that kooky personality. He has a way about him that allows him to put things together, connecting pieces that don't always seem like they should.
Heat: Not only is Beollan completely at home in the heat, no matter the temperature, but he is able to use the heat of his powers and body to his advantage. For example, if he gets his Heat Aura going enough before it rains, it'll eventually be hot enough to evaporate the water around and on him fast enough to allow him to use his abilities. Of course this doesn't always work if he doesn't start using his Heat Aura fast enough, but it's doable.
Glide Ability: Since he has the membranes on his limbs, if his main wings were damaged, he could still glide using the membranes. He wouldn't glide well or far, but enough to maybe escape.

Weaknesses
⊗ Beollan doesn't trust. After the damage of losing his rider, he no longer feels comfortable relying on anyone.
⊗ Beollan has deep scarring on his left ribs, and on his left leg, so his movement isn't as good as it once was in those areas.
The Cold: While Mild Temperatures Do Not Affect him, once it starts getting cold and freezing out, Beo's ability to use his powers dwindles down to barely anything. Really only enough to keep himself warm.
Water: If Beollan is submerged in water, he cannot use his abilities. And if he is Doused in water, it puts him out for a moment and he basically has to recharge for a moment. Not terribly long, just long enough to give someone a chance to flee. He also can swim, he just hates it. It'll put him in a foul mood.
His Build: While Muscular and Certainly able to Pack a Punch, Beo's figure is long and more so wirey than bulky. He's build for endurance, stealth, and maneuverability, not so much brute force.

At a glance, Nicodemus can be a relatively intimidating sight, especially for those who aren't familiar with him. Standing at six feet and three inches, the tall young man tends to tower over most who are around him, catching the eyes of everyone without putting in any effort. Who's eyes aren't drawn to someone who literally stands above the crowd? He's not one of those super tall guys with pole like structure either, instead, Nico his meat to his bones, albeit not as much as others. He still holds a lean figure, but one that is athletic with toned muscle clearling lining his physique. He's in good shape, with defined muscle presenting itself where ever there is skin exposed. Nicodemus is by no means rock hard muscle, though he do have perfect choking hands if you know what i mean, or anything of the sort, but he's not someone to count out just because he isn't a double wide either. With his height, even his lean build isn't a light weight, as he comes in at about 213 lbs. He's no push over by any means, and with his muscular build, is capable of holding his own in most fights, but also capable of moving with grace and efficiency. Nicodemus keeps himself in good shape by constantly pushing himself in, well, everything.

Even without his height, it's likely that Nico would still catch the eyes around him for others reasons. The second being his hair. It's long, inky tresses are much longer than one might expect from a man, as they reach down to about his waist, maybe just a bit above. It's naturally straight which makes it's length easier for him to keep well groomed, though it's thickness and weight make it heavy sometimes. The hair is pleasing to the touch though, as it is well kept and is often quite soft to the touch. Not that he's going to let anyone touch his hair. That's a no no. It might be tempting to touch his locks, but it's not something he is going to let just anyone ever do. So avoid the temptation and keep your hands.

Truthfully, though, Nicodemus has a rather striking appearance, as if the combination of height and hair weren't captivating enough. His skin is a pale ivory color, the shade definitely being cold toned, as there is seemingly no warmth in his at all. Being a shade or two above alabaster, his fair skin is relatively unblemished by anything, with the exception of a few scars he has gained across his body. His skin is in great contrast to the inky mane of hair he holds, but the pair of slate gray eyes seem to tie the features together a bit and soften the devastation of their appearance despite being as cold as steel themselves.

Nicodemus' features all hold a familiar trait amongst them, they're all cold, straight edges. His jaw line, which is strong but narrow, sharp enough to cut glass, something that his cheek bones share. His eyes are a mix of almond and hooded, fitting the features of his face, as anything too round or big would look out of place on the recesses of his face. His eye brows match the shape of his eyes, being straight as well, though well groomed and not overtly thick in appearance. His cheeks are a bit taut at times too, though they only ever truly look hollow whenever he is under the weather and feeling quite sick. Otherwise they give him a very defined look, as if he was carved from stone. Nico's nose is like the rest of him too, straight nose, one that has yet to be broken, as he is always careful to protect his face. His lips are a medium fullness, though they always seem to be thinner than what they actually are because he usually has them in a thin line or grimace. Truthfully, Nico rarely smiles, so the full extent of his lips often goes unseen. And, as if that wasn't enough, he has eyelashes that most women would absolutely die for. They're long and thick, and curl up naturally too. It's like he has a thin layer of mascara on constantly, except that's just how his eyelashes are. The gods are unfair.

In terms of identifiable features, Nico has a few of them. The first is, and smallest, is the beauty mark that appears at the outside bottom corner of his left eye. It's barely bigger than the tip of a pencil, but it's there, and it just further accentuates the male's beauty. If anything, it somehow softens his features. The next are the pair of dimples that form on his cheeks when the male actually smiles for once. They're rare, and hardly ever seen, but boy are they glorious when they do show. Lastly, the most noticeable are the tattoos that trace up his arms starting at his wrists and coming up to wrap across his shoulders. They're a flowy style, designed to look like water washing up and over his arms before crashing over his shoulders. They are simply black, no color, and are a stark contrast to the color of his skin.

Lastly, Nicodemus holds a pair of vocals that just seem right for him. They're deeper, baritone vocals that seem to reverberate in his chest. His voice isn't so deep as to be unsettling or at the basso level, but it isn't light or airy either. He also likes to wear a cologne that seems to be inspired from a cold, rainy day. It's delightful.

Clothing:
For clothing, Nicodemus doesn't have a very large sense of style. He prefers simple and practical clothing that fits him well and allows him to move without hindrance. He isn't one for flashy colors or anything of the sort, he's more so black long sleeve shirts, either leather themselves or ones that have the ties on the chest, black pants, hide or leather will do, and black boots. Occasionally he will mix it up and wear a white or brown shirt instead. He prefers taller boots that come up to mid-calf to protect himself when riding. On days or night that it is colder, he does have a black cloak that he adorns, and a heavier one lined with fur for when it's much colder.

Nicodemus also tends to do different things for his hair, it's the one thing he does put more effort into it. Somedays he will wear it down, others he will have it pulled back. Some times when he has it pulled back, he will include braiding into it to make it look more fancy. These are things he learned from his mother, as she always took great pride in his hair.

Nicodemus is a creature who prefers to remain as a cold, undecipherable image to others, one where they know well to keep their distance and stay out of his way. He's a relatively calm guy, to a degree, not one to lose his temper and shout in anger, he's never thrown anytihng, or had a tantrum. When the man does actually get mad, more than just mildly irritated (which is his constant state it seems), it's in a very cold and sinister way. A completely unremorseful, merciless way that is detatched and and unconcerned with the well being of others. This isn't a side he lets out very often, but once he's been pushed to far, there isn't anything he can do.

Of course, that's the rare side of Nico, most of the time he's generally in a constant state of mild irritation, but remains calm nonetheless. He's critical and hard working, passing judgement on others in the time it takes to snap his fingers, and rarely ever differing from that initial assessment. He's an incredibly driven person, the type that once he has his mind set on something, he's going to push and push and push himself until he gets there. He doesn't understand the concept of failure, even though it is very much a thing. This drive gives him very little time for any shenanigans, and if someone tries to throw him off course, even if it's unintentional, with his blunt and honest nature, he's going to rip them to shreds. See, Nico doesn't have to be angry to verbally eviscerate them, he will happy destroy every fiber of their being with a look and not even think twice about it.

Now, it's important to realize something over time. Nicodemus isn't like this because he's just an asshole. Okay. Yes. He is one, but not just because he can be, not completely. He also cares, and he wants to see everyone succeed, so that's why he is so critical, so harsh, pushing people even when they feel like they have nothing left to give. They may not like him for it, but they'll be better of for it in the end. Still, that doesn't make Nico all that likeable, not that he really minds. He can be a tad reclusive, prefering to keep to his own company, and that of his dragon's, and keep other people at bay. He isn't the type to get close to anyone, and it's highly unlikely anyone will ever know any secrets about him. In his eyes, the best types of people are the ones he keeps at a distance, and he is content to make it stay that way. That being said, don't assume that Nico is awkward or anything of the sort when socializing. While he doesn't enjoy it, he is good at it, and is known to be quite charismatic when he wants, or needs to be. There's a wickedness to his charisma, something that is so sensually smooth it seems borderline unnatural, and it is, considering he'd rather rip out his own throat then have to converse with someone of lesser intelligence (which is pretty much everyone in his own opinion).

Being the supreme daddy of Edge Lords, Nicodemus is an incredibly intelligent character. He's not only someone who can be three steps ahead of someone when needed, but he's able to apply his inteligence in multiple different formats. He can even make himself appear less intelligent than he actually is, which is a useful tool in making others underestimate him. Of course, his intelligence in general allows him to be a quick thinker, and while he's not that adaptable in every day life, when it comes to sticky situations, Nico is someone you want in your corner. He's incredibly strategic, able to come up with plans, and their back ups, and change them on the fly when needed. Will he die if he has to wash his clothes on Wednesday instead of Thursday? Absolutely. But can he think his way out of a trap? Also yes. He's reliable in the sense of his duty. If something is given to him, or assigned, it's going to get done, one way or another.

Besides being an absolute grouch, there is a few things Nico just has absolutely no time for, no matter the circumstances. He will not tolerate being dragged into stupidity or drama, he finds it a waste of time, a waste of breath, and literally anything else insulting you can think of. It's probably one of the few things that will cause him to lose that frigid temper of his.

Overall, Nico is a very cold, freezing really, individual, who likes to keep himself to himself, and doesn't really try to be anything other than the unlikeable asshole he's been labeled as. It's not like it's incorrect.

Strengths
Sword Play - While Nicodemus is trained in multiple forms of weaponry, he greatly prefers his long sword. He's been expertly trained in how to use it, and there is likely very few who can best him in combat when using it. He also can use either arm to wield his sword.
Strategic - Nico does lack some leadership qualities, but the one thing he isn't short on is his strategic mind. If there is one thing he can do, and do well, it's come up with plans and be able to adjust them when needed, even on the fly.
Intelligent - It's no doubt that Nico is of the intelligent sort, but there is a wickedness to his inteliigence that make him absolutely dangerous when he needs to be. If there is something out there that can be used to benefit him, it's going to be found and used.
Deceptively Strong - It's easy for many of those around him to believe that he is weaker than he actually is do to his taller and lean appearance. While he might not be as wide or bigger as more muscular counterparts, he holds an incredibly amount of strength since muscle is what makes up more than the majority of his mass.

Weaknesses
Unfriendly - It's no surprise, question, or doubt that Nicodemus isn't exactly the most friendly or social creature on the planet. In fact, he's not overly likeable to begin with, but it's not something that has ever bothered him.
Self-Reliant to a Fault - To put it bluntly, he isn't the type to ever rely on others, believing that, too often, they're going to let him down. So, instead, he will push himself far too hard to get whatever he needs done. This means he pushes himself passed his limit, and ends up with whatever consequences come with that.
Weakened Right Shoulder - A while a go Nico sustained an injury to his right shoulder, and while it has healed, it has left it slightly weaker than the left, and it gets tired a bit faster, and can't take as much strain. He's worked around this my strengthening his left shoulder and learning to use his left arm more.

Appearance:

Shrowded by an aura of fear and misery, most prefer to avoid Sevo, even those of his own kind. There is something about the male's appearance that just seems to unnerve those who set their sights on him. It's not his size, though, that seems to intimidate others, only standing at about 16 feet tall at the shoulder when he's standing straight, though he always seems to appear several feet shorter as he tends to move in a slithery, crouching movement that leave his legs bent. Like a cat who is snaking across a room trying to go unseen and unbothered. His physique is on the longer side, often stretched out in a languid motion while both standing and moving, and his entire length from nose to tail tip is about double his height, perhaps longer [likely longer].

His build itself isn't something overtly big or brutish, having a more lithe build that is designed for speed and stealth. His legs are long and lean, muscle sinew carrying his mass with ease over the land. His shoulders and hips are narrower, with his chest coming to a narrowed point. His neck is quite long, able to curve around and look behind him without moving the rest of his body. He actually has an almost malnourished look to him, with his sides being thin, his ribs likely would show if they could be seen through his scales and hide. His tail is arguably the most muscular part of him, and is very reminiscent to a snake's body, every inch of it is muscle, with it being thicker at the base and narrowing as it goes until it reaches a point.

He's a four limbed creature in terms of legs, with his front legs being thinner and wirey, but his hind legs hold a bit more muscle to them. Each of his front legs have five digits, speciically three front toes, one back toe, and one dewclaw. At the end of each digit is a long and curved claw, their tips sharp and jagged, with each claw appearing overgrown. On his hind legs he has four simple forward facing toes, with shorter and more blunt claws that are still jagged and sharp. Because of how his front feet are designed, Sevo has a much hire range of mobility with his front legs, and can walk.. well... weird? Each of his toes he can move independently, which allows him to move in ways that are hard to imagine until you see it in motion. Like he has the tendency to walk in a way where his back end is facing normally and walking ahead straight, but his front end might be facing to the side, with his legs moving to the side in the same direction as his hind ones. Basically. He weird.

He has a singular pair of wings on his back that connect to his shoulders. They're quite large in comparison to his almost sickly looking figure. The bones of his wings are thicker, with the toe claw on each wing being long, hooked and incredibly wicked. The membranes of his wings are smooth to the touch, but end in an almost tattered like way at the ends. This does not effect his ability to fly, though anyone whos seems him fly will notice he's, in general, a slower flyer.

For his head, Sevo has a more "normal" draconic head, with a longer muzzle that narrows slightly to a square tip. On either side of his muzzle his top canines hook down slightly past his lips, the same overgrowth thats seen with his claws. His nostrils are wide, and on the large side, able to open and shut completely to allow him to sort through scents better. There are small spikes along the line of his jaws, before they transition into fins on either of his cheeks, which end just below his ear holes. On the top of his head are a pair of long, arcing horns that are ridged and jagged much like his claws are. Between his horns, and on his forehead is where a line of short spikes begin and follow down his spine down to the base of his tail where they eventually end.

What tends to garner the most attention, though, are his eyes. Or lack there of. See, Sevo has orbital sockets, but that is it. The sockets remain completely empty, and are just a void of nothing. They're uncomfortable to look at, and seem to cause an instinctual flare of terror through the spine of anyone who looks into the sightless voids or too long. It unknown if Sevo can actually see or not, but he gives no indication that he can [he can't in the traditional sense]. What they do have, though, are receptors within them, that can detect movement, or aid him through the use of echo location to "see" whats around him. But otherwise he has no sight.

In terms of other features the male holds, he has a pair of fins or frills on the rear of his front legs. These do aid in his ability to fly, but also allow him to swim. His feet are also webbed, meaning he's surprisingly adept at swimming, and can walk ontop of soft surfaces without sinking too much. On his tail, near the tip are more fins, specifically two on either side of his tail a few inches from the tip. These fins are a little over a foot in length, and have the same function as the others, allowing him to swim or fly better. He can move these, as well as close and open them. The fins on his cheeks are more for expression and sensing than anything, and don't offer any aid in anything but that. Sevo also excretes a mucus like coating on his scales, which acts like a natural sunblock and moisturizer. It's quite slimey and unpleasant to touch but it keeps him happy and healthy.

For his coloration, he is pretty straight forward, and it aids in his eerie aura. His base color is a dark-grey, not quite charcoal grey, but close. The scutes of his belly and the underside of his tail are a swampy green color that has a little bit more pigment to it than the grey, but is still rather dull in color. His wing membranes are this same dull, olive green color, though perhaps a bit darker than the rest, and the tattered edges of his wings do tint to a dull purple color, giving it a decaying or posion like vibe. His frills are all the same way, a dull swampy green with the faintest purplish hint at the edge of their ends. His claws and horns are onyx in color, with his horns fading slightly to grey near the tips. The pads of his paws are a dark grey color similar to his base color.

In terms of markings, Sevo doesn't have many, but the ones he does have are noticeable. First is the upper fade marking of black along his body, so that the top of his body, legs, tail, neck, and top of his head are all black, before fading to the dark grey of his base coat. Next are the dark spotting appearing sporadically on his figure like inky little drops from a paint brush. They appear primarily along his legs, neck, face, and the base of his tail. They can be seen a little along his body, but not many. Lastly, there are a few clustered speckles [much much smaller in size than the spots/dots], on his neck, underneath where his wings connect, his hips, snout, and forelegs of a paler green.

The last thing people notice about Sevo are his voice and his smell. His voice is often raspy and crackley, like if a corpse was speaking through an entirely too dry throat. His voice isn't very deep, and is rather light, but the raspyness makes it seem a bit darker. His scent, though, is something else entirely. It's not the most pleasant stench, though it is quite subtle. Something woodsy mixed with the faint stench of rotting meat. It's musky in nature, and if he wants to, he can make it far, far worse. His breath, is honestly, way worse, and he can emit that pungent smell of death and decay whenever he desires.

Abilities:
- Death Shadow: Sevo's own shadow is a life force stealing entity. Anything that steps a toe into his own shadow will cause it to slowly feed off of it's life energy. This can renew Sevo's energy, strength, and even help heal him. He can't control it in the sense that if someone steps into it he can make it not feed, but he can stop his shadow from casting altogether.

- Necrotic Slash: When Sevo slashes with his claws and leaves a wound, it will turn necrotic and start eating the flesh and muscle around it away. It can easily be stopped by cauterizing the wound, but the longer it goes unburnt, the more damage it will do. It's also extremely painful even after cauterized.

- Menacing Presence: The dragon has an aura, a presence, that naturally induces fear and anxiety of those who come within a certain range of him, which is about 20 feet. He can diminish this so the range is smaller, but it never fully goes away. It also feeds off the fear of those in it, the more fear they give, the worse the aura will feel to them.

- Darkness Breath: Sevo has the ability to breath darkness, or shadows, as his breath attack. It can emit as a beam of darkness that is destructive on contact, or he can emit it more like a mist or fog to darken the surrounding area completely.

- Darkness Manipulation: Basically, Sevo can control and create darkness to his will. Examples include being able to cloak himself, or his presence, with shadows. Or ampliy the existing darkness in an area to make it more voidlike. He can use the shadows or darkness to absorb sound so its difficult to hear things and easy to lose ones way. It's not an infinite ability, and he can't really use it when there no existing darkness or shadows already.
Strengths & Weaknesses:

Strengths
+ Stealthy, especially on the ground.
+ Surprisingly Agile on the Ground, and Surefooted.
+ High Mobility on the Ground or Swimming
+ His other Senses are Incredibly Heightened to Make up for his Lack of Vision
+ Sevo naturally tends to keep others away from him because of his aura, smell, etc.

Weaknesses
- Not a Physical Powerhouse
- Slower Flyer, Not Build for Speed in the Air
- Sunlight, it cannot blind him, but it makes him feel itchy after prolonged exposure. Eventually it'll burn him. Plus, yanno, he canot use all his abilities in it.
- He can't, yanno, see like a normal dragon.
- Very loud or high pitched noises can temporarily cripple him.
