It's time for the Fire dragon migration! A wondrous event that happens every 8 years, where dragons enveloped in pure fire travel together under the lead of their queen to the nesting grounds in time for winter. And as such, the NFDF (National Fire Dragon Federation) are looking for some brave volunteers to help make sure the movement is as safe as possible. You see, for such a large movement of dangerous but mystifying creatures, danger lurks around every corner from every possible direction, and this year especially is crucial that they make it with as little casualties as possible. The population of Fire Dragons has dropped dramatically due to poaching, their scales and horns not only valuable as ornaments for some nobles' homes, but also rumored (falsely) to cure incurable diseases. The NFDF are hoping to accept as many people as they possibly can this year, and this is listing only a few of the dangers that comes with this job not only for the dragons, but for you as well.

Firstly, there's the risk of forest fires. Migration happens around the same time that these dragons begin to shed, and even one aflame scale is enough to set a good acre or two of forest on fire. Now imagine that on a larger scale. A much larger scale. Secondly, there's always the risk of poachers. A bunch of dragons that fetch high prices on the market who gather together in a predictable movement are bound to gather some sort of attention. Not to mention there are so many of them that they're hard to all keep track of and protect. Thirdly, other creatures may not be so pleased about fire dragons passing through their lands. Giants take up a large territory that these dragons pass through, and there are always a few casualties from crossing into their borders, the creatures none too happy about having dragons pass through their lands. Despite our best efforts, the Queen cannot be convinced to go a different way, as it's one of the sacred movements in their journey that they must go through. Trust past volunteers when they say that the movement is no walk in the park, but it's necessary. Now approaching onto the 27th fire dragon migration, will you pitch in or just stand idly by and watch?

The journey takes place through many areas of the world, though you will mainly be traversing through many different kinds of forests and steep mountains. The most noticeable leg of the journey will be through the giants lands, who will be none too pleased about our presence, and Vatuka Plains where many fire dragons get poached off every year. The group will start within Blightview Forest by the flock of dragons, and move out when they take off to their nesting groups. We of course are not allowed onto the fire dragons homeland, so the group will turn back at Alinfver Pass once it seems all have made it

Fire Dragons are magnificent beasts, and the last remaining species of dragon. While the land used to have over 20 different species, all have since been hunted to extinction or heavily domesticated to the point returning them to the wild is nearly impossible. These beasts are 20-25 feet tall once fully grown and while their scales are naturally black as night, due to a natural oil coating their body they are always completely enveloped in red and orange flame with the exception of their clear crystal horns, spines, and claws. Their eyes are colored either white or bright golden. When their flames burn a weak yellow or bright greenish blue color, that means they are sickly. Hatchlings as young as 12 hours old will begin to set small segments of themselves on fire, and gradually spread to other parts of their body. There is only one central flock of fire dragons all led by a queen, easily distinguishable not only because of how she is always in front, but also because of how her horns twist like spirals and curve upwards in comparison to how normal fire dragon horns are straight and bent back towards their wings.
