Noelle Pemberly-Asa Lykaios
308 | Intersex [ Pronouns : They / Them] | Royal Offspring | Zanit | Mentions : Shanahan

A young figure lay wrapped under their blankets , a soft groan of discomfort comfort from them. Their amber eyes narrowed sharply as they felt another pang seize them, and they curled further into the blanket. They were absolutely miserable, cramps were a bitch - and these were causing a goddamn hissy fit. And it was only the second day of their cycle! It was so uncalled for and so barbaric, they didn't feel like moving nor doing anything today. Screw a meeting, they needed rest . These cramps had been annoying them for a good hour now and they couldn't get any rest. They knew heat and chocolate make cramps feel better. They wondered where their Thrall was - knowing them, they would be nearby for the young regent, and Noelle appreciated that dearly of them . The young person rubbed their eyes as they slowly moved, careful not to set off their body which was in turmoil with cramps and just plain aching. Their hair was in a white bonnet and they stood slowly in their white satin nightgown - grabbing the blanket and wrapping it around them as the proceeded to look for their Thrall. They didn't care if they looked ridiculous at the moment, they were on a mission and they would succeed. And it was easy to find their servant as, he was located near their door which was flattering in all, but shouldn't he be getting rest? They couldn't have a sick Thrall on their hands if they could help it, but mixing on from that - they needed to ask their servant here to do something for them.

" Shanahan, " the young regent had said sleepily, " can you write a letter telling my father I will not be in attendance for the meeting , because I am not feeling my best and need to rest." Their voice was groggy and tired, and rubbing of the eyes sealed the tiredness even more . " and then can you get me my goodies " they said with a more hopeful tone and beaming eyes towards Shanahan.

After that, they slowly made their way back to their bed and slowly climbed back in it. They were disgruntled by the cold sheets, any other month they would appreciate them, but not now. This led to them aggressively fluffing a pillow out for themselves and placing it back on the bed. As they covered themselves in the sheets they have a small huff - they were freezing cold, and that didn't help their cramps at the moment. And they closed their eyes trying to focus on getting some sleep , so at least they wouldn't be so tied in the morning. However, it seemed that it being so cold were only making the pains worse and they were so freaking tired of this. They flipped and turned until they could find a spot for them to curl up and rest in. However it just irritated theyr body more, the slow yet warm pulsating feeling in their stomach growing worse as they moved - leading to a small whimper of pain as they curled up, yet again. Curse being intersex , they thought heatedly. And they for a moment popped their head out and blankly looked at the fluffed pillow on their bed. And without a word grabbed it, shoved it into their face, and screamed into the pillow. It lasted a good minute or two, and afterwards they felt a little bit better as they lay in their bed miserable and hoping they didn't have to do anything particular significance anytime soon.

The low drumming in their head wasn't doing them any favors either as they tried to relax . They groaned as they slowly propped themselves up and rested their head on the headboard and just closed their eyes - a soft sigh escaping them. They were concerned about their father as they hadn't had the chance to see them since the attack that had everyone laying low, they were currently at their private castle which only a handful knew where it was . After all they didn't trust everyone, especially after the incident. They slumped down in the bed, just so he could be more comfortable

Thanos | 1212 | Male | Soverign | Ilepir
Mentions: Open

The Sun was no longer in the sky, and half of the world was embraced by night. It was getting colder by the minute, and the leaves fell off their branches. The solemn clouds partially blocked the moon and stars. Only visible through the gaps of conjoined vapor. The moonlight creeps through a singular uncovered window, noising into a room occupied by something. . .unnatural. Their hair of silver glistened under the moon's rays while their light blues were concentrated on something on their desk. Their fingers twitched as he tapped his pen on the surface in a steady rhythm, a softened tapping sound interrupting the silence while the desk lamp beamed on the observed paper. They squinted their eyes at the blinding light source.

An exhausted sigh left their lips as they rose to their feet, nearly collapsing as their head became light and their legs felt wobbly. They leaned over and rested their hands on the desk, shutting their eyes to rid themselves of such dizziness. "I truly hate paperwork. It's a bane to my undead existence," a deep masculine voice responded to no one in particular, tiredness seeping through his words. He lifted one of his hands and pinched the bridge of his nose, muttering a few words before prying himself away from the desk. His eyes lazily drifted out the open window, his lips thinning in an uncertain emotion. Thanos's eyes went to the full moon submerged in the clouds, scoffing in displeasure. "Stalker, much?" He muttered, displeased about the unwelcoming guest, giving a brisk shake of his head before stumbling to a cabinet.

His vision was cloudy, and his mouth felt dry. His head began to pound like it was close to exploding. He fell to his knees, his hands gripping both sides of his head, giving them a hardened squeeze. His stomach felt light, squeezing and twisting to punish him for mistreating his need. Thanos felt like he was going to vomit at any second. He quietly dried heave, his hands covering his lips, forcing himself to quiet it down. When everything was starting to lighten up, he got back up and yanked the door to the cabinet open. Staring at him in a taunting manner were rows and rows of bottled blood, silently mocking him for his current state of distress.

Thanos swiftly grabbed one of them, tugging the cork out, and chugged the crimson liquid greedily. His symptoms died down, the sickness he was experiencing leaving as if it didn't bring him discomfort. With his body partially his once more, Thanos walked over to his bed and plopped down on the mattress. His hand held on to the bottle of blood protectively, afraid it would slip out of his clutches. His orbs of blue concentrated on his desk with seemingly never-ending paperwork, his whole demeanor shifting to be one of defeat. He worked himself to the bone for eight days straight, and the piles still reached the roof. These attacks caused a burden not only to the vampire race but to his poor wrists as well. "I hadn't seen my children in days either," he tsked, scolding himself for his appalling actions of neglecting his offspring's needs. Finishing his bottle before getting back to his feet, he walked over to his wardrobe to change out of his silky white robe.

Thanos slipped on a casual black t-shirt and dark blue jeans. He didn't bother to put anything fancy on tonight, wanting to feel like a commoner with no desk work and not a sovereign of an entire vampiric race for one night. His brows dipped to a frown, checking himself out in the mirror of his vanity table. The vanity table used to belong to his ex-wife. With her no longer his wife, all the paperwork went to him instead of them splitting it. Well, he prefers the non-stop writing to being married to her longer. That marriage wasn't one of romance as it was for political reasons, to bring two covens together. With hers dead, it was practically pointless to stay married to her. Not to mention the fact she was a bitch to their child. He would've stayed married to Dahila if she hadn't done such actions to Noelle or his other children.

He ensured to wear the plainest clothing before stepping out of the room, tying his silver hair into a messy bun with a hair tie his ex-wife left behind. Her loss, his gain. The hair tie remained by his side throughout their marriage. If only she had the same qualities of it. He shoved his hands into the front pockets of his pants, his mouth gaping open as he yawned. When a thrall approached to ask about the meeting, Thanos shrugged, his face unmoving as he wasn't stressing about such a thing, "Tell everyone the meeting is canceled. I'm going out for a while." The thrall's mouth dropped for a split second, then closed it. "Of course, your majesty," she hastily replied, then dashed off to tell the others about the canceled meeting.

Samira Octuras | 128 | F | Dame | Vaemris
Mentions: Open
.
Cold weather was a nightmare for Samira. She didn't like the whole concept of feeling like you're freezing to death. Well, she is already dead. Samira was huddled under her blanket, trying to gather as much warmth as possible. It didn't help that her thoughts were stuck on that day. She wondered if anybody has thought about it since then. Either way, there was nothing anybody could do about it. Samira sat up in her bed and examined her empty room. She noticed small things, like the howling of the wind making its way through her window. That eerie sound, it was. Her senses were fixated on the material of the blanket rubbing against her smooth skin. She hasn't even thought for a second to remove herself from her bed. It was simply too cold.
.
After time spent thinking, Samira threw her legs over the side of the bed and sat there for a moment, thinking. Her dark orbs were fixated on the floor, mind boggled with endless thoughts of the attack. She wondered what the others were thinking. Probably the same thing. Samira finally decided to stand up, her legs slightly weak. She used all her strength to hold herself up and grab some clothes. Her closet wasn't filled with much variety, as she wore the same color combination. Black.
.
She had decided to go with a black long sleeve shirt and black pants that were held up with a belt. Her choice of shoes were always going to be her boots. She figured to stay prepared in case anything were to happen suddenly. Before deciding to exit her room, she made her way to her window and stared out into the abyss. The howling of the wind growing louder and louder, almost as if it is hungry. Even though Samira despises the cold, she would prefer that over the burning intensity of the sun. That feeling of melting. She closed her window all the way, which muffled the noises from the wind and walked towards her door.
.
Turning her door knob slowly, she winced at the shriek that came from it. Samira slowly opened her door before exiting. She figured she would take a small walk around the place to gather her thoughts. Her long black hair covered most of her face to hide her unsure expressions. Samira's arms were crossed in a nervous manner as she slowly strolled, keeping her head down. This wasn't uncommon behavior from Samira. She has always been described as a nervous wreck. Especially after the attack, it just made it worse for her.

Jayco | Unknown | Male | Viscount | Ducaino
Mentions: Open

"Listen here, you mangy bastard!" A heavy Irisish voice boomed through the hair, venom laced in their hard-to-hear strong accented words. Jayco's emerald eyes boiled with rage, his jaw clenched immensely, while his face scrunched up in displeasure. "I did no such thing." His voice lowered, leaning forward to get closer to the person he was talking to. "I didn't kill that guy. I killed someone that ironically looks like him! Thank you, though," he snapped, tone drenched with heavy sarcasm, "for coming to me first to ask about it. At least I know that I'm the first person in your mind, and I adore that. However," He rolled his eyes before commenting again, his stomach on the table, "I'm also offended that you believe I'd do it that poorly. Whoever killed that dude needs to get their murder license taken away. Pronto!" He slammed his fist angrily onto a wooden table, then a large crack was heard, and the table split into two.

A moment of silence occupied the room, Jayco's eyes on the shattered table he broke. A minute later, he gasped dramatically, his mouth agape in feigning distraught. "You broke my fucking table!" He points an accusing figure in front of him, then to the table in pieces. "I stole this thing fair and square. You arrived at my house, dared to accuse me of something I most certainly didn't do and destroyed my embezzled table." He threw his arms in the air, his hands going through his red curly hair. Jayco exhaled sharply before dropping his arms, slapping himself on the side before gesturing to the table with the same here. "Super glue can't fix that mess. Not even flex tape. That means," he sucked air through his teeth, making a hissing sound, "I have to go to someone else's house." He glared daggers at the person across from him, getting agitated by the second. "You're not going to say anything? Ugh, rude." He examined the house, staring at the blood-covered walls and floors, ignoring the bodies on the floor. Jayco's attention went to the tilted paintings and destroyed furniture, chewing on his bottom lips. "This place is horrendous. The one who made this mess should clean it up," tilting his head back to the one he was conversing with prior, the man slumping in his chair, clearly deceased.

He rolled his eyes when he didn't get a reply, then stormed out of the trashed house. He was in the middle of nowhere in the dastardly woodlands, the cold weather nipping at his skin and the glowing eyes staring at him from the dark. Wait, vibrant eyes at him from the shadows? Jayco didn't acknowledge that for a few seconds, checking out the area until one of them blinked his way. His thick brows knit together, "Did my shadow buddies follow here from my dreams?" He snorts, tugging a strand of his locks, fixated on the eyes watching him. He realized something, making him slap his face, "Right. . .I forgot the new ones. I'm such a horrible animal dad." Jayco claps his hands together, a smile on his freckled face, "Children! Go ahead and have a feast." His lustrous eyes of green surveyed the tree line, a cheeky grin on his face. He listens to the bushes rumble and branches being snapped as they emerge from the brambles, heading to the open front door. The animals he recently bonded with were four wolves, a brown bear, and a mountain lion. He's grateful for such beasts as they can take the blame instead of him. I mean, come on! You can't arrest a brown bear for murder. Besides, the cuffs are too small for them.

He watches them for a little while before strolling deeper into the woods, heading toward the abandoned castle for the meeting that's about to take place. That was his goal until a horned owl landed on a branch and hooted, making Jayco stop. His eyes went to the bird, raising a brow, "Something you need?" "Hoot. Hoot." "What'd you mean he canceled it?!?" "Hoot." Jayco's teeth ground together, squeezing his hands into a tight fists. He was speechless, the owl tilting its head in confusion and worry. He exhaled, raking his fingers through his scarlet hair. Jayco huffed, then shooed the owl off with a hand. "Thanks for the message. I guess." "Hoot." The bird flies his way, landing on his shoulders. "Can't you believe the man? I dressed up presentable for once," motioning to his blood-covered attire, grumbling bitterly, "He may be our king, but he's not free from a crotch kick." The owl tilted its head, keeping its large yellow eyes on Jayco. "Hoot?" "A crotch kick is when you take your leg and weaponize it against someone else's valuables," his fingers stroked the bird's chest, playing with the feathers, "It's a human thing."

Valentina Catalina | 280 | F | Countess | Shune
Mentions: Open
.
Another cold and lonely night passed for the woman. She could hardly sleep due to the fact that she was shivering like a crazy person. Valentina laid in her bed, lifeless, with her eyes staring wide at the ceiling. She was unsure of what to do next until it clicked in her head. The meeting! Valentina scurried out of the bed and instantly ran to the closet. Fashion was her middle name. She had to look the best she could look. Val scrambled through her closet, practically making a mess in the room trying to find a suitable outfit. She was throwing many dresses, shirts, and pants. Val hardly knew what colors she wanted to wear. But she knew what color she would look best in. Red. Valentina examined her closet and yanked out any red attire that poked through the rest of the clothes. She soon laid her eyes on a gorgeous red top. It was an off the shoulder flowy piece. Perfect. She quickly put it on along with black pants and red shoes to match.
.
Valentina then began to do her hair. She attempted french braids crowning her head, while leaving the rest of her hair to fall nicely into her loose waves. Valentina did a 360 spin while admiring herself before she left her room. As she was strolling, she overheard a Thrall informing others of the cancelled meeting. No. Way. This put Valentina in a fit of rage.
"Cancelled?!" She shrieked. "After all this time I spent on my outfit. Ridiculous!" Val angrily stomped back to her room before flipping on her bed and groaning into her pillow. The muffled groan was elongated as she was being a tad bit dramatic. Valentina laid there for a while, questioning herself as to why the meeting was cancelled. Especially, after all the commotion about it.
.
As Valentina was having her little meltdown, she got spooked by a tapping on her window. This made her jump instantly, eyes directed towards the sound.
"Ugh. Stupid branch." She said before closing the curtains, filling her room with darkness to the point where the only light left was a single candle burning at her bed side. Val walked back over to her bed and sat down, back straight up and arms crossed. The meeting better have been cancelled for a damn good reason. She thought to herself. Valentina sighed and exited her room, taking a stroll to clear her mind. As she walked, she continued to talk to herself, almost having a conversation. She looked around as more members were being informed of this new information.
"Ugh! And on such short notice?! So unprofessional." Valentina said to herself as she rolled her eyes and continued walking in a furious manner.
.
Valentina can't deny that she has slight anger issues. Well, more like dramatic issues. She cannot stand when events are cancelled. Even more because she spent forever trying to pick an outfit.
"Hmph. Well I still look good." She said to try to cheer herself up. One thing about Valentina, is she never dresses according to the weather. And she soon realized that as she began to shiver.
"Dammit." Val kept her arms crossed in hopes of regaining a tad bit of warmth but it was practically useless. Maybe walking around some more could burn some heat onto her.

Anij Ada Achron
Female | 27 | Childe | Utalea | M: Nobody
Sitting on the- almost magenta- purple bedsheets on her bed, Anij gazed around the warm purple asthetic of her bedroom. Warm purple walls. Her stained black cherry trim, doorframe, bedframe, shelves, dresser, nightstand. It was all comforting. Especially her big plants. She had a knack for keeping them alive. She had a huge fern in front and slightly to the right, which blocked it slightly and made her comfortable. She had many cascading plants over her bookshelves, leafy succulent plants, a fan cactus. And her prized Peace Lily, with a massive head sized whiter flower and even bigger leaves, she hadn't figured out a permanent place for it yet. Maybe in the kitchen so Tauekel could see it.
She was filled with boredem and stood up. She gazed over her own books, narrowing her eyes. Aha! Black Beauty. Could never go wrong with that. She pulled out the hard-covered book, nostalgic as she hadn't read it in a while. She opened it and started wandering around the house while reading. In no particular direction either, she was just wandering like a lost puppy while she read. After a few minutes she sat down on the bounciest couch she could find with her feet tucked.
Till she hit chapter nine and wanted to know what a checkrein was. She scampered toward her room to grab her phone, and google it. "Surgincle.. hold the headdd.." She mumbled, scrolling, and wandering. "Hhhh do people have no respect." She left her browser and looked at her contacts. Where was Tauekel? She huffed and put her phone down, putting it in her back pocket. She huffed as her belly growled. She walked to the kitchen and put the book and her phone down, checking the time before she moved on. She stared at the cabinets for a moment before going to the fridge. She was in the mood for a quesadilla. Granted, she always was but she actually felt like making one today. She fished around, getting her ingredients. She turned the pan on while she mixed chili peppers and shredded chicken.
She stood on the kitchen counter to see the spices better. Paprika, salt, cumin, onion powder, black pepper.. she splashed a bit of everything she'd grabbed in the bowl, mixing. She enjoyed cooking very much, which kept her thoughts lighthearted. She was in the kitchen for a while before she figured she'd made enough to feed a family of six.
She put the other quesadillas in the fridge, packaged neatly. She took her own and sat at the table alone to eat. Book inhand.
Before long she'd finished her food and her book. She was feeling way more productive than she wanted which weirded her out. She wanted to clean somethings, so away she went. She had made quite the mess cleaning ..but it was fun.
She put music on, playing from a speaker. Because who needs earbuds and silence when you're home alone- and had a cleaning concert. Being home alone was always her favorite thing. She had a lot on her mind, mainly about her adoptive father, sister, what she wanted to do with her own life if she was supposed to live forever, things about the Red Night. But she was trying very hard not to think about that and clear her mind with music. Which at the moment happened to be various songs played on various harp instruments played on full blast, most of which she knew the lyrics of and was singing along to them. Music was her therapy in a way, it helped calm her and make her happy. Today it was clearing her mind.
She needed an energetic boost to keep her cleaning motivated after a few moments and switched it to whatever genre Metallica plays. And continued to clean with the most weird dance moves ever. If they could even be called that and not just flailing like the balloon guy in front of a car dealership.

Tauekel Zhadan Viljar | 639 | Male | Marquess | Utalea | Mentions; Joaquin(Ind/Dir), Anij(Very Ind), Reynard(Very Ind).

When Tauekel woke up, it was in his own bed, in his own room. Yes, that was for certain. The warm colors of the sheets, intricately patterned pillows, blankets, and comforter made that obvious. The redwood, french country style, sleigh bed frame made that obvious. The fireplace, not currently lit but with wood ready to burn, and the two chairs sitting near it made it obvious. The cherrywood dressers, drawers, and shelves made it obvious. The warm colored walls made it obvious. The rosewood plank floors even made it obvious that he was in his own bed, in his own room. The bed seemed warmer than usual though. He slowly, quietly stretched out his joints, looking over in the direction of the extra warmth. The moment he saw the other in his bed, he adjusted his stretching to make sure he wouldn’t wake them up. More than that, however, he remembered why they were in his bed. He smiled lightly, warm and fond. Their hair was red, warm. Beautiful. He reached over, softly running his hand through the hair. The rest came rather quickly, his name was Joaquin, and he was a sly, little vixen. Vixen. Tauekel smiled fondly to himself, before slowly shifting out of bed, careful to not wake up the other man.

--

Knowing he tended to be a source of heat himself, he made sure the covers would make up for anything lost before quietly making his way around the room, hands constantly opening and closing as he walked, stretching the joints there just to keep himself moving. There was supposed to be a meeting today, so he’d need to get ready. Even if the meeting wasn’t until later, a shower would probably be a good idea. Plus, he needed to see if he had anything for Joaquin to wear whenever he woke up, he wouldn’t want him to have to wear the same outfit from yesterday. Regardless of how good he had looked in it, making him rewear an outfit seemed rude. And being rude was bad, so he didn’t want to do that. So he looked through his closet and drawers, finding nothing… Though, he was a similar height and size to…

--

He paused, hands stilling at his sides. He shivered, a chill beginning to crawl up his spine. Quickly, he stretched out his hands again, taking a breath, and shaking his head slightly. The cold was bad, being rude was bad.

--

So he forced himself to move, forced down the cold, and made his way to the back of his closet. Where hidden behind clothing he never wore, were dresses and their matching coats made for cold climates. And practically only cold climates. But the weather outside was beginning to get colder, so he didn’t think it’d be too strange to give it to Joaquin, he just hoped the shorter man didn’t mind a dress. He didn’t have anything else in his size though, and he did seem to not mind feminine clothing, so…

--

He looked at the dresses, having to force his hands to go through them; noting the qualities, colors, fabrics and, in some cases, furs. All of them were still of good quality, most of them were cool colors, the fabrics were all soft and warm, and the furs were usually white and fluffy. Warm. He moved the dresses around, organizing them so that the warm and cool colors were separated, and then hid most of the cool ones again, turning his focus to the warmer colors. The only cool colors left to view were the purples of night or flowers, the greens of summer plants, and the blues of the summer skies. Still, most of his attention stayed on the warm colors. The reds, oranges, and yellows. Which, in all honesty, narrowed down the options quite well.

--

The dress and its matching cloak he ended up picking was made of a soft fabric, luxurious and certainly fancy. The dress itself had a long sleeved red top, intricate pink and red waist, and an ombre of yellow to red for the bottom visible layer of the skirt. The next layer was sewn at the sides of the waistline, allowing the layer under it to be seen at the front. The next layer of the skirt was a light pink, almost white, except for all of the edges where it faded to a redder pink color. The layer also had intricate, reddish pink cherry blossom and leaves, and was lined with ginger fur at the edges, being lined with the same fur on its underside. The top layer was practically translucent, a simple veil of a pinkish tint that laid gracefully atop the layer under it. The matching cloak was a bright red, similar to the top of the dress, with intricate pink cherry blossoms and white leaves designed onto it, and goes down to about half the height of the dress. The edges are lined with the same ginger fur as it has sewn to its underside, and the same as the dress. And then the last piece of the cloak, a sewn on fur scarf that had an intricate golden rope to fasten the cloak closed. The fur here was also ginger, though the middle of it was an almost red shade of orange, similar to a fox. It would work quite well for Vixen.

--

With an almost nervous care, he took the dress and matching coat from the rack, holding it delicately. Stiffly. The area seemed cold, he pushed down the chills, hid all of the other dresses and matching coats, and went through the closet back to the main area of his room. The chosen clothing in his hands. The cold moved with him, settling in the pit of his stomach, and he sat the dress and matching coat down on one of the two seats sitting by the fireplace. A hot shower would be nice to get rid of the cold…

--

Quickly, he moved away and went about finding an outfit for himself for once he finished. Tauekel went about finding pants first, going with simple black dress ones of woolen velvet. Out of a different drawer, he took a pair of red gloves that wouldn’t restrict the movement of his fingers out, lined with mismatched fur of black, brown, and ginger at the opening. Then, he found his way back into the closet, this time staying close to the front. He ended up picking out a matching woolen velvet, black dress shirt. And as a top layer, he chose a red suit jacket lined with black, brown, and ginger fur similar to a tabby pattern on the inside. Instead of the average collar of the jacket, it was also lined with the same tabby fur.

--

He moved out of the closet and set the clothing on the other chair near the fireplace. Tauekel had never liked taking his clothes into his bathroom with him for after a shower, much of what he wore was made of materials where a hot shower would only ruin the quality. And the quality of his clothing was important, because it would reflect on him. And with his rank, and his livelihood, that was important. To be seen as put together. To be seen as better. Especially as a Utalea, where the other clans were more likely to have bias against them. More likely to automatically see him as reckless.

--

Without a word, still being thoughtful to the one asleep in his bed, he moved into the bathroom to take that hot shower. The bathroom itself was just as warmly colored as his room. The tiles being a marbled brown and orange, the walls a warm off-white, the marbled counters of red… The warm colors were inviting, welcoming, and cozy. A theme he much preferred compared to the lonely, hidden corner of dresses in his closet that hadn’t been looked at except to keep them in prime condition… In centuries.

--

He took a breath, and started the water for his shower so it could heat up. Gold and black, instead of the silver and white of most showers. Everything here was warmer. Even the lights in every room of his house were warmer in color than most, and his bathroom was no exception. The lights casted the room into a cozy glow, a warm light. Most of the cold remaining from his earlier mood in the closet was squashed by the surrounding warmth. Just as it was supposed to happen. Just as it was supposed to be.

--

When he was finally ready to get into the shower, he stepped in with ease, the heat easily washing away the last few crystals of ice trying to form. Burn the glacier, burn the past. And breathe. He had things in the present that required his attention. Required his focus. Required him to be calm and controlled. He couldn’t let his underlings down. He certainly couldn’t let his daughters down.

--

Pushing those thoughts away, he simply stood in the hot water, allowing the heat to clear away the ice. Slowly, he moved about actually showering. The steam began to cloud any reflective surface, and it fogged his mind enough to keep the cold at bay as he went about the chore. It was nice, it was good. Warmth was good.

The young man lay content in the warm bed. The warmth feeling good against his body. The bed was so damn comfortable, and he buried himself into the pillows more. The scent of rosewood and roses filling his nose. And that's when his pale eyes fluttered softly - their blue color even more hypnotizing when they were tired. They slowly looked around the room and noticed the beautiful woodwork and accessories. A soft hum of appreciation came from him as he slowly yawned, and that's when they realized their hair was visible, cursed bonnet , they thought as they noticed the bonnet on the nightstand beside the bed. That's when he noticed two things , he wasn't exactly wearing clothing and that he was in a rather nice house. He was surprised the man hadn't kicked him out - maybe he had charmed him enough to stay? He twirled a strand of hair at the thought, he might as well not overstay his welcome. After all things like this usually just lasted for a night, and so he got out the bed - stealing a bedsheet to wrap around himself, after all he couldn't be walking around indecently . Because this was Taukuel's house, right?

He noticed the fireplace, and gently kneeled to take in the fragrant scent of the wood, and that's when he noticed two outfits. One was near a closed door and the other was on the second seat near the fireplace. His hands traced along the outline of the suit and admired the colors, and that's when he noticed the dress. And he tilted their head a bit, had they seduced a married man? Now, they enjoyed having a pleasurable night as much as the next person but, if it was one thing they weren't : it was a homewrecker. That's when they noticed their clothes neatly folded in the chair with the new outfit. Wait, was the outfit for them? No, that would be absurd. Or would it? They were curious as to if the beautiful dress really was for them. They poked out their lip, a pensive expression on his face and so he decided to look at the room more, the sheet dragging behind them as they did - hoping that Tauekel didn't think him uncouth for doing such a silly thing. It wasn't a big deal, not that it mattered but it did to him. It was such a silly thing to worry about.

Don't be foolish Joaquin. People just want you for your power and body - you'll just end up a common whore if you continue following this path. He could hear the stinging words of his mother say and he gripped the sheet closer and more tightly to his body at the memory of his mother telling him that. Slowly he wiped the tear away and resolved to not do that again. Most importantly he was never going to cry over a man, ever again. But as he looked around this place, he had an odd feeling that this was different ... that he would actually be cared for and loved here. Was that such a silly thing to ponder. He noted a full length mirror in the room and he took in his form, hmm, he had assortments of love bites along his body and nail scratches on his back. He held a soft hand to his face and tilted his head to the right to admire the look - wild and untamed curls that rested just below his elbows, what had been described by a former lover as "puppy dog" or "doe eyes" that seem to just cause infatuation. Maybe it would've been better if he'd been turn into a Shune rather than a Ducanio, oh well, it wasn't a time for melancholy - he wondered where his host was, and he looked at the sheet, hm, he could at least be decent when seeing him. He had showered last night, but being extra clean could do no harm. He slowly walked over to what he presumed to be the restroom door and opened the door - expecting it to be empty. But it in fact was not empty.

His eyes widened in embarrassment as he noted that Tauekel was showering in bathroom. He was so shocked that he couldn't help but notice his features. Because of the steam, most of Taukel's body was obscured - but he could still make out the handsome features of the man, and he wouldn't be lying that even in a shower he looked attractive . If he could've blushed, he would , but you know being undead and all - instead he opted to slam the door in an embarrassed manner and cover his face in embarrassment. Good Goddess Above, he exclaimed in his mind as he thought of the man before him. He could feel his embarrassment grow - he opened the door back slowly, a shy and embarrassed expression on his face, " Sorry, didn't mean to walk in on you, I didn't realize this restroom was in use. " he said a bit awkwardly as he held the sheets closer to him .

"Uhm- were those clothes out there for me? Because if they're for me - they're beautiful and I honestly don't know what to say, but thank you. " he was trying his best to maintain eye contact with the male but his eyes would linger elsewhere and he gave an apologetic smile , but he couldn't help it the male was absolutely tantalizing to look at . And he saw where he had left his own mark on the guy with his nails and some bite marks of his own . And he could fell himself rubbing the back of his neck while trying to avoid looking like he was desperate. And he felt the embarrassment return at the state of his dress. And he groaned inwardly, he must think I'm some country bumpkin that doesn't know how to treat nice things. And he began picking at his nails, a nervous habit of his as he shyly looked at his host.
