Yeah, dosent help that it was the sound of my door opening followed by a dark humanoid figure walking by my bed clear as day, my room is dark but still bright enough for me to see the outlines of things plus I can see if my door opens and it did not, it seriously also dosent help that due to medication I've gone mostly deaf in one ear and that is the ear that happens to be facing the door

The silence hang in the air as the cold wind echoed through the forest. The grey blurs running past him until - just a nightmare they has been coming much more regularly and they weren't sure why maybe becuase of the war or was something coming. The birds on his window as the sun shined upon him told him enough about the time and he forced himself to relax. They where lucky nothing had broken in his room or the house was very common actually as his powers linked to his emotions. The smell of a fresh autumn forest filled their nose and he decided it was time to eat and see what this day brang forward hopefully nothing bad they could only hope.

Amy Dagon|18|Dark|Demon|She/Her|M: Samuel/Open

Amy has just woken up and thought she would make some breakfast. She walked towards the kitchen and made some bacon plus biscuits. Amy headed toward Samuel's bedroom and knocked on the door. She said "Wake up breakfast is ready!" She didn't really care to much about when Samuel woke up but figured it would be better to wake him up now. Amy walked back down stairs and turned on the news. Apparently there was a animal attack but it seemed to be vampire marks which wasn't out of normal but she didn't care much. She headed towards the couch and sat down not in the mood now for food.

Diana had woken up from a nightmare she has had for a long time. She looked around to see she was near home but didn't want to stay close to long. She decided to go for a swim and left while she was swimming she noticed a dolphin stuck in some fishing line. She swam over to help the dolphin which she got free before leaving she petted it. Diana smiled and continued on before reaching land. She got out of the water and went for a walk to a park. Once she had reached the park she sat down on a bench and breathed in fresh air.

Maya Harrison | 19 | She/Her | Dark | Theranthropy | M: Open

Maya took a few steps back and forth, her hands tucked behind her back. She was restless, itching for something, what it was she could hardly tell. If she could tell at all. Her warm brown eyes flicked from side to side, scanning the shadows of the wind blown trees and foliage.

It was a haunting whistle that tore through, something that seemed almost... forlorn. But Maya enjoyed it. She loved the haunting whistle that blew through the rustling leaves of the trees. It hid the sound of her own deep unease. She made her way forward, taking a moment to look around before shifting and letting her thick paws hit the forest floor. Couldn't hurt at least? No. Couldn't hurt at all.

She made her way through the forest, head held high, as if she was waiting for something to happen. Her brown pelt rippling with the breeze as the dappled sunshine filtered down on her mottled pelt. The white patches easily reflected the sunlight while the brown soaked in the golden rays. It was evident she wasn't really trying to hide or anything of the sort, rather just wandering around without a care in the world.

Of course that was how she worked. Maya took in a few deep breaths, letting the earthy scent of dirt and the smell of flowers, leaves fill her nose. As well as the smell of other creatures. Creatures that made the mistake to be nearby.

Maya's lip curled just slightly in a faint grin. Perfect.

Vincenzo Q. Ellis (Vinnie) | 21 | He/Him | Neutral | Merfolk Prince | M: Diana (ind.)

Empty.

Once again, the palace was empty. Empty and grey. It was a bit forlorn and the prince knew it very well. If there was one species that had been ill-prepared for the war, it had been merfolk. Granted, the Sirens weren't exactly helpful in that sense. He held a deep resentment for them but he wasn't about to go out to subject them to vengeance. Vinnie wasn't exactly the greatest fighter in the world.

A slow sigh escaped his lips, sending bubbles drifting upward and fizzling out. He slid through the water, tail moving slowly to propel him forward just enough to get to the palace doors. His pale hand rested on the side before he let out a lonely little sigh.

His jaded green eyes flicked from side to side before he slid out of the empty palace, drifting over the ruined remains of a coral town and up toward the surface. Food was a little more scarce. Which was why he usually scoured the beach front for the little shops and bought food. It wasn't exactly the most healthy of all foods but it was enough to keep him alive for now.

He drew himself up onto the beach, under the boardwalk above his head as he eventually let his tail fade into his legs. His jeans hardly covered how thin his legs actually were. Thankfully he hid his thinness under a thicker jacket as he made his way toward the beach front.

Faintly, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted someone who wandered up from the ocean and his jaded eyes narrowed in suspicion.

Judging by their clothing?

They weren't out for a swim.

Vinnie's heart took a quick leap, turning away to hurry the other direction. Nope. Nope. He wasn't about to get involved there. No thanks. He definitely wasn't about to try and go tangling with a Siren.

Vinnie let out a weary sound, rubbing his face as he made his way over the wooden boards. Each footstep echoed in his ears, as did the hammering of his heart against his rib cage. Just food. Just food, that was all he needed. Food.

Ileum | 19 | She/Her | Light | Angel | M: Silver (ind.)

Oh yes. School mornings. Her favorite.

Ileum rolled onto her side, a grumbling breath escaping from her lips as she finally sat up, leaving featherings spluttering around the bedding. One graceful hand stretched out, slapping the top of the clock to turn the alarm off until the next day. After that? She finally sat up and let out a mumbling huff.

She slid out of bed, knocked on Silver's door briefly before heading into the bathroom. Meticulous. Her looks were always meticulous. The dark hair curled just faintly to perfection, the faint blue hint around her eyes matching her eyeliner and mascara, the lipstick, her contour, all perfect before she slid in her silver earrings, clipped the loop to the tip of her ear and slid on her single ring.

It wasn't exactly easy being the single provider but Ileum did what she could. She made her way out, heading into the little apartment kitchen. Powerful wings and a tiny living space? Not great. But somehow they made it work.

The woman let out a breathless huff and shook her head. Great.

Out of milk? That was always ... comforting. She leaned back and rubbed her face. Lovely. Absolutely great. This was fine. This was totally fine.

"Hey Silv," Ileum called out. "There's some bagels on the counter. I got to run out and get some groceries. Have fun at school," she snagged the apartment keys and sighed. So much fun.

Hooray.

Ileum slid out the door and locked it behind her, making her way to the balcony of the apartment building and leaping up into the sky with vibrant blue wings glittering in the sunlight. The headwind definitely wasn't great, working against her but hopefully it would turn into a tail wind coming back which meant she wouldn't have to carry the groceries that long. Not that it phased her too much but it would at least make it easier.

Her glittering sapphire eyes scanned the land below, watching for danger or anyone that could pose a potential threat. Yeah, that was what she was out here for.

That was what was important.

No. Groceries.

Ileum winced. Right. Groceries. Responsibility. Her nose wrinkled in distaste.

Faye Dupont-Kim | 25 | She/Her | No Mentions

The smell of coffee was more than enough to make Faye’s early-morning wakeup much more pleasant. She was never particularly fond of mornings, but catching the sunrise on a walk and spending her morning writing in a cafe did make it much better. She was seated contentedly by the cafe window, latte in one hand and her laptop sat on the table in front of her. She had been working on her current project for several months, and this town had been a fine enough place to stay while working on it.

Her dark eyes flicked around at the street in front of her, just watching the world go by as she sat there. She wore a thick, maroon sweater over a black pleated skirt, thigh-high black socks, and boots. A comfortable, cozy outfit for a comfortable, cozy morning. The cafe around her was bustling and busy, full of people starting their mornings and desperate for caffeine before they went off to work.

She watched the chaos for a few minutes before she donned a pair of headphones and returned to her computer, fingers clicking away on the keys at a rapid pace. She worked quickly, inspiration flowing easily through her fingers as she typed out the ending of a chapter. Her editor expected it by the end of the day, and she intended to have it finished by the time her coffee was gone.

It was rather a lot of work, but it was work that she adored. Music blared in her ears, and she fully zoned into her project. It held her focus for a few tracks, until she came aware of her phone buzzing. Her eyes narrowed at the screen as she picked it up. The screen read ‘Maman & Papa’. She glared at her screen for a few moments as the ring cycle repeated itself. She frowned. A heavy sigh slipped past her lips as she muted the ringing and slipped it back into her bag.

“I didn’t hear you call,” She muttered to herself. “Nope. Headphones in, too busy working the job you hate. I didn’t hear a thing.”

She turned back to her laptop, tapped a few more keys, then stopped. She deleted it, then tried again. Stopped. Deleted. Again. Stopped. Deleted. She stared at the laptop screen for a moment. Then she closed it. She slipped it back into her bag, threw away her half-empty coffee, and left the shop. She cursed under her breath, utilizing a variety of colorful words in a mix of languages. That was the end of her morning.

Joel Yorick [] 489 [] He/Him [] Neutral [] M: Open

The red sun. A glorious sunrise burned brightly through the parlor, a quaint place more office than living room. Ashes scattered about sporadically, empty coffee mugs here and there, and one to many inkless pens. In the center of the mess was a man... A rather irritated man. His hair bedraggled, eyes wild and bleary, his skin mildly paled, and his beard slightly unkempt, it was clear the man lacked sleep or proper self care... To preoccupied with what lay before him.

He grumbled to himself, his bloodshot eyes narrowed dangerously at a series of symbols scrawled upon a sheet of paper. Runes. This had to be the what, hundred and seventy Something-th...?

He rubbed his bleary eyes, trying to chase the sleep away. He took a pen from his hand and began to chew on it thoughtfully, before him was a Rune Seal. A very complicated rune seal. For weeks he has been working on this particular seal, the idea for its creation having came to him in a dream... Him, teleporting like the Demons do. The possibilities were endless!

... And yet he was getting no where, a miscalculation here, to much magic there. Regardless, he believed he was close. On the verge of a break-through with his magics! He took the pen from his mouth, and scribbled a few more symbols upon the paper. Strange swirls, dots, and several characters of different languages.

He worked for several minutes before there was a sharp knock on his door. His head snapped up in surprise, his working rhythm broken.

"Who is it?", he asked tersley.

"It's Price. Open the door, this is urgent!", the voice replied in a hurried manner.

The man, Joel, sighed. Placing down his paper, and grabbing a mug on the floor next to him. He brought it to his lips only to scowl. Empty. Passing a counter, he set down the empty coffee mug with a look of ire, before heading towards the door and opening it.

Before him was another man, an official looking gentleman with well groomed hair, pressed pants, and a badge. In his hand was a steaming coffee from a local Cafe, and in the other a folder of some sort. Caligula Price. A rather unfortunate man born a Magic User with very little ability for magic, he was practically nothing more than a Mundane aside from his prolonged lifespan, and only at the age of seventy it wasn't very impressive. Still, he fit in with local police forces... The perfect eyes and ears for Magic Users who kept the Peace.

"You look awful", Price said bluntly.

Joel just 'Hmmed' in response, "I believe this isn't some sort of social call?".

Price simply nodded. Joel waved the other man into his apartment, before turning away as his visitor shut the door behind them. Joel strode quietly, seeming to ignore his company as both men walked along through the rather messy living room towards the kitchen.

"... What's with all this?", asked Price as he pointed towards the piles of ash.

"Just an experiment...", Joel answered concisely.

They entered the kitchen. Joel pulled out a container of what seemed to be Folger's coffee from the cabinet, opening it only to frown. His expression grew and with an unexpected spark, the shadows seemed to grow slightly as the light seemed to be sucked away from the kitchen.

Price only snorted at the Magic User's behavior, before handing Joel his coffee. "... You are so dramatic, you addict", he muttered.

The light seemed to return in full force once Joel sipped the caffeinated beverage, returning the pointed words with a glare. Not that there was any malice with in it, it wasn't a lie after all. "So, what have you brought me today?", Joel asked.

Price set the folder he had in his arms upon the counter, opening it up to present several grisly photographs.

'Christ', was Joel's immediate thought. "Another dead Mundane... Poor kid", he said grimly.

"Sixth one this month, it can't be a coincidence. Not anymore", Price said.

Joel said nothing, inspecting the photos. There was numerous lacerations on the body, poor kid was riddled with holes. The Mundanes labled it an animal attack. Still, he eyes narrowed upon the neck.

A single bite. Small, miniscule compared to the rest of the damage done to the body, but it was enough. The prominently pronounced fangs always left their signature after a bite. It's always bloody Vampires, no self control.

Joel could only groan to himself. '...And I thought I could have a day off'..

"You said there was six other victims? Do they all have this?", he asked pointing out the bite on the neck.

Price merely scoffed, "Of course, if it was just a wild animal I would have left it to the Mundanes. You know the drill...".

Joel nodded, before taking another sip of the coffee. It emptied soon enough, he set it on the table. "... That was pretty good, where'd you get that anyway?".

"A little Cafe down the corner, you really need to get out more. I mean, look out your window and you'd have seen it", Price said with a deadpan. Joel rolled his eyes as he left the kitchen, Price following right behind. They stopped at the door, with Joel opening it.

"You might want to be begin you search at the City Park. It's where the body was recovered...", Price said. Joel nodded in understanding before handing Price's file back. "...Keep it, there is more information in there we didn't discuss. It might be useful".

"Thanks. I will look into it immediately", Joel said. Both men nodded before parting ways, with Joel closing the door behind him with a groan. Seriously? Now, of all times? Joel walked back into his dirtied living room, and picked up his abandoned rune seal from the floor.

'Maybe next time?', he thought to himself as he set the rune seal on a coffee table. With a clap of his hands, a gentle breeze swept in from nowhere in particular and gathered the ash in a single pile before seemingly levitating the pile in the air and into the waste bin. Magic was a blessing.

Joel gathered his equipment quickly, there was no time to waste. He threw on his coat, fixed his hair, grabbed a rune scroll or two, and was out the door in less than a minute. He set out, a course set. He'd investigate the park first.

[... Is it fine if we use NCPs? I mean, I did. I don't really intend for him to show up again, unless we'd like a simple police like character popping up now and again.]

[I hate starting RPs, the first post is always ridiculously long so I can establish my character and what they are going to do... At least for the beginning of the story. Ugh. Do not expect me to write another one thousand seventeen words again.】

He walks off the old town his fluffy white wings curled around his frame to keep him warm, a bright smile seen plastered on his face skipping once or twice down the path. A soft humming coming from his lips his hands fiddling with themselves selfs+ "It's quiet today...I like it"

+Stopping by a small cafe he orders a steaming warm hot chocolate scanning the store as he waits, letting a soft sweet sigh leave his lips when his coffee is finally ready and he brings it to his light pink lips. Closing his eyes he enjoys the taste on his tongue, his wings ruffling with relaxation, opening them once more when the bell of the small cafe rings once again+
