Third Person The morning was peaceful and the sun was just about to rise, Frosty and Ghost were asleep in their den. The cave they lived in was a top of a mountain overlooking a lake surrounded by timber that turned into plains. The plains were full of prey, luckily they shared it with a pack of wolves to help keep the population down. Horses and American buffalo cover the plains all year round, but the deer were harder to find during the winter. The two dragons started to wake up stirring as the sun rose. Ghost started to grumble in annoyance due to waking up earlier than he would prefer. Frosty's Pov - 1st Person I woke up to Ghost grumbling, I felt him shift and start to get up forcing me to wake up. Then it was my turn to grumble in annoyance, but I just pelt his nose touch mine as a morning greeting. I did a loving hum in response, most mornings we didn’t talk to each other. It was mostly gestures and sounds, we had our routines. He would go off and patrol or hunt if it was time to hunt again, while I would keep the cave tidy along with going around the territory to find anything and receive offerings from the humans. We had a cave lower to the ground for the offerings, most are for me since I am more friendly and more accepting, but Ghost won't accept any. After Ghost left for patrol went down to the lake to preen and clean myself under the falls that fed the lake. The water was warm due to the hot spring that fed it. It was nice as I sat under the waterfall, letting the pressure take away my loose and shedding scales. |
