You aren't even descended from my favorite two ever mist wolves. Yet you look so much like them, minus a few splotches.

Fire alpaca is pretty good, so I do have to agree there, but i suppose everything has to do with tastes, medibang is extremely similar to fire alpaca but i prefer it over fire alpaca, so I'd highly recommend trying out every free program that seems interesting to you and see how it feels and works best for you tbh. It's harder to do that with paid programs but I know clip and sai have demos at the very least

Lots of professionals like to use Clip Studio but personally my boyfriend has had nothing but problems with it...

I know friends of mine like Fire Alpaca. If you have access to an iPad go for Procreate. It's a one time $10 payment with pretty professional quality and super user friendly

Depending on what your looking for, like rageing stormz said, krita, medibang, and fire alpaca are fairly good free programs, but for paid programs I'd recommend something like clip paint studio or paint tool sai, from my experience with digital art programs. Clip studio paint has to be my favorite program out of them all though and it goes on sale rather often.

But yeah I'd recommend looking it up on Google and seeing what looks the best

Hmmm
I would have to Google computer art programs since I don't know those as well XD

I know ones like photo shop are gonna pop up

But that's kind of expensive XD

But if you mean things like toyhouse or deviant art

That's about all I know

Although deviant art doesn't have the greatest reputation

This is my first time drawing digitally. I just used a free drawing app on my old kindle and drew with my fingers.
I was attempting to make a cute picture of my oc Mack, a wolf-mako shark thingamajig.
Any thoughts on what I did good vs bad, constructive criticism, etc. would be very welcome.

I think it's a very bold choice going for a lineless piece as your first digital drawing.

Overall it looks wonderful, though it is difficult to tell what the background is. I would suggest trying to define details like this a little more, but I'm not much of a background artist. As for the character itself, it's absolutely adorable! I don't really have any notes for the character. <3

^^ I agree. I think starting with some defined lineart would be the way to go. Trying to make things stand out and be obvious as to what it is can be very hard with lineless art. If you were to start with lineart, you could practice shapes and poses, moving onto colour then lineless it within your grasp!

Oh sorry, to add one as well.
I'm not sure what program you're using or what device. I find Procreate a really good option - my favourite actually. I used to use Medibang though and I think there is a free version, I really enjoyed this program when I first started out. Things like photoshop, clip studio paint etc are overwhelming sometimes
