Background: Bluejay comes from a small little town in Maine, he was born and raised there. After graduating highschool, he has headed off to college on a scholarship. His dream job is a photographer, though he'd settle as an art major if need be. He's openly gay now, though was outed and bullied pretty heavily in middle school for it.

Family: His mom is named Crystal, his father was Charles. He passed away when Jay was around 10 years old in a drunk driving accident. His father was the drunk. He has no siblings or other family, it's simply him and his mom. As for his mom, she's a waitress at Denny's. She tries her best, and Jay has never gone hungry. They are poor, but make due.

Standing at 5’11 the man would be considered just a bit above average in height. Pale skin covers his lean body, never seeming to burn nor tan no matter how much time he spends out in the sun.

Eli’s clean-shaven face appears to have a diamond shape with a defined jawline and a straight, ever so slightly upturned nose. His eyebrows are thin with a light brown color while his lashes are rather long and hold a dark black shade. The young man’s hooded eyes with their emerald gaze is what most people notice first about him. Under the left one of said eyes, Eli has a small beauty mark.

Dark brown locks cover the young man’s scalp, left parted and medium in length. It's slightly wavy and often hangs down in front of his face but on rare occasions he does go for a more neat hairstyle and then his hair is often swept back. Eli’s hair is something he rarely spends too much time on though, often letting it become far too long between each cut and not ever bothering with much of any upkeep.

When it comes to scarring, Eli doesn't have as much as some others might have, but he has enough. The most obvious is the one running straight across his nose which he received a few years back during his younger teen years and it has slowly started to lighten in color. Apart from that, there's a few scars spread out across his body from all types of things. The man seems to bruise very easily and sometimes bumping into a table a little too roughly can be enough to cause a bruise.

As for clothing, Eli doesn't care too much, dressing in whatever he finds laying in his dresser which most commonly seems to be some type of dress shirt, which he leaves unbuttoned at the top for a more casual look, and some darker colored pants, usually dress pants or jeans.

He also has a couple of piercings in his ears and one in his tongue, apart from that there is also a tattoo on his upper back, some text going down his spine and a snake on his left shoulder blade.

~Personality~

Eli can be very nice and friendly and he is, as long as you fit his image that is. Eli is really quite an awful person to those he doesn't think fit in and he would barely spare them a glance, which might be for the best honestly as he is not afraid to speak his mind about what he thinks, even when he knows it could hurt people.

The young man would never do anything for the profit of anyone but himself and he can honestly be quite manipulative in order to get what he wants. The only exception to where he would actually talk or be nice to someone who he deems weird or an outsider, is if he could gain something from it. He's a master at using his words, masking his selfish actions easily.

When it comes to anger, Eli is still working on controlling that, when he gets angry, he gets angry, it's like an explosion and depending on the situation he'll either attack with the most horrible and hurtful insults, using anything he knows about you, or he'll get violent, and when he does, there is nothing to stop him other than having to forcefully pull him off the other person. Luckily though, he is making progress with controlling it and while he can get annoyed quite easily, it does take quite a lot to actually piss him off.

When it comes to love, Eli is a tricky person. He often refuses to let himself get so close to another person that he starts to develop these feelings and if he does, then he also does his best to remove himself from the situation, leaving behind whatever he had to get away and try to forget those feelings quickly because when he falls in love, he falls hard. He would do anything for the person he loves and they are also the only one who will see the true him when he doesn't feel the need to uphold some sort of image.

~Background~

Eli has always had a rocky relationship with his parents and being the youngest of three, he would always get compared to his siblings. His family has always been very rich and successful so the expectations for Elliot were always high.

For a while he did try living up to these expectations but it didn't take long for him to grow tired and disinterested in it all so instead he started acting up and going against his parents, acting up and causing trouble whenever he could, something which only got worse with the years.

As a last resort his parents sent him to a prestigious college in the hopes that he would settle down and do something other than cause trouble but so far there hasn't really been any luck.

Bluejay lifted his head, quietly looking over the large buildings and metal gates, eyeing the arch that had the college named carved into the metal. He chewed his lip nervously, feeling the cab pull off to the side so he could get out. "Thank you," He said, reaching forward to pay the man before stepping out, slinging his bag over his shoulder before rolling his suit case after him as he approached the gates.

It was still pretty early, around 9am, as the morning sun shone off his own golden hair. He took one final deep breath before moving off down the path towards the main office. He still needed to pick up his class schedules, dorm keys, and honestly? Probably a map due to how large this place was.

Sadly the campus was buzzing with people moving, unpacking, and just getting in the way. He hated, no, loathed, crowds. It spiked his anxiety even worse than moving to a new state, with new people, and a new school. He followed the main path leading to the larger building, double checking the sign that read "Main office" before pulling the door open.

An older lady, with grey hair pulled back into a bun, looked up from her computer. "Hello, what can I do for you?" She asked, getting ready to type as Jay approached her. "Hi, My name is Bluejay Colburn, I'm here to pick up my class schedule and dorm key," He answered with a nod, listening to the, only slightly, annoying tapping from the keys as she pulled him up in the system.

It was a minute before she spoke, giving a soft smile. "Ah, found ya! Okay," She said turning herself and moving towards a stack of papers. She pulled out brown envlope before moving back over, holding it out towards him. "Inside is your classes, a map, contact numbers for campus security and the main office, and here," She said moving to hold out a dorm key. "Your dorm key, room 150, you do have a roommate, I'm not sure if he's in there or not though." She said, offering a small smile.

Jay took everything, listening quietly as he wrote down 150 with the pen from the desk on the back of his head. "Thank you," He said, dipping his head slightly before turning and heading back out the front of the doors, heading to the main dorm room. From his research, there was two dorm buildings on campus. One on each side of the school, actually. He was in the one closest to the buildings that have the classes, thank god. Though he was on the top floor, the 3rd floor, really. He huffed softly as he headed for the main dorm building now.

Elliot had already arrived the day before, it was nice to get situated before all the new students started storming in and running all over the place. Getting his stuff in order hadn't been particularly hard though, he had the same room as the year before so everything already had its place in the dorm room.

Currently the man was laying on his bed, reading a book while he had music playing in the background. He knew, much to his dismay, that he had a roommate coming soon. The years before he had also had a roommate but after just a few weeks, that guy had decided to switch schools, something Eli definitely had nothing to do with. If he didn't like this new roommate then maybe he would just have to make sure they also left? Didn't seem like something that should be too hard.

Yet another year stuck in this hell hole, just great. Sure, he had some good friends here but the classes would bore you to death and they were barely allowed to leave the premises, having an insanely early curfew even during the weekends, unless of course you’d decide to go home over the weekend but why the hell would you want that? Eli sure didn't at least, while this place was just above an actual prison, he would go absolutely insane if he had to be home with his parents.

Suddenly the young man's phone started ringing and with a low groan, he put his book down and grabbed his phone instead to see who it could be.

After reading the name of his girlfriend, he let out another, more audible groan before picking up.

“Hey babe,” he answered as he stood up, walking over to one of the windows and leaning against it slightly, peering down at the other students that were running around left and right, trying to find their way around the school grounds.

“No, I haven't met him yet. Just really hoping it won't be some weird loser like last year,” he answered, his tone disinterested as he continued watching the people below as they ran around like ants. Anything was more interesting than talking to Victoria really. He couldn't even count the amount of times he'd debated on breaking up with her but in the end he never did, there wasn't really anything wrong with her per say, he just really didn't love her, hell he barely liked her but she was a pretty face and nice enough so she would have to do, it wasn't like he had the energy to find someone else, and no one else really ever caught his attention anyway.

Their conversation continued with Victoria blabbering on about the things going on in her life while Elliot continued his people watching, now sitting on the windowsill while occasionally throwing in a short answer here and there to seem somewhat interested in what she was saying, despite barely listening.

Jay lifted his head, double checking he had the correct building before taking in a deep breath. *I've got this,* he thought quietly as he stepped into the building, looking around the lobby. It was pretty normal, a few lounge chairs, a TV off to one side, and a front desk. Made sense, at least to himself.

He eyed both the stairs and elevator for a minute before stepping up, hitting the up button, and waiting for the doors to roll open. Thankfully there wasn't anyone else, he hated cramped spaces like this worse when other people were in them. Reaching forward to press the "3rd floor" button, he leaned back against the wall to wait, watching the doors roll shut once more.

As he went up, he watched the lights switch from one to two and to three....his floor. He knew he had a roommate, the lady just confirmed it at the front desk also. He let out a small breath before eyeing the doors, stopping when he reached 150. Should he knock? I mean, he had a key so what if he just used that? Would it be weird?

*Fuck it,* he thought as he pushed the key in and turned the know, moving to step inside the room "hello?" He spoke as his blue hues scanned the room, eyes landing on a male on the phone. He paused just slightly and fell silent when he noticed the phone, standing awkwardly in the door way before moving to shut it.

“Hello?”

The sound of another voice filling the room moved Eli’s attention away from the people on campus and made him turn around, resting against the windowsill as he took a moment to examine the new person who stood awkwardly by the door.

A short and skinny guy with blond hair and some stunning blue eyes, not really a sight one could complain much about. Wait what? What was he thinking? It was a guy. Oh for fuck sake.

“Vic darling? I’ll call you later okay? Bye love,” Eli said, barely waiting for Victoria to answer before hanging up, knowing full well he wouldn't call her later, or he would but not as in later that day, more like later that week, although she would probably be calling him way before that. It was just so exhausting listening to her blabber on about whatever “problems” she had going on constantly, he didn't care, but he had to pretend to and he hated it.

After slipping his phone back into his pocket, he looked back over at the new guy who had made his presence in the room. He looked the male up and down, the hint of a frown briefly flickering across his face before he masked the judgment with a brief and very slight smile. There was nothing wrong with the new guy's looks but his clothes made something quite obvious, this guy was most likely far from well-off, unless he chose to dress that way willingly but why?

“And you are?” He finally asked after a moment of silence between the two, still studying the other, gaze set on the stranger, watching his body language. While Eli’s facial expression remained neutral and his tone somewhat friendly, there was a hint of judgment in his eyes.

Jay had been doing his own studying, looking over the male leaning against the windowsill with a quiet sigh. The brown hair and green eyes sure did stand out against his own blond and blue color combo. There had always been something interesting to him about green eyes- the last guy he was with had them, too.

Jay hadn't been with many guys, only two. Though, he's only been....active...with one. The last one. He mind and memories briefly went back to him and he didn't realize he was staring until he heard the voice of him hanging up; another reason he had fallen silent. After seeing him on the phone, he didn't want to disturb their conversation.

He offered a smile when the guy turned to look at him, that smile slowly falling when he looked him up and own with a frown. What was that about? Out of reflex, he looked down at what he was wearing. Blue jeans and a black t-shirt, what was wrong with that? It was simple. Easy.

He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, clearly uncomfortable. He felt like he had a microscope on him. He swallowed thickly before softly saying. "I'm Bluejay," And moving forward to offer a hand shake. "I'm your roommate," He added, voice soft, still unsure now with this male. Why'd he look at him like that? With....judgement? Oh god, he didn't even know he was gay yet and he was already being judged? He bit his lip, turning his head away just enough to hide his gaze, not wanting to keep eye contact with this guy.

What was this man thinking? How bad was he actually judging him? Why had it been so easy for his mind to instantly start racing with the thoughts that he already didn't like him? He hadn't don't anything to upset him....right? Maybe he should have knocked first.

Eli wouldn't lie, he did enjoy it a bit to see the other guy twisting uncomfortably under his gaze, what he didn't enjoy was the fact that this loser seemed to be his new roommate.

"I'm Bluejay."

At this, Elliot raised an eyebrow slightly, seriously? Bluejay?

“Like the bird or what?” Slipped out of Elliot’s mouth in an almost mocking tone. Despite the question having been said out loud involuntarily, he didn't exactly regret it, it was a strange name in his opinion. He had told himself he would be giving this new roommate a chance, or rather, Victoria had made him promise to, but the new guy, or Bluejay, wasn't making it easy to be given a chance.

Elliot grinned slightly before glancing at the blond’s extended hand and shaking it, man did he have small hands, and quite soft also…

Pulling himself out of his thoughts, he cleared his throat slightly before introducing himself, “Ah maybe I should introduce myself as well, Elliot Dunn.”

Watching as the other guy bit his lip and turned his face away, Eli’s grin grew slightly and he leaned down slightly, moving himself into the male’s point of view as he continued holding his hand.

“Don't you know that it's impolite to look away when talking to someone?” He asked while looking into the other guy’s blue eyes. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad? He could definitely play somewhat nice for a few weeks and have fun toying with this freshman, with how boring everything else was here, it didn't seem like the worst pastime.

Jay sighed softly when he heard the male speak, a mocking tone at that. He should have expected it; almost everyone makes fun of his name. He understood, it was weird and not normal. He gave aint nod. "Yes, it's my moms favorite bird." He mumbled, giving off more information than this man needed. He didn't need to know that, but under his gaze, the nerves got to him.

When he felt the other grab his hand, he relaxed some and glanced at their hands, noting how much smaller his were. He gaze dragged up when he heard him speak again. He uickly grunted as he looked at him, redness creeping up his neck and to his cheeks. "I-I'm sorry," He said quietly, forcing himself to meet his gaze, though still uncomfortable with it.

Eye contact always freaked him out, he hated it more than most things. Why'd he have to do it? He never understood. He listened better when he didn't have to pretend to hold eye contact with another.

He focused quietly on that they were still holding hands, giving a soft huff as he went to let his hand go, "Um....which side of the room is mine?" He asked, glancing around to change the topic as he also took in the sight of the room. "Oh," He added looking back at the other "You don't have to call me my full name, you can call me Jay....It's what most people call me." He added
