The city was beautiful at night and extremely busy, unlike the daytime: blinding neon lights decorating the sky-high towers, drunken party-goers walking the sidewalks searching for bars or clubs to keep the night going, and different kinds of music blaring all around. It was the city of dreams for outsiders, a perfect paradise to get away from drama and let loose. In Len's eyes, they were naive. Foolish into believing that this city was a boisterous place to thrive in. Those that lived here for so many years said otherwise, desperately wanting to leave and seek something different. This place is a beauty to the eyes, but to the mind and soul, it'll corrupt you. It'll destroy you little by little. It will work you till you're dead.

So, why did Lennox come here if the city's reputation is horrible? For her, it's better than the previous occupation-a job she wished to forget. A pair of aqua-blue eyes fixated out the tinted windows, watching the crowd of night owls and garish lights pass by in a blur. She hears her boss' conversation in the background, catching a few of his words here and there. "It's a party, Rachel. Even if I meet up with that bastard," he pauses to smoke his cigar, "it's not like I can straight up shoot him." There was amusement in his voice with a small amount of seriousness; meanwhile, his iris' were inexplicably glowing. Len took notice of it, her vigilant eyes briefly staring at them. "The tech he has is up-to-date. Hmm," she stares back out the window of the flying car, "rich bastards always getting the new parts first while we have to get the hand-me-downs." She absentmindedly strokes her right cybernetic arm, slightly missing the sense of touch her old arms once offered her.

Len's eyes turn to her boss as he grabs a glass of champagne, making her tense up internally while keeping an expressionless face. Her boss is a fool, yet getting drunk makes him an utter idiot. Great, now she has to babysit him at the party with his rival there. She signed up to be a bodyguard. Not some rich man's babysitter, which honestly infuriates her. Still, with her displeasure, she kept her mouth shut to not anger her employer. She needed the money to get upgraded parts and move away from this cursed city. She can't bail on him now, especially when the pay is considerable. Len sighed internally, leaning back in her seat and closing her eyes. Only to open them again; this time, her eyes were illuminating. She uses her cybernetic eyes to hack the security cameras of the building hosting the party, flicking through each channel that enters her brain to check out potential threats to her boss. Quickly, she zooms in and out of the guests' faces using the cameras, surveying any familiar faces within the crowd.

All this was a force of habit, an instinct she developed while in the army. Her previous job was as a military woman, a scout, for a detailed role. While others face the enemies head-on, she gathers intel on the enemy's whereabouts and plans she comes across. Len hacks or sabotages their equipment to lower their prowess, even shutting down their cybernetic parts to disable them if the situation demands it. She disconnects her eyes and mind from the cameras, bringing her senses back to her physical form. "I don't see their face within the crowd, boss." Formerly addressing the man made her want to barf, hating that she had to show respect to a coward of a man. The man beside her nodded his head with a cheeky grin on his face, "Good. I arrived here first." Sounding like a child to Len's ears, pressing a button to order the vehicle to land close to the building. It does so, descending from the sky and going into hover mode.

The car parks outside the entryway, with Len climbing out first once the doors vertically open. Her eyes surveyed the crowd, using her tech eyes to gather information on the faces of the crowd gazing at them-taking in their names, ages, genders, occupations, and criminal records. Although, a few of their records were classified, indicating that they bribed their way out of trouble and kept their crimes hidden. This made her stomach twist in disgust; however, she remained calm before escorting her boss inside.

"I don't think you understand how important this event is. If we are late because of you, you'll never see the light of day again. "

Hearing those words, seemed to truly shake the driver to their core. Jaeger could see it. How their fingers shook on the steering wheel, the whitening of their knuckles, the shortness of breath. Did they truly fear for their own life? Did they believe that the man who sat behind them would take their life? It wouldn't surprise Jaeger if they did. Her superior always managed to find a way to terrify those who ranked below him. As much as Jaeger hated to admit it, he was a horrifying man. Standing beside him, the air would feel heavy, and without any warning, he could look at you for a split second, and the overwhelming feeling of panic and fear would set in almost instantly. Jaeger never dared to look him in the eyes, and to do this day, she refuses. Jaeger isn't afraid of this man, but she is afraid of what he is capable of.

Looking out the window, Jaeger watched the speeding lights pass by, drowning out the obnoxious honking of enraged drivers, the sirens off in the distance, the anonymous yells. From afar, this city is more than just gorgeous, it's almost perfect. With its tall towers towering over every other possible building within the tristate area, its gleaming lights glowing in the darkness. The way it glows when the sun reaches that certain spot in the sky, casting rays upon the building's backs. Away from the city, yes, it looks absolutely perfect. But once you step foot in, the smell of chemicals and disgusting fumes ruins it for many. Yet, it's so addicting. You can never truly hate the city. It's as if the city is always trying to find a way to beg you to stay, somehow, someway. If Jaeger had the chance, she'd bust ass and make her way away from this filthy city. However, unfortunately, she has no choice. No longer working in the military, who wants to employ an ex-murderer? No one. Except CEO's. CEOs always manage to make enemies one way or another, and so, they need protection. What CEO doesn't want an ex-murderer to guard them? And with Jaeger's military records, she fits the job almost perfectly.

----

With an abrupt stop, the man sitting beside Jaeger sighs heavily, and muttered something completely inaudible underneath his breath. He awaited impatiently for the driver to open his door, but as he waits, he notices the driver was not moving from their seat. Quickly and quietly, he glances into the rearview mirror, staring at the driver with an expressionless face. Jaeger could almost hear the driver swallowing their own saliva, rushing out of the hovering vehicle. They sped over towards the rear back door, and opened it quickly, and moving their hand outward as if saying, "come out." Maybe it is his first time? Jaeger questioned silently.

After the man made his way from the vehicle, Jaeger stepped out of the vehicle, standing beside the tall man. She felt small whenever she stood beside him. She was 5'5, and he was what.. 6'3? What sasquatch died and made him king of the sasquatches? "Jaeger, do you see them?" It took her barely a second to register who he was referring to, and she instantly looking around the crowd of people that swarmed the doors. In little seconds, she found her designated targets. Without looking towards the man, she nodded,"Yes, sir. They have just entered the building." Hearing him grunt uncomfortably, he cleared his throat, and sighed with displeasure. "Isn't that unfortunate. Well, I knew we'd be late, I had just wished they'd arrived after me." He sighed, "Alright then. I need to find my associates first, they should be inside already." He took a step forward, but stopped midstep. Jaeger could feel a hand softly brushing her cheek, she clenched her jaw immediately. He had chuckled softly underneath his breath. "Don't embarrass me. We don't need another situation like last time, do we?"

------

As they walked through the doors, Jaeger took a deep breath, and gritted her teeth. I hate parties.

Len's hues never settled in one place, her body tensed by the minute. Each time someone grew too close to comfort, she shoots them a deadly glare. When she felt someone touch her shoulder, she instinctively jumped. She was close to gut punching them, until she realized that it was her boss. Len's nerves decreased, yet was close to the edge. "You see them over there?" He takes another sip of champagne, with Lennox following his gaze. She examines the people he pointed out, only for her breath to hitch. That raven black hair that reminds her of the night sky, the lovely purple iris' that sends shivers down her spine, and lastly, a face that puts the devil to shame. She wanted to go over there and hug her outright. However, she remains in place, with a strong feeling of guilt coursing through her. She tugs a strand of her dyed black hair, resting to rip it out completely out of guilt.

She turns away, finding a couple oddly entertaining for her eyes. Len folds her arms behind her back. Squeezing her hands tightly together, feeling her blood circulation cut off in her palms. She kept herself steady, however, her insides were screaming at her. She was good at confrontation when it involves fighting (or killing) someone. With emotional events, she's confused as Hell. Uncertain how to approach such a sensitive event. Her boss didn't notice her discomfort-Len an expert when it comes to hiding how she feels is both a blessing and curse. "Yes. I do." Her voice was steady, but her mind and heart were racing. She turns to her boss, waiting to see what he'll do. She waits for her boss's orders, curious to what he'll do. "I'm going over there and confront the bastard." Hearing that, she felt her heart drop and go still. She can't approach them. Jeager would be furious. Rabid, even.

She can't see her. Not now. Not ever. She seen what Jeager can do when she's berserk. In that tiny figurine was a beast desiring release. Lennox side-eyes her boss, trying to figure out what to say or do to drag him someplace private. She hates gaining attention from undesired strangers. Her boss acting like a fool would have eyes all over them. Ugh, she would have to resist to gouge out. She grinds her teeth together-trying to form a plan. Luckily, fate was on her side tonight as her boss got distracted by one of his associates. Len breathed a sigh of relief, turning her focus back to Jeager and her possible employer. Hopefully employer and not a lover. Her teeth clenched tighter, hating the thought of Jeager with someone else. Ugh, she hates feeling like this. It makes her miserable. She hates feeling like this.

"Lennox, come along. I have a friend to meet up with." Her boss said, with Len resisting urge to roll her eyes. She follows after her employer as he heads into a room, her eyes observing the crowd of people. Hoping to spot Jeager in the crowd. Desperately, she surveys the area for her beloved. . .friend. Yes. Extremely good friends. Len rakes her fingers through her mixed color hair, muttering a few words to herself. She halts in her steps when her boss suddenly stopped, then begins to shout at someone. Len shoves her way to the front, pushing her boss behind her to protect him. "Watch it!" She snaps, only for her to freeze in place when a face of her past was right there.

As her Boss spoke with his associates about the most ridiculous plans, Jaeger was silently watching the crowd. She wasn't worried, no one here nor did their bodyguards seem capable of doing much damage, let alone to her boss. Those of higher authority did their best to appear as menacing, but they were all bark and no bite. When it comes down to a fight or flight situation, Jaeger could bet a hundred dollars on each of these suckers, and they'd all flee for their lives like cowards. Weak, and pathetic. They hide behind their money and fame, and let their guards do all the dirty work.. Guards. Was that the proper way to call them? Guards? More like pets. Each and every one of those bodyguards were foolish men and women in it for the money, and probably didn't even know how to fight let alone defend. Well, Jaeger was in it for the money too, sort of. If she didn't take this position as the CEO's bodyguard, who knows where'd she be right now? She'd rather not think about it.

After a bit, Jaeger realized she had lost visual of their opponents. It angered her slightly, how could she lose visual? Their enemy could be 50ft away, or, they could be lurking behind them. Just then, Jaeger twisted around to look behind them, and saw a waiter grabbing martinis for the guests. With a relieved sigh, she turned back around, crossing her arms over her chest, her fingers clinking against her steel arms. Sometimes, she missed her original arms. She missed the feelings of touch, and pain. Now, she feels nothing, nothing but a cold sensation. The worse part of it all, there was nothing wrong with her arms in the first place. They just wanted to experiment with new equipment, with new weapons, and unfortunately Jaeger was their guinea pig. She lost both her arms, and they were replaced with Military-Grade robotic arms. Thankfully, they were as fluent and maneuverable as her original arms, but she can't help but missing the ability to feel.

Jaeger couldn't shake the feeling she felt when she saw the woman. She looked so familiar, so familiar Jaeger felt as if she knew the woman. The woman reminded Jaeger of someone, someone dearly close to her. Huh.. when she truly thought about it, she did look quite familiar in looks alone, the golden bangs, those aquatic blue eyes. If anything, she looked almost like.. like Lennox. But that was impossible. Because Lennox was dead, dead and gone. There was no possible way that it could of been her. Jaeger was informed by her Marshal personally, that Len was killed in battle. The mission failed, and it took Len down with it.... As.. as horrible as it was, Jaeger had no right to imagine someone to be like Len. She couldn't do that. Just thinking of Lennox.. it made her stomach swist and turn uncomfortabley, a sickly feeling. A feeling as if someone was twisting a blade back and forth into her heart, plunging it deeper, and deeper. She clenched her steel fists, the crinkling of raw steel rubbing against each other was loud enough to catch her CEO's attention, and he quickly grabbed her wrist, pulling her hands apart from one another. "Knock it off."

---

Jaeger followed behind her boss throughout the party in silence, her eyes constantly scanning over the crowd. Looking for an immediate threats. As much as she despised the man, unfortunately, it was her job to protect him at all costs. If she failed to do so, she'd be killed, or worse. But, if she were to be completely honest, she was longing to lie down and close her eyes for good. This world felt empty, and dark. There was nothing to really live for, not really. The only thing that kept her going- was long gone. She knew that she had to keep going on, to avenge her, but it felt so difficult. To carry the pain, and the guilt. It was so difficult, and some days Jaeger truly wanted to give up. But she knew better. She knew damn better.

Following her boss across the floor, they walked through a doorway into another room. Why? Jaeger supposed that he was meeting another one of his associates. But soon enough, she found herself face to face with the people they did not want to bump into. Oh well, it was bount to happen as some point, was it not? With a deep sigh, and before the situation could escalate to a violent scale, Jaeger grabbed her superior's elbow, and pulled his entire body back, and stood in front of him. "Keep your damn distance." Jaeger glared. She didn't care that the two of them spoke, but there was no need for yelling. She was about to slowly move off to the side before something caught her attention, the woman. Now, even closer, she could see the resemblance so much more clear. Those eyes. No, it couldn't be. It was impossible. She couldn't help but stare, but quickly she caught herself and cleared her throat, and her eyes staggered a bit before looking back to the opposing CEO. She felt a hand rest on her shoulder, and she flinched to the touch, and could hear a mere whisper. "It's fine." Without replying, Jaeger moved aside, and stepped back, her eyes gazing at the floor.

Len's sea-colored eyes observe the other's face intently, taking in the features thoroughly to see if it's her. She could feel her tongue turn dry like the desert, mindlessly swishing it in her mouth. Her lips part open, ignoring their boss' argument on whose fault it was. Dutifully, she held her boss back, yet her attention was on someone else entirely. If this was her darling Jeager, she needed to explain what occurred those years ago. No, she had to for their sake. "Move aside, Lennox." When the boss said her name, her lips grew thin and pale at the pressure. Len does so, but her eyes unmoving the raven-haired woman. She folds her hands neatly in front of her, allowing her arms to grow slack. She watches the scene between Jeager and her possible boss, taking in whatever detail available to get a clue about their relationship. Her boss steps towards Jeager's boss, a smug smile on his face, "As fun as it would be to have a little brawl. I'm afraid that I have to withhold it. For now," his tone was formal, yet there was an edge to it, "we have third party daring to interfere with our darling relationship." He raises a brow, giving the other CEO a charming smile, "You wouldn't want someone to butt into our little jest, no?"

He turns his head to the crowd, secretly gesturing in another man's direction. His target was communing with a few other party attendees, the group sharing joyous laughter. "Eric McDaniel. An upcoming businessman and his company are booming well. Way too well for my liking," he grabs a cup of wine when a server holding a silver platter walks by. He takes a sip from his cup, a smirk forming on his lips, "I dug a bit deeper into how he's gaining wealth immensely, and I've discovered something interesting." The gleam in his eyes grew brighter, the CEO holding back contagious laughter. "Although," his eyes shifted the room, "I don't want to discuss such a sensitive topic out here for others to hear." Len's eyes observe the party-goers, noticing a few staring at them. Len grew unsettled by the attention, her eyes growing colder by the minute. She listened to their footsteps heading to the room they were previously about to enter alone. She was about to follow until her boss stopped in front of her. Len stared at him with confusion on her face. "Wait outside the door. Make sure no one enters. If they don't listen. . .use force."

Len nodded her head, watching the two men leave. She briefly stared at the other woman, her eyes shimmering before forcefully looking away. "Damn. She's still. . .adorable." Saying such things in her head, suppressing the urge to blush.

"Move aside, Lennox."

Lennox.

It was her.

As if someone had called Jaeger's name, she lifted her gaze from the floor, and looked right into Lennox's eyes. Instantly, she was engulfed with emotions she hadn't felt in a long, long time. "No.." she whispered, her breath trembling. It wasn't possible. Len had died. Len was dead. This wasn't real. It couldn't be.

While Jaeger pondered and searched for any kind of explanation that could explain this, she felt a hand rest on her shoulder. Looking up to see her CEO's face, she winced slightly. If he was going to station her out those doors beside Len, she didn't know what she was going to do. "Wait outside beside the door, alongside his guard. If someone attempts to push through, well, you know what to do, love." Jaeger gritted her teeth. She hated how he'd call her that.. they weren't friends, nor were they partners like that. It was disgusting, and that only fueled her anger. But, she couldn't disobey. Nodding in silence, the woman began walking towards the door.

Standing still and quiet, Jaeger stood in front of the doors that her CEO and their enemy had walked into. Her eyes focused ahead of her, she did her very best to ignore the other woman's presence. Trying to hold in her rage was difficult, but it seemed she was managing alright. What she couldn't get off of her mind, was her Marshal. He walked up to Jaeger personally that day, held out the Lennox's nametag and told her that Lennox was dead. That the mission failed, and in doing so, it took Lennox down with it. What Jaeger should of realized then, she realizes now, that the old bastard lied to her. Lied straight to her face. And about Len. Jaeger clenched her fists tightly, and she could almost hear the tearing of wires and steel. If she still had her old hands, it would be safe to say that she would've cut the circulation off so fast, she may have lost her fingers. Jaeger cleared her throat, and relaxed her muscles in her fists. She held them behind her back, clasped over one another. She did her best to seem expressionless, but it was obvious. Jaeger was torn up inside, not knowing how to feel about the current situation. Should she be mad? Lennox was alive! But all those tears she had shed, all those screams throughout the night, they were for nothing. The nightmares, the sleepless nights, over someone who wasn't even dead. And all that time, Len didn't come back. Her legs began to quiver, and her jaws were grinding violently against each other. She wanted to hug Lennox, she wanted to cry into her arms and hold her close, yet she also had a wretched, horrible want to hurt someone. Real bad.

"Where were you?" Jaeger finally managed to speak, and she looked over to Lennox, her face expressionless, but her eyes were anything but. Her violet eyes. Filled with pain, and grief. With anger, and agony. Her eyes might as well have spoken for her. Locked onto Len, her eyes began to swell with tears, and Jaeger wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't felt a cold, wet sensation trickling down her cheek. Quickly, the young woman looked away, she inhaled a deep breath and dragged her steel fingers across her eyelids to wipe the tears away. Before she could get to the rogue tear that had fallen down her cheek, it was already gone. After days, and nights of endless screams and sobs, she'd think that she had used up all of her tears. It seemed she still had another sob fest in store.

Len caught onto her shift of emotions, with a sudden feeling of guilt crashing into her soul instantly upon witnessing such a thing. His words which Jeager's boss said, made her swell with resentment. Unbeknownst to the woman, she glared daggers at the back of his head. Her eyes moved to the crowd, her body tenser harder than before. Her half-metallic body felt uncomfortable, despite the lack of feeling in them. She lets out a forced sigh, believing she would be left alone to guard the door. That was until Jeager's boss told her to stay out here with her.

"Shit."

Lennox watched the doors closed when the men entered the room, trying her hardest not to gaze upon her former friend. Ahem, that's the word. She grew quiet, more than usual, trying her best to remain serene. Her feet moved inch by inch as she shuffled side to side when she felt unsettled by her anxious body. Her replacement legs were heavy-something she hadn't experienced before. This is her first going through such a thing. Len could handle the battle of the body, yet her battle with emotions is her downfall. No one could understand her, as her compliments appear like insults, or she seems uninterested. The only person who gets what she's saying is standing beside her. A woman she believed she would never see again after her departure. The whole thing she went through was. . .difficult. To say the least. Lennox, for the first time, felt uncomfortable in this situation. Never had she been this unsettled before. Her mind was lost in its world, growing too exhausted in reality. Her thought process shattered when she heard a familiar voice called out to her, the pupils in her eyes dilating when she listened to those three simple words:

"Where were you?"

As quick as it came, she tucked it away within the trenches of her head. Bringing her fingers to mess with the black pigmentation of her hair, her eyes focused on the patterned, marbled floor. Should she explain everything to her? Of course, she should. Jeager deserves an explanation, or at least know what happened. She knows it's the right thing to do, yet she's concerned about something else. Would Jeager hate her for eternity after telling her? With that exception, her face went pale, and she clenched her jaw. She inhaled sharply, moving closer to stand beside her former lover. That turned out to be the biggest mistake, as she felt the air in her lungs leaves spontaneously. Len waits a minute longer, listening to the voices behind the door to see if they're distracted from one another before continuing. "I had no choice." She whispered in Jeager's ears, keeping her eyes up ahead. "I saw something. . .," she drifted off to gaze upon the crowd in front of them, "that I wasn't supposed to see." Len moved her arms behind her back and kept her hands free from each other. Instead, she reaches out to Jeager's hand, desiring to comfort them both. "The Marshall," her lips abruptly shut when she said the ranking, "aid me by faking my death." She closed her eyes, trying to process that event piece by piece, "I was ordered to find secretive documents, which I did in an enemy facility, but it was all a trap. The building wasn't the enemy but ours. Rigged with explosives, from the base up. They-," she paused, lifting her eyelids, yet her eyes didn't express sadness, "-they set them off. The Marshall found me barely alive. Upon deeper inspection, I was the only one to survive. He treated me, faked my death, and sent me away to this city." The tone of her voice is directed. As if she holds little grief about what occurred. This isn't true, as the color of her eyes was dull. Len's emotions aren't easy to perceive, causing misunderstanding when she socializes with people.

After that brief explanation, she takes steady breaths, holding back her emotions to gain control. "He forbid me to contact anyone from the military. . .even you." Lennox finally looked at her, pulling Jeager closer to her side. "I apologize. Truly." She lets go of Jeager's hand, moving away from her, and clears her throat-noticing that she was getting too physical with the spoken woman. "I shouldn't be doing such things with you anymore. It's clear that you're spoken for," hinting at Jeager's and her CEO's actions that she witnessed, "I'm deeply sorry." The taste in her words was riddled with disdain, a brief flash of murderous intentions in her aqua eyes before it faded away. She should come to terms with it if that's the case-she did leave Jeager alone for so many years. Even if it means that she'll be hurt in the process. Her former girlfriend had been through so much, so she believed it was her turn to endure such a tragedy.

Jaeger was hesitant, she could feel Lennox growing closer, and closer. Inch by inch. She could feel Len's hand reaching out, and when she drew close enough, Jaeger took her hand, and clasped her fingers tightly around her hand, not enough to hurt her, but enough that no one could tear their hands apart. While her fingers were made of metal, she knew the feeling of Lennox's skin. It was soft, yet course. She could feel the caluses that made up most of her palm, and as coarse as they were, they were still comforting. Jaeger never wanted to let go. But she knew better. As she listened onwards, Jaeger's eyes would grow foggy, holding back the ocean of tears that dared to release themselves. It was painful, but she could hold it. As much as Jaeger loved the sound of Len's voice, it was so difficult to hear Lennox speak, it felt like she was talking to a ghost. After years, and years of grieving and mourning, begging to see Len one last time, well, here was her chance. But, she was in so much pain. It didn't help that they were in an area were they couldn't speak ion private.. it was too open. Too many eyes and ears. It felt wrong to have Lennox explain herself in such secrecy.

As Lennox pulled away from Jaeger, she almost reached out for her hand again, but she stopped herself quickly, and cleared her throat in silence. As Lennox spoke, Jaeger couldn't help but look over to Len in confusion. Spoken for?- She couldn't understand what Len had meant by that, but shortly Jaeger realized what she had meant. Between Jaeger and her superior. Scoffing, a bit appalled and offended by that, Jaeger replied, "That's a ridiculous accusation. Lennox, you were my one and only.. nothing can or will change that." Suddenly, her jaw began to quiver, she could feel her jaws grinding her teeth raw. It was so painful. All of this, all over again. The pain, the agony. It was too much to bear.

Jaeger had glanced away from Len, but when she looked back at her, her eyes were pleading in despair, as if someone had just stabbed her right in the back. "I spent countless nights screaming, and pleading for you to come back to me. I would kneel down for hours on end," she breathed in hoarsely, "begging for someone to bring you back to me."

With no warning, Jaeger shoved herself towards Lennox, pushing the woman against the wall, her fist striking the wall beside her head. She heaved in and out, tears falling onto the floor below them rapidly. "I loved you, damnit. Where were you?? Why couldn't you send me something? Anything? YEARS. Years I spent mourning you, years I spent believing that my only love was dead!" She spoke between stifled sobs, "Yet here you stand in front of me, refusing to hold my hand because you dared to think I moved on! I couldn't move on Lennox, I tried, so, so hard. But I couldn't, because I couldn't fathom replacing you, replacing what we had." Jaeger sobbed. She didn't care for the eyes that were fixated on them, she didn't care whether or not her boss could hear her. She felt broken, useless. She failed to keep herself in line, she failed.

Jeager's actions to what she said was bizarre yet understandable. She grew quiet, and deathly so, while listening to her ramblings. Hearing Jeager describe what she's been through crushed her, it hurts worse than a bullet getting lodged inside you. She looks up from the sobbing woman, noticing bunch of eyes gazing upon them. Bewildered at the scene going on. Even the bosses in the room were quiet, which bothered her immensely. Len's eyes shift downwards to the shorter one, steadily, she wraps an arm around the others waist. "Let's go someplace private." Without waiting for a second, she forcefully removes Jeager from their position.

She shoots daggers at the nosey onlookers, which is enough to turn them away. Upon reaching outside, her eyes begin to glow. Using her cyberware to hack a flying taxi for a source of transportation. Patiently, she stood there outside with Jeager beside her. Only for raindrops to hit her head. Len huffs, removing her coat and holding it over Jeager's head. "I'm sorry for putting such an accusation on your already heavy shoulders. I should've been more observant," she bites her bottom lip, anger burning in her eyes. "When he called you love," she paused to soothe her rage, "I thought you two were, you know," she looks to side to avoid eye contact with Jeager, "a thing." She pulls Jeager closer, their sides touching. The rain was pouring down harder, with Len getting soaked. However, she wasn't bothered getting soaked. What bothered her was Jeager and her wild emotions. She knows that an angry Jeager is a dangerous one.

When the taxi hovered in front of them, she helps Jeager get inside first before following behind. As the door shut behind them, Len's soaking wet hand went to the other's. "Believe me when I say this," she twisted her body around to face her, locking her eyes with hers, "I never stopped thinking about you all those years apart. There's no one in this forsaken world that can replace you in my heart, soul, and mind." Dull as her tone may be, but the seriousnes within it made it oddly heartfelt. "My darling Moon," she pulls Jeager towards her, pressing her forehead against hers, "you're the only one for me." Len backs away, placing a hand on her cheek. Her eyes fixated on her face while the vehicle takes her to the coordinates she put it. "We'll have all the time we need to reconnect." Her lips pulled into an awkward smile, trying to ease the brewing tension, "I owe you a lot of hugs and all those years we spent separated." Without waiting for a reply, her arms of metal coils around Jeager, holding her tightly. Normally, Jeager was the one to engage the affection like holding or kissing, with Len following her lead. Now, she's trying her best to be the first to express her love without Jeager's aid.

She blinks a few times, unsure if she's doing the whole hugging thing right. "I'm not squeezing you too hard or anything?" Len loosens her grips, prying herself away by a few centimeters. "I don't want to crush your ribs, Moonlight." Her brows furrowed, inspecting Jeager for any signs of injuries.
