Character Sheet ~Faeris~ (Aka Fae) 3, almost 4 years old Female - Appearance Faeris is average looking at first glance, but her subtler features add a certain delicate touch that compliments her personality. Her eyes can be described as green, at a basic level, but a closer look reveals small splashes of colors, shades of green all over the spectrum and soft, shy, browns that create a deep pathway within them. This pathway almost seems like it leads you to her nose, a matching brown, speckled with caramel flecks that look like they would make you sneeze. Her nose is separated from her fur by only a few shades, as if sunlight had shone over her soft fur, but never her nose. She has a tickly peach tint that gives an impression of sweetness. Her fur is not overly long, but on the shorter side of medium, enough so that when it's windy, it blows a bit but won't get in the way, with her tail swishing a little more. Faeris has a smaller build, with skinny shoulders and thin legs, seemingly a disadvantage in a fight, and she'll let it fool you, but her agility gives her a slippery upper hand, being able to avoid most hits. - Personality Faeris is quiet and caring, doing whatever she can to make others comfortable. She often lets whoever she's with take the lead, but won't hesitate to defend anything she sees fit to defend. She'll put others being comfortable high on her priority list, but is sure to take care of herself as well. Due to her desire to care for others, it's easy for Faeris to get overprotective and sometimes controlling. She feels bad at even the possibility of her having hurt someone and is quick to over apologize, which often leads to a frustrating loop. Faeris is loyal, stemming from her compassionate tendencies, but that can also lead to inner conflicts when she has to choose between loyalty or compassion. If being loyal leads her astray, she becomes far more willing to give it up. When it comes to the side of light or dark (better named as the "enemy"), Faeris clings strongly to light. As she convinced herself that light was the perfectly right thing, and because of the way she was raised, she feels strongly against the "dark" enemies and scoffs at the mention of it in conversation- this is only the case in theory, and how she would truly act when met by someone from the other side is unknown, as she's still fairly young and has never actually encountered such a situation. - Likes Faeris is a big fan of getting out and exploring the territory. Some of her favorite things to do while out and about include fishing, sniffing through the forest floor for interesting things, and listening to the many different bird calls that ring through the trees. Her pack prefers that she not join the patrols, to protect her "delicate" nature, so most often she sneaks off alone to trot through the trees. Bcause she enjoys fishing, trout also ends up being her favorite food, along with pheasants, and she always keeps particularly pretty feathers that she finds from them. Faeris is happiest during fall, everything seems perfect to her- the weather, all the leaves and other colors throughout the forest, and all the little animals preparing for winter. - Dislikes Faeris hates the snow, and does her absolute best to avoid it, especially because she tends to get more covered than the other wolves due to her size. She dislikes eating the odd things that her overbearing mother constantly brings her, such as mushrooms and different herbs that she picks up. Pack meetings are near the very bottom of her list, and she would never go if she wasn't required to. Then again it also wouldn't be as bad for her if she wasn't the one required to be there. - Kin Faeris' father is the alpha of the pack, a darkly colored wolf with a large, bulky, build. She is his only pup, as her mother almost didn't survive her first litter, Faeris being the only pup to survive. Her mother is a darkly cream colored wolf and is the alpha female. She is very protective of Faeris for this reason and is how she learned to be so compassionate, even if her mother's version of being caring was often overbearing, especially now that she was older. Faeris has no other kin within the pack, but considers her best friend, KoKo, a raven furred she-wolf, as close as a sister.

Dijkstra (Deek) 4 years old Male Appearance Dijkstra is a dark grey almost black wolf. He has some streaks of red and a blue undertone to his grey fur. Surprisingly enough his nose is a striking whitish pink color and sticks out like a beacon. Along with his nose, his eyes stick out to as they are an electric blue and green with specs of gold in them. Dijkstra is tall and towers over the others in his pack by a near foot. His body is long and lengthy but proportionate making him very handsome. He is slim and slender but very strong. His coat is long and think making his tail super bushy and soft. Because his fur is long Dijkstra's coat is always getting tangled and is easily dirtied. Personality Dijkstra is quite and keeps to himself. He was born to the dark side but never really felt like he belonged. His father did 2 years ago and his mother has been trying to convince him to become the next alpha when he comes of age. His dads beta was filling in for now but the spot was rightfully Dijkstras if he chose to claim it in a year when he turned five. Dijkstra never wanted to be alpha though. He wanted to be a lone wolf but knew it would break his mothers heart. He planned on just turning the position down and he will (unless something changes his mind).Dijkstra is very cunning and knows how to get his way when he wants. Despite that he is actually very nice and loving if you get to know him. Likes Dijkstra likes to have time to himself. He loves when it's dark and he is able to blend in with the shadows. This makes it easy for him to sneak away. His favorite season is winter. His thick long coat keeps him warm and he loves to bury himself in the snow. The cold weather has always been a friend to him. Dislikes Dijkstra hates summer and almost always has his fur wet. Though his under coat helps to provide some protection from the heat, it never seems to be enough and by mid day he finds himself in the river trying to cool down. He also hates pack meetings as he has to stand up in front of everyone being center of attention and he has never liked that. He would rather if everyone ignored him. Kin Dijkstras father was average size. He was pitch black with green eyes. Even his nose was black. He was very muscular and had a medium coat. Dijkstras died unfortunately died when Dijkstra was 2 because of an illness that swept the entire pack. Most had survived but some didn't make it. Dijkstras mother is a redish brown wolf with some white markings. She stands a little smaller then the average wolf. She has a slim frame and is light on her feet. She has a short thick coat that keeps her cool in summer and warm in winter. Her cream colored nose and he striking blue eyes set her apart from the rest. Dijkstra was her only born. Dijkstra has no other kin in the pack

Dijkstra groaned as he got to his feet. He had just turned 4 a few days ago and knew that in a year his mom will be expecting him to take over the pack and find a mate. There were plenty of suitable females in the pack and they all seemed to fancy him. However he didn't like them the same way. He wanted someone who he could relate to. He trotted out of his den and shook out his fur. He stretched out his legs and began to look around.

Faeris woke to the soft dawn light filtering into her small, carved, cave. She closed her eyes and layed there, basking in it for a while, until the sound of her mother's voice woke her. She rolled over onto her back, stretching and opened her eyes slowly to see her mother padding in quietly. "Faeris, dear, come eat some breakfast please. Today's the pack meeting, you'll have to get prepared throughout the day today." Faeris huffed a hot breath of air out of her small nose and flipped herself over to be face to face with her mother. She had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. "Those are so stupid, I don't know why you make me go. It's not like anyone cares if I'm there. They just care that I'm not somewhere else." Her mother whisked her tail and narrowed her eyes at her daughter. "Please be respectful, and come eat." Faeris apologized and stood up, shaking what little dust had collected in her fur. She padded out into the clearing of trees that her pack called home. She smiled at the morning commotion of the forest, the birds and bugs and plants all coming alive. She was lost in thought when something large and heavy tackled her. Faeris panicked for a moment until she realized who it was. She sighed, a hint of laughter along with it. "KoKo, please don't, you still act as if we're pups." She teased. "You know Fae, it's no wonder the pack's so protective of you. I defeated you way too easily." Faeris shoved KoKo off with an effort and stood up, panting. "Come on, Mom's going to be mad if she sees us like this." She shook off her pelt a second time, this time for the dirt she had gathered when pinned, and made her way towards her father to gather whatever breakfast he'd gotten for her today.

The pack was slowly starting to wake. The only ones who were really still asleep were the pups who should be waking soon. Today he was to give them a lesson on hunting. He didn't want to but his mom was forcing him. He rolled his eyes and padded towards the river. He lapped at the water to quench his thirst. Dijkstra was then off headed towards the dense forest when a voice came from behind. "Your not running away are you?" His mother asked with worry in her voice. He turned around and Dijkstra faced his mother. She knew he had always wanted to be a loner and not run a pack but she couldn't bear the thought of losing her only child. Dijkstra smiled at her. "Just going for a mom. I will be back soon. I promise." He said before locking her cheek and walking into the forest. His mother watched him leave with a sad look on her face. Hoping that by next year he will change his mind and run the pack.

As Faeris made her way over, she greeted her father cheerfully and accepted the unappealing squirrel he offered her. It was one of the biggest of the recent hunt, but it's disgruntled and sickly appearance made Faeris slightly uneasy. Either way, she accepted it gratefully and thanked her father for the effort. She gulped it down quickly, trying not to think about it too much, and walked over to an empty nook of the clearing to bask in the dappled sunlight. She was hoping to take a walk in the bright forest sometime today, stretch her legs and enjoy the refreshing breeze. But her mother and father would have their eye on Faeris for a while, because they didn't have much else to do. They wouldn't mind her going, so long as she had an escort, but she completely lost her sense of privacy with another wolf around, and never felt like dealing with it. So instead, she planned to lay here for a couple hours, talking with passing wolves and KoKo, when she had free time. It certainly felt lazy and unhelpful to Faeris, but as she was always told, she was best helpful when leading the pack and their decisions. She hoped that she would be able to participate in more regular activities once she was betrothed to an alpha heir of her father's choosing. Of course, that wasn't the most favorable idea to her, but she didn't mind doing what was best for her pack, and had confidence in her father's choices. He had told Faeris that he wanted to choose within the next few years, and she expected an announcement soon.

Dijkstra padded silently though the forest. He raised his nose to the air. He sniffed the air trying to find a scent. When the air gave nothing, he sniffed the ground. He caught the scent of a fox and started after it. He kept his nose close to the ground while he tracked down the fox. The smell was getting stronger meaning he was getting closer. He lowered himself to the ground and crept forward. He spotted the fox in a small clearing. He watched for a little bit before pouncing at the fox. He missed and the fox started to take off. Dijkstra took off after the fox. He quickly gained on the creature and pounced on it taking it to the ground. He picked the fox up by the scruff and carried it back to the pack. He dropped it in the hunting hole so it couldn't get away. The pups were starting to wake and gather around the training pit. He smiled and was ready for this lesson. Some of the mothers and other females were giving him a worried look but most of the males started to gather as well thinking that this would be an interesting session.

After an hour or two of laying in the warm sun, Faeris got up, stretching in a long bow. She shook off her short pelt and started padding around the clearing, her gaze flitting around in search of KoKo. It didn't take long before she found her entertaining the young, wide eyed, puppies of the pack. She smiled, laughing quietly at KoKo's sweet efforts. She walked up next to her, brushing her tail lightly with her cheerful friend. She leaned in close as she passed her, whispering in a hushed tone. "I'm going out alone again Ko, cover for me if you can." She left calmly, giving her one last side glance before slipping away behind a thick bush. Once out of sight, she breathed in the fresh, strong, scents of the forest. They were better away from the rest of the pack- the clearing was always jumbled with the scents if prey, other wolves, and whatever else the patrols had picked up. She perked her ears, alert for any nearby wolves, and then took off, gaining speed quickly. It was exhilarating, she felt like she could go anywhere, with her paws hitting the ground heavily, sending pine needles and dirt flying behind her. She could hear her heart pounding rhythmically in her ears, and her short, energetic breathes. It felt like forever, but Faeris finally slowed down, breathing heavily. She sat down, curling her tail around her paws, and looked up at her surroundings. She had gone much further than she thought, and she could no longer smell her territory markers as strongly. She must be on the edge of the pack's land. She got up, shrugging. She tended to avoid getting too far towards the borders, but having it happen once or twice wasn't the end of the world. Seeing as how she had never been here, she perked her ears in curiosity and began walking cautiously forward.

The pack males let out an excited howl. Dijkstra chuckled as he began to circle the pit. He let out a strong stern howl to silence the pack so he could teach. Once the pack quieted down he began to speak. "Now today," he said watching the young pups. "You will learn how to take down predators. Your goal is to chase the fox for a minute before pouncing on it and pinning it down. If and when you pin it you will pass the lesson. Those of you who don't succeed will try again next week." He spoke loudly for everyone to hear. Dijkstra continued on with his voice still booming, "You will each get 3 tries." And with that, he started calling the pups one by one to take their turn. Most of the pups were successful but there were a couple who weren't quite good enough yet and they were the youngest ones. Here and there one of the pups would get scratched or bit by the fox and the mother of the pup would come up and take the pup away while glaring at Dijkstra. Dijkstra would just shrug it off and call the next pup.
