It's hard to grind like a normal pack and still make a good profit from explore because I have to constantly spend mush to make my explore wolves better at exploring. On top of that, I have the added risk that I'm forced to retire any wolf who gets gravely injured in battle and I'm on a hot spring timeout for 2 weeks so I'm in a tough spot

Toxic: Opaca blazed in fury as she savagely tore into the back of the males neck as if she was digging for bone, blood pouring down her jaws and chest, coating herself in his blood. but as she gripped onto the last chunk, he pulled just enough for flesh to rip away, latched in her jaws, but detached from him, suddenly she stumbled out of the cave as his body plowed her out, but she was on a mission. She snarled and lunged to finish him, going straight for the throat but within a blink, she was snatched from her target, feeling fangs pierce her jugular, digging in, eyes wide and flaming, snarling with her jaws wide open, tasting metallic as she realized, this is her end. her final battle. She showed no fear, snarling aggressively as he thrashed and ripped her own throat from her, blood spattering the earth below her. suddenly the earth grew cold as she fell to the ground, everything was fuzzy, the no longer felt pain, muddled voices, blurred vision. Syvne. she smelled Syvne. she would finish it in her honor. she could die at peace knowing that. but there was no fight, they were just standing there, she could see syvne near her, blurred, hearing her voice in a muffle. why wasnt she fighting? for the first time, fear flashed in her gaze. she was scared, scared for syvne. she tried to warn her but only choked and wheezed. then she took her last breath, in vein.
Syvne got there as her gaze flashed with fear of the sight behind the male, Opaca was... everywhere. She looked at the male as she hurried past, holding a low stature, she knew what happened. what always happens, only this time, she lost. crouching next to opaca, she spoke low, "Opaca... why?" she didnt know what to say. it was wrong. she could see the fear in her eyes. it must have been hard for her. to lose for the first, and last time. she took her final breath, but syvne could bear the look of fear frozen in her wide orange eyes, so she licked them shut, she could feel her fellow valkyrie's blood pool around her. Seeping between her toes. thick as the smell of it in the air.

overdrawn with adrenaline that streamed through his veins like tides in their pitiless speeds, the brute breathed out heftily, the certitude of the situation hurling him back to realize the already knelt damsel pry into the leaden cadaver he had massacred. it heaped him in bewilderment and drowned him in a haze that he had not stuttered out any more belligerent demeanors to the diverted damsel. who were they? he heaved whilst his marred face etched with a pucker of puzzlement, his stature quavering with the aftermath of the partisan skirmish. his discomfort that tattered at his collar was, numbed and not in his head. everything was churning and the brute was treading back. he did not wish to participate in this position anymore, he did not trust where this was leaning toward. but after all, it wasn't his blame? it was all a defense. in a deserted terrain, he was surviving against the odds of mother nature. against the canine who coveted his demise.
.
and in the lingering shadiness, he soullessly drawled out, '' every clash etches a lesson ... your confidante inscribed theirs in crimson ... '' he wasn't haughty or proud of it, but he was not keen on masking his distaste and bitterness at such an outcome that was settled in both of their blood.

Within the dwellings of the blood bathed stench that wafted over the forest, Syvne crouched over the body of her deceased elder pack mate. Her golden gaze ablaze with so many emotions. this was her trainer. The one who taught her all she knew. the best friend to her mother, Lunae the one who sees. She was practically that loving yet grumpy aunt. A tough teacher of life lessons. but with a bad habit. murder. now shes rightfully met her end. it was only a matter of time, she told herself. But what would the chosen one, Rosa think? Opaca was her mother.
Her gaze flickered upwards as she heard the male speak few wise words, '' every clash etches a lesson ... your confidante inscribed theirs in crimson ... '' Those words. they held such meaning. meaning that had the utmost truth and wisdom to it. He was only protecting himself. She knew her fate, long before this fight. she supposed it was a form of mercy. she would have suffered feeling age take her will. As the male turned she froze, staring at the gaping torn massecre on the back of the males neck. she had only one whispered phrase that seemed to slip, "Im sorry..." her whisper seemed to vanish into the night breeze, a part of her knew that wound would end most loners.

he heaved out after the damsel murmured toward his direction, her retort toting throughout the nightly breeze as it bristled at the rears of the outskirts that overclouded behind him. it was an intricate scenario, to imbibe in. he was preparing for another, partisan skirmish, the one out of arrant outrage and vengeance for the demise of her associate. but as the brute observed the scene unfurl into a crestfallen ambiance, he discerned the beads of tears skidding in the noiseless atmosphere rowdier than any unspoken idiom, persuading the brute to crane his entire physique from the damsel, indicating his disinclination to communicate any further. and to prove, that he was as halfhearted to oppose as the damsel was. but in the dreadful quietude, he had not dwelt close-mouthed. with a tilt of his cranium, he declared, ".. consider your next measures carefully. my threats harbour weight ..." he demeaned benevolent which was an unlikelihood for the behemoth-like brute, but what was there to propose? he was in dismay the same way the damsel was too, not keen to act on his spoken responses. as the damsel had not considered his demise as her reassurance, therefore the brute had not considered her deceased cadaver as his solace either.

but before he considered his flee, drenching in his blood, he mumbled. ".. in a province of debts, you're not even a footnote. so consider yourself pardoned .."

The she-wolf of tall stature, slender figure, and a thickened coat of winter only watched the male with a look of concern. Opaca could eventually end up taking him with her with the mark she made upon him. She wanted to help. but part of her said that it would be wrong. and no one in her pack would help her if they knew what had been done, whether it was his fault or not. They'd understand, but they would never do it against opaca's dying attempt. Her gaze trailed the gaping wound until his voice caught her attention, ".. consider your next measures carefully. my threats harbour weight ..." She took a moment to process this. he thought shed attack? If she had any will to then it would have been done long before now. "I have no desire to harm you any further. I followed to stop her. I knew she would meet her end this way one day. its a habit of hers. traveling outside of the pack during dusk, killing innocent wanderers close by as they sleep." She shook her head with an ashamed look, yet fondness took over her gaze as she looked down at her body, "No one ever asks her to. shes always been advised not to, yet she has a desire, a ned, to kill for the pack in a means of protection. always has. she couldnt let herself die of age. she was born to die this way." She smiled softly, "now her restless soul can finally find peace." Syvne's gaze flickered upwards to the beastly male, seemingly plastered in blood muddled of his own and Opaca's. ".. in a province of debts, you're not even a footnote. so consider yourself pardoned .." she listened to his words, gathering he'd been through much in his life, her ear flicked as she tilted her head, "may I look? My mother... she is the one who sees, a healer, and an omen reader. shes taught me a few things. I understand if not. either way, this hole-" she motioned to the make-shift den he had slept in, "check it tomorrow night." she felt the need to help in some way. she knew he'd linger in her mind a bit as she found ways to cope with Opaca's death.

his behold disclosed the truth, her proposal was beyond his ends, and the trust between them was — nonexistent. he had not considered her as someone he'd entrust in his drawbacks, he was not keen to be conned or taken care of, it made him seem wimpish and witless. it made him look like a poltroon that triumphed but pursued after the console of another foreign canine. he declined, politely or not, mumbling whatever foulness befell out of his clenched mandibles, not sounding so considerate after all. but more belligerent than before. "... i don't require your feeble assistance. it's beneath my needs... " he had turned toward the damsel, his cranium lilted yet his shoulders foundered, the blood appeared like an overcoat that he wore, smearing across his broad shoulders, his tarnished back and the sides of his neck, moulding his fur against his incised flesh. ''.. i'd choose death over reliance on anyone's aid.. '' he chimed. withdrawing back once again, like he had uttered enough, given by the fact how his voice sounded. bereft of its usual strength and gruffness, now a breathy grasp he forced out of his throat.

"tomorrow, i'll be a mere remembrance. live as if i had never plied your path.'' he wheezed, turning to stagger into the dense outskirts of the woodland.

Syvne froze at his response. how was she supposed to take that? she'd never been denied help before. Ever. she was taken aback. who would deny free food especially when injured? "... i don't require your feeble assistance. it's beneath my needs... " Feeble? she thought. her feeble assistance? Her ears flicked back a moment as her brows furrowed. '.. i'd choose death over reliance on anyone's aid.. '' Her gaze eventually softened a bit after she heard that next statement. That was exactly what opaca would say. that was her way. maybe this was his way too. She huffed in thought. how could she help without him knowing? "tomorrow, i'll be a mere remembrance. live as if i had never plied your path.'' she listened to his wheezes and watched him staggar. He needed help. she knew he did. she also knew he probably wouldnt take it. "now, I cant do that." She stated. "you did slaughter a part of my family. my alphas mother and my mothers beloved friend." She huffed with a flick of her tail. now was not the time to be bitter, "I dont mean to be bitter. She was going to do the same to you. This isnt something someone can forget. for either of us. your wounds are a mark that show youve been in a serious fight. Opaca's body carries your scent now. the longer it takes you to heal, the more recognizable you are to my pack." she stated plainly, "you could guess what that would lead to." Shed let him go, but she knew he wouldnt last long. shell find him at his weakest and then try to help heal his wounds. build him back up after hes too bad off to fight her so much on it.

the practical part of him comprehended her retort, comprehended the significance a clan may do to a wayfarer the likes of him who was practically jostling through the door of demise. all tarnished and coated in the blood of her mother whilst his odour, a putrid stench in the nightly breeze harboured throughout the barren yet perilous province. but he was too absorbed in his roots to endorse it vocally, he had never tolerated assistance even at his lowest, not all wanted to assist a strayed brute, so he believed it was all a mere gimmick. but despite that, he had ceased his strides, flaunting his backside that was burnished by the moonbeams of the moon, outlining his hindquarters and the bits of blood blanketing it. he considered it, somewhat. sponged in her last breath that fluttered with the last response she emitted.

''.. same hour tomorrow, you'll find me here. if not, then demises embrace has found me... '' he strained his voice, pitching in volume so that the damsel abiding in the far-fetched distance may hear.

it hurt his spirit to trust, it made him infuriated just to believe how fragile he was. and how right the damsel was, it simmered his blood and made his face etch in a pucker of distaste. but it was all veiled by the gloaming of the towering groves, just underlining how burnt and incensed his stare was. ''.. luck favours you, mongrel. ..'' he chided in a callous murmur, turning away to vanish back into the cool murkiness of the eldritch woodland.

As the injured brute turned away, she was beginning to lose hope. Internally, she pannicked at the fact that she was a cause of this potential death and could do something to help prevent it, but wouldnt be able to help. If she was of no use, and if this death fell on her, she would most certainly never recover. She didnt believe in just merely existing. If she made no difference, then she meant nothing. she would be a waste. And all she could think was, what would her son think? ''.. same hour tomorrow, you'll find me here. if not, then demises embrace has found me... ' the brutes voice chimed her from her thoughts, frelief swelled around her being. A chance. Her gaze hardened once more, now she had restored purpose. shed be there, ready.
Syvne watched as his muddled figure dissapeared within the forests before turning to the cold dead body of Opaca. With a huff she grabbed her by the spine, afraid if she grabbed her by the scruff, her head my fall off. She made her way to the stream that passed outside of the territory and bathed opaca's body in it. Ridding of his scent to the best of her ability, covering her in pine needles as the scent of pine freshened her cold stiff pelt. Then off she went, dragging opaca's body to the territory, up the cliff.

the gloominess that cocooned the woodland washed over the coldness on his agape, charring wounds and on the stiffness that grabbed his scrag and paralyzed it to move, latching his crania in place as he sauntered throughout the fringes of the eldritch woodland, with no place or purpose rooted in his brain, just ache to rot his every thought that entrenched in the foundations of his dome. he hunted after consolation, for some itty-bitty ease that could make the gnashing of his teeth slighter and the raucous moans that poured from the corners of his chomps more hushed. he was a denuded and a breezy mark now, powerless amid the gates of demise for those who oversaw. he was clad of flesh and blood, persecuted by an antagonist he had not foreseen. everything that he did, wherever he fled, whatever he emitted, came with a consequence of hell. it was like the divinities were turning him in the direction of anguish so that the felled spirit could not embellish the planet in its desolate hues and could just disperse from the motherlands like an early daybreak haze, vapouring into the welkins and not abandoning its trace havocing the forestries.

but once it all withered into duskiness, his knees curved and strained at the overstretching loss of control. descending onto the blotches of verdure that bode as bedding for his unconscious and bloodied cadaver.

The cool night air flowed through the snowy she-wolf's thick pelt as her paws fit in the divots of the cliff path carved out by the paws of her ancestors, over time, step by step, wearing the path to the paws of the past. Her jaw locked tight on the back of small, old, and frail Opaca. her mutilated body sopping wet smelling of riverwater and pine, no trace of the males scent upon her. After some time she made it to the top, camp. The night clouds level with the stone beneith her paws, the ground whisping up to a foggy abyss. Camp was quiet, yet a lone pair of foggy moonlit eyes awaited her, staring blankly ahead, dark grey pelt blending with the shadows as the bloodied pawprin mark of the pack shaman shown glittering ominously in the shadows. Syvne no longer recognized her mother. Lunae was for the spirits. the ancestors. Her soul belonged to the past. It was always so hard to see her mother in that body. Now in her olden age merely a vessel for the past. A low, chilling voice of silk rumbled softly, "You failed" Syvne knew she waited too long to bring opaca's body back to the territory. Opaca may forever be a restless soul bound to the outskirts of the territory, never to run with her ancestors. Syvne dipped her head in shame as Lunae took the mere shell of opaca to her den, watching her walk away as she spoke, "because of your failure, Opaca is now a wandering spirit, never to reunite with her family." Eventhough the truth hurt, Syvne seemed to notice that Lunae's tone seemed void of emotion, simply informing, rather than dissapointed. yet Opaca was her best friend. The ones who get to speak with the ancestors sacrafice themselves as vessels for communication, their own spirit getting pushed behind over time. soon her mother would begin forgetting basic living functions, essentially starving to death once the ancestors find the next worthy vessel. Syvne didnt feel remourse for this. Her mother really never felt like a mother. Opaca trained her and the pack raised her. It was a duty of the pack to help ease off connections between a pup and its mother if the mother was chosen as a vessel. Soon she made it to her den, letting sleep take her away from the horrid occurences of the night. as she slept the scent of opaca clung to her like a warm memory from puphood, sending her into fond dreams retelling memories. sadly the scent of her dear caregiver was only the scent of her blood drying upon her white speckled coat. but shed savor this. just one more time.
