so atm i cant seem to get to any of the "blank spots" i keep moving around but i just get stuck at a dead end over and over. its getting really frustrating

You can get an explorer's map in the barter, that will show you any spots and or Animals your missing

If not, you can simply restart the level and then start over with a totally blank map

If you dont want to restart or buy a map, check the corners. They seem to be the most missed when I accidentally miss a tile
