You know the rules, don't post unless you're in the title.

Hero x Villain RP
263943 x 229311
MxM

Rundown of the plot:
Superpowers AU. Powers are extremely common in this world but typically citizens have very mundane things, whereas Heroes and Villian tend to have much more impressive abilities. The villain isnt actually bad, they just need the money. The hero and villain are enemies turned sparing buddies(?) who eventually fall in love. Everything else is pretty up in the air.

Name

Dante Amadeo

---

Nickname(s)

Some popular names given to him by people are Danny or Dan, though he's gotten one or two chicken comments back when his wings were still fluffy and maturing.

---

Villain Name

He's been trying to gain a name for himself as Azael, and he's managed to get himself branded as Sariel by the media, but a lot of people simply refer to him as "The Angel".

---

Age

26

---

Gender

Male - Masculine

---

Sexuality

Male leaning Bisexual

---

Alignment

Villain

---

Powers

Birb :>

His power manifests in the form of large, iridescent wings, similar to those of a raven or crow. His bones are hollow, allowing for a smaller mass density to help him get off the ground. So he's a bit more fragile than the normal man and his fighting skills have to make up for that. His fingers and toes are adorned with tiny, razor sharp talons that he can thankfully retract. Unfortunately, his wings aren't the same way, and he has to forcefully bind them to his back during the day to stay undetected.

I think it’d be fun if he could chirp or whistle. Not very useful, but it's funny.

Birb brain go ooo, shiny. He likes to collect precious items, expecially gold and various gems.

---

General Appearance

Crystal blue eyes and a head of short, golden curls.

Ebony wings. Golden tipped because why not? He can be flashy.

Freckles, my beloved.

Shorter-lean figure.

White, maybe tan.

Scrawny-looking fellow. But he’s covered in lean muscle and can and will yeet you off a building.

--

Villain Costume

An ornate black Baroque mask covers the lower half of his face.

Black corset waist belt? Hell yeah.

Grey crop top with attached cape sleeves and large hood. Similarly colored fingerless gloves cover each hand, showing off the small talons adorning each nail, and wedge platform boots cover his feet to his knees.

Gold, Grey and Black Palette.

Wedge Platform Boots to give himself that extra three inches of height he so desperately needs.

His mask has been outfitted with a voice modulator and has a decent smoke filter built in as well. He carries a katana but is also proficient with throwing knives and on multiple occasions has used his wings as a blunt force weapon/deterant.

--

Civilian Appearance

Comfies :D

He prefers to dress very casual when not working

His wardrobe consists of a lot of neutral colors, such as navy, maroon, and grey but steers clear of dark colors such as black or brown. He refuses to wear yellow at all costs

Larger sweaters or long sleeves galore, half his closet is filled with items that cover his arms. Not for any particular reason, he just feels weird leaving them exposed

---

Personality

-Tries to play himself off as this threatening, cocky villain who takes no prisoners, but he doesn't quite convince people. Maybe random civilians will believe it, but anyone who has spent more than ten minutes with him can see through the "cool" act pretty damn quickly

-He's too nice to ever actually hurt anyone. Oh sure, he'll beat up a hero or two if they come after him, but civilians always walk away unscathed

-Is actually kind of a dork and will geek out if a topic crosses over into something he's interested in. Like mythology or rocks

-Is more than content to laze about in the sun with a good book and warm his wings. It just feels nice on his feathers

-Has an extreme interest in literature. Informative or fantasy, he just likes to immerse himself in the story book world. He's also stupidly fascinated with jewelry for some reason

-Other hobbies include rock collecting and music. He's trained in the piano/keyboard and he hopes to someday learn the violin. Occasionally he writes his own pieces, but never anything career worthy

-Adding onto the former note: He wanted to be a musician early on, he even went to college for musical arts, but sadly was unable to due to the current market and lack of employer interest

-Adores both animals and children. Just loves them so much, wants one of his own *^*

-Has a 2-year-old tortoiseshell cat named Prison, who he cherishes above all else. Seriously, this kitty is so spoiled. Her name is a nod to the only time he was successfully arrested, back when he first started out

Name
Paisley Nivosko

Nickname(s)
Some call him Flower boy, though people mostly just call him "that one guy"

Hero Name
People have somehow given him the name "Sunny' or "Flower Boy" much to his horror. He's trying to rebarnd himself as Aegis, though he's been unsuccessful thus far

Age
24, but will be 25 years in a month

Gender
Male - Masculine

Sexuality
Gay as fuck

Alignment
Hero

Powers
Isn't very helpful in battle, but can change the "age" of things around him, not including humans or animals. Plants seem to grow younger or older, the air somehow smells like rain or smog or smells like sunshine like it's supposed to be the next day or the day before, the clouds will also somehow shift and move to become the pattern they were the day before or what they're going to be the next day. It's not particularly helpful, but it's cool. It's more of a time lapse kind of thing rather than a time skip, so you'll be able to see the gradual change overtime. Sometimes small things like insects or tiny marbles can get affected, but that's usually a rare and random occurance and he's not sure how to stop that.

General Appearance
- Darkish toned skin
- Black hair
- Stormy grey eyes
- Keeps his hair somewhat long
- Double braided ponytail??? Sure why not
- Tall as heck like what- please give me some of your height
- Looks like a stick but this man could run a goddamn marathon if you asked him to
- Always seems to smile
- Has some scars on his face

Villain Costume
- Wears bronze colored goggles over his eyes, the lens are tinted black so you can't see his eyes
- Has a dark blue side cape clipped to where his heart rests by some kind of flower and drapes over his right shoulder
- Wears a white colored poet shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows
- Brown leather arm guards cover his forearms
- Wears a black fingerless glove on his right hand
- Wears white colored sport shoes because he doesn't like the thought of running after people with boots on
- Keeps his hair into a low, loose ponytail and clips some of his bangs back with a clip of a rose
- Carries a Halberd with him

Civilian appearance
- Wears pastel colored sweaters and shirts, they usually don't have any patterns, they're just solid colored with a white dress shirt underneath usually
- Wears a sun visor because he thinks it's cool and doesn't like making eye contact much without having his eyes somewhat covered
- Necklace with a small silver pendant that he usually keeps hidden
- Wears sneakers or comfortable walking shoes because he likes feeling comfortable
- Flowers poke out from the top part of his visor tangled with his hair
-

Personality
- Is actually really sweet, like- this man will go out of his way to help literally anyone, doesn't matter who they are. He's that one guy that will always give a 5 dollar bill to beggars on the street and pay the check at restaurants because he doesn't want someone else to waste their money on it
---
- He's quite soft-spoken and giggles at the randomest of things. You could probably say the worst joke in history and he'll still find it hilarious because his humor is broken-
---
- Won't resist any opportunity to tease one of his friends or people he's comfortable around, and even then it'll just be a light thing like when they failed a test or he saw they had a crush on someone in particular (yeah don't think he didn't see that blush-)
---
- Has no issue standing up for himself though, his entire demeanor seems to change on a dime if he sees someone close to him being threatened. One moment he can be all smiles, the next thunder is practically crackling behind him cause you ticked him off by hurting what's his. When it comes to someone insulting him then he'll shrug it off, he doesn't care what they think. Let the public make rumors.
---
- Quite forgetful, he literally forgets what happened yesterday and sometimes conversations that happened an hour ago, thus cue him downloading like- 10,000 reminder and schedule apps on his phone to keep himself in check
---
- Paisley hates staying still and finds he has to be in constant movement or activity or he gets a bit anxious. Thus you can probably find him walking the streets at 2 AM or just browsing through stores for the fun of it even if it's really cold or raining
---
- Adores astrology and stars with a burning passion. Don't even get him started, he could probably go on this entire tangent for hours on end just about one constellation or the pattern of stars or how they even originated like- please Paisley the waiter has been standing there listening for the past 45 minutes let them go-
---
- Has a bird he named Checkmate and by God he loves them with every fiber of his goddamn being- don't question the name- the vet already did and immediately regretted it, the man went on this entire tangent which spiraled into another because it somehow went into astrology
---
- Paisley works part-time at a flower shop helping out behind the register and sometimes arranging bouquets for people so he knows an thing or two about flower meanings. He just likes flowers-
---
- Direct eye contact makes him nervous because he feels like whoever is looking at him is picking him apart slowly or staring into his soul, thus he wears goggles when doing his usual hero patrols or a sun visor when going out or working at his job
---
- When working he speaks much louder so it's easier to understand him and the fact he feels more confident, it's hard to believe he's soft-spoken but other than that his personality is still the same

Evening falls on the capital city of Belfolk, dusk slowly trickling into night as the sky above glows with bright city lights. A pale crescent moon shines bright like a silvery claw in the night sky. The streets lay silent and undisturbed except for the passing of cars and the occasional barking of faraway dogs. Most of the shops in town have closed, except for the scattered gas stations and a local bank that is just nearing closing time.

The sidewalks are empty, and desolate street lamps flicker, casting odd shadows onto storefronts and into the alleys. Drunkards stumble out of bars and shady figures linger between buildings, but for the most part, the citizens are safe in their homes and getting ready for a good night's rest. Everything tonight seems peaceful.

Until that bank that was mentioned erupts in chaos, that is.

A flood of people burst out the doors. Mothers hold onto crying children and couples cling to each other as they all run out into the streets. Horns blare and vehicles swerve to avoid the wave of people, sirens echoing in the distance as first responders rush to the scene. The once serene atmosphere is shattered into pieces by a single man.

They are all safe, thankfully, but that isn’t the case for the robber still inside. Alarms blare as the man flings himself up the stairs. Flashing red lights silhouette his back as he runs, heading towards the roof rather than the front doors. A sack of cash weighs heavy on his back, filled with loose change from his former captives and money from the registers. He’s careful: The only bills inside are fives and twenties, unmarked and untraceable.

He bursts out onto the roof with a bang, the door slamming shut behind him as he strolls out to the center. The grey half cloak he wears billows out behind him, showing off the item’s cropped top and slit back. A corset waist belt, black in color, covers his stomach, and dark slacks ripple down his legs as they carry him forward to peer off the edge. His knee-high, wedge platform boots bump against the railing.

Citizens stand across the street, corralled back by the city police, but curious nonetheless. Some mutter nervously as they watch the scene unfold while others pull out cell phones, camcorders, and anything else they can use to take photographs and videos of the event.

Villain attacks, while not all that uncommon, tend to be rather violent, forcing entire streets to be cleared and leaving no one to document the fight except for the occasional heli. Being so close to the action this time is exhilarating for reporters and civilians alike, all chomping at the bit to catch a first-hand glimpse of the no doubt spectacular battle that is about to commence.

By now, the heroes have already been notified. Someone will show up any second to take down the perpetrator. The mass titters with excitement.

Choppers soar through the air, shining beams of light onto the roof of the building and casting the figure above in shadow. Giant wings unfurl, spread wide in a beautiful display of ebony and indigo, drips of gold tipping each feather. The hooded villain looks out at the spectators, wings twitching before they pull in again. The eager chatter slows to a stop at the sight, and nervous murmurs begin to spread throughout the crowd.

What they first perceived as a nobody bank robber turns out to be somebody after all. A rather big somebody.

Sariel is the moniker he goes by, the name holding a biblical meaning that is lost on most people. Many, in lieu of his nickname, simply call him The Angel. While the man isn’t strictly dangerous, his skill as a thief is unmatched, and his reputation as the only known avian who can fly puts him high on the media’s radar. The helicopters broadcast the situation dutifully, the stream feeding into several channels and featuring on every display screen in town. One ambitious crew dips closer for a better look.

The Angel's head tips up towards the camera. An ornate, black Baroque mask covers the lower half of the man's face. Thin metal feathers flare out like wings, curling up and in to frame the pale skin underneath. Crystal blue eyes stare upwards, shining in the minimal light created by the camera's flashes. A sword sheath rests snug against his back, and the utility belt around his waist bursts with several undeterminable tools from this distance. What can be seen is the Glock the man wields as he twirls the trigger around his finger.

The chopper swerves back and to the side, out of range of any possible shots. Sariel doesn't seem to care, simply swinging the gun one last time before holstering it to his thigh. The villain moves to leave, hopping onto the railing and spreading inky wings wide, but pauses, head tilting. The appendages lower an inch as the man's head whips to the side, listening for something.

Paisley is refered to as Aegis when he's in his hero costume :)
Also haven't proofread much, sorry if something doesn't make sense! I'll be doing a read over next time I'm free :)

~-+★+-~

It was one of those particularly quiet nights within the flower shop, unlike other nights that Paisley had seen within the city. Sometimes loud, rebellious teens would walk across streets, some half drunk out of their minds, others laughing and shoving one another as they ambled clumsily across the cracked sidewalk long overdue for a freshen, other times it would be some creep muming under their breath or a bunch of girls on their way somewhere for one of those… "Girls nights out" Paisley thinks they're called. When none of those happened, it would be cars that filled the gaps of silence with their loud engines and thick exhaust going into the air once more to taint the already polluted skies of the city he lived in. But tonight, none of those were happening, so here Paisley was, standing behind the dark wooden counter of his part-time job in silence and finishing up cleaning before he left for the night having had to stay longer because a customer had come in seconds before he was about to leave for closing. Of course, he could have just asked his coworker in the back to handle it, but waved them off and told them to go home because they already looked half asleep when she poked her head through the door and Paisley didn't really trust her to be able to handle flowers in their disheveled state. Sitting on the counter, somewhat precariously by the corner, sat a small TV. Boxy in shape and a soft grey in color as it was one of those old models, but functional as its long obsidian chord was plugged into an outlet a few inches from where it was perched, a random channel droning on in the background as he finished the last of what he had to do.

"Exactly 5 minutes ago, the alarms from a bank on Rustbill Rd. chimed in response to someone managing to break into its vaults after it was about to close in a few minutes. Blah blah blah… We're on our way there now to get the latest scoop."

Paisley sighed, tired, and maybe spitefully tuning out the news channel at the current moment because he wanted a way to get back at the world for making him stay late on a shift for his part-time job. He was supposed to be home already, sitting on his couch with his tiny bird Checkmate and snuggled into the itchy but somehow also warm blanket his sister had gotten for him last week, not within the confines of an almost eerily empty flower shop with the moon practically flowering at his back. Though he did suppose maybe after he finished up here if he was going to stay late he might as well stay up late too to make a quick patrol around the city. Yeah, that sounded nice, hopefully nothing too drastic would be happening tonight and he could just enjoy his time feeling the cold midnight air bite into his skin as he ran across the flattened tops of buildings. Er- right. Cleaning first. Gently, he picked up a petal from a rose that lay discarded on the counter, feeling the velvety texture between his fingers before sighing and watching it disappear into the trash bin and picking up the broom again. Messes were just a daily occurance to him at this point, especially during late shifts in the afternoon when people would walk in alone wanting to get something nice for a friend or family member or it was a couple cooning over the different flowers together or even a little child with grubby, greasy hands, who looked around in either complete distaste or wonder to the colors around them lining the walls while trying not to be separated from their parents tight grasp as they tried maneuvering through the much too small shop. The late night customer hadn't been a child accompanying their parent on errands though, nor a couple who were out on a date night, instead, they had been a half drunk adolescent male who staggered in through the oak door and demanded a bouquet of flowers, proclaiming through slurred speech that it was absolutely urgent.

Paisley remembered standing behind the counter listening to their slurred ramblings as they somehow managed to simultaneously talk about their day and what kind of flowers they wanted. He was almost impressed, if not for the fact their clothes were disheveled and all over the place and the person looked on the verge of collapsing as their knees shook beneath their own weight, practically draping themselves over the counter as they waved their hand around nearly knocking over a tall, thin vase with a single crimson rose sat in it. Paisley had finally managed to convince them to go home once assuring them that 1) Payment wasn't necessary until it was complete and 2) the bouquet would be ready for them tomorrow considering the fact they remembered when they woke up tomorrow and didn't have too much of a migraine to come and get it. Slopily, they had somehow managed to walk to the door and leave, though somewhat Begrudgingly as Paisley gave them a smile and a quiet 'come again!' that he doubted they were able to hear as they began their trek home down the cracked and broken pavement of the sidewalk. The shop in question wasn't in the most expensive of locations, as several roads and sidewalks were in need of repair, some more so than others, the buildings around the area were shabby looking on the outside and not much better internally, and one or two shops had boarded windows because they had shut down. It was fine though, Paisley liked his part-time job and despite the area being a rather poor looking one the people who usually came by were nice. The population of the few streets in the area was small enough that one of Paisley's coworkers practically knew everyone by name at this point, a feat that he himself wouldn't ever be able to accomplish because of his faulty memory, hence the thousands of apps on his phone, most of them reminders or planners of some sort.

"The thief has just gotten to the roof with a giant sack of cash with them! Helicopters are trying to get a closer look right now."

Paisley paused, head finally lifting so he could turn it towards his right to be able to watch the screen on the small TV change perspectives from the face of a young looking brown-haired women that he assumed to be the news reporter speaking moments prior, to a new shot instead of a skyward view of the bank at the roof. Indeed, there was someone standing there as the door behind them was flung open and cash was carried securely within their grasp. The camera circled slightly around them as the helicopter swerved, like trying to avoid something, before the camera finally evened out once more to the point Paisley could evaluate whatever the camera was able to catch. The thief wore a grey colored cloak, door now shut behind them and he narrowed his stormy grey eyes in order to try and see what they had on their belt that was now visible. Dark colored clothes, platform boots, and holy crap we're those wings?! Paisley felt his breath catch slightly before he was quick to grab the keys laying on the counter next to the cash register and lean the broom he had once been holding half-hazardly against the nearest wall before he booked it out of the shop, not bothering on listening to the chatter of the news anymore as he snatched the remote from where it was and clicked the screen off, placing it down afterwards on whatever surface was closest to him as he made haste out the door, lights flickering off behind him before he locked it behind him, fumbling with the keys a little as he noticed his hands shaking a bit. Paisley huffed before pocketing the keys, turning around and heading towards where the bank was. In his head, he tried estimating how much time it would take to make it to the bank before any other heroes appeared on the scene or the villain, Sariel he assumed it was, escaped with the cash. Quickening his pace, Paisley lightly bit his lip.

~~~
Aegis turned his head skyward as he approached the bank at a rapid pace, the world now tinted black as he stared at it behind black lensed bronze goggles that sat over his stormy grey colored eyes, one of his hands clutching the handle of his steel halberd that was slotted securely in a loop situated on the belt around his waist, dark blue colored side-cape billowing within the wind. Skidding to a stop a considerable distance from the glass doors to the bank, he huffed as he examined the ever growing crowd with cameras and phones held high above their heads as they all desperately wanted to snap a shot or record a video of the black silhouetted figure standing on the roof of the bank illuminated by the helicopters white lights, but doing little for the hero to be able to discern their face at all. Lifting his hand slightly, Aegis felt the weight of his weapon at his side before taking a breath, looking around for an alternative way up that wouldn't involve running through the crowd or ducking beneath the helicopter before spotting a building that looked easily enough to scale without a ladder and was close enough so he wouldn't have to waste too much time going around. It was easy enough to find his footing, his right shoe digging as far as it could into the building, weight pushed heavily onto the sole of his sneaker as it found a perch on the crevice between the two bricks before he found footing for his left and continued scaling it until landing in a slight crouch once reaching the roof. The hero was a distance close enough so that he could still see Sariel's figure against the dark screen of midnight over the city, not that it would matter anyway with the practical beacon beaming down on them from the helicopter. He sighed, Halberd now fully from the loops on his belt and held somewhat fidgety in his hands before his grip tightened and he took a running Jump onto the next building now behind where the bank was. Aegis's nerves were on high as he fully expected a fight, he would be surprised if there wasn't honestly. The last one he had gotten in had been far from pretty in terms of all the damage that happened to the city, as he remembered parts of bricks discarded on shattered roads and tiny pieces of glass scattered on the floor, some turned to practically sand below everyone's shoes as citizens screamed and ran for cover.
He landed with a thump as his shoes made impact, the hero's outfit most likely discernable now if one was to squint hard enough and his silhouette most definitely visible, though the hero themself found the fact of wearing dark tinted goggles quite bothersome during the nighttime. He would have to fix that later. The helicopter was too focused on capturing footage of Sariel to notice Aegis quite yet, and noticing the villain pause he cursed his luck for being too loud on his approach, resorting to just clearing his throat loudly and slamming the bottom of his halberd's handle into the roof where he stood. He could feel eyes turn towards his direction, just knew that people were now murmuring under their breaths about the new arrival, and quite frankly he had to restrain himself from tensing, keeping his posture straight but also relaxed, shoulders down as his hand gripped the handle of his weapon maybe a little too tightly.
"Hi, hello. Couldn't help but notice the bag of cash you've got, mind telling me where you got it from?"
He walked closer to the edge of the roof where he was standing, now practically teetering on the edge as he tilted his head ever so slightly to the right and let the wind carry his side cape away from where it would usually lay against his shoulder. Aegis couldn't help the soft smile pulling at the edge of his lips, the look not unkind as he tilted his head a bit to the right before crossing the gap between the bank and building he once stood on. The new arrival of people within the crowd and the raising of even more media devices didn't drag the hero's attention from his target, eyes darting from the cash he held, to the belt around his waist with his arsenals, to the villain's hidden face and back all over again. The helicopter made a constant humming noise in the background, the thing getting rather annoying as the propeller could practically be its own tornado warning at this point and the beams from it switching between the two, breaths held in anticipation for the fight and yet the people still not leaving. Unwise of them, he noted, but they wouldn't be his priority for now. Focus Paisley, eyes on the target.
"I'm going to have to ask you to return it, please."
The hero took a few steps forward, the Halberd level at his side like one of those weapons used for medieval jousting as it was gripped in his right hand, kind smile still on his face and voice light, but somewhat loud all the same. Whether it was drowned out by the helicopter propellers or not though he couldn't discern, as he's been told before loud for him still meant quiet for others. He was maybe 10 feet from the villain now, stopping in his tracks and staring them down, waiting, analyzing to try and see where he could make his move to resolve this as fast as possible. He would be fine, he reasoned.
