It's the year 2023, and the Ravik pack has hit their peak. Their peace treaties with other packs in different regions hold strong and steady, and their territory thrives. Nothing threatens them, not even that beast that they had to take care of a little over a year ago now. Pack members have started to get civilian jobs out in the town, finding it better to be out there then at the pack house all day when the waters are still. The pack's alpha, Ikaris, is seemingly the same reckless man as always. Life wouldn't be life if he didn't manage to stir up some sort of worry, right?
That is exactly what happens one fateful night.
It started off as just one drink at the local bar in town, just one. As always, that one turned into two, then three, four, five.... it never took him long to succumb to the addicting liquid. This time, instead of picking a fight he could win, the werewolf managed to pick a fight with someone he most definitely could not beat. At first, the stranger's superhuman strength slipped his radar. It wasn't until he was quite literally thrown across the room that he realized he had royally fucked up. Ikaris had only heard about creatures like these in stories from his parents and grandparents, they assured him that they were long gone. Yet here he was, laying on the floor as a vampire looked down on him.
Towering above the werewolf was an auburn-haired man, his brown eyes flashing a crimson red as he smiled. Two fangs slid out from their hidden place under his gums, "See you later, wolfy."

This roleplay will start after Ikaris' interaction with the vampire. He might try to tell the pack about the vampire right away, or he may wait. I haven't decided quite yet!

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽ werewolf ⋆ alpha male ⋆ mentions: open
It was only 6pm and Ikaris was already over today. The alpha male sat in the driver's seat of his car with the windows rolled down, one hand sticking out of the window with a cigarette between his index and middle finger. It was a rare occasion, to see him with a cigarette. Normally he frowned upon it, the smell being unbearable to him. However, when things became too much for him, suddenly the smell wasn't so bad. A puff of smoke slipped out from between his lips, and a second later he was putting the cancer stick back between his lips, inhaling deeply before he draped his hand out of the window again. This was arguably a better way for him to handle things. Typically going to the bar and going for a few rounds was the move, but not tonight. Not after last night. He was still trying to piece together what had happened.
Too much had happened. His experience started with a very familiar blonde woman. Since when was Elle in town? And since when was she a fucking bartender at the bar? A laugh escaped Kari's lips. She was harmless, but she scared him. Pathetic. Get yourself together. Flicking the cigarette out of his hand, he set his head back against the headrest. Elle hadn't even recognized him at first, and he didn't blame her. The last time they saw each other was years ago. She did recognize him though, and when she did she damn near screamed. Kari was too stunned, standing in silence as she practically skipped over to him, a warm smile plastered on her face as she stood up on her tippy toes and ruffled his hair. Such a seemingly harmless act had caused a shiver to run down the length of his spine, making his hands shake ever so slightly. She didn't seem to notice... or perhaps she did and didn't care, it wouldn't be the first time she ignored his discomfort.
Kari fell right back into his old habits, putting on a smile and greeting her. He even let her grab onto his hand and lead him over to a bar stool, "Bourbon, right?" Ikaris nodded, "Y-yeah, bourbon." Elle ignored the stutter and hummed happily as she poured his drink. Then, she questioned him. The typical, 'how have you been?' 'how are mom and dad?' 'did you miss me?' 'are you seeing anyone right now?' and perhaps a few more questions that he couldn't quite remember at the moment.
Shaking the replay of events out of his head, the werewolf took another hit from the cigarette and flicked it out of his grasp as he let out a shaky breath. That damn woman. Why did he entertain her by responding to her? Why did he let her talk him into- stop. Kari hit his hands down on the steering wheel, brows furrowed as he cursed at himself. He couldn't think about it, he shouldn't. His actions were his own, with or without the alcohol.
Getting out of the car, Ikaris took a deep breathe and made his way up the steps to the front porch. As he walked in the front door, he hung the keys up on one of the open hooks that hung from the wall and made his way into the kitchen. A glass of orange juice sounded good. He could wait until later tonight to have a couple of drinks from the bourbon bottle he had stashed away in his room. Perhaps he'd try to paint to get rid of his pent up emotions, or he'd take a trip to the gym they had setup downstairs. The idea of punching a bag until his hands became numb sounded more and more tempting as he thought about it. Edited at October 27, 2022 08:29 PM by Tynahi

༺ Mosi Kana′tĭ ༻ Scout • 24 Female • M: Ikaris(ind)
Mosi adjusted the strap on her boxing glove before getting back into position. Taking a breath before her fists began flying at the bunching bag infront of her. Most of the pack did their training in the morning but she preferred the adrenaline she got at night to train. Her straight black hair was pulled back into a braid. A few strands stuck to her face with sweat as she moved with ease and precision hitting the bag in the exact spots she wanted. • She had gotten home from patrol about an hour ago and made dinner. Her instinct to keep her pack fed overruling her want to go work out immediately. She had put all the dinners into separate containers for everyone. With there names on them as per usual. Knowing they would eat when ever they made their way down or from where ever they happened to be. Now she was finally able to work out her pent up energy from patrol. All had been quiet tonight but her mind sensed that something was stirring. She just didn't know what yet. After a boring patrol she needed to do something. So here she was beating the shit out of the pack houses punching bag. • Onyx colored eyes closed. She began practicing striking by just using her other senses to locate the target. Even with one earbud in blasting music she located the bag each time. However as the song switched momentarily distracting her. The bag hit her square in the face as it came back towards her. With a slight chuckle Mosi opened her eyes. "Alright that's enough music then" walking over to her bottle of water and towel she set the earbud down next to its other half. Wiping her brow of sweat with the towel before going back over. Taking up the correct stance. Hitting it once before her ears pricked. • Hearing tires on gravel then the front door unlock. Even from the few floors above. Her fist paused a hairs breath from the swaying punching bag. Sharp hearing picking up how many keys she heard. By the sound she knew who was home. 'Ikaris'. He was home earlier than usual. Hearing the footsteps move towards the kitchen she took her attention away and back to the now stationary bag. Taking a sip of water then with a grounding sigh she went back to her work out. Edited at October 27, 2022 09:40 PM by Ravensrun

Simon Oliver Reed Pack Member || M || Mentions: Ikaris; Mosi; pack. Much of the day was spent organizing his belongings from boxes on to shelves and playing with trinkets he found while rummaging. Old cards, plushies, action figures, baby clothes - you name it, it was there. His mother had dropped off the last of his childhood relics early this morning, and over a cup of coffee, they chatted about life before she was called elsewhere. She had saved everything, Simon thought, as he paged through poorly colored in coloring books. A few broken crayons had melted into the pages from years of being crammed up into an attic. + The sentimentals of the day were what lead Simon into a bittersweet, emotional state. It was overwhelming to recall and remember what life was like for him when he received each of these items; a card from his eighth birthday; a keychain from his first car; a baggy of dried flowers that were tied into a crown. He sat down onto his sofa and exhaled shakily as he skimmed through childhood momentos and photo albums. The young man wiped away a tear as he reached for his phone. It was better to strike up conversation with someone than dwell on the past, he decided, and set the book down on the seat beside him. So many hours spent digging in all of this was driving him crazy. + Opening his phone, he selected each member of the pack as receivers. Simon: Anyone free to hang out tonight? Bored stiff here haha. 6:10pm Sent
| + He had gazed at the screen for a second or two after, rereading and rereading his words over and over again. He had turned up the notification volume and turned the screen off, resting it on his chest, and he slowly reclined his head back as a long sigh fell from his lips. "What a day," he mumbled to himself and rubbed two fingers between his eyebrows where tension had built. Edited at October 27, 2022 10:54 PM by Nox

Calloway Royce II Lead Vampire || M || Mentions: open. The hunger. It hurt; it gnawed; it demanded. Calloway paced back and forth with a cigarette in his mouth and lighter clicking away in his cold, pale hand. He puffed away at the bud and stared at the murky alleyway ground, at the broken and cracked and blackened narrow roadway. His car was parked at the end of it, diagonally, haphazardly, with some of the alley's liquids spattered onto the side of it. It was dark in the street, with the alleyway providing much needed refuge against the last ebbs of daylight. + The cigarette was not enough to calm his frantic mind, and Calloway released a loud, gutteral yell into the crisp air before his teeth grit and his hands balled into fists to pound helplessly at the side of the burned down building he stood beside. The vampire collapsed to his knees then, tears welled up within his haunted gray eyes, and he dropped the cigarette in his hand onto the soggy, filthy alley floor. + "I'm so sorry," Cal cried, and smacked his hand against one of the burnt structural support beams. The whack caused some crumbling, and the man stiffened as rubble pounded onto his shoulders like little pieces of hail. "I never should have...we shouldn't have had that fight," Calloway breathlessly panted out, and slowly brought himself back upright. There was a gap large enough for him to press inside, and he did. Ash and soot smeared onto his face and white shirt. + Karina's little house was so unlike anything that he was used to. It was small and unkempt, but happy. The blackened, charred walls were once springy yellow, and what was left of the ceiling was no longer the wooden paneling they had installed together. Memories flogged his mind as he remembered kissing her in the kitchen as he passed through the remains of it, and how he had proposed to her in this very spot of the living room. Their bedroom was ten steps to the left, he would never forget it, but now, now it was a hole. Gone. + The fire department was not sure if it had been an accidental fire or a purposeful one, but it had been enough to kill her, one year ago today. He stopped at the where the front door has been and exhaled slowly as visions of their fight had played out in his mind. The very last things he had said to her were filled up with so much hate. He reached for the doorknob reflexively, but there was nothing. Plywood had boarded up the door. He closed his eyes slowly. "I'm sorry, Karina," Calloway said flatly. "I am everything that you said I was. A bad guy. A monster," his voice broke and recovered mid sentence. "I didn't choose to end up like this, and I can't control it. The- hate, the hunger...it consumes me," Calloway said. "I guess I came here today to tell you that I can't keep my promise. I have to kill." + By the time he came back to his car, his black jeans, white shirt, forearms, face, and neck were gritty from soot. He had started to drive back to his home. It was one of the largest homes in the town, and his coven were welcomed to come and go as they please. Hell, all of them could have their own bedroom and there'd still be spare space. As he pulled up the driveway and numbly walked inside, he wondered who may be in his home, but didn't bother yelling to anyone in greeting. He has immediately trekked to the fridge to sort through milk cartons. After selecting the one, he sloshed it around and poured it out. Deer's blood poured into a glass on the counter, and the vampire drank desperately. It would be enough to sate him for the moment, but the desire for human blood was always there. It hasn't left his mind since he had gotten his first taste of it. Edited at October 28, 2022 09:11 AM by Nox

Briar Solanine Tinuviel The Beta Male | Male | Mentions: Ikaris, The Pack A young male was comfortably dug in his bed covers. The sweet sensation of slumber entrancing him, and it seemed finally one off he local insomniacs was getting some well-deserved rest. However, that was interrupted with a buzz of his phone. A slight grumble of annoyance and a shift in position as he tried to ignore the annoying sound. And then another flip and then finally his eyes snapped open with annoyance at the message. His brows furrowed in annoyance as the cerulean light bathed his face in the darkness of the room and he read over the send message. He gave a short scoff, he may be Beta but he doesn't do 'hangouts' . He then proceeded to sent his most logical response that conveyed his annoyance and disdain for the situation of his sleep being disrupted. And anyone who knew him thoroughly knew a poorly rested Briar was an unhappy one and one who was rather grouchy and even more unpleasant , and they would face his fury if his slumber was interrupted. Briar: " You've disrupted my sleep. I haven't slept in nearly 72 hours. You may perish ." 6:13 P.M. Delivered | He then tossed his phone back on his bed and flopped back under the covers and tried to fall back asleep, to no avail. He let out a frustrated groan, and begrudgingly got out of his bed to go to his restroom and clean his face. His hair was in a bonnet and he wore a simple shirt and a pair of shorts. So, he began washing his face and brushing his teeth, and once done with that he turned on the lights within his room and began changing his clothes. He put on a pair of long and warm white socks, and a pair of jeans and a rather comfy tan turtle neck and some white sneakers. He usually wasn't this casual around the pack, but he was rather lazy at the moment. And he took the time to bug his hair in a proper bun and find his glasses. Now all he needed was coffee and food. His usual look of passive-aggressive annoyance was on his face as he walked the hallways. And that's when he heard the door open and footsteps, and he noted Ikaris coming in and hummed to himself as a note. He didn't mind the male, and so he went to go to the coffee machine when a scent hit his nose. And he coughed a bit, and he could feel him nose scrunch up at it. And slowly he turned to find the source to be Ikaris, and his eyes narrowed. He was Beta, and a rather close friend of him, in his opinion and facts. Now Briar wasn't all touchy-feely but he was a bit weirded out by the smell of a cigarette. And he looked at Ikaris cautiously before stepping closer and taking in his scent, leaning a bit closer than normal or necessary. " Ikaris. " he said deadly calm, not using annoyed nickname or title, but his name, " have you been smoking and drinking again? " he asked as he had caught the cigarette smoke, but there was also the smell of alcohol as well. And he knew the male had been doing his best to quit the habit, or at least make it infrequent, what would cause him to- and that's when it hit him. An overly sweet and sickening scent that he absolutely loathed, and he without a thought took the males hand gingerly where the hands of that vile woman had dared touch Ikaris. After all she had done, he could feel his teeth grit a bit and eyes narrow at the thought of her. If anything, his face conveyed his displeasure and annoyance, a rather unusual thing to see unless he was scolding you. "That vile . . . loathesome . . . psychotic . . . witch of a woman. No, a cunt, better yet a pest that needs to be exterminated." He said in a mini rant as he paced - if anything to anyone watching it would definitely appear as if he was jealous something. No one could every truly know, " can't that loathesome cockroach not die? Ughh, why must she come and ruin everything." He huffed in a venomous tone at the scent of Ikaris ex-girlfriend. And he gave an uncommonly soft sigh and patted the cheek of the male to get him out of a daze, " you okay boss man? Need me to arrange a murder ? Because I'll be happy to oblige." He said a bit too enthusiastic at the thought of getting rid of the problem. Edited at October 27, 2022 11:45 PM by Spellbound
