Background/Lore:

The beautiful canis lupus are nearly on top of their food chain. For what reason? Is it their dominant nature? Or their adaptability? Or their resilience? Well, the answer is all above.. But a pack is how the wolves are dominant apex predators. One wolf is nothing, but a pack of wolves should be feared.. Necessarily one of the most feared packs in wolf history.. Blood of the Borealis Pack.. A pack that has reigned throughout decades. The Blood of the Borealis pack is known for their numbers and a great line of alpha that have established peace and order within the pack. A pack that had constant 50 wolves strong until one year of nothing but chaos that ransacked the pack within months.. First, in early spring through the summer came the disease that was unknown and deadly. The disease that slowly killed most of the wolves and nearly all pups. Then the disease slowly ceased to an end wiping about half of the pack. Then later summer, the famine began. Though it did not nearly kill as many, but picking off the weaker ones. The most damage it had done was the wolves’ spirits to survive. As the wolves were once hunters have become scavengers. After the famine came the usurper. The male wolf that murdered the alpha pair to reign.

Now after all the tragedies of the unknown disease, famine, and the usurper. The leftover wolves have entered a new era and new year. Winter is nearly over and new ranks will be established. Some wolves are with the usurper and some others are not. The Blood of Borealis Pack believes the terror is over, but is it?

Rankings by order:

High Rankings:

Alpha Male:

Most dominant and respected male wolf of the pack. He gives all orders and carries out punishments to others. His word is law to go behind it, would be treason.

Alpha Female:

The trusted mate of the alpha male that has much as authority as him. She is in charge of hunting patrols.

Betas:

A male and female pair that can be mated pair. But in other cases they may not. They are selected to be informants and best for advice for the alpha’s. They are the second dominant position. Usually in charge of leading and ordering border patrols.

The Reaper:

A known trusted follower of the alpha’s that will do his bidding and help with punishment if there is any? Think of this rank as the alpha’s guard or executioner or spy. Max of 3

Oracle:

Similar to the Druid Rank, but has a little more importance.. The Oracle is wolf that can be believed or not believed in as a wolf that can see visions and omens. Though they cannot give an answer directly about the visions or omens. They are spoken through riddles. As the visions and omens are not clear through for interpretation. They hold a significance for Neophyte's ceremony, senitnel, and all other high ranking. This position is hand selected by the Oracle themselves.

Druid:

A druid is the pack's most sacred rank for their healing talents and as the advice givers. This wolf is spiritual and must be peaceful mediators. This wolf cannot take any mate or bear any offspring.

Heda:

The spokesperson of the sentinels. The wolf that has authority to choose neophytes mentors and in charge of training. The importance of the heda is through specialized combat and battle strategies for larger predators or wolf threats. Though they have no authoirty above them. They also settle the pecking order through the sentinels and try to settle disputes before the Betas or Alpha's get involved.

The Middle Rankings:

Sentinels:

The blunt force of the pack that are soldiers. The majority of the pack that hunt, kill, and reproduce. They have their own pecking order.

Neophytes:

The juveniles moving their way up to the sentinels that will be buried with chores and training until their Sentinel ceremony. Though if they fail their assessment, they will be exiled in dishonor. Age of training starts at 1 year old and ends at 2 year old in same season that they begin training.

Scions:

The youth or the pups that only worry are to be fed, sleep, and play. No pup will be mistreated or left alone.

The Lowest Ranking:

Ignominies:

A wolf or wolves that have dishonored or disgraced due to disobeying. Usually as a punishment, but sometimes for a disability but have proved their worth. They are to do chores at the whim of the Alphas. They are also playthings for pups.

Everest is a strategic she wolf and always is one step in front of the others. She may be seen as her father's daughter. But she isn't thing as just. She may have some of his personality traits. But she has just of her mother's. She is fighter/warrior and is willing to fight anything that breathes differently at her.

Sentinel

Appearance:

Everest is a little over 30 inches tall at the shoulder and weighing around 120 pounds. Though her body is long and sleek meant for her name. Everest.. She has long legs and her body is sleek and narrow built for her agility and to be athletic for fighting and hunting performances. Though she get bulkier around the shoulders. Though during her time of being nomadic ways with constant running and traveling on different terrains she has begun to fill out her muscles and become more muscle toned in her body. She is just an average built wolf with just a taller gene.

Her coloring is on the greyscale with shades of winter or with dark gray that grows to a faded black on the tips of her fur. As it gives almost a darkish blue hue in the sunlight. Though she has mixtures of light soft grey as undercoat and parts of her and underbelly. She has more of white and cream mixture with the lighter grey area. Her face is mostly light grey with her dark grey and black making a almost out of shapre around the face. Her ears are oval with longer fur like eartuft coming out that are light grey. Her fur is rather medium as it's longer in the winter and shorter in the summer months. Though her fur looks shiny and never looks dirty. Her scent is a very luxury smell a mixture of rose and rain. Everest eye's are the only attractive part of her appearance as it's piercing light yellow.

Everest is definetly not an attractive she wolf to others. Time in the wild alone as put a cost on her appearance with scars and fights against everything to alive. She has claw marks across her snout and down the sides of her body. She is battle scorned she wolf and rather not speak about them as it's reminder of the time of her loneliness and what she had to survive. Her scars are to deep and no fur every grey back. Her left face is scarred by a long scratch mark that cover it and barely reaches her neck. Luckily her eye and eyesight are in tact. Though she isn't ashamed of them, but she doesn't like to speak how she got them. She just lives how it scorned her looks and how noticeable they are.

Personality:

Cold, Stubborn, Independent, Malicious, Vicious

She keeps mostly to herself as she has lost her socialization life. Her time of being alone has made her more quiet and offish. She is more to speak when she is aknowledged and doesn't like to strike a conversation for the joy out of it. She has more of cold demeanor to keep others away from her instead of being attached to her. Though she becomes deeply attached to others even if they are not the nicest and have no worthiness for it. She has no idea why her heart and mind becomes to attach to those that even get a chance to know her. She has a hell of time of opening up the closed off outer shell of others that she put up. She can be trusted with anything because she knows how trust can be hard to give. Cause she will never fully trust an indvidual as being out in the dangers of the wild has taught her many lessons. She could only trust herself.

Though she has strong determination and selfworth to prove to others or most importantly herself. She has never been the only one to let up on a fight or a job. Call her merciless or cold hearted, but it is for herself to prove herself that she can do. She is a very stubborn creature as her heart is set on something than she going to try everything in her power to do it. Everest is often known for her selfless tactics and being quite careless of the consequence that can happen. With that once she finds a pack that proves she is apart of their family, then she is fiercely loyal and devoted to them. Because she has had never been in her corner and now she does.

She is calculating and quite resourceful when she displays this side of her. She has been surviving and have to be able to survive in frigid temperatures or around unknown creatures that could pose a threat. She has been known for great patience and willing to wait anything out to feelings to prey. Though she has never shown anything mean in her body until it hits a whisker than she turns to 10/10 lethal machine. She turns back to the feral wolf she became. Fight first and questions later type of way. She has moral code to her especially to justice. Her fairness is more medieval as it comes down to eye to eye fairness. Kill another then shall you be killed. Everest is the one you want to be a friend not a foe. She is a warrior spirit or soul to her that she will fight til her last breath. The one that will never quit pulling her punches with words or battle. She is a fierce friend and lover. Everest will always find a way to get even.

Her father, a monster in her eyes that makes her sick to her stomach. Once her best friend until they joined the Blood of The Borealis Pack. He is nothing to her and she is not afraid to call him out in private or public. Though she has to be smart about it, because she knows he would kill her for it.
