We, the Royal Family of Illasia, the Draeken Family, invite every eligible maiden from east to west, north to south, to attend this week's festivities.
Many of you are aware, but the Prince is to Ascend to the throne before the next Spring sets in. We offer this opportunity for any eligible maiden to come and meet the Prince, for she just might be selected to be his Wife, and the future Queen of Illasia.
Commoner, Nobility, and Royalty alike, we implore all of you to attend, if nothing else than to attend the wedding at the end and later the inaugeration of the Prince.

| __________________________ Whispers of excitement bubble through the streets as the letters are sent out to every house in Illasia, ever neighboring Kingdom, and other countries and as well. The invitation is clear: Any and every eligible maiden is to arrive in Illasia in hopes of finding the Prince a wife. Known to be unimpressed and disinterested, the Heir to the Draeken's throne has rejected every marriage proposal his family has offered for him. Despite his protests, though, the rule is clear: In order for him to ascend to the Throne, he needs to find a wife. With the day of his would be inaugeration creeping closer, the Prince's parents make a last ditch effort to ensure a match for their tempermental son. Along with the letter an itinerary of what the week will hold was sent, so everyone would know what to expect. As is custom, though, the whole ordeal is to start with a ball, introducing the eligible maidens to the Prince. Families far and wide send their daughters in hopes that they may catch the eye of the Prince. Some even send their sons, hoping that alliances might be formed in the midst of all the drama. Some guests come seeking love and a chance at a life they've only every dreamt of. While others come seeking power, wondering if they might be able to use this week to increase their standing amongst the Kingdoms and Lands. |

The Roleplay Rules
Follow all of Eve's and WPs Rules.
1. Lets try to be active enough to keep the Rp going :)
2. This is a Semi-Literate Rp at Minimum. Rp posts should be about 100-300 Words Minimum, though I would like more.
3. No, not just the prince can fall in love, find a wife, etc. There will be plenty of room for all the drama and plots.
4. Maximum of 4 Characters Per Person for this Rp. I might adjust this later.
5. This is a Romance and Drama heavy plot, and will be driven by character interactions, subplots, etc. So please get involved in both Rp and Discussion.
6. This is a Fantasy Medieval type Rp, so Mythical Creatures/Fantasy Characters are accepted, as well as normal Humans.
7. Be Unique with your character. Create an interesting story for them. Don't make them all weeping willows. Lets make this Rp Juicy.
8. The King and Queen of Illasia will be NPCs controlled by me, but I am definitely open to potentially letting younger siblings be made by y'all.

10. Since I own this Rp, I also reserve the right to deny applications. I may give you the opportunity to fix them, I may not. Depends on how frisky Im feeling.

The Roleplay Roles
As I said there will be a small variety of roles available for you to choose from. I'll try to explain them in as few words as possible, so if you have questions, ask!
The Prince
This character will be roleplayed by yours truly. He is the one who this whole thing is technically, that's the key word there, for. To help him find a suitable wife so he can take over as the new King.
The Maidens
These are the fair maidens who are vying to be the Princes choice to marry. They can be commoner, nobility, royalty, etc. whatever you prefer. They can have come of their own volition, or have been sent by their family despite their protests. They could be looking for love or power. Whatever you want. They do have to be women though.
The Attendees
These are the guests who, while they may not be the eligible maidens attending in hopes of being chosen, they have decided to attend for other reasons. It could be just to enjoy a good party, to maybe increase their standing, gain power, etc. They, like the maidens, can be of any origin.
The Knights
These are the soldiers, the guards, of Illasia who are tasked with keeping not only the Prince Safe, but the guests as well, especially the Maidens. After the introductory Ball, each Maiden will be assigned a Personal Knight [like a Body Guard] should she or her family desire it. One will also have been assigned to the Prince too. Most of these will be Male, but they can be Female.
The Servants
These are the Servants of the Castle who will be helping ensure the whole week goes smoothly from the background. Some of them, the ones classified as personal servants, will be assigned to the attending maidens as well to help the ladies with whatever they need. Some will also be assigned to guests of high standing. Most of these will be female, but male servants are also accepted. |
