Appearance: His hair is a plain black color and is dead straight with a length of about 9"; it goes to his shoulders. He's Japanese on his mother's side but was born in the United States so while he looks foreign, most of his customs and beliefs are American. He generally wears his hair in a ponytail or a bun, occasionally wearing it down when he feels like it. Maki is tall, 6'4, and has a muscled frame that shows off how much he works out. He's muscled, sure, but Maki is a little leaner than you'd expect and is a strong runner. Maki is one of those people who it's good at almost every sport. He's got a diagonal scar across his left eye that's pretty faint but not entirely invisible. His eyes are a dark mixture of stormy grey and deep sea blue but in the end his eyes usually seem more grey than blue. His skin is a pale white but not pasty as even with his skin tone, nothing can resist tanning a little bit under the amount of time he spends outside. His clothing choices honestly depend on how he's feeling. Angry, frustrated, motivated, suave, stressed but hiding it, or simply feeling professional are the emotions he's most likely feeling if he's dressed up nice and in a suit. Sad, depressed, sleep deprived, sleepy in general, super chill, bored, or just doesn't care is when he wears a pair of sweatpants and some random T-shirt. On just normal days where he's feeling upbeat or just normal, he wears a semi nice shirt or dress shirt with a pair of nice(er) pants/jeans. He'll occasionally wear these black glasses to work that make him look pretty cute, actually. He does really need glasses though as they are just for show. He might wear a black and gold wristwatch sometimes but it's never consistent. Personality: Well, the main thing that everyone can truthfully say about him easily is how nice he is. He's exceedingly polite and is an active listener. Maki isn't real expressive of himself sometimes but makes up for it with carefully selected words. Almost everyone whose met him loves him, platonically or romantically, but Maki doesn't seem to be involved with anyone. On the outside he's usually a calm and encouraging presence but on the inside, Maki is most likely the loneliest person you'll meet. All his life Maki was never noticed. Sure, people talked to him, called him sweet, talked to him some more. But nobody got to know him. He was always second to somebody. People always left him for someone else. It was never your fault, they said. Yet in the end he was always the last one left. Maki isn't exactly depressed now days but rather he's made peace with the fact that he will always be alone. So in the absence of people, Maki filled his life with things to do, hobbies. He worked out, exercised with the others even though he didn't want to join a sports team. He picked up birdwatching and drawing, preferring to simply sketch the birds he found and eventually got good at it. He excelled in his academics, easily getting into AP classes. But did anyone notice? Not really. A pat on the back, a good job, maybe even a hug. But no friends of any sort. It didn't matter anymore, though. He would carve his own future and he didn't need friends to do that. Or so he told himself. So he made peace with how he would always be and that was that. Now days, compared to his youth, Maki is content to simply blend into the background and watch the world around it rather than call for attention with his loud voice. He's got a perpetually sad look in his eyes but it's easily brushed aside when he's focused on something. Scientist at heart, Maki studies genetics, a field that's always fascinated him since reading the original Jurassic Park. He currently works at a lab with a few other people and is attempting to genetically modify mice so they can withstand certain strains of virus. History {Optional}: Most of it is already stated. Khiromaki Addler, prefers to go by Maki, semi famous scientist ( his work, titled " The Genetically Engineered Future ", caught the attention of a few high paying Corporations and that started his career as soon as he was hired. ), surprisingly young for his occupation, parents died when he was 16... The rest of his life is pretty scattered and not exactly full of highlights so I'll skip it.
Weapon: If anything Maki would choose a sword even through he has no idea how to wield one just because he'd look super badass. In reality Maki is an excellent martial artist so his weapon would probably be his body/brute strength? Skills {Limit is 3}: Good at almost anything athletic/physical, he knows ( sort of.. He learned when he was younger and forgot most of it ) how to survive ( for the most part ) in nature. He's also a skilled artist?
Likes {Optional}: Thunderstorms, Tom Hiddleson as Loki, strong tea, sweaters, the cold, cats, animals in general, running, being praised, when people notice him, verbal sparring, laughing, books, a fire in the fireplace, smores, Halloween, and the scent of cinnamon. Dislikes {Optional}: The heat, throwing up, alcohol, Axe deodorant, neon colors, rude people, football, cucumbers, and Earl Grey tea.
Crush: None Significant Other: None Children: Gods, no Pet(s) {Limit is 2}: It's not really a pet but Maki was transporting a lab animal that he thinks may have been the first successful gene splicing of a rabbit and a mouse. His other fellow scientists nicknamed the thing Loopes and it stuck. It was a pet project at the time but now that's its been successful it may become part of a main project. Loopes resembles fairly large mouse with a rabbit tail and longer ears than normal. Loopes is a she and she has pinkish eyes and pure white fur. It's docile and rather sweet. If not for the nasty looking teeth hidden behind innocent lips, Loopes might be the next popular family pet. Loopes eats almost anything from vegetation to human foods to even meat.
