Plot

A young knight is assigned to protect and escort the young princess to another kingdom where they are to meet their future husband. Along the way the two face many dangers, and found themselves on death's doorsteps more then once. However the two slowly began to fall for each other, yet the Princess says nothing knowing her duty ruled over her heart. Despite her love for her knight, her duty to her kingdom had to come first. But at the wedding the knight decided he could stand it no longer, and he speaks out, protesting against the wedding and throwing the two kingdoms in much chaos.

Drura
Drura is set in snow mountains. The castle sitting on top of one of the smaller mountains, while the village sits at the base of that mountain. A frozen pond on the other side, that the villagers break to get water. Even if they cannot grow crops all that good, there is great mining materials below them that help them achieve trading that keeps their kingdom alive. Drura is a smaller kingdom.
Xipan
Xipan is one of the largest kingdoms on the continent. It's landscape is very mixed. Some parts of it have hills, some of it is flat, and some of it has some mountains. There's even a lake at the base of the mountains.

Drura
Drura pretty much only resources is mining materials. Like iron, copper, gold, silver, gold, etc. While their climate is snowy. It often snows year round, and during the summer the snow is lighter and it is a bit warmer. But during spring and fall the snow is medium and it is chilly. However in winter the snow can get very heavy and it is freezing and it gets worse when the wind picks up.
Xipan
Xipan is known for its wide variety of animals because of its variety of landscape among its kingdom. Their climate varies. However it is typically pretty decent during the summer, spring, and fall. Not being to hot or to cold. However in the winter, well surprisingly there is pretty much no winter. It's very very rare for it to snow, and while the temperatures are never above 65, they are also very rarely lower then 45.

Drura
They speak Drioxpic and Etish. While the people are not fair skinned or tan, in fact they are white. Because they get barely no sun, and so they get quite white.

Languages are Oneti and Etish. They are typically tan

"Princess Eilki!" Came the call of a Xipan guard, and the princess halts Autumn glancing over her shoulder. "Jacob." She greets, Jacob was one of her father's personal guards. Jacob frowns slightly,"Princess, where is your guard?" Speaking of personal guards, Eilki's was nowhere in sight, and the princess grins mischievously,"They think I'm fast asleep in my room." Jacob shakes his head,"Your father wishes to speak with you, Princess." Eilki sighs,"Alright, I'll put Autumn up. Go change and head to the throne room." Jacob bows,"I'll inform the King." Eilki bobs her head,"Thank you." Then the guard was gone, Jacob had served the royal family for a while, and had earned the loyalty and trust of the royal family.

Eilki sighs as she swiftly undoes the makeshift bridle she had on Autumn, using a halter and lead rope,"Come on girl." Nyx leaps up from where she was laying following as Eilki leads her mare into the stables where Eilki puts the mare into her stall. The princess undoes the halter, patting her steed, before exiting. Shutting and securing the stall door behind her before hanging up the halter. "Come on, Nyx." Then the two were off, heading to the Princess' room. Where the guards were quite startled to see the princess walking towards them.

Eilki hides a laugh, as she enters her room, Nyx on her heels. Eilki shuts the door and heads to get the dress that she had laid out. A simple blue dress that went to her ankles, pulling it on. Before pulling on some simple flat shoes, then a crown on her head. Eilki double checks she looked presentable, and that she didn't smell like horses, and then the princess was off. This time with her personal guard, towards the throne room, Nyx at her side.

Once at the throne room, Eilki takes a deep breath before she opens the doors and enters, spotting her parents and siblings sitting in their thrones. One throne sat empty for Eilki who makes her way over,"Father, I was informed that you needed me?" The King inclines his head,"Indeed, daughter. Drura has accepted the marriage proposal." Eilki narrows her eyes,"Marriage proposal?" Ohulzu shoots a glance at his wife,"I thought you were aware of our coming alliance with Drura." Eilki bobs her head,"I did, but I did not know that you would be using me as a alliance sealer."

Iscuri teases,"Oh come on, sister, you should have known it was coming." Eilki flashes a smile at Iscuri,"I suppose I should have." She hesitates, wanting to snap and yell, however she simply bobs her head,"Very well." Ohulzu continues,"You will be escorted to Drura starting tomorrow." Eilki shoots a glance at her guards,"With my guards?" Ohulzu shakes his head,"Your guards will stay behind." Queen Rharenva protests,"Ohulzu!" Ohulzu quickly continues,"We are on the brink of war with Khiseon, we will need your guards. However, you will not be going alone."

Eilki's gaze flashes, however she simply raises an eyebrow, Ohulzu continuing,"I have sent a messenger to the leading knight of our knights, Kyle Harris, asking him if he would like to escort you to Drura." Eilki retorts,"And if he refuses?" Ohulzu frowns,"Then we will ask someone else, but mark my words daughter, you will not go to Drura alone." The Queen was just as willing to argue as her second eldest daughter,"And your going to send her into Drura with only one protector?" Ohulzu spares a glance towards Eilki then to Rharenva,"Drura is the smallest kingdom, they are not very powerful, and Eilki is very well versed in swordsmanship."

Those words earned the princess a glare, the king and queen had disapproved of Eilki learning swordsmanship, but they had been unable to stop the rebellious princess. Ohulzu continues,"As well in survival skills and basic defense, and the knight that will travel with her will be very very well versed in swordsmanship. Eilki will be well protected." Rharenva frowns and Ohulzu grimaces,"Besides, Drura will not risk our wrath." Eilki narrows her eyes,"How can you be so sure, father?"

Kyle sat at the table in his house his mind lost in thought, the home itself is small, having one ground floor and one bedroom. He didn't live the luxury life being the leader of the knights, he had been offered something nicer but he refused. He saw no reason to live in such h a big house. This one is perfect enough for him, at least. It has its own stable builder on the side of it which houses his beautiful black and white mare, Liberty. Kyle mostly kept to himself too out of work hours, he didn't like to mingle and preferred the peace. He honestly wanted to live a simple life, it did seem simple enough right now. He only had to train the other knights, which is a whole other task since some need more training then others. Kyle enjoyed training them though, he loved seeing their faces light up when they are told that they're doing a great job.

These men were training to become the best, to go to war and risk their lives. These men, or some of them are fairly still young and have no idea what they are getting themselves into. Kyle gave it to them straight, he wanted them to know what to expect but most seem to like having the thrill for adventure. Kyle was like that too when he was their age, though he isn't much older back when he was eighteen his head wasn't exactly screwed on right. He honestly thought he could conquer anything but after a few years of training really hard and then becoming leader of the knights..things changed. His whole attitude changed. Kyle isn't all serious though. He just doesn't have any friends to show his true self too but he always acted professional even after working with the other knights.

Kyle shakes his head, all these thoughts were hurting his head. He sighed deeply, picking up his sword, uts made of the best silver and has been passed down in his family for generations. The cross symbol is actually a symbol of his great-great-great grandfather, he believed that if an enemy is striked by the sword that their soul will be allowed to go to heaven. Kyle wasn't so sure about that, he hasn't actually used the sword to fight anyone though. Kyle even though being a Knight wasn't the violent type, it was the others who went to war if they needed too. Kyle did want to be part of the action, he wanted to help but he is needed here and he respects that. Kyle jumps when he hears a knock at the door, he stands up and walks over opening the door. A messenger standing on the other side "Goodmorning, Sir! I have a message from the king. He wishes to see you right away!" He says.

Kyle raised his brow, the King wishes to see him? The king never really bothered with him much before, unless there is a threat of war. Kyle nodded his head "Alright, I'll be there" He responds. The messager smiled before turning on his heels and walking away. Kyle runs his fingers through his dark black hair, at least he's already dressed in his lion blue armour. He leaves the house, closing the door and placing his sword in its protective pocket. He started to make his way toward the castle, he glances up toward it in awe. The castle has and always will amaze him, how people live in such a huge structure amazed him. Kyle started to feel nervous, but didn't show it. He's honestly curious to why the king wanted to see him but soon enough he'll find out.

Ohulzu frowns at Eilki, out of all of his children, Eilki was the most stubborn and rebellious. But what did the king expect? He had five kids, one of them was bound to be rebellious. Ohulzu sighs,"I'm not, but I trust Drura will not do anything stupid, lest they start a war and fall beneath the wrath of Xipan." Eilki frowns, opening her mouth to protest, however her mother intervenes,"Eilki." The princess sighs however dips her head,"Yes, father." Though many arguments still flashed through the princess' head as she looks away from her parents, holding her tongue.

"Oh, come on sis. Surely it won't be to bad?" Iscuri murmurs as he leans towards Eilki, a grin on his face. Eilki rolls her eyes at her older brother,"Hmm, probably because you'll get to stay here in Xipan, and keep seeing that girl you like." Iscuri's grin widens,"Oh, but exploring sounds real fun as well! I've heard great things about Drura." Eilki, still upset about the whole thing, was not afraid to complain. "Yeah, that's what they said about the Fallen Kingdom of the south, and now look at it. All we know of it, is out new-found name for it."

"Eilki! That is enough! Royals-" Eilki cuts her father off,"Royals don't complain. I know." She sends her father a half glare,"Alright, sorry, I'm finished complaining." Then the throne doors burst wide open, and in hurries a messenger,"Your Majesties, your Highness'." The messenger greets, bowing to the royal family. Ohulzu turns his gaze on the messenger,"May I help?" The messenger straightens up,"Knight Harris is on his way, sir. He should be here shortly." The king and queen exchange a nod,"Good. Thank you, any other news to report?" The messenger shakes his head,"No, Your Majesty."

The king bobs his head, dismissing the messenger, who bows before leaving. The throne room falling into silence. The royals sitting on their thrones, while the guards stood still in their places, Nyx lying at Eilki's feet. Suddenly the youngest royal blurts out,"Mother. Father. Will you marry me off when I'm older?" The king and queen exchange a glance, half exasperated, as Ohulzu responds. "Possibly, Envudo. If the moment comes to hand, and if it calls for it." Envudo perks up,"Who do you think I'll marry? Someone from beyond the Continent? Or someone from here?"

All of the royals exchange an exasperated glance, Envudo was the baby of the family, yes. But she was still young and had much to learn, like learning how to hold her tongue. Or when to sit still, Envudo was currently wriggling around, grinning,"Oh! I hope the prince I marry is going to be handsome!" Eilki fires at her younger sister,"No use of being handsome, if he is abusive." Nyx grunts as she shifts, drawing everyone's attention briefly. Envudo looks at Eilki, eyes wide, before shrugging. "He'll be handsome! And he'll be really nice and sweet! He'll bring me-" The queen sighs,"Envudo, that is enough."

Kyle continues to walk forward toward the castle, it seemed to be getting bigger as he draws closer. He had to stop for a few moments, glancing up toward the stone walls. Kyle took a deep breath, the castle is truly breath taking. He never really paid any attention to it before but standing in front of it, its a whole different experience. How did the royals live in such a huge building? He wondered if they needed a guide or a map. Kyle chuckles at himself at that thought, he shakes his head. That sounded ridiculous. He's so glad that he lives in his small house, it's perfect for him and he didn't get lost. It was from one end to another. He couldn't imagine living in anything bigger, Kyle didn't care much for space. Although he will admit that is does get lonely, he didn't have anyone to talk too. The only time he wasn't alone is when he is working but even then he reminded him of how alone he is.

Kyle sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He now focused on the large doors in front of him. It's best he gets in there and finds out what the King wants. He's hoping it isn't anything too difficult or life changing. Kyle didn't want to hear if a war is going to happen or something. All this thinking just worried him. However it would be great to see the king again, the last he saw him is when the king recruited him to leader of the knights. Boy, that was such a proud day for him. Kyle never saw himself as a leader but he did love the job and the other knights looked up to him. Kyle smiled at the though, now feeling more confident. Kyle makes his way forward, the two doors open and he walks inside "Presenting Kyle Harris! Leader of the knights!" A guard announces. Kyle walks forward toward the thrones, he stops halfway and bows his head "Your majesty, your highness. You wanted to speak with me?" He asks. His gaze mainly remained on the king. His stomach turning with nervousness, but he kept a brave face.

As Envudo shot a half sulky glare at her mother, the doors open and the herald announces,"Presenting Kyle Harris! Leader of the knights!" Swiftly each royal straightens and focuses, the king transferring his gaze to the knight. Eilki sends a glance at Ohulzu, before focusing on the knight. Ohulzu greets the knight leader. "Kyle, thank you for coming quickly." The queen shoots a glance at her husband, warning him not to banter on like he usually did. Thankfully the king did not. "I am sure you are curious as to why you are here, so I will get straight to the point."

Iscuri and Irzirn exchange a glance, what if the knight said no? Would they be able to find Eilki an escort to the mountains? Ohulzu frowns briefly, before continuing. "As you know, we are on the brink of war with Khiseon. We are powerful, but so is Khiseon. So what we need are alliances." A scoff slips through Eilki's lips, their alliances with the northern kingdoms were just fine. Ohulzu was making excuses. The king paid no attention to Eilki,"Drura has agreed to become our ally, and we have agreed to seal the treaty with a marriage."

Rharenva bobs her head, taking over for her husband. "The marriage of Prince Nieven of Drura and Princess Eilki." Eilki's siblings all glanced over at Eilki, who was doing her best to keep her emotions under control and play the perfect princess. But they could tell by the tenseness of Eilki's jaw that she was very angry. Ohulzu takes back over,"We will be sending Eilki to Drura to meet Nieven and plan a wedding with him. While also getting to know him, before we go for the wedding." Ohulzu glances at Eilki, an expecting look in his eyes, and reluctantly Eilki begins to speak.

"I plan on leaving for Drura tomorrow by noon, however I will need an escort. Father has insisted on the best of the best, and has sent for you, knight." Eilki hesitates, glancing at Iscuri who gives her an encouraging nod. "I ask now, will you escort me to the snow mountains? Knight?" Ohulzu nods in approval, even his most rebellious daughter knew when to bow down to his authority. Ohulzu and Eilki's gaze meet, an a sort of conversation passed between them. Then the royals turn their gaze on Kyle, awaiting the knight's response.

Kyle's gaze remained on the king as he spoke, he tilted his head slightly at the news of there being on the brink of war. This isn't what he wanted to hear but then when the king mentioned of marrying off his eldest daughter, that didn't seem to sit right with the young Knight. However he wouldn't question the king on his choices. It must be difficult to rule a whole kingdom and to make sure that everyone remains safe. Though this couldn't be easy for the princess either. She'd have to marry a total stranger but then duty would always come first. Kyle is surprised that the king requests he guides the Princess to the other kingdom. Who would look after the knights while he is away? It would be strange going out and seeing the world.

This actually started to sound more interesting as they kept speaking about it. Kyle is always willing to listen. He felt honoured that the king wanted him to do this. It would give Kyle the chance to prove himself too, since he has never really been in battle. Kyle would always want to help the royal family, he'd never refuse. He didn't want to pass this opportunity up. Kyle smiled slightly, he bows his head "My King, it would be my greatest pleasure in guiding your daughter to the other kingdom" he responds, his tone soft. Kyle started to feel excited inside but he remained professional in front of the royals. He would get to go on a wonderful adventure, see at least some of the world and maybe face dangers but he would be sure that the Princess gets there safe.
