8 years old. Male, green eyes, light reddish-gray fur with darker reddish tipped tail, back left leg is reddish up to knee level, and front right leg is reddish at paw. Top part of muzzle and ear tips are also reddish. Has various tribal markings painted on him.
Lives on his own early 1700's time period, very quiet and withdrawn and can be aggressive if taunted. Very skilled hunter, prefers not to battle but is very skilled in battle too when he tries.
Used to be part of a more evil darkseeker pack and went 'undercover' in a cherokee tribe posing as a domesticated dog. His plan was to learn the hunting habits of the human and then take as much food and prey as he could afterwards for his pack. But he ended up befriending the humans and falling out with his pack because of it. But the entire tribe was killed by smallpox when settlers came in and so he struck out on his own.

Caeluma

Art credit to 11:11, #194857, won in writing contest
Appearance: Cream colored feathers, with color darkening down the wings. Four legs
Female, 3 years old. She was given her extra legs by a sorcerer who was attempting to make her into a miniature griffin. She now lives by herself in the city, and is friends with many other wild birds and city animals but is not extremely close with anyone. She mostly feeds off discarded human food in the streets. It's not a glamorous life but she loves it.
Caeluma's personality is very mischievous, especially to those who have wronged her, but she is usually kind. She can't be trusted not to prank and mess with her friends though, even animals she's just met.

Related story:

The sorcerer's laboratory was full of sharp, acrid smells. The large room was completely silent except for the gentle bubbling of several cast-iron cauldrons. Its broad windowsills were colored with a pungent, dark brown stain, and thick black curtains were drawn across the laboratory windows.
The most noticeable detail of the place were the cages crammed onto the space of each of the four windowsills, eighteen sets of metal bars in total. Most of them were about the size appropriate for a parakeet, but some were considerably larger. A few of their residents were misbehaving, and therefore had sheets draped over their cages, but most of them were exposed to the open air.

A blue-tinted fox with stunted white wings lay on the floor of his cage, picking disinterestedly through the pellets in his food dish. A monkey with the head of a parrot swung from the bars at the ceiling of her cage, letting out unintelligible blabber from her mottled beak every so often.
The sorcerer sat at his desk in the center of the laboratory. His table and chair were tall, but made almost unnoticeable by the massive stacks of spellbooks, empty cages, cauldrons, and assorted clutter that were stacked around it like the barricade of a fortress. But although it was nearly impossible to see the desk around its walls of junk, there was a small clearing on the surface of it, upon which a four-legged pigeon stood. One end of a fine silver chain was attached to her foot, the other to an empty cage on the desk. She tilted her head as she gazed at the sorcerer, seeming almost as confused as the sorcerer himself.

He clicked his tongue in frustration. "The tail isn't grafting properly," he muttered to himself in frustration, pushing the pigeon gently aside and holding a slightly crumpled piece of parchment under his nose. The sorcerer was not the most skilled artist or planner, but had one put effort into deciphering his blueprint of sorts, one would have understood his plan to create a miniature hippogriff.

"It's a classic hybrid, but too big to keep as a familiar," the sorcerer would explain to anyone who would listen. He had promised everyone he talked to his small version of the hippogriff, but he began to worry now that he wouldn't be able to follow through on his claims.

The pigeon that the wizard had caught off the streets was a stubborn one, and refused to accept the horse tail that replaced its pigeon feathers, melding them back into what was ordinary when the sorcerer turned his gaze. The sorcerer still held out hope for adding hooves to the pigeon, though. He had managed an extra set of legs, after all. Even if it didn't turn out exactly like a hippogriff, people still might be interested in the strange hybrid as a familiar.
Several hours later, the sorcerer grew frustrated with his investigation and slid the four-legged pigeon back into her cage. He placed her on the windowsill where he ordinarily kept the less-interesting hybrids. There was a cat whose only special feature was the ability to bark like a dog, a mouse whose scales occasionally changed color, and a toad who had sharp-sighted eagle eyes.

The sorcerer turned the latch of the pigeon's cage to lock it, and looked at her for several long moments. He gave a long, frustrated sigh, turned around, and walked out of his laboratory.

This was the windowsill of rejects, of spare parts, and all of the animals knew it. They had seen the component parts of the rejects being recycled in experiments on the wizard's desk. The cat and the mouse seemed resigned to their fates (as resigned as a cat and a mouse can seem, anyway), but the toad tried to squeeze his head through the tightly-woven bars of his cage.
The pigeon rapped the talons of her front claws against the cage to catch the toad's attention. He immediately turned to her. His attention was piqued, though, being a frog, he had no facial expression to indicate it.

The pigeon slowly reached her front right leg through the bars of her cage. Her front legs would fit through, but not the back, she had found days earlier. Her heart jumped with hope when she saw that her talons could reach to scrape the metal bars of the toad's cage.

The toad sat there, watching, as the pigeon reached a millimeter further to hook her claws around the bars of his cage. With what seemed like an enormous effort, she pulled the toad's cage toward hers so that their cages touched. It was much easier for her to reach now, and with a single talon, she slid open the latch of the toad's cage.

The toad jumped out, probably wishing that he had a more expressive face to paint his joy upon. The pigeon rapped on her cage bars again to bring him back to attention. She rested a talon on her chest feathers. Now, you free me.

It took the toad much longer to free the pigeon than it had taken the pigeon to free the toad, as the latch of the pigeon's cage was rusted and harder to slide open. But he eventually pried it open, using his back legs to slide it forward.
The pigeon hopped out of her cage with a delighted screech, and within seconds the entire laboratory full of animals was aware of their escape.

The pigeon's nimble beak undid the weak clasps of the cages, one by one. Once the parrot-monkey was out, the cage-opening went by much more quickly. It took them about a quarter of an hour to free two years' worth of the sorcerer's experiments.

But his experiments were rather thrilled about it, and also quite chuffed that one of his windows was opened a crack. The pigeon tore a hole in the screen, and one by one, the animals hopped out the window onto the ground that was several feet below.

The pigeon left last, just in time to see the sorcerer coming back into his laboratory to retrieve something from atop his desk. He yelled out when he saw that his animals had escaped. The pigeon whistled tauntingly through her beak. It was a cheerful sound to the human ear, but it would sound considerably more rude to one who understood pigeon.

The pigeon hopped out the window and was free, feathers unscathed, and two legs richer. She still lives on the streets today, seeking out the sorcerer often on the ground below to make non-monetary deposits atop his head.

Nix
Female, 6 years old
Lives up north in the Arctic, on her own near the ocean. Is a wolf but can sometimes blend in with the Arctic cats, and hunts with them occasionally. Lives in a crevice inside a glacier, insulated with dried sea grasses and animal pelts.
Likes to be alone for the most part, she likes to be with her mate and pups but is stressed out in large packs, which is why she left her pack in the south when she was very young, and ventured up to the North to make a life there.
She is medium gray with light blue eyes, and brindled with a slightly lighter color than her normal coat.

Amber
Female, 5 years old
Mate of Nix, lives with her in the Arctic. Has very bulky, heavy fur and therefore hunts on the water, sometimes even diving in to catch prey. Doesn't hunt with arctic cats like Nix does sometimes. Very kind and cuddly but a skilled hunter and pretty merciless with prey.
She was born in the Arctic with a small pack, and went onto her own hunting when she was young--not quite a pup, but not an adult yet. She went against her mother's warning since a blizzard was coming, and was separated from her pack in the blizzard. She never found them again, but did find her mate, Nix.
She is very fluffy, and colored brown, with a darker brown chest and underbelly. She also has a dark brown patch of fur on her head.

Male, 11 years old
Both back legs, and right front leg, are yellow halfway up. There is yellow on his eyes and on the topside of his tail, about halfway to the base of his tail. There is ochre on the topside of his tail where the yellow ends, continuing to the base. There are ochre stripes on his forelegs and from his ears to the tip of his muzzle. His muzzle is also dark brown.
Lives in the North, in the same general area as Nix, Amber, and Akira. He does not have a personality that mixes well with other wolves, though. He is a true Darkseeker and can't even be trusted with other wolves in a Darkseeker pack, as demonstrated when he was thrown out of his pack for murder many years ago. He prefers the solitude of the north better and tries to keep out of the way of the animals living there. He is still a menace but he is trying to be a better wolf and not harm anyone. He doesn't have anywhere that he lives, but migrates around forests, making a new nest in the snow every night. He feeds off of smaller prey, like mice, rabbits, and squirrels, since he has no pack with which to hunt larger game.

Form 1:
Form 2:
Form 3:
Female, unknown age. Very old. Lives in the clouds and is practically weightless, although she can assume a more substantial form when she wants to, or possess mortal bodies on earth. She is an angel wolf, the spirit of another wolf past deceased, whose life she cannot remember. It is the task of an angel wolf to watch over the wolves left on earth, but she doesn't do much of that. She likes to lounge on the clouds all day and not do much. She goes down to earth occasionally to hunt prey for fun, although it's not necessary to eat.
She has three different forms, pictured here. She likes her third form the best since it has wings. She has fallen from the clouds before in her other forms, and it doesn't hurt her, but Iris likes being able to fly at all times.

Akira
(c) ~Unity~ #181130
Female, 1 year old
Akira lives in the Arctic with her mothers, Nix and Amber. She was abandoned as a pup because of her brown spots. She is mostly grey, to blend in, but the brown gave her away. Nix found her abandoned near a polar bear den, Akira would have been eaten, if not for Nix. She soon met her second mother, Amber. She grew a close bond with both of them. She is pansexual. Growing up with 2 mothers, and no father, she realized that it doesn't matter who you love as long as they make you happy.

Purple legs, with green chest and underbelly. Purple tail, orange back, with light gray/white patches on his sides. His face is purple, and his ears/top of his head are green.
Male, 5 years old. Lived with a small group of hyenas in the forest a few miles from the nuclear plant, and stayed with them for most of his life, until he met Crimea, falling in love almost instantly. He knew that she was the one for her and when there was a leak from the nuclear plant, suggested they leave to find a better place to live together. She agreed. His coat was also made very colorful and strange as an effect of the nuclear leak, but he wasn't affected in any other ways.

Crimea
by Pigeon, #202816
Female, 2 years old.
Dark maroon coat with gray legs halfway up, and gray patches of fur all over her body. Has a darker-colored tail tip, and a black nose.
Born to a normal pack of hyenas with normal coloring and such, but had a falling-out with her pack when she was very young and struck out on her own. She set up her own den dangerously close to a human nuclear reactor, and was mutated by the waste when a spill occurred. She realized it was dangerous and left, but not before her coat was changed. Before leaving, she found Iter, who had also been affected by the spill. They fell in love and decided to find another place to live together, taking a few other hyenas from the area with them.

Male, 8 years old.
Yellow base coat, with red and blue splotches all over. His legs are pink almost all the way up, and his tail tip is pink. Has a dark blue muzzle, pink ear tips, and a blotch of intense red at the top of his head.
Was abandoned near the nuclear reactor by his mother at a young age, and lived in the cracks and crevices of the nuclear facility all his life. It was safely contained back then, so it didn't affect him, but he was strongly affected by the spill. Radiation poisoning almost killed him, but he survived and was left with the characteristic colorful coat. But he was affected further than that. The radiation changed his brain somehow and made him able to read the minds of others, a fact that he has shared with no one. He went with Crimea and Iter and a few others to find a better place to live, but doesn't plan to stay with them for long. He wants to find his mother and take revenge, since he is secretly very angry at her for leaving him all by himself as a pup. He doesn't know that she was discovered by employees of the nuclear plant and killed.
