So basically there are characters that can just be taken over by whoever can take on at that time. They just kinds sit in the corners until there needs to be an interaction or something.

Jorōgumo: Spiders who can transform into beautiful woman aged 17-20. The spiders are always black and make webs like normal spiders do except the webs are hugs, large enough to engulf a human. The women wear robes and have long dark hair. They lure people into the forests to force them into their webs, to eat them later. (Japanese folklore)
Jackalopes: They wander between the forest and the Outlands, some of the very few animals that can survive out there. I'm sure everyone knows what they look like but basically a rabbit with deer antlers. They're great. You can hunt them and munch them. (American folklore)
Keresh: These are very large deer, they wander through the forests and sometimes into the Village. They can easily break a humans bones by either biting, treading on or butting into them. Just because they are deer does not mean for a second they are easy to take down. If you want to hunt one of these, take at least three others with you so you don't die. (Jewish Mythology)
Roc: This is a very large bird, only one inhabits this land. She can carry you off and drop you somewhere else. Or take you to her nest and feed off your body. It's a fifty-fifty chance. Are you willing to risk it? Her egg has never hatched and it probably won't. But don't touch it or woe unto ye. (Eastern Mythology)
Caladrius: A blinding white bird who is said to be able to heal the sick and dying. No one has ever been able to call one except that of the fielder Healer. (Roman Mythology)
Onikuma: The onikuma is a bear who has lived for many years. It rarely shows itself to humans or anything else. Late at night it comes out of the land between the Outlands and forest and steals cattle and horses from the village and fielders to eat. It walks and runs on hind legs and is very powerful. It can throw rocks that ten people would take to move and attacks for no reason other than you got into its space. It takes about five people to kill it though it will take a while. (Japanese Folklore)
Water Sprites: They inhabit lakes, ponds, streams. Puddles even. The creatures of the forest get along with them even if they do cause trouble. They like to whisper lies into those who walk by or stop for a drink. (What place doesn't have folklore on these guys XD)
