(Posting this so we start where we left off.) Frost froze. When the wolf said that they could sense the males lies, he calmly trotted out from behind him. "Because of me. I strayed over here from the city, because of the humans. I dont mean to intrude," The calm feline purred, sitting next to Whisp. "Dont blame him, it's my fault,"

The older she-wolf looked down at the cat with a calm expression, before tilting her head.
"You're a curious thing, aren't you," she mumbled, before looking back up at the sheepish wolf. "Very well. Feline, I appreciate your decency to defend my son. I advise you to stay far away from our territory; many wolves in our pack do not take kindly to strangers, lest of all creatures outside of our own bloodlines." She looked back at her son, flicking her tail. At her command, he slunk away, head low. The she-wolf turned away, trotting over to where her son had disappeared. She paused, however, and glanced back at the cat.
"Thank you for keeping my son company. He has been needing some good influences. Apologies that you cannot come with."

Frost nodded, before he trotted back to past where he had been shown borders. He sat on a few feet back from it, sitting in the shadows with a tail tucked over his paws neatly. The feline sure pushed limits, for sure. He had done as told, and would now wait for Whisp to return.

Whisp trotted in the direction of the pack meeting place, yet another clearing with a large, flat boulder in the middle. As he walked, his head still low, his mother sidled up beside him. "Whisper," she said sternly, looking at him expectantly. He hesitantly raised his head, his ears pressed flat to his skull. "Yes, Mother?" "I quite like that cat. He is respectful. You will spend more time with him." Whisp's jaw dropped in disbelief, stopping in his tracks. "But, Mother, what will the other Dragonborn think?" His mother flicked her ear, silencing him, as she stopped and turned to him. "I will inform them that he is not a threat, nor is he prey. You will show him the way of the forest, and ensure he finds a good place to live. Am I clear?" There was a moment of hesitation, and Whisp reluctantly spoke. "Yes, Mother." "Very good," she said, satisfied. She turned and continued along the path, the scents of her packmates growing stronger with each step. But Whisper lagged behind, drawing his paws. He hated it when his mother ordered him around. Adina soared down from one of the trees (when had she appeared?) and landed on his shoulder. "Seems like you and I are going have to keep an eye on that cat, hm?" she cooed, pecking affectionately at his ear. He grumbled, flicking his ear, and continued on.

Frost had sat in the same spot for a while, but was curious and /had/ to go explore for a bit. He stretched out his grey and white legs. Hoping he wouldn't be taken down by another wolf, the maine coon dashed off and followed his order of being past the scent borders. Then Frost stopped. The scent was different. It smelt strange, not wolf. But canine. Suddenly, a fox jumped from the bushes sending the cat scurrying up into a tree, standing his ground with a loud warning growl. "Stay back, I wont hesitate!" The felines fur bristled and his ears pinned back, he jumped down and gave the coyote a slash across the nose. Edited at August 24, 2021 09:34 AM by Interstellar Sun

The dark pelted wolf turned as his mother instructed, going back the way he came. He felt like an idiot, returning so quickly. "You know what?" He plopped down beside a tree, sticking his nose in the air. Adina cooed in confusion, peeking around his head as she began to slowly slide down his back. "Um, Whisp? Aren't we supposed to be going to the cat?" Whisper smiled, flicking his ears forward, tail lashing. "Well, yes, of course. But not right now," he said matter-of-factly, stamping his paw lightly. Adina cooed but said nothing else.

Since the feline was so much smaller then the larger canine, Frost was able to hide in places it couldn't reach until it retreated. Then he heard a scattering noise behind him. Slowly turning to see what it was, he sunk down to the ground as a small shrew appeared in the front of his vision. In a quick movement his prey was killed, and Frost held it proundly in his jaws as he strolled back to the scent border. He didnt dare pass it- the cat was too afraid of being murdered. Frost was hiding something, the fact that it wasnt humans that killed his family. Edited at August 24, 2021 11:15 AM by Interstellar Sun
