Shifters have been a part of the world’s history for as long as anyone can remember though thousands of years ago, they were viewed as the Gods incarnated in Ancient Egypt. The time is 10 ad and shifters are keeping their existence hidden. Of course there are those few that relish in the attention and pampering that they receive from the humans viewing them as Gods but one thing they won’t tell you is that they are so isolated once the sun goes down. The priests worry that their “God” may leave and to avoid losing them, the shifter is locked within a cage made out of silver that burns their skin if they even just brush against it. Due to so many hiding their true nature of shifters, shifter blood has made its way into the Pharoah’s family and very few speak of the strange happenings that come late at night out of the palace. There are rumors that the oldest son and daughter are showing the signs of being a God incarnate though no one dares to speak out on the rumors. There are those that have made a profit on enslaving shifters that are unfortunate to be caught and traded to wealthy humans that wish to move up in their station and flaunt that they have their own personal “God”. If a certain shifter type is deemed as undesirable, the shifter is killed and left for the wildlife to dispose of. This has created a very lucrative slave trade where top sellers have been keeping an ear on the ground about the royal children. Who wouldn’t pay to have a royal “God” and the power that title would bring? |

This is a main element of the rp but very few of the active characters will be accepted as a shifter. The main point is that they are elusive and prized. This is to help with the building of the plot and any drama. |

Rules for Players: - Please follow Eve's rules.
- Some swearing is allowed but please do not overuse it.
- Hate the character not the player, try to keep drama between characters.
- Put your character's favorite quote in the other section of the application.
- This is a Semi Lit to Lit rp. This means posting at least 3 paragraphs per post. I understand writer's block but please try to do at least one paragraph so that there is something people can go off of.
- Please no Mary/Gary Sues in the sense of personalities. We want to have a pretty diverse cast of participants.
- LGBT+ is not allowed in this rp to lean towards more historical.
- There may be more rules but everyone will be warned if that happens.
- Romance is a part of this rp and if there are any risky scenes (You know which ones) please fade to black.
- Please be able to post at least once a day. Do not hesitate to pm me if something comes up.
- There is a max of two characters per person, this is not necessary though.
- Please let me know via pm if something comes up and you have to drop the rp or if you have any ideas to cause chaos within the group of participants.
- Reservations last for 24 hours. Please pm me if you need an extension, I will give 2 extensions, or if you will no longer be applying.
- If you want to apply for one of the head roles, please pm me an rp example. I am going to be pickier about who fills these roles as they will have more power in the rp.
- I reserve the right to deny applications that I do not feel will not meet the needs of this rp. If there is a question about if you are denied, please pm me and send an rp example. I may make exceptions if the examples meet the requirements.
- Please be advised that there are dark elements to this rp due to the slave trade of shifters and killing of those deemed unneccessary.
- Only one character out of the two max per person can be a shifter.

Those that are enslaved or other hidden ones will be NPCs, though I may add a slot or two for enslaved shifters. The reason why there are so few and why specific roles were chosen are for drama and story building. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am looking for 6+ sentences for the description.) Jabari is a complicated person. To those who do not know him well, he seems cruel and cold, but to those he loves, and the ones close to him, he is gentle and sweet. Jabari is fiercely loyal, and exceptionally good at cunning. He is friendly to most, and adores most people and all animals. He is brave and smart, having been raised to someday take his father's throne, and become the next Pharoah, though the job has never really tempted him. He loved reading and hates writing, and would most likely be found outside, enjoying the fresh evening hours of the day. He loves his siblings immeansely, and enjoys their company. Appearance: (Please be descriptive. I am looking for 6+ sentences for the description. Include what their wolf looks like as well.) Jabari is a handsome young man, with dark honey colored skin, and brown eyes. He is always clean shaven as is the way of his people, and would rather die than be caught dead without his royal dress. His skin is soft and smooth, and his eyes carry a weight of things unknown to many. His shifted form is a feline, a beautiful black cat. He has always felt close to Bast, the cat goddess, and would have been heartbroken if he had not taken a form similar to hers. The cat is sleek and dark, easily blending into the shadows, his emeral eyes seeming to glow. The only way one could tell that perhaps this is not a normal cat is the fur around the eyes, which seems to resemble a pharaohs typical makeup. Hidden talents: While in his Feline form, in the darkness he is practically invisible, and has found that most aerobic things suck as running and jumping come much easier, and he can perform these acts three times as better as a normal cat. Fears: Jabari fears death alone. It has taken many of the people he has known, and he lives wondering when it will be his time, and that of his siblings. He rarely worries for himself, but often for those he loves. Strengths: Steady, gentle, trusting, hardworking, determined, creative.
