Introduction

It's a new time, a new era. The Kingdom has defeated the Pine Creek Pack, as all of Pine Creek's superiors have been overthrown and killed, leaving no one to carry out orders to further push back against The Kingdom. The war ended and peace reclaimed the two packs' lands for the first time in years. It's been a couple months since The Kingdom officially claimed both territory's and established new order among Pine Creek's members. However, though chaos has died down and members from the former Pine Creek Pack have submitted to their new rulers, the mangled body of The Kingdom's War General was found laying in a creek. The leaders of The Kingdom are furious and wish to punish the one that committed this crime. The Emperor called an emergency council meeting to discuss the issue. Upon this meeting, they made it mandatory that all leaders and extra personal shall move from The Desert Lands to monitor over both Kingdom and Former Pine Creek Pack Lands. Little do they know that right beneath their noises a rebellion is forming that consists of both Pine Creek and Kingdom wolves. Will the rebellion overthrow The Kingdom, or will their betrayal be uncovered before they even get a chance?

There is Betrayal Within.

History

The Kingdom is a centuries old wolf pack. They've conquered many lands and expanded their territory to be massive. Centuries of war experience has strengthened their combat skills and training. They are not a pack to pursue in hopes of regaining territory. They can and will destroy you. Initial war between Pine Creek Pack started when they wished to conquer their land in hopes of connecting their main territory with a recent southern land area that they had overthrown. Taking Pine Creek Pack's territory would make travel, trading, and conflict better. They first asked peacefully for the Pine Creek Pack to move. They refused, so The Kingdom gave them a warning. If they don't find their territory abandoned in two days, then they'll take it by force. As presumed, the Pine Creek Pack stood their ground. So, The Kingdom sent battalions of their warriors in waves, and to their surprise, Pine Creek Pack was stronger than they previously thought. Their numbers and overall combat experience was a surprise, which caused the war to last for a year. Blood stained the lands until eventually, through patience, The Kingdom sent three of their spies to infiltrate and kill The Pine Creek Pack's leaders. The three successfully completed their mission, which ended the war. The Pine Creek Pack surrendered and The Kingdom took over and established their rule. New leaders were assigned to the territory and new order fell upon the defeated pack. To set an example, The Kingdom executed any pack member that had murdered a Kingdom wolf in the war. Many on both sides saw this as unfair, as war is war, but they held their tongues in fear. The executions marked the day that The Kingdom officially claimed the territory. Over the past six months, the conflict calmed. The Kingdoms strict laws were set on the new territory, making life for former Pine Creek Wolves far more brutal and hardened. Any wolf of age was set to be trained in the scorned lands, and eventually tested for ranking. Any wolf too old for training was immediately tested and either demoted or promoted to fit their skill sets. Based on the testing, they were assigned to serve in one of The Kingdom's many outposts. Family's were torn apart and friendships crumbled. The Kingdom ensured that life for the former enemy would be hell, which is what eventually lead to the death of The Kingdom's War General.

The Emperor, furious, called an emergency council meeting. He pleaded for the new War General, the former General's child, to dispatch the spies and find out who did this. He made a mandate for all leaders and extra personal that are stationed in The Desert Lands to relocate into the Pine Creek region. The Pine Creek region is now swarming with Kingdom personnel and any chance of another murder is practically impossible. The Kingdom has their grasp around the rebellions neck, now they just need to exterminate the parasites.

The Rebellion

The rebellion was established when some of the wolves mixed in the higher ranks realized, or were persuaded, that The Emperor is vile. Some have even realized that he's become crazed with power and is too psychotic to reason with. He wishes to destroy anything in his path and he frankly doesn't give a shit who he ruins in his wake. The truth is evident, The Emperor needs to go, along with any of his supporters so The Kingdom can rule without fear within their own ranks.

Territory Overview

The Kingdom's Main Territory

Is extremely massive and stretches for miles upon miles in a rocky mountainous region. Most of the territory sits above tree level, making the region sparse with mostly shrubs and low-lying plants.
Most prey include Voles, Mice, Marmots, Mountain Goats.
Predators include Mountain Lions, Black Bears, and Foxes.

The Kingdom has many water sources located in pockets all around the region.

--

The main camp is called Castle Camp which sits in and around castle ruins that lie in the middle of the main, mountainous region.

--

Inside the ruins is many floors and rooms where the dens of the higher ranked Kingdom wolves are, along with a courtyard which is a large open courtyard where council meetings are held. Lower rank's dens are burrows in the mountain side near the Castle Camp. The Prey Pile sits inside the castle ruins in a secluded room guarded by guards. Each wolf is assigned a certain amount of food each day depending on their rank and current family size.

The Scorned Lands:

These lands sit at the highest elevations inside The Kingdom's mountainous region. They are used to train wolves starting at five months old until two years old. When the reach two, they will be tested and graduate to an assigned rank based on their skills.

Ceremonial site:

A site used for graduation of juveniles where blood is spilled by their instructor and their new ranking is shared. This is also where new members and juveniles recite a pledge of allegiance to The Kingdom called the blood pledge. This pledge is recited at the graduation ceremony for juveniles. New members recite this pledge, similar to juveniles except it is not used to celebrate a graduation. Punishment for failure to recite this pledge is death.

Former Pine Creek Pack territory

Is small compared to The Kingdom's lands. It's just a few miles wide and sits in a thick, lodge pine forest.

Prey includes Deer, Rabbit, Squirrel, Chipmunks, Moose, Mice, and Wild Turkey.

Predators Include Black Bear, Fox, Coyote, and (rarely) Mountain Lion.

--

Main camp sits in a small clearing surrounded by the pine forest. Densities are located in burrows connected by tunnels in the hillside. Prey pile now sits in a trench guarded by guards and food intake is monitored. It formerly sat in the middle of camp and anyone was welcomed to food. Guards patrol around camp to monitor pack activities.

Water sources in former Pine Creek Pack territory are creeks and streams that run throughout the forest. The War General's mangled body was found in the latter picture, which is a creek that sits about a half mile from camp.

Desert Lands:

The newer lands that is now connected by the Pine Creek Pack's lands is a mesa desert. It has been conquered for over four years now, which is why it was vital to finally connect it. It's dry and filled with cacti and dead, knotted trees. Water sources include small streams and puddles.

Prey include Snakes, Lizards, Mice, Big Horn Sheep, Jack Rabbit, and insects.

Predators Include Mountain Lions, Venomous snakes, and Coyotes.

Drought is highly prevalent here.

- No romance between your own characters.

- Feel free to sign-up as many characters as you can handle.

- Be active and let me know if there is a reason why you won't be active.

- Have good grammar and spelling.

- This plot is highly character driven, so please be active. That being said, if you're playing a large load of characters, don't worry about posting for every one of them when half of them aren't being interacted with or are driving the plot. Don't stress, as this RP has a lot of roles, but most of them won't be needed until certain times in the RP. Pssst, put a favorite color in your character's likes. Choose your roles wisely, as the higher ranks will have a lot more influence on the plot than the lower ones.

- Discussion and creation of drama, plot twists, and conflict are highly encouraged.

Side Note:

I just wanted to clarify that there are many, many other wolves inside the kingdom. I just doubt we could fill this RP to the actual size of the Kingdom. Thus, in each battalion there are many other soldiers and wolves that could be mentioned as NPC's. Just because there is two wolves in a battalion doesn't mean that's the actual size of the battalion.

Roles

Emperor:

The ultimate ruler of The Kingdom. He designates all official laws. He has the final word on everything regarding The Kingdom. He rules with an iron fist and is known to have a few screws loose. He's a cruel, tyrannical leader.

The Empresses:

The king has multiple wives known as the Empresses. They carry on the royal blood. They have no political power and some serve to unite the lands The Kingdom conquers. Some may serve the Emperor so they can provide the royal bloodline with their outstanding genetics. But most, if not all, are unifying factors between conflicting lands. Addressed as Empress.

Supreme Rulers:

They are the rulers of each division of land within the kingdom. They carry out the emperor's word and act as advisers to him. Addressed as Duke or Duchess.

Spies:

They are highly trained intelligence operatives specially selected and trained since birth to become spies. They are lethal in battle and are highly dangerous. They infiltrate lands that the Emperor wishes to conquer. They are informatives that analyze an enemy to learn their weaknesses and attack. They work as shadows to blend into the background and observe. No one knows who these wolves are except for the War General and other spies. They follow the War General's orders and do as commanded.

Once your character has been accepted to be a spy please PM me to discuss their undercover rank.

The Royal's children:

All are born to serve the Emperor. Unlike other Juveniles, if they don't pass their testing with outstanding results, they will be punished or killed. Only Royals with talent and skill will be allowed to pass on the bloodline. Those that pass the testing will become leaders inside The Kingdom. They are always addressed as prince or princess. They have no political power until they earn their rankings like everyone else. When the Emperor retires he will select one of his sons to become the next ruler.

War General:
Advises over all battalions. He analyzes and constructs strategies to use in war. Expert in combat and a force to reckon with. Some say they respected him more than the actual Emperor. He was the Emperor's brother. Upon his death, out of his three children, the former commanding officer of the first battalion, took over as war general. Addressed as general.

The Executioner

This wolf was selected by The Emperor to be a judge for any rule breakers. They carry out decided punishments and take part in deciding what kind of punishment the offender deserves. They are a part of the council and also act as an adviser to The Emperor. Most avoid this wolf like a plague due to fear. They are in charge of The Disparaged and are the inflicters of disfigurement among them. The executioner is truly a powerful and beastly wolf with a talent for sniffing out the rule breakers. They are not allowed to have a mate or pups due to biased interfering with their duties. They are only to be referred to as 'Your Honor', 'Executioner', or 'Sir/Ma'am'.

Apothecaries:

The head Medics of each land division. They serve as the healers. They are experts in the medical field and treat wounds, injuries, and sicknesses. They have apprentices that retrieve supplies and are in training to become medics, but they shall remain as NPC's for now. An apothecary is not necessarily gifted in physical aspects, but is highly gifted in intelligence. Though they might fail to graduate, they might be exceptions to the law of The Kingdom due to their potential.

Commanding Officers:

Leaders of their assigned battalions. All follow the war general's orders. They give all lesser orders to their soldiers. They are highly trained in combat and graduated at the top of their class at their graduation ceremony. Usually they earn their title or succeed a retired commanding officer on the retiree's referral. Addressed as Lieutenant.

Commanding Hunters:

These wolves command over hunting parties. They organize large prey kills and observe of low hunters and huntresses. They ensure all hunters are killing their assigned load for the week and aren't over hunting. One for each area, they serve in union and sometimes travel between areas to rotate hunting parties. This ensures all commanding hunters are doing as they should. Referred to as lord or lady. They typically graduated with high marks in speed, agility, swiftness, and endurance.

Second-in-command officers:

Are the seconds to their assigned commanding officers. Normally they are chosen by the commanding officers to be their partners. They carry out orders and will take over for the Commanding Officer if something would happen to them. They are very skilled in combat. They are addressed as Major. They are the main commanders of the guards.

Hunters and Huntresses:
These wolves are the hunters of The Kingdom. They are specially selected for their prowess in hunting. The graduate with high marks in speed, agility, sight, endurance, and/or stealth. Few are selected to be hunters, as The Kingdom see's it as a honor and blessing to feed the land. They serve their commanding hunters to the death. While hunting they also report the status of the land and whether the land can expect early and late seasons, as well as changes in prey migrations. They also act as messengers, as they are the fastest wolves in the pack. They deliver messages between regions, such as the Emperor calling a council meeting.

Soldiers:

Upon their graduation, they are selected to battle in war in their assigned battalions. They follow all orders from their commanding officer and the commanding officer's second. The serve to kill and conquer. The are the wolves sent out to expand territory and defeat opposing parties. They take care of rogues, loners, and large predators. They are addressed as officers. They are skilled in combat, but not as skilled as their superiors. They are usually the ones that graduate with high marks in strength, agility, and power. Few go straight from training to a soldier, most are guards before they become soldiers. This is a generic rank, as most who have no special ability become soldiers.

Guards:
Are the wolves that do as their title states, they guard items within the Kingdom lands. They can be assigned to guard the Prey Piles, Camp sites, and patrol Kingdom lands. They observe pack activities and ensure all pack members are following orders. They report all suspicious behavior to the second. They are soldiers in waiting or training. As, they are either too weak, too under-skilled, or simply aren't experienced enough to be soldiers. They are commanded by the seconds. They hold down their assigned area until a battalion returns. They will become soldiers upon the second's referral. This is the normally the first rank a wolf fresh out of training will hold. They score high marks in power, strength, and stamina. They have no special address.

The Disparaged

These wolves are the ones that have, in some way, failed The Kingdom. This could be from breaking pack laws, failing their training, or committing something that deeply upset The Emperor. Their failure has been marked by physical disfigurement, a punishment that also serves as a reminder to Kingdom citizens what will happen if they disappoint The Emperor. Disfigurement could include broken limbs, torn/ripped appendages, deep wounds, and other physical trauma. Death will always be better than what The Disparaged look like. The Disparaged will sometimes be paraded around camp on a day of celebration or ceremonial significance. Other times they are hidden away deep in the Castle Camp, again, only brought out to remind others of what would happen to them if they betrayed the Emperor. They are never allowed outside of castle camp without being accompanied by a supervisor, like a guard or The Executioner. They are never to be called by their real names, as most refer to them as "the disparaged one". They are also never to have a mate or pups after their disparagement.

Instructors, Juveniles, and Pups:

Roles are closed for now, as the plot does not rely on them.

The Council

The Council is made up of the higher ranks, including:

The Emperor, War General, Supreme Rulers, Apothecaries, and commanding hunters/officers.

The council is made to advise the Emperor, report any pack happenings, discuss issues within the pack, and discuss/create plans with conflicts. They meet at the Castle Camp in a room with a massive, round, stone table.

The Rebellion

The Leader:

They are the leader of the rebellion, not exactly the creator of it, just the wolf that was voted upon to lead and advise the rebellion. They advise the rebel members and make the calls on rebel actions. They are said to be the one that gave the order to murder the previous war general, however such action has never been confirmed by The Leader. They are the face of the rebellion.

The Second:

They advise the leader, help make decisions, and command the members. They were elected by the members to be the second. They organize plans to follow through The Leader's orders. For example, the leader tells them to carry out a plan to exterminate The War General, they make a plan on who, when, where, and how this plan is carried out.

The Thirds:

They were also elected by the members. They act as The Leader and The Second's shadows. They transmit their words and plans. They also are the ones to assume the leader and second if something should happen to them.

The Members:
They are the body of the rebellion. They want to make changes to The Kingdom and have elected leaders that they trust to make these changes. They do what they are told to bring tyrannical Emperor down. They only wish for peace, safety, and happiness to return to the pack wolves lives.

Juku

Estonian: strong ruler

«»

" Valiant effort, but you never stood a chance. You see, I am not a king or a monster. I'm the god of death. What are you the god of again? "

«»

Age:

8

Gender:

Male

Rank:

The Emperor

Desired Rank:

He's more than content.

Rebel or loyalist?:

Loyalist. To hell with the rebels.

-

Appearance:

All Credit: stock by CastleGraphics @DA

Juku stands at quite an intimidating stature at 3'4" at his shoulders. Being a Mackenzie Valley wolf, he weighs at about 160 pounds and measures at 6'4" from head to tail. The Emperor is truly a monster at beastly proportions. His massive build is supported by toned and rippling muscles. He is anything but lean, as he's more bulky and buff. The massive male does have some heft to him, as he's not fat, but is well fed and nourished.

Juku's pelt is a dark obsidian with grizzled greys and silvers. His fur is a thick, rough texture. It provides outstanding insulation and is thick enough to serve as a bit of armor in combat. His fur is fuzzy in areas around his cranium, specifically lining his jawline and base of his ears. Beneath his fur are numerous scars. They litter his pelt and reflect his experience in war and combat. A prominent scar sits on his muzzle, and cuts through the side of his lips to the bottom of his jaw. The jagged scar is deep and has stained his facial features for years.

The Emperor's eyes hold a deep hazel hue, and consists of dark brown undertones and golden flecks. His nose and paw pads have a dark ink coloration, and are substantially darker than his pelt. In his maw stand sharp and yellowed teeth that are jagged and chipped with wear and use.

Personality:

Lack of empathy+impulsiveness+superficial charm+manipulative+ruthless+merciless+egocentric+blood-thirsty+deceitful+liar+excessively conceited+crazed with power+insane+vile+tyrannical+haughty+disdainful

Juku is most commonly described as a tyrant. He's anything but fair and his long rule has crazed him with power. He's on the edge of being called insane, and with one push he could become madly out of control. His impulsiveness and hot-headedness doesn't aid this fact, and is only one of many factors that could characterize him as a psychopath. As, this male has an incredible lack of empathy and will do anything, regardless of the consequences, to feed his crave for control. This lacking capacity to feel for others is what has created his immoral tendencies. He simply doesn't care what his actions do to others, and will never care.

While he certainly has no love for anyone, Juku does have an overwhelming love for himself. He's egocentric and excessively conceited. He's self-centered, and believes he is the only being on Earth that has importance. He views himself as a god, and expects everyone around him to treat him as such. Thus, the Emperor is a disdainful, arrogant, and haughty asshole.

Despite all this, Juku is incredibly calculated with his words. As, many say he's manipulative, deceitful, and a liar. He'll tell you pretty lies to get what he wants, and he will caress other's egos to persuade them to his side. This superficial charm is what has kept him sitting pretty on his throne for so long. As, he tells his subjects what they want to hear, and he convinces them that what they desire is somehow exactly what he wants. He'll make deals and promises that he secretly won't keep, and when the time comes to fulfill these agreements, he'll twist his own words and honey coat his lies to simply erase the past. Hell, it's either that or murder, and who would want to murder their own loyal subjects? Certainly not him...

Speaking of murder, Juku is, in fact, a murderer. He loves and enjoys to kill. Perhaps it's they rush of feeling his teeth sink into a victim and the taste of the sweet, warm blood pour into his maw. His only lust is for death and pain, as perhaps it's the only thing that makes him feel something. His motives are sadistic and cruel. He's truly callous and cold hearted. He strikes fear in his enemies, and will always muse as life fades from their eyes. He enjoys watching his victims beg him for mercy, and he laughs as they squirm in fear. He's a monster. As, Juku has an unquenchable thirst for blood, which makes him vile and malicious. This beast only wishes to destroy and conquer, and will let anything burn in his wake to keep his throne.
