About: Her tail can move in every direction to allow her the best movement. The most common is up and down when she is moving slowly, she moves it side to side for faster swimming. If she wants to be at her top speed and still be agile she will leave all her fins out. Since her fins are so large, she is able to jump out of the water and glide. She will stick her arms out allowing her gliders to catch the wind and she will cross her ankles, locking them together so she doesn’t falter.

Housing: She lives in a bioluminescent lake so during the night all of the plants in and out of the water glow. In the middle of the lake is an island surrounded by swampland, she and a few other water-based dragons sleep there and commune together. 2 out of 4 of the other dragons she shares a lake with are her brothers, and her father lives closer to the edges of the territory.

Backstory: Her father was a warrior of the tribe so it allowed her to have a higher rank when she was born. Her mother died during childbirth, and she has 2 older brothers, making her the youngest.

Fun facts:

+ Her tail spikes have venom. When something hits them unsuspectingly it has a possibility of killing them, when it is twice her size it will just faint and wake up fine later.

+ She can survive out of the water but for no more than 5-6 hours depending on the wind. Her body creates a slimy fluid that protects her from being dried up.

+ When out of the water she prefers to walk on all 4s so she can hold her tail off the ground, when she runs it is similar to a naruto run so her tail evens out and she can stay balanced

+ She has tattooed markings given to her by the water tribe elders that glow in the bioluminescent light.

+ Each tribal tattoo on her body and its place on her body has a different meaning

+ She is part of the water tribe but they are more spread out and live in lakes or sections of lakes that are close by and connected by underwater tunnels.

+ Since she isn’t in the lower tiers and is considered a lady, the higher-ups are allowed to request her to be their mate.

Alrighty

I woke up and let out a yawn, looking around the lakeweed beds that I made my home. I swam out of the lakeweed and stretched, looking around, trying to see if I could spot something to snack on. I didn't see anything other than mussels so I let out a sigh and started collecting a couple before taking them to the surface to crack open.

Once I surfaced I sat on a boulder and grabbed a small rock to crack them open. It was tedious but I didn't have the strength to collect better food at the moment. I was always weak in the morning, my muscles needed to be woken up. Sometimes it took till noon while other times it took around an hour. Either way, I was weak and vulnerable. if I had a mate to rely on I wouldn't worry as much, but that wasn't the case. I lived on the outer edges of the clan with my father since he was a warrior. His job is to protect the clan from outside attacks or to alert them from more large-scale attacks.

Being born into the position of a warrior's daughter meant that I had to learn medicine, how to teach, and how to raise young. Because on the outer edges, you are basically on your own. The only way for a female of my status to find a mate would be to go into the Clan and request an arranged mate. Then I will either be given a warrior's son or a male that is supposed to become a warrior. There really wasn't an exception for having your mate be the same gender as you when you lived as a warrior or in a warrior family. They expect you to have more children so they can have more warriors. It is a different story inside the clan though, it gets so crowded they welcome same-gender mates all the time. Sometimes I wish I lived in the clan because some of the females are so pretty. The only issue is the males look like twigs, while the warriors are well-built and could clearly protect.

I would get stared at because I'm slightly built, the typical standard that warrior mates are given. The females in the clan look so thin, it almost makes me subconscious of my muscle. I just have to remember our genetics are quite different, they are built to live in comfort so they can be thin. While I am built to live on the edge and to be able to protect my young if my mate can't make it in time.

Oh okay sorry...uhm. My character is Vixen, a fox humanoid. 18, bisexual, around 5'3, speaks english and I guess i'll figure the rest out later X_X

Vixen crawled out from under her cozy tree stump, yawning. Her ears flicked around. It was early and the morning dew still clung to the grass as the morning doves called out to each other in greeting.

Vixen sniffed around, hoping for the scent of a rabbit to come her way. No such luck. Vixen was a loner, relying on herself for food and protection. And she liked it that way. Her life was very peaceful and she had all the free time in the world, of course, it did get quite boring at times, but it was better than having to worry about other people in her life.

Her fluffy, orange tail was a complete messed. Her fur was ruffled in all kinds if directions, and her legs were quite stiff due to an odd posistion she had set herself up in during the middle of the night.

The morning dew on the grass felt nice and cool on Vixen's skin, giving her more motivation to hunt. She swiftly stalked through the dense wooded area she lived in, knowing her territory like the back of her tail. It was mostly quite shaded, but the sun did manage to poke out through a few leaves.

Vixen stopped dead in her tracks when she heard a slight rustle in the leaves. She looked down at the ground and a very slight movement caught her eye. A mouse! She smiled to herself. "Gotcha..." She waited until she saw the mouse's small face poke out of the leaves that laid on the ground. All of her muscles tensed up and...

POUNCE.

She quickly grabbed the mouse, giving it a bit of a shake before eating it. It didn't curb all of her hunger, but it would do for now. With her slim, lanky body, Vixen easily navigated her way back through the thick trees and found her usual pond where she drank from. If she was lucky, sometimes the fish would surface, but today they all seemed like they were at the bottom of the pond. She sighed but took a refreshing drink. "Gosh, it's quite pretty today..I wonder what I should do?" Vixen asked herself, looking around the woods.

Of course, there wasn't a lot to do. Although she usually sleeps through her mornings, she figured she would stay up a bit more. After all, who knows what kind of animals are out during mid-day!

I continued to crack open the muscles as my mind wandered until I got too distracted and hit my hand. I let out a large yelp and immediately retracted my hand. I let out a sigh and started to eat the meat inside the muscles as I finished removing the meat from the shells.

"You good?" a teasing voice said, and I turned to see my father.

"Yeah, just daydreaming again." I explained and his look softened

"Thinking about what you should do about the 'mate' situation?" he asked and I just nodded.

"I've been debating on going into the clan and requesting, but I guess I'm just nervous about it. I could try and check out the other lakes and ponds, but most won't know who I am and will probably get aggressive until they see my tribal tattoos. They don't exactly stand out against my pink scales and skin, unlike your red ones.," I carried on and he just nodded. He felt sympathetic for me because some males are pushy and want to start having kids right away. Sometimes the pair don't get along either, but they aren't allowed to try and find a different mate.

My father got lucky because he and my mom were the definition of opposites attract. He didn't bother trying to find another mate after she passed while having me. He didn't think anyone would want him this late in life as he already has two sons and a daughter.

I realized I was day dreaming again and he had swam off to leave me on my own. I sighed and continued to finish my food before anything could come along and try to steal it.

Vixen's stomach growled and she sighed, deciding to wander deeper into the woods. The territory soon became marshy and even though she wasn't really used to such terrain, Vixen still reamined stealthy, making sure no splashes could be heard. Small fish darted around in the waters, but they were much too small and too fast to make Vixen consider trying to catch them.

Eventually, she got to the point where she was almost swimming. She didn't mind the water, but it usually took her a bit of time to dry off, so she didn't want to stay for long. Despite this, she tilted her head at the sound of distant splashing. She silently padded forward, her ears twitching as she heard voices.

She snuck under the tall weeds that tickled her nose, tempting her to sneeze. Eventually, she caught sight of Axl and her father by the bank. Of course, Vixen knew that other species exisisted, and she was aware of the tribe's presence. However, Vixen was quite taken aback by how big they were.

Vixen suddenly sneezed, cursing softly to herself as she hoped none of them heard her. She could see Axl catching muscles and her mouth watered. What a nice snack those would be! She needed the power of distraction. Easy. But of course, she couldn't use this territory to her advantage. They probably knew the area better than her.

Vixen slowly made her way up one of the trees. The branches were very thin and the limbs were soft and very hard to keep her balance on. Vixen suddenly took a breath and jumped on one of the bigger branches. It snapped in half and just as it started to fall, Vixen ran back down to the base of the tree. The branch hit the water with a loud splash. She used the noise to cover up her footsteps as she drew closer.

I was lost in thought so when I heard the splash my head immediately shot up and I tried to see what caused it. When I didn't see anything I dove into the water, my tail knocking most of the mussels off the rock. I immediately went into the lakeweed and tried to hide as I watched the surface and beach. My father also came over after he heard the splash and he saw me hiding. Before he could open his mouth to ask I pointed at the branch sinking and then to the boulder I was sitting on. He immediately swam to the boulder and propped himself on it, practically knocking off the poor thing on it. I didn't know what it was yet, but it must not have been large.

Vixen huffed. Great. Now there was two of them. She would just have to be very..very quiet. She slunk under the weeds, making very careful and slow movements. Of course, her coloring didn't blend in very well with the weeds that could be seen through in some spots. She stretched herself out, quickly taking a handful of muscles before attempting to quickly run off even though she knew that they would see her. But in her thinking, she decided that yes, they may beat her in swimming, but they couldn't be as used to the ground and foliage as she was. Without looking back, she darted off, trying to get out of the marsh as quickly as possible.

Axl's Father, Nire, let out a huff and dove back down. He knew it was pointless to follow a land animal onto land. We weren't the fastest on land, and sometimes it would be an ambush. "I hope you are content with how much you ate because a fox stole what didn't fall in the water," He explained, Axl looked a little relieved.

"Yeah, at that point I was just trying to get something in my system to hold off until I have the strength to hunt." She explained with a weak smile. Her father nodded as his look softened and then hardened again before he swam back off.

I sighed and lay down on the lakeweed bed again, tired, not knowing what to do. There wasn't much for me to do anyway, my only role is to take care of the warrior and reproduce. So until I'm needed, I am basically useless here.

It didn't feel right, I would become depressed if I lay around any longer with nothing to do. I got up with a sigh, it was still early morning so if I wanted to go into the center of the clan I could make it back just before nightfall.

I went in search of my father, but when I saw him he was talking to another male around his age. There was a Younger male, still a child. I quickly ducked back down, but my father saw me.

"There she is," He said as he ushered me towards him and I hesitantly went to his side. "This is my daughter Axl, Axl this is Loe, he is an old friend of mine," he said

"It is lovely to meet you," The older male said

"It's nice to meet you too sir," I responded nervously,

"She is very polite, and you said she has learned to heal?" he asked my father who nodded. Loe examined me for a second and it just made my anxiety rise.

"You know I have a son around the same age as her, maybe when I get back I can relieve him and then send him over, see if they hit it off you know?" He said "It's better than the arranged stuff the clan does." he explained and my father nodded.

"I don't oppose the idea, and I know Axl won't either. She has been extremely down in the dumps because she doesn't have anything to do." He explained "It will be good for her," he said rubbing my back, it was his way of reassuring me with the stone-cold face he put up in front of others.
