character sheet WIP
Name: Cole Perry
Nicknames: Crooked Cole, Cold Cole, Parrot
Bounty: $230 and increasing
Job in gang: Cole leads most offensive operations, mainly train robberies and shootouts with rivals or the police/cowboys. Although he is not officially recognized as a leader of the gang, he has a comparatively high ranking due to his dangerous job and important presence.
-
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Sexuality: Homosexual. He doesn't go out of his way to hide it, but has been with some women a few times to avoid rumors being started about him.
Height: 5'10. Cole is taller than most of his fellow gang members.
Weight: Around 140 pounds
-
Appearance
完成画像
Credit: Picrewの「Old Timey Cowboy Maker」でつくったよ!
-
Cole is a muscular man who is taller than average height. His skin is tanned and sunburnt in some places, as he spends lots of time out in the hot sun.
-
Cole has a rectangular face with sharp facial features. He has a defined jaw and a long, straight nose. His thick eyebrows arch over green, eager eyes that always seem to have a hint of mischief in them. Cole also sports a bushy mustache with a messy stubble beard. He does not mind much for his facial hair, in fact he likes it messy and scrawny-looking.
Cole is often seen wearing a black, slightly floppy hat. It is with him almost all the time and he treats it like his treasure. Underneath his hat, he has short, unkempt, curly dark brown hair.
Because of his job as an outlaw and bandit, Cole bears multiple scars and bruises. The most apparent is the long gash on his left cheek, which has started to fade away over time, turning into a dark reddish-brown color. He got it from a close-combat battle with a rival gang, when he was slashed with a knife.
Cole is also said to be often wearing a red bandana tied around his neck. It bears a special resemblance to him as his first and only male lover gifted it to him before he died.
-
Cole really isn't the type to care much about his appearance, but he knows he has to dress decently at least to appear leaderlike. Usually, he wears a white button-up which he leaves unbuttoned at the collar. Sometimes, he wears a brown vest on top of it. Cole pairs his shirt with tough dark blue or black jeans with a huge brown belt. On cold days, he'll wear a black coat on the outside. He wears high, faded, leather brown boots.
-
Personality
Cole is a tough, swaggering, proud outlaw. He easily makes his presence known in a room with his booming voice and assertive leadership. He is quite intelligent and can catch on to things quite quickly. He knows how to make people happy, can tell what they need, and knows where to push someone's buttons as well. Because of this, many people like him and are easily obedient, allowing him to gain lots of followers. Cole was able to rise up easily in the ranks of his gang, and now leads the offensive team, a very important part of the gang. He is seen as a second-in-command by many, even though the leaders of the gang have not recognized him as that role.
The flip side of Cole's personality is that because he has become a leader, sometimes he will feel entitled and be condescending to others. He is a brash individual, and when filled with adrenaline, battle rush, or alcohol, he can get quite crazy and do reckless things. Sometimes, he does not know when to stop and will push something or someone's limits.
Many people may see him as an arrogant bragger because Cole knows how to talk to others and knows how to put himself out there. However, he knows that there is lots he doesn't know about and lots of things he doesn't know how to do yet. Out of the public eye, he will actually be very humble and modest- it is almost as if he is tired of being all loud and proud and now acts soft and sweet.
Indeed, Cole can be very sweet to the people he is close with. Secretly, he loves using pet names and enjoys physical affection. Cole has grown a little cold to love though, nowadays. After his first lover died, he was cast into a state of despair and misery for several months. He has gotten wary of those trying to approach him romantically and tries to push away any romantic feelings he may have for anyone.
Cole does not get very emotional easily, but when he does his emotions spill out like a river. He will act like a maniac, then be completely drained afterward.
Overall, Cole is a smart, calculating man who can be bold and reckless at times.
-
Strengths
Combat and shooting - Cole is quite skilled with battle: he is a great shooter and a master at hand-to-hand combat, due to his robbery and fighting experience.
Quick thinking and acting - Cole has learned to act and think quickly, for he has to in order to make the gang's operations work. He can flee a scene in a matter of seconds, and knows multiple tricks to disable others' weapons or blindfold or kidnap them.
Charismatic - Cole makes a great leader due to his high charisma. He is a great talker and can make others like him almost instantly. He can tell what they like and dislike and will try to act by that standard.
-
Weaknesses
Drinking - Cole has a decent alcohol tolerance, and he loves to drink at saloons. He has become a bit of an addict- nothing solves his problems better than a good ol' bottle of beer. Cole smokes too, except he does not like it as much so is not as addicted.
Easily excited - Adrenaline can easily get the best of Cole. He will take things to the extreme, act crazily, and do reckless things.
Assertive and condescending - At times, Cole can take advantage of his power and want to control everything. Sometimes he will even ridicule those below him.
-
Affiliations
Randy Perry - Father - Alive
Elizabeth Perry - Mother - Alive
Rose Perry - Older Sister - Alive
Joseph Sullivan - Ex-Lover - Deceased
-
Horse
Cole has a 6-year-old, stocky black mustang named Flare. Flare is not very tall, but is still quite strong. He has a black mane and black tail, with dark brown eyes.
Flare is a loyal horse who will let hardly anyone near him except for his rider. He is very obedient to Cole and is one of his closest companions. He is experienced with the work that he and Cole do, so has learned to tolerate gunshots and loud noises. He will, however, be scared by the smallest, most specific things, like lizards. Flare is also known to be very loud. He will neigh often and his walking always sounds like stomping. Luckily, he is not used for espionage.

~Elliot “Eli” Dunn~

~Age~
25 y/o

~Gender~
Male

~Sexuality~
Homosexual and while he does his best to keep it a secret, he's not one to shy away from having a fling here and there, he’s just discreet about it.

~Appearance~

(Credits~ @人間(男)メーカー(仮 on Picrew)

Standing at 5’7 the man would be considered a bit below average in height. Pale skin covers his lean body, never seeming to burn nor tan no matter how much time he spends out in the sun.

Eli’s clean-shaven face appears to have a diamond shape with a defined jawline and a straight, ever so slightly upturned nose. His eyebrows are thin with a light brown color while his lashes are rather long and hold a dark black shade. The young man’s hooded eyes with their icy gaze is what most people notice first about him. Under the left one of said eyes, Eli has a small beauty mark.

Platinum blond locks cover the man’s scalp, left parted and medium in length. It's slightly wavy and often hangs down in front of his face but on rare occasions he does go for a more neat hairstyle and then his hair is often swept back. Eli’s hair is something he rarely spends too much time on though, often letting it become far too long between each cut and not ever bothering with much of any upkeep.

When it comes to scarring, Eli doesn't have as much as some others might have, but he has enough. The most obvious is the one running straight across his nose which he received a few years back and it has slowly started to lighten in color. Apart from that, there's a few scars spread out across his body from all types of things, ranging from old bullet wounds and knife cuts to more minor things like cuts and bruises. The man seems to bruise very easily and sometimes bumping into a table a little too roughly can be enough to cause a bruise.

As for clothing, Eli is a simple man, he doesn't need nothing fancy. A pair of worn out jeans and a button-up shirt is more than enough for him. His boots are brown in color with some minor details, and it's the same with his hat, brown-colored and worn out. However he doesn't wear his hat all that much. When the weather gets colder he throws on a denim scout jacket, some chaps and gloves but the less he can wear the better really. If there is the need to, he does actually clean up very nicely, easily blending in with richer folk but he prefers to not have to.

~Personality~

On the outside, Eli has a sweet and friendly personality, not one to shy away from conversation. He’s always happy to help you out if you ask him and he comes across as a genuinely nice and caring guy most of the time.

This isn't the whole truth though, he’s not just this sweet guy eager to help the people around him and be of assistance. No, in fact he’s rather cunning and nearly everything he does is done for the profit of none other than himself, he does however hide this rather well and only few know the real him and his motives.

Eli is good at making you think he’s loyal to you and making you think he’s someone you can trust, which very much could be the truth, as long as it's beneficial for him. His loyalty lies wherever it's the most profitable for himself and it can change in a heartbeat. One day he’s your friend, the other he could be holding a gun to your head, ready to fire with no hesitation.

The young man does keep himself to one rule though, one he would never break, and that is to never lie. He’s not once told a lie, however he does tend to twist the truth in his favor, a lot. He’s good at spinning the truth and making you believe what he wants you to without having to lie. Just as he doesn't allow himself to lie, he doesn't tolerate being lied to either and you would not want to be caught lying to him.

Anger is something Eli learnt to control a long time ago and his anger doesn't come out as an explosion like mosts do, he doesn’t start shouting and swearing nor does he get immediately violent. Quite the opposite actually, he becomes silent and calculating, thinking of the best way to deal with the situation. Whatever he decides to do, he often goes through with it, few being able to stop him from following through. Your prior relationship to the man rarely affects how he decides to handle the situation, if you anger or betray him then you immediately lose any and all respect and value you might have had in his eyes.

When it comes to love, Eli is a tricky person. He often refuses to let himself get so close to another person that he starts to develop these feelings and if he does, then he also does his best to remove himself from the situation, leaving behind whatever he had to get away and try to forget those feelings quickly because when he falls in love, he falls hard. He would do anything for the person he loves and they are also the only one who’ll see the true him, not the fake nice or the manipulative and cunning one, just him.

~Strengths~

Good shot ~ Now to say that he has a fool-proof aim would be a lie, no one does and even if Eli’s aim is very good, it's far from as good as the best.

Agile ~ Quick on his feet and able to move through the toughest of terrains and hard to reach places with ease, the man is very agile.

High pain tolerance ~ Throughout the years, Eli has built up a high pain tolerance making him extremely resilient and despite his fighting skills not being the best, he gets up again and again after being beaten down.

~Weaknesses~

Smoking ~ Smoking is one of the man’s bad habits, resulting in his stamina being quite shitty. He’s resilient when, for example, fighting, yes, and while he would get up a million times to keep fighting rather than laying down and admitting defeat, he’ll also get sloppy and tired quickly, panting for air during and long after.

Fighting skills ~ When it comes to hand-to-hand combat, Eli really isn't that good, he's not got a crazy tone of strength nor is he very skilled, the only thing making him somewhat successful is his resilience and the fact that he refuses to back down easily.

Control freak ~ If it hasn't already been made obvious, the man thrives when he can control the people around him as well as the outcome of situations. When he can't do just that it’s as if his freedom is taken from him and, obviously, he doesn't like it very much and can go to quite drastic lengths to regain the control he once had.

~Affiliations~

Cassidy Dunn ~ Mother
~Alive~
Christian Dunn ~ Father
~Alive~
Darwin Dunn ~ Older Brother
~Deceased~
Elaina Dunn ~ Older Sister
~Alive~

Iris Dunn ~ Wife
~Alive~
Eli never says a word about her nor does he have any wish to see that woman again but they are still technically married. Last time they saw each other a few years ago, they weren't exactly on friendly terms though.

Tobias Layton ~ Ex-Lover
~Deceased~
Not only was Tobias the only person that Eli would ever admit to have loved, he was also the brother of Iris and one of the causes for the sour relationship between Eli and his wife. Just like Iris, he does not talk about Tobias but that doesn't mean he doesn't sometimes still think of the man.

~Other~

One may not guess it and it would surprise most but Eli was born to a wealthy and rather well-known family however he doesn't have much to thank them for and leaving them and his old life is one of the best decisions he’s ever made. Anything he knows now is thanks to himself, being born with a silver spoon didn't benefit him in the life he now lives.

For some time he was on his own, working odd-jobs at different farms and never staying long in one place but eventually he ran into this one gang and out of convenience, he decided to join them.

~Horse~

Soleil, the man's five year old thoroughbred mix stallion, is a wild one. He’s got a lovely cremello coat with a pearly shine to it. His mane and tail is long and rather unruly, often a bit tangled. He’s got light blue eyes, holding a wild look.

He’s unfortunately not one to trust as he isn't exactly tame. Eli got him for cheap just a few months ago from a ranch owner who had trouble with the young stallion and has been trying to train him since. The horse has a mind of its own and a tendency to strike at anyone coming close or trying to get rid of his rider, if you even get as far as to mount him. He spooks easily and has a lot of blood, making him very explosive. The stallion is weary of people in general and doesn't let just anyone walk up to him and handle him.

~
Eli also has a playlist: Eli

It was a nice day, the sun shining through the leaves of the forest and a nice cold breeze that would occasionally sweep by, making the warm weather much more bearable. You could hear the birds singing happily, filling the forest with their lovely song. It was just a nice day, perfect for relaxation and fun.

Relaxation and fun wasn't exactly what was on the mind of Wolcott’s Hellions though. The whole gang was on edge and had been for the past weeks. With the war they were currently in, there was no such thing as relaxing, everyone had to be prepared for the worst at all times, they never knew when an attack could occur. But despite that there were still some people trying to keep the mood up and light-hearted chattering could be heard around the camp fire as a few gang members where cleaning their guns, and the camp cook was whistling along with the bird song as he was preparing a stew.

The peaceful sounds were soon interrupted by rapid hoove beats coming closer and closer to camp, birds now flapping away in a panic and the camp falling dead silent as the members on guard cocked their rifles, ready to fire. However instead of an enemy gang making themselves seen, a cream colored horse soon made its appearance, coming to an abrupt stop and throwing itself to the side when it realized how close it had come to one of the guards before trotting towards where the other horses stood, its tail held high and eyes wide.

In the next second, the camp broke out into a laughter of relief once they realized it was just Soleil, a tacked up Soleil without his rider. It wasn't an all too uncommon occurrence for the horse to return without his rider, in fact it was something that would happen about once a week, at the very least. The stallion was untrustworthy and a master at throwing riders off.

It wasn't long until a dirt covered man could be seen between the trees, limping towards camp with a tired expression on his face. Elliot Dunn, a young man who had the unfortune to own Soleil, slowly reached camp, just sighing as he headed towards the stallion who was now happily munching on some hay next to a small Appaloosa.

“What was it this time Eli? Another deer?” A brown haired man asked in a teasing tone while holding back laughter.

“5 bucks says it was a bird!”

“No it was for sure a rock!”

“My money’s on a leaf blowing in the wind!”

The members all starting shouting out their bets on what had caused the horse to spook this time, all while Eli just shook his head and laughed. “Jasper wins this time, goddamn raven flew up in front of us and he flipped, threw me on a rock though,” he revealed as he slowly got close to the horse, managing to grab its reins before it could run away from him. Eli then proceeded to tie the stallion up to the post they had nearby, starting to untack it while ignoring the pain in his side.

“Elliot Dunn!” The voice of an older woman rang through the camp as she emerged from her tent, having heard the commotion, “Ya 'oughtta get rid of that animal before he kills ya, come here so I can look at yer injuries,” she ordered, causing the man to hurry up with the untacking of Soleil.

“I’m sorry Mrs. Reed,” he said as he then limped over to the woman, a sheepish grin on his face as he approached the woman who promptly gestured for him to sit down on the chair in front of her.

“Take yer shirt off,” she muttered, “This is the second time this week, ya know I won't always be around to patch ya up,” She scolded as the blond man unbuttoned his shirt, taking it off only to see a tear with that blood had started seeping through the fabric around it and sighing softly.

“Oh Elisa, don't say that, you ain’t leaving us anytime soon,” Eli answered in a charming tone, only resulting in a light smack on his head.

“Don't ya “Oh Elisa” me, it's Elisabeth or Mrs. Reed to ya, lunkhead,” she scolded once again, this time in a bit of a softer tone though, so clearly Elliot's attempt to charm the woman into niceness had worked, although just very briefly it seemed. She then started to examine his wound, sighing and muttering quietly under her breath before poking at a bruise that was from just the other day, causing the man to grimace in discomfort and twist away from her. “See, ya don't even have time to heal one injury before ya go out and get another. One day I won't even be able to patch ya up again, either stay on or get rid of him. Now stay here and I'll go fetch sumthing to clean this with, all covered in dirt.”

“Yes ma’am,” Eli answered with a soft sigh, leaning back gently in his chair, watching Elisabeth leave before turning his gaze to look at the other gang members who once again broke into laughter at the scene they had just witnessed. It was hard to tell what part of Elliot falling of Soleil they enjoyed the most, him comping back limping, betting on what Soleil spooked at, or Mrs. Reed scolding him everytime. Eli just turned his gaze away again, not finding the whole ordeal as amusing as his fellow gang members did, instead he fished the pack of cigarettes and matches out of his pocket to light a cigarette.

It was a calm and quiet day like no other. The wind danced through the forest, making the plants sway to its rhythm. The birds were the melody, singing beautiful, cheerful tunes.

It would have been a beautiful choral performance if not for the group of hot, sweaty men on their horses treading through the forest. The consistent cursing of finding a mosquito on themselves and the snorting of the horses interrupted nature’s song and sent all wildlife scattering.

Cole Perry halted his horse, Flare, and looked back at the Rioters of Rockwell’s offensive team. As their leader, he took full responsibility for their actions and knew he had to look after them. That included having to tolerate some inexperienced newbies.

“Ay! Dan, keep up!” He whisper-shouted. They were on a covert mission to spring a surprise attack on their enemy gang, Wolcott’s Hellions, and had to keep quiet. Simply thinking of the name made Cole want to knash his teeth together.

There was an area between the forest and desert that many gangs had been fighting over for ages now after the original gang had been taken into custody by cowboys and police. It was perfect- there was a small river running through and the area contained both forest and desert environments. It was a popular trade and hangout spot as well, and thus was extremely wealthy. For the past few months, gangs had been fighting for control of this area. In the last couple of weeks, the fight had turned into a battle between Wolcott’s Hellions and The Rioters of Rockwell, two of the strongest gangs.

There had been lots more bloodshed, death, and injury recently. Cole’s gang’s leaders had decided to even pause their current train robbery or raid operations, as they needed all hands on deck. To make matters worse, the two gangs didn’t start off on the right foot either. Cole found himself frustrated, angry, and uptight recently after seeing so many of his men get killed or injured. He had been eagerly anticipating this surprise attack, hoping to avenge some of his fellow gang members and friends in the gang.

Thinking about Wolcott’s Hellions surprised and in pain made him smirk evilly. Let’s get this going, he thought. Cole turned back on his horse and looked around. They were standing on a hill just overlooking the Hellions’ camp. If he squinted hard enough, he could see people moving around, minding their own business. He could see a couple guards, but everyone else looked pretty relaxed to him- smoking, drinking, chatting, taking care of their wounds. He saw a young man flinching in pain at getting a wound cleaned, and another older man whistling a merry tune as he cooked something in a pot.

“Alright, men,” Cole said, turning back to his team and jumping off Flare. “We’re gonna attack these stupid Hellions, and we’re gonna surprise them.” He gestured down below, where the camp was. “They’re right there. Remember the plan- we’re gonna go split into two and go down the 2 sides of this hill, barge in, and attack ‘em.”

Cole took his pistol out from its holster. “Aight, let’s do a check.”

“Guns loaded?” Check.

“Got extra ammo?” Check.

“Got medical supplies?” Check.

“Rope?” Check.

“Hankerchiefs or bandanas?” Check.

“Good.” Cole looked at everyone on the team in turn. “Jus’ think about gettin’ revenge for our gang, our men, alrigh’? Try ta’ get some hostages as well.”

He nodded to himself and huffed out a deep breath. “We’re gonna make this worth our time.”

Cole could feel the adrenaline of a battle getting to him already. His heart was racing and jumping around wildly inside his chest. He suddenly felt energized and full of life, his muscles warming up and activating. Hell, was he ready to spring this attack. He saw Flare shuffle anxiously beside him as well.

He grinned. “Y’all ready? Let’s go.”

It wasn't long before Mrs. Reed made her return, putting out medical supplies on the table in front of Elliot before she began to clean his wound. It was filled with debris from the forest floor and it made the man flinch when she got to work on removing it, sucking in air between clenched teeth.

“Oh stop whinin’ and sit still will ya?” Elisabeth muttered as she slapped the back of the blond’s head causing the few gang members who were still watching to let out some chuckles. For the most part though, the other members had gone back to what they had previously been doing.

Eli muttered something incoherent in response but remained still from that point, smoking his cigarette and doing his best to shift his focus away from the pain. The young man shut his eyes and listened to the sounds around him, trying to relax a little, and after a while it worked, the pain grew less and he sat listening to the harmonic bird song that was slowly returning as the birds seemed to have realized that the galloping horse had been no threat to them.

A few moments later, Elisabeth spoke again after having just finished putting bandages over Eli’s wound, “There ya go, now go get yerself cleaned up. Yer filthy,” she told him as she began picking the medical supplies off the table, “And stay on that devil of a horse if ya plan on keeping him. Damned thing would be better off at the butcher’s,” the last part she muttered a bit quieter but it was still loud enough for Eli to hear.

“Yes ma’am and thank you,” Elliot sighed as he stood up, throwing his ruined shirt over his shoulder as he began to limp over to his tent. What he really wanted was to catch a few hours of sleep, having had been on guard duty for most of the previous night and while it seemed as perfect timing now to catch some shuteye, the camp being calm and there being seemingly no threat lurking in the tree line, he also knew better than to defy Mrs. Reed. If he went to rest now before cleaning up, she would be there pushing his face down into a bowl of water and making sure he’d scrub himself clean.

Elisabeth Reed was one of few people he truly respected, the woman knew what she wanted and did not take lightly to someone going against her. She sure did annoy him at times but for the time being, he had no intentions of doing anything about her, who else would be there to patch him up if not her?

Stopping at his tent, Elliot leaned over a bucket with some water, splashing some of it in his face and beginning to scrub the dust and dirt in his face away with his hands. Going down to the river in his state could prove dangerous and he simply did not have the energy to actually do it either so while this certainly wasn't the best way to get clean, it would have to do.

Grabbing a piece of cloth, Elliot wiped his face dry once he had decided that he was clean enough before letting himself lay down on the makeshift bed he called his and shutting his eyes with a heavy sigh.

Finally.

Some peace and quiet at last.

Cole was the experienced captain of the Rioters' offense team, but he could never get over the adrenaline rush of battle. He absolutely loved the feeling of being able to unleash all his inner turmoil and madness. His heart would completely take over in all his decisions, and although he would do stupid, reckless things, he almost felt like battle was a place where he could dump all his bottled-up emotions into.

The 26-year-old leader felt the same thrill as he and his horse bolted down the side of the hill with half of his team. His second-in-command was leading the other side, and Cole could see him matching his own pace from the corner of his eye. The enemy camp was right in front of them, just a couple hundred yards ahead. Both rider and horse were breathing heavily, sweating from the sweltering heat, but both were exhiliarated.

What a sight to see for those Hellions, Cole thought to himself pridefully. Flare's strong muscles glinting in the sunlight as he ran forward, Cole crouched over on the saddle, gun in hand, and the rest of his team charging toward them... An ambush that ought to teach them a lesson.

The guards standing watch were the first to notice the Rioters and hear their horses' storming hoofbeats. They cocked their rifles and shouted and yelled to the other Hellions as their bullets rained down all around Cole.

Cole simply smiled to himself and spurred Flare on. He could tell the guards' shots were quickly fired and not aimed well in their panic, and so he could easily dodge the bullets by using his horse's speed and agility. In one quick draw, Cole aimed his pistol and shot a nearby guard. The guard's cry of pain was enough to activate the rest of his team, and the Rioters charged.

"For the Rioters of Rockwell!" Cole yelled through the din of gunshots, cries, and shouts. Now, he thought, the battle is on.

He eagerly ran forward into the midst of the enemy camp, followed by his gang.

It wasn't long until Elliot started drifting off, both his body and mind were tired, they had longed for sleep nearly all day and with how peaceful the camp was being, it was not hard to give into it and drift off.

This peacefulness did not remain for long though. Almost as soon as the man had fully succumbed to sleep, shouting and gunfire awoke him.

The blond man shot up, his eyes wide open as he sat up, looking around just in time to see one of their guards collapse to the ground as a bullet pierced them. Emmet, who had been far from his favorite in the gang, a young boy with a big mouth and an ego to match its size, despite his brain being the size of a pea, but that did not mean he wanted to see him fall dead.

This gang was the closest thing to friends he had and he didn't want to see any one of them murdered by the bastards that were the Rioters Of Rockwell. But much less did he want to fall victim to their bullets himself and in a time like this, he would always protect himself first. While Emmet’s shot had not seemed immediately lethal, Eli was not about to risk his own life by running out and trying to save the boy.

No, instead, Eli lunged off his bed, diving to the ground and over to a nearby table which, in one swift motion, the man tipped over to use as a form of cover.

The pain from his injuries seemed to have disappeared completely as adrenaline filled his body. It would be a lie to say that he didn't enjoy a good shootout every now and then, but typically he preferred to be on the side with the advantage, something he now clearly wasn't.

Crouching down behind the table, the blond stuck his head up briefly to try and get a grasp off how many of the Rioters had flooded their camp in this ambush, but their camp had turned into a complete and total war zone in the matter of seconds, bullets flying from both sides, bodies dropping to the ground as their blood painted it a crimson red, shouting as people ran for cover, trying to save their own skin while the Rioters chased after, either physically or with bullets. It was a gruesome scene to say the least.

For a brief second, Elliot’s eyes locked with the eyes of a Rioter and he quickly had to duck his head down as a bullet was fired at him. Luckily for him, it missed and flew right over his head.

Instead of continuing to try and assess the situation, Eli turned to the only other solution that there was, he grabbed his pistol from its holster on his hip, doing a quick check to make sure it was loaded before once again, peeking over the table. This time however, he wasted no time looking around, instead his eyes found the first and best Rioter before raising his trusty pistol and taking aim before firing a shot.

Seeing the man go limp on top of his horse was enough to bring a smirk to Elliot's lips as he ducked down again to avoid the rain of bullets that came from a gang member to the now dead man. They were the ones who had started this and Elliot would be damned if he didn't make sure they had to pay for it.

Wolcott’s Hellions were at a clear disadvantage against their attackers but he was sure that they could still put up a good enough fight to at least make the men retreat. They weren't one of the strongest and most well known gangs out there for nothing after all, it just seemed like the Rioters needed a reminder of this.

Pure pleasure, it was, to see the surprise on those Hellions’ faces as the Rioters stormed into their camp. Everyone was in a frenzy- yelling, screaming, and fumbling With their weapons. Cole couldn’t help but laugh each time he struck down a Hellion. Especially when one of them fell in the middle of trying to defend themselves. It was utterly hilarious.

“These idiots can’t even fight a war if they tried!” Cole yelled to his gang as he ducked to avoid a bullet flying over his head. He heard thundering laughter in response and roars of battles cries from the Hellions.

It was easy to see the Rioters had the advantage. The Hellions' bodies’ were strewn about, rivers of blood flowing from their wounds. It was pooling up and creating dark red puddles in some places where multiple people lay together. The tents and walls were dotted with bullet holes, and furniture had all been knocked over and trampled. Some of the Hellions' horses had escaped and ran away in the commotion as well.

This was not to say the Rioters had not suffered any losses as well, however. Cole had seen the gang through a lot and by now he had accepted deaths and injuries as something that would happen every time there was attacking or shooting involved, but he still flinched when he saw a particularly smart and cunning young Rioter fall from his horse, knowing he would soon be trampled by the many other horses and humans running about.

Cole was managing his men and observing the environment around him while trying to lead the attack at the same time. If a Hellion tried to run, Cole would immediately send a group of Rioters To surround them and try to take them hostage. If a Rioter seemed to be injured or needed backup, he would try to run over and help or call for his men to help. Every time he saw a Rioter’s dead body, he would murmur a quick thanks to them for their work and move on. The bodies would be cleaned out later, after they defeated these Hellions.

Everything was going in favor for the Rioters- the Hellions were hit by rounds upon rounds of bullets. There were just so many bullets flying everywhere it looked Like a whole swarm of them was chasing each Hellion. Cole grinned to himself, and, unable to resist the urge, opened fire on the enemies who had caused his gang so much suffering. he knew he was trying to take hostages, but it was hard for everyone to not try to have their sweet, sweet revenge. The screams had never sounded better.

Cole had just taken out a squat little Hellion with wiry hair and beard when he suddenly heard a yell from his second-in-command. As he turned swiftly on Flare and rushed toward him, the sight of James, a longtime member of the Rioters, came into view. He was sliding off his white mare, who was prancing around wildly in the commotion. It was obvious that he was, unfortunately, dead. His body was limp and his limbs flew about in every which way as his horse galloped. His hat had fallen off his head, and his gun was nowhere to be seen- probably dropped somewhere in the midst of the camp after getting killed.

Cole valued and trusted all his men, and he knew the feeling was returned by them as well. Having known James for quite a long time, his connection with him was stronger than most. Now here he was years later, seeing his dead body, with blood still gushing from a gunshot wound.

And after so many years of working together, he didn't know what to feel.

He was just numb. Numb, all over.

There was no emotion, no feelings. Time seemed to slow as Cole soaked in the image of dead, actually, really, dead, James.

James was great at short-range combat.

He was rude, short, and irritable, but he would be willing to sacrifice himself to whoever won his respect and loyalty.

He and Cole had seen each other through shootouts, wounds, injuries, victories, losses, anything you could think of.

It was horrible.

What a goddamn bloody mess those Hellions, those killers were!

When Cole got over-emotional, his heart would take over his mind and his emotions would flow out like a river. Tears could not be stopped, anger could not be controlled.

And Cole was sure as hell right now that whoever killed James would pay. No matter how long it took or how hard it was. He had to be avenged.

He didn't feel anything else. The mourning would come later. But right now, the only emotion that occupied his mind? Rage.

Cole whirled around and faced his second, who was still shooting furiously at a tent. His teeth were gritted, his knuckles white from gripping his gun. He noticed Cole and yelled, "Damn bastard's in here! Hidin' behind a table!"

Cole nodded and gripped his gun. He felt his face twist into a snarl. There was only one thing he could do about this.

He jumped off his horse, ran into the tent, and started shooting.

Screams of pain and panic continued to ring out through camp in between the sounds of hoof beats and gunfire. What had been a peaceful and quiet camp just moments ago had now turned into a chaotic battlefield, and in all honesty, Elliot was loving it.

This was something his old life could never give him. The amount of adrenaline pumping through his veins gave him an almost euphoric feeling. To him it was wild to think that people did not want this, how people could feel alive without ever experiencing things like this.

The Rioters would fall in this chaos he was sure of it. Yes they had caught his gang off guard but this was their camp, their home grounds, and if the Rioters thought for a second that they had the advantage, they were wrong.

By the end of this battle he would be cleaning up the bodies of dead Rioters and he would take immense joy in doing so, he could already see it in front of him, their limp bodies laying on the ground in defeat. Oh how he would enjoy it.

Victory was theirs and Eli would be damned if he was wrong.

The blond’s thoughts were cut short though–.

Suddenly a Rioter came charging into his tent, interrupting not only his thoughts but his actions, stopping him just as he was about to peek over the table and fire back at their attackers when he was instead joined by one of them.

The man fired wildly towards Elliot who threw himself to the side. He raised his gun, only to find it jamming on him in the worst possible moment of his life.

Curses spewed out the man's mouth as he threw himself to the side once more to avoid a rain of bullets. The young man’s cursing only growing more vulgar as a bullet had managed to scrape his arm. After taking just a moment to glance at the wound, Elliot then launched forward, right towards the Rioter.

He crashed his own body into the other man’s, arms wrapping around the waist of the man as Eli used all his force to try and knock the man to the ground, hoping he would be able to get the revolver out of the hands of the Rioter and leave them to a fairer fight. Or even better, one where the Rioter was left unarmed and Elliot able to blow his brains out with the man’s own gun.

“You're dead cowpoke,” Eli snarled between clenched teeth. He was not going to die at the hands of another man, especially not if that man happened to be a Rioter, it was out of the question. The blond would fight with all he had and more before he let a Rioter kill him.

((A bit on the shorter side, sorry about that))
