Finished!!

Name: Reika Scarrow

Age: 23 years

Gender: Female

Appearance:

The first thing most people notice about Reika is how masculine she seems. Though she's only a little over five feet tall, she is nearly solid muscle, with a physique that an athlete would envy. Years of wrestling dragons into submission will do that to a person. Her arms are muscular and her shoulders are broad, with her hips slightly narrow for a woman. In full winter riding gear, it is easy to mistake her as a male, especially if she has her long hair pulled back like she often does.

The second thing that people often notice about her is the old, dark scar of a dragon fire burn on her entire right arm, from her fingertips to her shoulder and even reaching its tendrils of flame across parts of her chest and side. She has slightly limited function of her right hand as a result of the nerve damage from the injury, but had long learned to use her left to compensate. She usually wears fingerless gloves to protect her palms while riding, and in her winter gear, the scar is fully hidden from view.

Her skin tone is fairly dark, well-tanned from many days spent in the sun. Freckles litter her face and shoulders, concentrated on her nose and cheeks. A mess of curly dark caramel brown hair frames her round face, reaching to just below her shoulders, though she often has it pulled back into a messy attempt at a bun. Her large eyes are a light amber, catching the light at times to appear golden.

Her wardrobe choice is simple--functional. In the summertime, she is often spotted wearing thick canvas pants with lots of pockets, a lightweight tank top, and heavy boots designed with the stirrups of her chosen saddle in mind. Her gloves are a year-round staple; her hands would be perpetually marred by reins or dragon scales otherwise. During the winter, her summer outfit is supplemented with a heavy, hooded coat, canvas on the outside and lined with fur, thicker gloves, and a warm neck gaiter pulled up to her nose to ward off the worst of the winter chill.

Personality:

Bold, reckless, and fiercely stubborn. Reika is, to say the least, a very passionate person. She cares deeply for what she believes in, she's loyal to those she calls friends, and frighteningly protective when those friends are threatened. However, like most riders, she has no respect for the law, and even less respect, if it were possible, for the current king. She goes where she pleases, does what she wants, and scrapes by with what little money she gets from dragon sympathizers with odd jobs.

When it comes to the dragons themselves, she has survived as long as she has because of a mutual respect. There is an understanding that dragons will never be tame, or even close to it. Her own dragon would bite her the moment she turned her back. A dragon can never be trusted, and Reika knows better than most. But she loves her life, she wouldn't trade the chaos and constant danger for anything. She finds dragons dangerously beautiful, like flirting with death every time she straps a saddle to those razor-like scales. There's something about tempting fate that makes one feel so ALIVE.

History:
She was not born a dragon rider. In fact, considering the circumstances of her early childhood, her lifestyle is fairly shocking. Her village was destroyed by a wild dragon when she was five years old. Her parents were lost in the chaos. But the riders were there. They had tracked the wild dragon's rampage and tried to stop the attack before it happened. When their attempt to save the town was unsuccessful, the dragon riders stayed to help the survivors rebuild. When they left, Reika begged to come with them. The small tribe took in this orphaned girl, and taught her their ways, though she did not get her own dragon until much later.

Her first dragon was not a success story. She was sixteen, and not ready. The dragon was a fire-breather, the most common kind. He was not well-trained, and within only a few months, he became too dangerous to handle. When he caused the burns on her arm, the tribe made the decision to keep him from injuring anyone else. Since then, she has kept her distance from fire-breathers, but when a young venomous dragon was offered for trade by a neighboring tribe a year later, she immediately took up their offer.

Thus, she obtained Haaku.

Since then, she has invested countless hours of training, working to prevent any future incidents. She's been bitten enough times by her own dragon that she's nearly immune to the venom. Haaku, however, was one of the best-trained dragons in the tribe.

She had just turned twenty when the incident happened in the capital. Like all dragon riders, she was left stunned and saddened when a previously well-behaved dragon suddenly turned on its rider and went on to cause a trail of destruction across the heart of the kingdom. Her shock turned to horror as the dragon rider population began to dwindle. A neighboring tribe's dragon watering place was poisoned. Her tribe dwindled, one by one the dragon-rider pairs disappeared until it was just Reika and Haaku.

She's wandered ever since. It's been over a year since she's seen another rider. It's dangerous to meet up because two dragons together attract attention. Attention, in this kingdom, gets riders killed.

Dragon Information:

Haaku is a sleek, long-limbed dragon with large wings. Her scales, with razor-like edges that she can use as a defense mechanism by standing them up like a pinecone, are a deep matte black in color. Her narrow eyes are amber yellow, nearly the same color as Reika's but a bit more yellow. Her pupil is a catlike slit. Naturally, she is nocturnal, but she has adjusted to a diurnal life. Haaku is built for rapid flight. She is not built for stamina or brute strength, though even a weak dragon is incredibly strong in human terms. She measures around thirty feet from nose to tail, with a wingspan of forty feet. This is fairly small for a dragon, and Haaku herself is expected to grow more before she reaches her final size. She does have very sharp talons and teeth, but her primary weapon is her venom.

While her venom is not deadly, it is still a valuable weapon in combat. Within two to three minutes of being bitten, a victim will be rapidly consumed by delirium, severe vertigo and balance issues, and weakness which can progress to mild paralysis. These are accompanied, for most victims, by severe muscle and joint pain, and for some especially unfortunate victims, by vivid hallucinations and fever in later stages. Needless to say, being bitten by this dragon is something to avoid. However, the symptoms of poisoning will usually ease after about a day, and vanish completely after two days.

Reika is nearly immune to the toxin. If she is bitten, depending on the amount of venom, she can almost completely avoid the weakness and balance issues, but she usually can't escape the pain and she's going to be a little loopy for a bit. She can usually sleep it off, and the symptoms rarely last longer than a few hours for her.

Again, I'm so sorry <3
Ill have the personality up in a second

~-+★+-~

Name
Finch Pervak
"The Golden Child"

Age
23 years old

Gender
Male - Masculine

Appearance
Finch is known as the golden child, the king's favorite, the heir to a golden throne, whatever other titles you wanna call him. Being as such and with consideration he's grown up surrounded by guards and servants, the prince is neat and stands with an arrogance, like he knows that nobody can touch him without consequences. With his somewhat taller than average height, his dirty blonde colored hair is neat but also somewhat wild, like the look is intentional and somehow works for him, and his eyes are a deep brown color that looks a bit like amber. It's hard for some to believe he's ever had a bad hair day in his life, or maybe that's why his hair is styled a little wild. Finch's skin is rough with calisters but also free from any scars or pores along his skin other than the one on his knee from when he had been younger.

His attire within the castle is, as you would expect, expensive. Covered within white colored shirts and deep purple capes made from silk, and pants and boots of the finest materials, dyed black as midnight and tailored to fit him almost perfectly. Finch in particular has a white colored Poet's shirt with the emblem of the kingdom, one hilt but three swords protruding from it, stitched in an outline of gold where his heart lays and over the fabric is an ebony colored vest with patterns of silver embroidery. Both the boots that he wears and his pants are black as midnight, and it's easy to tell his shoes are taken care of regularly. Over his shoulders rests a thick purple colored cloak similar to that of the king's own, with a deep tone, colored like a much darker mauve, and golden embroidery of various patterns and borders along the outside edge before ending before it can disappear behind the white fur lining the end of it. The cloak is clasped around his neck by a thin, golden pin that locks into a large clasp at the front that rests at the base of his throat. A somewhat small golden crown can be seen on his mess of dirty blonde hair, though it's visibly much smaller than the king's own and isn't embedded with as many jewels.

Outside of the palace the prince prefers to dress much less elaborate than he does within the walls of his palace. Gone is the cape, instead replaced by a black cloth cloak with a small silver clip at the front and a hood at the back to help hide his identity. His Poet's shirt sleeves are rolled up to his elbows and a leather belt sits around his waist with a silver longsword with a golden hilt. His crown is replaced by a silver clip of three blades coming from one sword hilt, and that clip holds some of the right part of his hair back. Within colder weather he'll wear brown leather gloves and a jacket under his cloak that's made from some kind of fancy material and a scarf can be seen wrapped around his neck, the same deep purple as the royal colors

It was typical for Reika to visit this specific tavern, once or twice a week. In fact, it was as close to a routine that the dragon rider could get; tying her beast down a few hundred yards from the shabby, freestanding tavern and heading inside for a few drinks and an attempt to forget, for even a few minutes, that the whole world was against her and her kind.

It helped that this little hidden gem of a tavern was one of the shadier types, and the people unlikely to report the presence of a rider. The patrons often met here to discuss less than legal matters, and Reika was often swept into their conversations by default due to her lifestyle.

Tonight, it just so happened that she was met at the door by a man she hadn't met before. Eyes narrowed, she looked over the stranger for a moment, before slipping past him and moving to the counter. "You know the drill," she spoke to the bartender, sliding a couple of coins across the worn wooden bar before settling onto a stool to wait for her drink.

The stranger did not leave her be, much to her annoyance, and she turned to face him with a distrustful gaze as he sat on a neighboring stool.

"Reika Scarrow?"

"How do you know my name?

"You are well-known in these parts. A rider is not easily missed. I've quite a lucrative business proposal for you."

Arms crossed over her chest, Reika leaned back with an incredulous look, one eyebrow raised slightly. "And this proposal is?"

"It has come to my... employer's... attention that you are a bit pressed for coin at the moment, and he has a generous offer to benefit both you and himself."

"Spit it out," Reika snapped, furrowing brows betraying that she was growing rapidly impatient with his delay.

"There is a certain individual who finds himself with a price on his head. I am sure you are familiar with such status, Reika Scarrow," the man hesitated for a moment, pulling a piece of old parchment out of his bag and carefully unrolling the paper to display an unflattering sketch of her face. "This individual requires safe transport, by dragon, to the Capital."

"To the Capital?" Reika snorted with laughter, grabbing the glass that was offered to her by the bartender and raising it to her lips. "I guess you think I have a death wish. You know just as well as I do that no dragon is flying into that hellhole. Those bastards shoot them down long before they reach the city. Besides, I'm not a damn coach for transporting criminals." Reaching out, she snatched the wanted poster from his hand, folding it and tucking it into her own pocket.

As she returned her empty glass to the bar, rising to her feet and turning to walk out of the tavern, the heavy metallic thud of a bag of coins on the counter made her pause. When she looked back, coat already halfway pulled over her shoulders, the cloaked stranger met her gaze with a grin. "A quarter up front," he said, gesturing to the hefty, red velvet bag filled to the brim with silver pieces. "And a whole lot more where that came from."

A year's wages. More. For a two week journey, if she took her time? Hell yeah, she'd risk getting shot at a few times for that.

The next night, around the same time, found her flying into a fairly quiet village, amber eyes scanning over the buildings until she was able to spot the sign she searched for. An inn; her precious passenger was inside, hopefully not asleep. She needed him awake and aware; dragon riding was not for the faint of heart and it certainly was not for the half-asleep. She'd been told to wait at the outskirts of town, and that he would meet her there around midnight.

Circling until she found a clearing suitable for landing a dragon, she took a moment to secure Haaku's muzzle, smoothing her dragon's sleek black scales as she did so. Then, settling cross-legged on the grass, she waited for the man to arrive. She had been given a name - Finch - and a vague description of his appearance, but most importantly, she was looking for a flash of purple. A scarf, specifically, but anything purple would do. Otherwise, she supposed she would have to sic Haaku on whoever walked out of the woods.

A shame.
