Backstory:
Sari was known in her little village for being the one that others could rely on. Her younger siblings would call her Riri as it was easier for them to pronounce. When she turned 16 she went to work at the local noble’s home with her mother as one of the maids/ladies-in-waiting. Not always one to keep her tongue held firmly in her mouth, it wasn’t uncommon for the young woman to come home with tear streaks down her face, tears in the back of her dress, with bloody bandages. The whippings grew fewer as she learned to keep her thoughts to herself and she did not fight against the lady or her daughter as often. The scars that line her back are a constant reminder that her silence and discipline was taught through pain and misery.
