Emerging from the cave Celeste or Alkele stepped forth. It was a cave that had the river inside, but Celeste hadn't gotten soaked all the way, while still was wet in some places. But she had made it. Something shone in her eyes. She knew she would make it. Without missing a step she walked along on the path, wherever she was going. She didn't stop to focus too much on the vapor by her. She walked along the river's edge, with no way she'd be able to fall. She set out, walking along the river. She looking past the river to the other side at a skunk. The skunk ran and jumped on a rock, clearly playfully chasing something that seemed to act like a butterfly, but Celeste didn't see it. She called out to the skunk after observing this. The skunk was surprised at the abrupt interruption, and looked at her. After that interaction she set off away from the river into the plants. She was probably going to hunt a deer today, she thought. She looked around her. After awhile she sniffed the ground for the scent of deer. She'd have to find it for a meal today. She caught the trace of a sole doe. Soon she'd find it. After a bit of tracking it down, she saw it. There didn't seem to be any other deer in sight, and she was alone. And Celeste was hidden in the bush, and able to see the deer through the gaps. The deer, however hadn't seen her yet. She briefly looked around with her ears, but wasn't able to see the wolf. The deer was on the smaller side, and looked more frail. Celeste was a strong, capable wolf, if she did it right, she'd be able to get this deer, like others before. She watched the doe's movements, when suddenly. "Oof!" the wind had suddenly blown in her direction, blown her scent to the deer, and thrown something on her back. Of course, the deer ran away after scenting the wolf. Celeste sat at the terrible poking and looked at what hit her. A flower, oh why! She was quickly after the deer. She took long strides, and the terrain gave her the advantage over the unusually slow doe. Her tail flew behind her.. Oof! There it was again, the flower had hit her tail mid flight. Celeste took a brief look back and saw that same thing again. When she turned back to see what was in front of her, she noticed she had ran past a bush of throny brambles, which wouldn't have been fun to be in. The deer had made it past already. Thankfully, she was gaining on her again. A tree in the way had slowed that deer down. Celeste leaped, and got her. That deer couldn't handle that topple. Celeste had a meal now. Then she saw the flower land right beside her. She looked down at it. "Ohh! Why you again!" But out came out, a beneficial baby insect! "Awwh!" Celeste wasn't as mad now. She had softened it's fall and helpped it live! She watched it prepare itself. She could enjoy her food in peace now. After which, she'd perhaps share with some other wolves further in the day.

Rightwolf raises a few good questions. I'd also want to know if it's more like a prompt length or a short story if possible.

The character can be whatever you want it to be. The wolf could be the character or a side character.

I probably should have put a minimum word leanth, about 30 words min should be good.

Merisa blinked the sleep out of her eyes as she emerged into the glimmering light. Like gold, it shimmered along her fur. She stood outside her cave, at the edge of the solitary cliff along the beach's edge. The waves crashed into the yawning overhang, pebbles falling making a distinct 'plop' noise. The salty air flew through her fur as she inhaled. The life of a lone wolf could be lonely, but it worked out for Merissa. She never fit in with the pack, standing out in the grass or the snow.
Eventually, she found home. Not where her family was, but where her heart was buried in dunes of sand.
