I think it all depends on how fatty the meat is, too. Kinda like brisket; would it be lean vs marbled or just lean meat?

WerewolfxHuman

Plot
Animal I have become

The word of werewolves got out to the humans centuries ago. there was no surprise that the humans would become more and more intrigued by them, seeing their wolf form and everything -- everything but what truly happens underneath the full moon every month.

Muse One, a strong, intellgient, charismatic leader of one of the greatest werewolf packs in history. His father ran the pack before him, and he always would follow in his father's steps to carry on that legacy. He grew quite popular in the werewolf business world, constantly making deals and ensuring the safety of his pack... that is until Muse Two steps into his life.

Muse Two is a rather independent, strong, warrior-like woman. She's on the run from another werewolf pack, but the only problem? She's just human. requesting protection from another werewolf pack would not only create more drama, but rather a target on Muse One's pack from the opposing pack that is after Muse Two.

However, instead of declining Muse Two's request of protection, Muse One allows her to stay within the pack territory for as long as she needs. However, she will be able to see the true life of these werewolves, and more specifically - Muse One.

She will not only see who he is, but also the animal side of a werewolf.

Amlugol means red dragon
Agarvran means noble blood
Nickname/Aliases
Ru(Family nickname)
Age
Twenty two
Gender
Female
Species
Human
Role
Muse B
Sexual Orientation
Heterosexual

"I exist on my own damn terms"

Appearance
Ruina stands at a good 5'8. She is lean and muscular. However it is clear that she is still a female, and her muscle is well defined only at certain times. Her muscles are well defined when her skin is bare. However when she has clothes on, the only muscle that is clear would be those of her arms. She is somewhat tan from spending her days outside and is no longer the milky white she as born as. Her face is rounded at the cheeks, however her jaw is somewhat sharp. Her cheeks are not that defined, however her face does not give off a baby-ish appearance at all.

Her hair is a platinum blonde that is long and wavy. It is often put up in a ponytail or perhaps a bun. Yet, sometimes she will leave it down and on special occasions she will style it and make it look pretty. Her eyes are a striking grey that darken and grow cold when pissed off, or can lighten up when happy. As someone who has seen plenty of fights, she has many scars from wars and practices. She does not flaunt them, however she does not exactly hide them either. She does not have too big of scars anywhere as most of them are small and hard to see. Ruina also has a tattoo, on her left ribs. It is a phoenix with its wings outstretched along the ribs.

Despite Ruina's more manly appearance, it is not hard to tell that she is a female. Though she has that broadness and muscle of a man, she also has the lean, petite, and grace of a female. Her face is mainly smooth, however at certain times, lines will appear on her face and she will seem much older than she is. Already her aura gives off one of a determined and confident person. Her teeth are nearly perfectly straight, and are a pearly white. Despite her more broad build, she is surprisingly quick on her feet.

"Everyone wants to be a beast.... until it's time to do what beasts do"

Personality
Ruina is not one to play damsel in distress. She is a fighter through and through. Fierce and brave she will do just about anything and everything for those she loves and those she considers friends. She is also incredibly intelligent and can be just that hint of cunning. She does not think herself above anyone. Ruina is one to speak her mind. She doesn't often hold back whenever people ask her things. She often likes to say,"If you don't want to know the truth. Don't ask me." Although she may seem like a great person, she is not always that amazing. She definitely has that wild card side.

Ruina loves pranks and she loves to tell jokes. She can be quick with her words which can often get her in trouble. She can be incredibly sarcastic at times and is not afraid to insult somebody if they insult her first. She is definitely not someone you can easily walk over, and she does not show her belly easy.

This women is incredibly stubborn as well, if she sets her mind to something it is almost impossible to get her to change her mind. She can be incredibly harsh and sometimes will say things that she does not mean. Ruina, like most, has a mean side. She does not like it, and does her best to keep it away because when she gets mean she gets mean. She will throw just about any insult at you and many do their best to not cross her. She also enjoys nature and when she is not training, fighting, or in the barracks, she often likes to take walks or even do picnics and just listen to nature sing. She also is a decent fan of children and sometimes enjoys to play with them.

"I no longer give a fuck"

res for bruiser's character B)

Name: Abel Jackson

Age: 23

Sex: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

"Would you stop and just listen?"

Species: Werewolf

Role: Muse A, the werewolf leader

"Oh fuck this is awkward."

Appearance: Abel stands at roughly six foot three, holding himself a rather muscled physique, clear that the man is active and gets in his daily reps. His body is mainly like a reversed triangle, his shoulders being the broadest while his torso is the slimmest part of his body. His body type can easily be described as a mesomorph. He has just enough muscle to be considered 'buff' if you will. His skin tone is a bit on the paler side with a warmer undertone, plenty of freckles littering his face, especially on his shoulders and the bridge of his nose. He has a handful of scars, though none that are major to note.

Abel has a more ovular shaped head with a defined jawline, though it is covered with light blonde facial hair, which he would like to consider a beard. His eyes are a bright blue, darker towards the iris, and he has rather light eyebrows that are full and square-like. They come to a point at the end, and there is a slight slit in his right one due to a scar from when he was a child. He has a bit of a larger nose with a bump in the middle, which is slightly crooked as he has broken it a time or two. His lips are in fact hidden behind his facial hair, but they are rosy pink in color. They are not entirely full nor are they thin, but rather they are just sorta there, plastered on his face for... forever.

Now Abel's main prized posession is his hair. This is the thing that makes Abel, Abel. He has about shoulder-length hair, parted down the middle, which is a dirty blonde with a slight curl to it. The curls are rather tight, making his hair a bit more poofy if that makes sense. He normally keeps it in either a low ponytail or a half-up half-down style. He doesn't do much else with it, but it's obvious he keeps it clean.

Abel's closet mainly consists of a simple t-shirt and jeans. The colors he chooses are simply based on what's available to him - he could care less about his style. He wears heavy work-like boots, which are a dark brown with yellow laces. They have obviously been worn a thousand times, hence the dirty look. If needed, he will wear something more presentable like a suit or a nice dress-up shirt, but he doesn't really do that unless he absolutely needs to. Besides, if he wants to live among humans, he's gonna have to look 'regular'.

Shifted Appearance: Abel's shifted appearance is obviously a wolf. In his wolf form, he's roughly thirty-two inches, slightly larger than your average gray wolf, and has a more lighter tone. His eyes are a brilliant yellow, and during his time shifted, his senses become super heightened, even more so on a full moon. He has a stout build with thick fur, resembling his human form.

"Ugh, you're the worst."

Personality: Abel is your general cool and collected character. He knows how to keep his calm in tough situations and is always the one you look to when you're in need of advice regarding tense situations. He has a tendency to be oddly calm during situations where one would normally be screaming. Abel has this way with his gestures and looks that could easily comfort someone from across the room, and for this, he is rather approachable and is seemingly kind - which he is. Honestly, Abel is a gentle giant. A sweetheart. There isn't much for evil in his bones, and that is clear.

Abel is protective over what is his. His pack, his family, anyone else. He becomes stubborn over them and would clearly take a bullet for them. That said, you don't exactly have the right to mess with his family or his pack. He will come after you, and he will not stop until he either proves his point or well, kills you. But he also doesn't like violence, so he prefers a more mellow and serious conversation. He's the type to confront you during a hard time rather than just assume. He likes to be well thought-out and organized.

Abel is definitely a shoulder to cry on. Whether you just met or you've known each other for years, Abel has this certain way of being a huge comfort to anyone in his life. He is trusting and honest, and won't beat around the bush when asked for advice. However, if you just need someone to listen to you, he will listen upon request. That being said, he isn't going to sugarcoat anything either. He's brutally honest and straight forward, and doesn't like to waste his time. After all, he has a pack to lead.

The one thing about Abel is his stuborness. When he has his eyes set on something, he will get it at whatever cost. In a way, he becomes obsessive. However, it also makes him have a good work-ethic and he is quite the hardworker. He has a unique thought process and getting things done, always thinking outside of the box and ensuring that he gets things done in a thorough way rather than it being rushed. However, he could think rather quickly at a moment's notice.

Abel is a very sarcastic man, always cracking jokes and is very witty with his responses. Some may call it annoying, but he is rather famous for brightening a dark room with just his smile. He likes to bring comfort wherever he goes, and sarcasm seems to be his first option. However, he does know how to read a room and others, making him observant. Overall, he's just trying to do right by others. He's selfless, and prioritizes others above all else.

Strengths: Physical strength, heightened senses, observant, intelligent

Weaknesses: Stubborn, blunt, selfless, silver

S/O: None

Offspring: In the future

Affiliations:
Ruina Agarvran -- The woman he takes into his pack's care after she decides she needs help. At first he's rather wary of her, unsure of having a human in the pack and seeing how werewolves function.

Jasper Gray -- A close friend and his beta. These two are inseperable.

Other: He is the leader of his own pack, following in his father's footsteps.

Run, run, run

She was on the run, always on the run, ever since the incident, she'd been on the run. And now, she was in even more danger. Because what she'd done, well, it'd gotten a whole pack of them after her. She didn't know how long she could out run them and stay hidden. But she was going to try. At the moment she was hiding in a motel, it was old and barely functioning, but it worked. She was actually trying to come up with a plan to survive. The only way to outrun a group of them... Was to find another one willing to protect her.

The only thing was, where was the nearest pack? She reaches for her backpack digging out an old leather journal. On the front the name Ailluin Agarvran was scrawled on. It had been her great grandfather's book before he had died. It had all the records of how to do the job her family had done for years... Well, until it reached her father. Her father had refused to join the family business and had left to go to a new town and marry someone there. He'd managed pretty well until his past came back to haunt him... Or more specifically end him.

She flips through the pages, nothing, it hadn't been updated since her father had taken possession of it. So she had no idea what was still valid. She would just have to strike out on her own. There was another option, but she was not so willing to take it. She could send a letter to her other family, the distant relatives that still continued to family business, just under a different name. She herself had only picked it up to get revenge. Now she just wanted some peace. With a sigh, she finds a paper and a pencil, and using the journal to write on she begins to write.

Dear Krisxalim Family,

It has been many years since we have had any contact. I normally would never write, as we had nothing in common, our families following different footsteps. However, I am in need of your help. My family has been slaughtered, and though I have taken revenge, I am now a target. I may have picked up the trade, but I am not good enough to take on an entire pack. Please, send help.

Sincerely, Ruina Agarvran

Ruina shakes her head as she stares down at the paper, oh would they really listen? With a frustrated sigh she rips the paper. She was on her own. Besides the Krisxalim lived in another country, even if they did send help, who knew how long it would take. She would just have to find another pack. She did not know of any other hunter families, and the ones she did know were too small to help. A loud howl ripples through the night. Shit! They'd found her. She stuffs everything back into her backpack as she yanks it over her shoulder, darting out of the door. The only thing she had to escape on was a car. A black mustang that had been her father's.

She leaps in the car, locking the doors before jamming the key in and twisting. "Damn it. Start!" The engine cries and whines but refuses to start and as Ruina stares into the forest, she starts to see the eyes of her attackers. Then a few seconds later, the first few emerged. In beast form. Large wolves of all colors, well they were actually all shades of grey and black. "Shit!" She hits the dashboard. Yup. She was being chased by wolves. Or more specifically, werewolves. One of the many supernatural creatures out there in the world. Creatures humans thought were mere myths.

And Ruina Agarvran was on the run from a whole pack of them. Finally the car sputters to life and she throws the car into reverse. Doing a quick spin around, she tears out of the parking lot. Speeding down the highway. The only bad thing, werewolves were a whole lot faster than normal wolves and as she glanced out the side windows. It was clear the pack was keeping up.

"From here to here," one of the scouts began, dragging her finger across the map, tracing the border of the territory, "there's been sightings of humans. Like, more than usual. We aren't sure why, either," she added. Abel nodded, only to cross his arms and think for a moment. He shook his head, sucking his teeth and then furrowed his eyebrows, causing the scout to look at him with concern. "If you'd like we can-"

"No, take all of the scouts off of that route. If they see us out there, there will be a curious human who'll come wandering here. We'll check that border at least once a week to make sure there isn't more and more coming in. By then, they should lose interest," Abel replied, looking at the scout. She grabbed the map and nodded.

"Yes sir," she said.

"Thank you," Abel muttered, watching the girl leave the room. He sighed, leaning against the table. How could this be happening? No human had come near their land for decades. It wasn't like there had been a sudden spike in interest in the forest - it simply wouldn't happen. No fights had really been going on. Of course there was the concern about hunters, but honestly, Abel could handle those sons of bitches. Honestly, he never understood hunters, but he guessed that most of them had nothing else to do with their lives and it seemed to be the one thing they were ever good at.

Abel cleared his throat, feeling the presence of his best friend Jasper enter the room. "Hard times?" He questioned. Abel chuckled.

"No, just thinkin'," Abel responded.

"Drink?" Abel asked, raising an eyebrow as he grabbed a glass from the cabinet. The two stood alone in the kitchen, the house quiet. Most of everyone was either already up and moving around or they simply weren't interested in finding their alpha. Which honestly, Abel had been struggling as of late.

"Sure," Abel responded reluctantly, Jasper sliding over a glass of whiskey. He took a sip, downing the liquid. He flinched a little, feeling the burn at the back of his throat.

"I figured you would be able to hold your liqour better now considering all of that partying you used to do," Jasper teased. Abel chuckled, shaking his head as he put the glass down.

"You know, there's more to being alpha than drinking, you know that, right?" He smirked.

"And there's more to growing out your hair and looking like a girl, you know that, right?" Jasper responded quickly, causing Abel to scoff sarcastically.

"You wish you had these locks-" Abel was suddenly cut off by the sound of sudden screaming, and footsteps rushing towards the room. Jasper looked towards him, worry filling his brown eyes, making Abel run out into the hallway.

"Abel, hurry!" A woman yelled. Abel rushed outside, and immediately could sense other werewolves, but they weren't those in his pack.

"Shit," he muttered. Jasper had followed him.

"What do we do?" He asked, looking worriedly at Abel. He looked at his friend.

"We help whoever that is. The entire pack is after them." Abel had already shifted, running in the treeline alongside the highway and keeping an eye on the car and the pack behind it. Luckily this area was rather secluded, otherwise someone would've probably called the cops by now. Once he saw the car get some distance, he had gave a menacing growl, which echoed throughout the area. He jumped out in front of the wolf pack, his own behind him, and giving a warning growl.

At this moment he had realized it was the rival pack in the area. They were in fact breaking the rules by entering his territory without permission first, which was something they had all agreed on, thus making this encounter make more sense than it being like they were trying to save this girl. Which Abel was - but nobody else needed to know that. Even if this girl wasn't a hunter or someone at least aware that werewolves exist, they had already seemed too much - she would be too far gone. But what would cause an entire wolf pack to go after a singular girl on her own?

Abel looked to his left and right, seeing his warriors and scouts lined up, almost creating a barrier that prevented the warring wolf pack to go any further.

"You broke the rules, Alistair!" Abel snarled, holding his ground.

"This doesn't pertain to you, Abel," Alistair growled back, his pack stuck in their tracks.

"If it's on my land, it does. Now go to your own side of the river," Abel demanded, in which Alistair reluctantly agreed. The wolf pack stood down, each dispersing into the forest and returning home. Abel watched them leave. He turned to Jasper.

"Get everyone home. I'll go take care of this human," he said, almost coldly, and Jasper followed orders, him and the rest of the others returning to the camp. Abel shifted back into human form, following the direction of the car, hoping she would've stopped somewhere close up ahead.

There was no way this was going to go well.

Just as it seemed that the pack had reached her car, they suddenly fell back. The car swerves as Ruina's head whips around. What the hell? All of the wolves had just stopped. Her grip on the wheel tightened as she presses the pedal down. Whatever reason that they had stopped, she wasn't about to stick around. The car made it about two miles further before it suddenly started sputtering. "No. No, no!" She groans as the car slows, a loud pop coming from the engine. Great. The car was useless now. Hopefully the pack was gone for now. She'd have to hike it out now.

Of course her car had to break down now. At least it hadn't happened during the chase. That gave her some time to get moving. With any luck the pack would lose her for a while. She glances around the car, making sure there was nothing else that she wanted and then grabbing her backpack she opens the door. Slinging the backpack over her shoulder, she shuts the door behind her. Ruina takes a few steps away, staring at the car. The last thing she had of any of her family. She knew she'd pushed it too far. Ruina lets out a sigh, she should move it. But, it was a desolate road and even if someone came across it and reported it. Her father was dead. So, the car would probably just be towed.

Speaking of her father, she missed him. They may have not gotten along great, especially after she started digging into the old records of their family history. It got even worse when she started showing interest in hunting. But, deep down they still were father and daughter and they loved each other deeply. She also missed the rest of her family. Her mother was always the calm one, keeping the family together and well, she was the monarch of the family. Her dad was the protector, he could get hot headed, but he would always protect the family with his life.

Then there had been Ruina's brothers. A small smile creeps across her face. The twins had been crazy. Revalor and Ayduin were complete opposites. Revalor was just as calm as could be, no doubt taking after Mom. And Ayduin was just about as crazy as could be, taking after Dad. And yet the things they had in common was they loved to play pranks on the family. Ayduin and Ruina use to sit around and see who could spin the worse insult. They both had that quick tongue and sharp mind that allowed them to come up with great comebacks. It was always fun.

Ruina's smile fades as she remembers Tarron and Thaola. Her best friends. Tarron had been her cousin, and after his parents passed, he moved in with them. Tarron and Ruina had gotten along great and were very close. And once Ruina introduced Tarron to Thaola, well they were three peas in a pod. And what made it even better was that Ruina was pretty sure Tarron and Thaola had a crush on each other. She thought it was so sweet and constantly kept trying to get them to ask each other out. It never worked, but Ruina never quit trying. She missed the easy times.

With a sudden start, she shakes herself out of her memories. She was lucky. The pack hadn't come back. Shifting the backpack around a little, Ruina takes a deep breath and starts off. She'd walk till she found a town or better yet someone came along to give her a ride.

Abel could hear the squealing of tires in the distance, causing his sudden interest to pique even more. He couldn't help but grow more curious now - what was a human doing getting chased by an entire pack? Whatever she had done, even with a group, must've been horrible. Obviously enough to piss off Alistair to send the entire pack after her, but Abel couldn't jump to conclusions now. Besides, he could care less about what Abel had to think anyway. The warring alpha was an asshole, and if Abel really wanted to, he could be a bigger one, but that would just be destroying what his father built for him.

Abel walked along the highway, noticing how quiet it was. The scents of the others had slowly disappeared as they each returned home, making Abel feel more comfortable about being out here alone. However, he still worried. Alistair's pack had gone that far into Abel's territory to chase one girl. Who know what else he was capable of when he was chasing other werewolves. It would be a fair fight then, considering a mortal can't do much unless they actually know how in the hell to kill a werewolf. Which, even then, werewolves have grown rather aware of what to do when it comes to hunters. It's either hide or fight... die trying, as Abel's father used to say.

Abel could finally see the car coming into view. It appeared as though the woman had abandoned it reluctantly, and Abel was able to pick up a rather strong and recent scent, meaning she hadn't gone far. He looked around for a moment, glimpsing inside of the vehicle. There was... nothing. Abel could assume that whatever she had was either in the trunk or she carried everything on her person, which was probably the better bet considering now she had time to get away, so why would she leave her gear behind? There would be no reason for being in a rush.

Abel continued up the road, the scent growing stronger. It was only one, and he only picked up a singular one when he was by the car. So that meant it really was only one person who caused Alistair's temper tantrum. He scoffed at the idea. It really didn't take much to make that man mad, and honestly, it was funny. His father was a much better alpha, though probably a bigger asshole. Alistair was a spitting image of the man, and honestly, it kinda scared Abel sometimes. As a kid he was aware that Alistair was a heir to alpha, same as him, and he always intimidated him. But now, it seemed like there wasn't much to be scared of.

He was mainly all bark and no bite, anyway.

Abel scoffed at the thought, soon seeing a figure come into view. He made the subconscious choice to shift again, dipping into the treeline and following her from there. He got a better view of her now. She had platinum blonde hair, roughly five foot seven - eight, maybe. She was attractive, to say the least, but she was human. That was something that Abel had to remember. Would it be willing to bring a woman like her into the pack, or at least back for questioning?

Abel shook his head, the thoughts going to the back of his mind. He quickly made the choice that his best bet was to approach her in human form. He shifted yet again, now in front of her though still in the treeline. He huffed softly to himself before walking out in front of her. "You're not gonna get far - this ain't a very popular road," he said.

"I'm assuming you already know what was chasing you, and you look desperate." Abel commented, shifting his weight. He eyed her for a moment, getting a better view. He watched her closely, ensuring that she wasn't going to be pulling a move on him for any particular reason. So far, he'd been nothing but nice, and he considered it the least he could do.

He sorta hoped that she wouldn't ask for help. Even if he had offered it, who knew what she would do with it. This woman didn't seem stupid at all, and honestly, seemed like a pretty fucking decent fighter. Abel could respect that, and the way he kept his distance would prove that he did in fact respect it. He shifted his weight on his feet. There was no way she was going to ask for him to take her in, protect her, make her useful around a pack of beasts.

That's what he was.

A beast.

Being a werewolf wasn't his choice, nor his father's, or his father before him - it was simply a curse of a bloodline. One that was inescapable. There was no way of leaving such a life. While Abel didn't dream of being human, he dreamed of living a more simpler life, one that didn't involve having to kill those who got too close to his territory or having to go out of his way to say "yeah, I'm not human, and yeah, I can and in fact might kill you one of these days unwillingly". That was the downside of it.

A beast thrived inside of him.

Ruina wasn't sure how long of a walk she would have to do, and she wasn't sure how long she had been walking. But suddenly the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She was being followed. But it wasn't the pack, because if it was, she would be dead already. So who was following her? She forces herself to keep moving. No point of turning to face her follower yet. Though her hand slips inside her jacket where the silver blade was in it's sheath. Her fingers curl around the hilt as she prepares to pull it out. Werewolf or human, getting a silver blade to the gut would hurt.

"You're not gonna get far - this ain't a very popular road."

By habit the blade comes out, holding it in front of her, ready to use it. But what was in front of her, looked human. But she knew how werewolves were. They had their human form and their wolf form. There was no telling what kind of creature she was facing. She didn't move, simply responding,"I'm sure I'll be fine." Her plan had been to just keep on walking. A car would have to come by eventually and if not, well, there had to be a town somewhere.

"I'm assuming you already know what was chasing you, and you look desperate."

A emotionless laugh escapes her lips,"Werewolves. The bastards have been after me for days. Though I do figure that they'll catch me." Her shoulder lifts in a brief shrug,"I can't run forever." She still made no move to attack him nor to put her blade away. She wasn't about to fall so easily into a trap. She didn't know if he was a werewolf or a human. And if he was a werewolf, he could be a part of the pack that had been chasing her. There were a lot of wolves in that pack. She'd found that out the hard way.

However, she would admit to herself, that whatever he was. He was attractive. He stood at a good six foot, maybe even taller. He definitely had some muscle on him with broad shoulders. His eyes were a bright blue. His hair went down to his shoulders and had a slight curl to it. Ruina noted that his hair was a dirty blonde.

She did assume that he was a werewolf, how else would he know about the pack? And just werewolves in general. Perhaps he was a part of that pack, and perhaps he was the reason the pack had fled. Or one of the reasons. Did she want to find out the hard way? "So what are you? Are you one of them?" A werewolf. A beast. A creature of the night. She just hoped that he wasn't part of the pack. She hoped he was a part of a different pack, perhaps she could get help from him. She desperately needed someone to protect her.

Ruina couldn't survive by herself, not forever. And she wasn't ready to die. She wanted to live a decent life. Maybe fall in love, get married, and just maybe have kids. She'd seen her parents, they had been crazy in love and she kinda wanted to meet someone to love like her parents had loved each other. She'd never even had a boyfriend before. But she would never achieve that if she was killed by werewolves. It was ironic that the very creatures that her family had hunted for years were the creatures that had murdered her family and was after her now.

Seeing her reaction by instinctively taking out her blades, Abel could tell that the woman knew what she was doing. She was probably capable of a lot more than she led on, and for that, Abel could admire her. His gaze showed something of that, anyway, but he was probably too far away for her to even get a glimpse of that. While he wasn't scared of her considering he could easily take her on, she seemed skilled enough and damn well could think of something to harm him. Plus she had blades - silver - which harmed any werewolf, no matter how old. It was one of their main weaknesses.

"If you'll be so fine then why haven't you turned around and left yet?" Abel asked, cocking a brow. While this was mainly him engaging in this woman, Abel felt as though that if she really, and really would be fine on her own, she simply would've left him in the dust by now or would've completely avoided him. Which eventually Abel would take the hint and go back to the pack, simply telling them that whoever this human was was nowhere to be found. A lie? Yes, but he didn't need to worry his pack. That's probably the worst thing he could do.

Hearing the woman laugh - an emotionless, careless one at that - made a small smirk plaster on Abel's face. "Werewolves are slick bastards, indeed," he said sarcastically. Of course he would know... He is one, after all. But honestly, not all werewolves are bad... well, unless you're Alistair, or his father, or a pissed off werewolf - which, how pissed off did this girl get these wolves? Abel would question her about that later. "They're probably plotting your death right now as we speak. Be happy I could call them off for you," Abel said, nonchalantly asking for some sort of thanks. That validation was rare.

Let alone from humans.

"Running gets your nowhere, woman - let's be honest. You know how a villain says that 'you can run, but you can't hide?' - yeah, that's true," Abel stated. Though he was speaking some form of sarcasm, it was true. What did running solve apart from making your problems just last longer? Granted Abel was guilty of it just as anyone else would be, but that didn't mean that he had changed. In fact, he did. When he was a boy, running was all he did. From his problems, responsibilities, from fights... It was horrible. But now he's probably in the greatest spot he could be. Well, maybe. If you wanted to consider it that.

When asking what he was, Abel had the urge to lie. But he didn't. She already knew what was after her, how to weaken them, and honestly, how was a single hunter going to take on an alpha? Not possible. Well, possible, just more possible for werewolf to actually win. He sighed softly, mainly because he was debating on whether or not to tell the truth. Eh, what's the worse that could happen?

"I am one of them, but not a part of that pack, no," he responded. "I'm an alpha of my own, actually," Abel then added. He shifted his weight slightly. "It isn't often we get contact with humans out here, let alone see one getting chased by an entire pack," Abel spoke softly, his voice rather low now. He looked around for a moment, then his eyes landed back on the woman.

"My name's Abel Jackson. Figure it's the least I could do from practically saving you from your demise." Abel didn't think he was going to end up introducing himself, but he did it anyway. Gaining trust seemed to be his first move in most cases, and this one didn't seem to be any different.

"If you'll be so fine then why haven't you turned around and left yet?"

That was a great question. What the hell was she still doing here. Holding out her blade like he was a threat. Was he truly a threat? He didn't seem to be one. At least towards her. Surely he had his own strengths, but he didn't seem to want to hurt her at all. She was intrigued though. If this man was what she thought he was and not an enemy, then perhaps she could get her wish... Was he a werewolf? And was he part of another pack? Would she finally get her protection she had been looking for since that fateful night?

"Werewolves are slick bastards, indeed."

The sarcasm in his voice made Ruina lift an eyebrow, what was with the sarcasm. She wasn't kidding. "They're probably plotting your death right now as we speak. Be happy I could call them off for you." Ruina scoffs,"They've been plotting my death for years." She half glares at the man,"Let me guess. You want a thank you." She sighs, shaking her head,"Thanks." She figured, ah why the hell not. He had saved her life, assumingly, by calling off the pack. She hadn't actually seen him do it. But she figured he was telling the truth.

"Running gets your nowhere, woman - let's be honest. You know how a villain says that 'you can run, but you can't hide?' - yeah, that's true." Ruina resists the urge to scoff,"Yeah. Trust me." She'd been on the run for a while and it hadn't done shit for her. She was screwed and she knew it. Sooner or later they'd catch up, and everyday they'd been getting closer and closer. She was a mere human. The only weapon she had was the knowledge of the hunt and the ability to wield a silver blade. But, she was only one human against a wolf pack. Who knew how many were in the pack.

She knew her stakes were low, but that had been something she'd considered when she first set out for revenge. And it was made well aware as she had fled from completing her revenge. It was howled and snarled and growled after her as the pack chased her until she finally managed to lose them.

"I am one of them, but not a part of that pack, no." Ruina relaxes at that, sighing in relief. "I'm an alpha of my own, actually." Ruina nods as she straightens up, her defense stance falling away. "It isn't often we get contact with humans out here, let alone see one getting chased by an entire pack." Ruina laughs, yet another humorless one. "Oh, let's just say I really pissed them off. And they want me deader than a door nail."

"My name's Abel Jackson. Figure it's the least I could do from practically saving you from your demise."

Ruina moves her jacket out of the way to sheath her blade back. "I'm Ruina. Ruina Agarvran. And I suppose, once again, thank you." For saving her life? Post poning her death? Whatever. "Say... Do you think you could..." She hesitates, did she dare ask? Would this piss him off? "Would you shelter me from those wolves?" She didn't know if Abel's pack and the one chasing her were allies, but she figured since she was dead or surrounded by wolves, they weren't.
