Cal/Collie

Leroy- Lerory is... Woooh boy, he is fun. Yeah, helluva guy and a real character. Just lovable. That is sarcasm by the way. As much as he likes him, he just seems to hate him for everything. Cal could go on and on about why he loved to annoy the fuck out of this guy. Collie is just praying that eventually he can get the man to crack a smile. This is just one of the many people Cal is 90% convinced Leroy either likes him a lot or would cut out Cal’s guts and make him choke on them.

Nabih- Optimism and so determined. Collie couldn't get enough of the guy! He was interesting and he never failed to keep Collie's optimism up. And he was smart too! Sure, they butt heads sometimes because of both of the stubbornness, but he still likes Nabih! Nabih is definitely someone Cal tries to spend his time with.

‘TJ’- Collie loves it when TJ gets passionate. Sure, he is generally antisocial and probably hates Cal like every other person, but he genuinely likes hearing TJ's opinions. Cal doesn’t like to openly talk about his crimes, but if TJ willingly admits to stealing abused dogs, Collie will admit stealing for the homeless. He tries his best to make him happy, but he just hasn't found out what TJ's humor is yet.

‘Evie’- Even though Evie’s rudeness is meant to be… well… rude, Collie can’t help but snicker at her words thinking she is always joking, always enjoying whatever she was saying. He just either tries to tease or compliment her. Plus, Collie loves video and card games so it is always a plus to try and play those with her.

‘Aries’- Aries is the best. Collie loves the guy. Well, he doesn’t love love him. That would be gay. Collie isn’t gay. Haha. Yeah…, right. Collie is totally not gay… Anyways! Aries is awesome. Aries is loyal as fuck and super chill and laidback. Cal feels like he can just be himself with him. Aries is one of the few people Collie is okay with having a breakdown in front of. Of course, he’ll try to laugh it off if Aries ever brings it up after that moment. He doesn’t want Aries to worry too much about him.

Axel- So. Damn. Nice! Cal trusts this man with his life and will quite literally die protecting him. Not that he has much to live for to begin with, but still! Cal likes sprinting and running just like Axel and Axel always seems to genuinely like the stray compliments Collie throws around. If Axel is ever in any trouble, even if it is with the other kids, Collie will instantly back him up. Collie even trusts Axel enough to be around him when he is upset.

Ethan- Ethan is just… amazing. He’s a fucking sass queen without even opening his mouth. That is just a power level beyond whatever Collie could ever hope to accomplish. In his eyes, Ethan is pretty cool. He has no idea how much Ethan likes or dislikes him, but he just always tries to give stupid jokes and others small trinkets to make him smile. Plus, Ethan is just super nice in general.

The two have literally never said, signed, or written a word between them. That's how good the connection is. It's some horrible amalgamation of platonic soulmate, friendship, and brotherhood, which I will henceforth call a soulship. They're literally telepathically talking to each other with eye contact. Everyone who actually notices it is mildly terrified.

Nabih’s Affiliations

Ariethous;

This was someone that Nabih noticed before actually meeting. And, to say the least, the glare he was receiving from the man was enough to keep Nabih from actually talking to him. Though, it didn’t keep him from keeping tags on the man. And from there, a few suspicions formed though he couldn’t actually talk to him. Once Ariethous was brought into the friend group though, Nabih was able to talk to him a bit and eventually they reached a neutral area where the Aries no longer hated him. So it was a win in Nabih’s book. In fact, Nabih respects him for the intelligence the man has. And though his suspicions have grown, he still can’t actually ask or talk about them to him, as the man always finds a way out of any serious/emotional conversations/topics without Nabih even realizing it until after he’s walking away. So no progress there.

Axel;

This is someone that Nabih respects and gets along with rather well, they both are relatively quiet and calm, and it’s obvious to him that Axel’s intelligent. When first meeting Axel, he pitied the boy for his poor health, while also feeling slightly protective over him. Later on though, through interacting and talking to Axel, he found that the boy isn’t helpless due to his health, which changed the pity and protectiveness to sympathy and care.

Calvin;

Nabih, when meeting Calvin, was immediately reminded of the tune from Animaniacs. Only instead of the normal ‘Animaniacs, we’re brainy to the max’ thing, Nabih’s brain decided to do ‘Loquacious, dude’s volume’s to the max’. So, yeah. Nabih knows they’re loud. After that initial surprise of volume though, Nabih quickly got used to them and Cal became someone that decided to spend time with him. So, Nabih can’t actually complain all that much about this person. He also has a few little suspicions concerning Cal, though he would never say them out loud in fear of making his friend uncomfortable.

Ethan;

The situation of how Ethan was brought into the friend group was something that did end up affecting how Nabih saw the mute. He pitied held sympathy for him, much like how a mother would for a toddler that had just fallen scraped their knee on the ground, or at least much like how Nabih has been told mothers react to things like that. He isn’t sure. Either way though, just like with Axel- After getting used to the mutism and situation, he was willing to put away the protectiveness and pity, switching it out for care and sympathy. He’s also most definitely noticed how Ethan tends to come to him for advice more than he goes to any of the others; which he rather appreciates, as it tells him that he’s not messing up at being a friend or anything of the sort.

Eva;

Ah, the woman that helped start it all. Nabih, when first having met her, didn’t know what to think. She seemed lazy, but she also seemed like the sort of lazy person that had potential to be so much more if only she put effort in. Plus, she seemed shy and antisocial. He saw when the bullying started to happen and that was sort of when he just decided that she needed a friend. So, he took it upon himself to make sure she had one. And then it all just kind of grew from there, so in many ways- He has her to thank for all the other friends he now has. So he respects her, and does see her as a friend.

Leroy;

Nabih has never understood why Leroy acts as though he hates him- The only logical conclusion he can come to is that Leroy is just competitive and insecure about losing in any kind of way, much like himself. So, Nabih, as any responsible and respectable person would; loses on purpose whenever it comes to Leroy as a way to try and get the man to stop all the dramatic insecurity. There isn’t any true reason for it that Nabih can see. Despite this, Nabih still respects the Leroy, if you couldn’t tell by the fact that he’s willing to lose on purpose for their ego.

Tyler;

This is someone that Nabih gets along great with- From the moment they met, they hit it off easily. Both are fairly introverted and despite TJ’s wildness, it’s completely obvious to Nabih that he’s intelligent. So, yeah- Nabih respects him and enjoys his company. Tyler’s also just about the only person Nabih would really think about getting advice from if he needed it.

Anywho! Here's Gwyar's affiliations, whoever is first able to tell the difference between his and Nabih's will either get some food or some mush, I'll let whoever it is decide >:3

Gwyar’s Affiliations

Axel;

This is someone that Gwyar introduced himself as Ariethous to, and has never heard his actual first name said around. So Axel probably has no idea that his name is Gwyar, and he plans on keeping that, that way.

Onto how Gwyar actually sees Axel though. When first meeting the sickly boy, Gwyar had a sense of disdain yet protectiveness. He kept the boy just as far as everyone else though. After the two started hanging out more as he was taken in by the same friend group, the disdain left.

All in all, this is someone that Gwyar can stand and make tons of jokes around- Except for when the poor boy seems bent on trying to get to know him. Then Gwyar usually has to dodge questions like the pro he is at that game.

Calvin;

Yet again, he was introduced as Ariethous, so that’s most likely what Calvin thinks his first name is. Cal has started to call him Aries, no problem there though. At least he didn’t start calling him Gwyar. He plans on keeping this, this way.

Now for the actual affiliation. When first meeting Cal, he was both intimidated and amused. That had been a strange combination of feelings. On one hand, he could’ve totally hit off with Cal immediately. On the other hand, Cal was loud and for his inner personality- Gwyar wasn’t sure if he could handle that all the time. But after Gwyar was taken into the group, he basically had no choice but to interact with him. Which, though Gwyar would never admit this, was probably one of his favorite things about actually getting brought into the group. Calvin was easy to get along with, easy to joke around with, and Cal had even seemed to trust him enough to allow a few mental breaks. Of course, Gwyar didn’t really bring those up after; he didn’t want to end up in emotional territory. Which is another thing; the two both seem fine to just let all emotional talks vanish into thin air and not happen, which is great for Gwyar.

All in all, Cal is definitely someone that Gwyar had to try a little harder to keep at a distance, and while he’s still succeeding; the distance between them is still much smaller than he would like.

Ethan;

Yet another person he introduced himself as Ariethous to, and has never heard his actual first name. So Ethan probably doesn’t realize that, that isn’t his actual name either. Gwyar will also probably never tell him either.

Onto the actual affiliation. Ethan is someone that when the two first met, Gwyar found him hard to understand and even a bit too similar to him for his liking, although this would never be admitted aloud. He made sure to keep Ethan at a distance just like he does everyone else. After they were both taken into the friend group, Gwyar eventually learned to read Ethan’s expressions and eyes enough to know when he needed to prepare any excuses or jokes to get out of serious topics, or emotional situations that could only end with one of them angry and leaving.(In his mind.)

All in all, this is someone that Gwyar (though he would never admit this) enjoys being around. Of course, he still keeps him a distance away, just like he does everyone else.

Eva;

Just like with everyone else, he introduced himself as Ariethous and she hasn’t heard his actual first name. He doesn’t plan on telling her this anytime soon either.

Now for the actual affiliation. When Gwyar first met Eva, he could easily see just how unapproachable she seemed, which he was almost thankful for; as he didn’t want to get close to anyone anyways. So that worked out fairly well, he avoided her without actually actively trying to do so. After he’d been brought into the group though, he ended up interacting with her a bit, though still not much. Her sarcasm didn’t really bother him that much, as that helped to make her into someone he could easily exchange jokes with. Though her harshness can get to him at times, he knows she doesn’t really mean most of the harsh things she says… Or at least he hopes she doesn’t. The way that she indirectly apologizes tends to match his own indirect way of apologizing; so in many ways he can sort of understand how she is. He also appreciates her loyalty and how she doesn’t particularly bring up emotional or serious topics that he has to dodge.

All in all, Evie is someone that Gwyar doesn’t have a set opinion on. She’s too harsh with her words and far too unapproachable for Gwyar to get that close to her, but he also respects and gets along well with her whenever they do talk.

Leroy;

Once again, Leroy knows him as Ariethous and has never heard his actual first name. He plans on making sure this stays the same.

Onto the actual affiliation. Gwyar, when first meeting Leroy had a sense of disdain and amusement. Leroy’s loud nature was both a welcome thing and an unwelcome thing. That was something that fit with his own confident, joking outward personality. So Gwyar could get behind that. Though, at the same time, Leroy’s competitive nature made Gwyar hesitant to actually roll with that idea. He kept Leroy at a distance, just like everyone else. After he was brought into the friend group though, Gwyar basically had to roll with the idea. So whenever the two actually hang out now, though that’s still rare, they usually end up making jokes or competing with each other about random things. And anytime an emotional conversation somehow comes up, Gwyar pretends not to notice the fact that both of them seem to try and get out as fast as possible. If anything, Gwyar sends him a look that says he knows and doesn’t mind. He doesn’t show that he understands though.

All in all, Leroy’s pretty neutral with Gwyar. He can’t tell if they have a silent understanding of each other about emotional situations or not, but he’s glad that he isn’t the only one that doesn’t want to avoid them.

Nabih;

Once again, Ariethous is how Nabih knows him. He plans on making sure that, that stays that way.

Now for the actual affiliation. Nabih is someone that when Gwyar first met him, he hated the dude’s guts. The man seemed like someone that was the opposite of what Gwyar would even think of associating with. Authority and rule-abiding, a full on ‘Lawful Lawful’, if you will. That’s how Gwyar saw him. And he definitely didn’t like that. So Gwyar went to even further lengths to stay distanced from the man. Though, after they were both in the friend group and the two talked a bit(though still not much), Gwyar figured out he wasn’t actually that bad. And the hate was instead replaced with respect for the most part.

All in all, this is someone that Gwyar respects but wouldn’t necessarily go to in times of need or distress, he just trusts Nabih enough to not get the group killed immediately.

Tyler;

Once again- Ariethous is Gwyar’s name to this man. The dude has no clue that Gwyar is his actual name.

Now for the true affiliation. When Gwyar first met him, Gwyar was actually fairly neutral about him. Was pretty obvious that the dude was a bit on the wild, introverted side. Which Gwyar could get behind if he wanted to. The only thing that really stopped Gwyar from talking to him all that much was the fact that Gwyar did not want to get close to anyone, so he kept the man at a distance. After he was brought into the friend group, they talked a bit though not as much as some of the others in the group. Tyler would hang out with him if he needed a distraction or wanted to listen to his philosophy, but emotional discussions were never really a risk because the two didn’t really talk about that kind of stuff, he assumed that was because they didn’t know each other well enough for that. Though whenever that kind of thing was brought up, you could bet on the fact that Gwyar found a way out of that as quickly as possible while not seeming terrible.

All in all, TJ is pretty cool by his standards. Not someone Gwyar would actively search out, but then again, Gwyar doesn’t really actively search out anyone. Moreover, he can definitely get behind stealing abused animals as a way to help.
