By day, The War Dogs seem like any domestic canines. Working, hunting, companion, and even racing dogs. Normal dogs leading normal lives, but when the moon rises The War Dogs reveal their true colors.

Every night, house dogs make their way to a large, shadowy forest. They gather together to hunt large prey, explore the depths of the wilderness, and even fight wild wolves. They may accept new members into their ranks, but every dog daring to become a War Dog must know the risks, and have the skills necessary.

The War Dogs have their reasons for coming together every night. They follow the path set by the past War Dogs. The War Dogs organization has existed for decades, and they plot to uphold the peace and prosperity of both the forest and the households that the dogs live in.

The main meeting place of the dogs is a dark, mostly uninhabited forest, but the coalition travels other areas during their nightly meetings. They often visit a canyon, valley, and mountain.

Character rules

Your dog may be of any breed or a mixed breed, but they may not be high content wolfdogs or coydogs.

Your dog can be transgender but their owner should refer to them by their birth sex, as a human would have no idea of their dog's gender identity.

Your dog must have a name their owner calls them, and they can have a name that other dogs call them. For example, a dog could be named Sparky by his owner and go by Bone when being referred to by other dogs.

Your dog can live far away from The War Dogs meeting place, but they must be able to get there and get back before sunrise so their owner doesn't notice them leaving, or make a point to state that their owner doesn't mind them wandering.

Your dog must have realistic colors, but a bit of creative liberty is allowed when it comes to markings and eye colors, just don't make it unbelievable.

Make sure that your dog isn't overpowered, though a bit of special characteristics are welcome, these are The War Dogs after all. Just no magic or anything crazy.

Nighttime is considered to start at 9:30PM and end at 5:30AM.

I will control the time and weather, though of course I will listen to and take suggestions for all plot elements in the discussion thread.

Romance and drama plots are allowed and encouraged, just be sure you ask the other person before starting a relation between two characters.

You may have multiple characters and add more in later in the rp, just be sure you use them all.

I may add things to the rules and rp itself any time before the rp starts.

Appearance: Fawn is a small, light orange roan spaniel. His fur is primarily white, but covered in spots of a "strawberry blonde" color. His ears, paws, and parts of his face are this same color. Fawn's nose is dark pink, and his eyes are a warm brown. He is 14 inches tall and weighs 26 pounds. Fawn wears a rhinestone collar given to him by his owner. Fawn's owner grooms his fur very often, so it is usually clean and soft.

Personality: Fawn is a quiet, driven individual. He is not shy, but dislikes talking to other dogs. He is insecure, mostly about being a small breed. He constantly feels as though the other dogs are looking down on him, even if that may not be the case. Fawn acts mostly of his own accord, and will really only collaborate with others if he feels it will be beneficial. He is observant and helpful, but distant to most. Fawn is more open and caring towards those he trusts, which includes his owner. He gets along well with his owner during the day, but worries deeply that if his identity as a War Dog is revealed he will lose the bond with his owner.

Backstory: Fawn is a rescue dog, brought to a shelter as a puppy after his mother, a stray, was found with her litter on the side of the road. Fawn was adopted by John Taylor shortly after coming to the shelter, so he spent most of his life with his current owner.
His life with The War Dogs started one day when he was half a year old and wandered away from his house. The War Dogs saw potential in him and brought him to the forest to aquaint him with the ways of The War Dogs. Fawn decided to join, and after a few trials, was accepted in.

Strengths: Very motivated, strategic, lives close to the forest.

Weaknesses: Small size, uncooperative, relatively slow.

Skills: Planning and organizing attacks, tracking prey and enemies, remaining focused on the task at hand.

Fears: Being looked down upon, his relationship with his owner being ruined.

Likes: Human food, being left alone, outside scenery.

Dislikes: Dogs much larger than him, cars, getting his fur dirty.
