Anyone else notice the jumpiness when burying apples in hole? the screen jumps up to the top then scrolls itself rapidly back down. Makes me dizzy.n- I'm guessing that isn't intentional?

I haven't tried on phone yet. n I'm on a regular PC right now. The layout looks fine but everything is more squashed since the width is less than before. I can see where that would be helpful on a phone screen. On PC I wish it could be a bit wider so I wouldn't have to scroll as much. nI'm sure it's a difficult balancing act between different device layouts though.

I think you're onto something, perhaps it has to do with our device's adaptability to either a mobile or laptop configuration

I like the idea of the update. Just the switching to mobile layout if I have the WP tab on half of my screen is difficult due to the tabs overflowing the top bar and the chat not being visible.
Overall, I think after the tweaks have been made I think it will be beneficial to new players that use mobile. We're just very used to this layout. I hate change too </3

 Enigma
10:02:15
Thank you Eve for your hard work! Yeah on my laptop it shows a change in format on the pages that are supposed to be formatted in mobile. As for the chat, I would suggest that if it's taking up the whole screen it should make the greatest use of the screen instead of a large white border. So like a magnified version of the chat itself. Or maybe the white area could be customizable to palettes
 Forest Dwelling
10:02:13 I am on Wolflocke ok
@EnigmannIf you're using a chromebook (ChromeOS) then maybe that's why? My laptop is a ChromeOS and there are a lot of things that show differently compared to a regular laptop when on websites or apps

Introduction

The world is not what it used to be.

The year is 2154. Humans have been running a muck for the past century, creating worse and worse conditions for themselves. At first it was the sudden change in government, creating a multitude of problems and causing many to disagree with the new rules. This eventually led to riots and plenty of arrests. Many still believe that their system is more broken than before, though not many have voiced their opinion in years for the fear of ending up like those before them.

There isn't much for states anymore either. The United States has become nothing more than a vast land with no borders, plenty of destroyed cities along the way, though some developed towns and large utopia-like cities that house the powerful human beings. Those who can do no wrong. Those who are respected... more or less. They are protected from the pawns of the lower class, those who beg to be heard or seen.

Simply, everything is corrupt.

But because of the change in the laws and government, and how many people believed that fighting with violence was a good answer, the government has thrown together a program. This program was originally made for officers and soldiers to go through elite training that would put them on top of anyone else, enforcing the harshest rules and using the most cold punishments. However, the first group to go through was a fail. So, instead, the government turned to canines.

Ranging from stray dogs to wolves, they had collected many canines and put them into this program. The program included not only training, but sometimes even modifying some of them. This would range from replacing certain things with machine, or enhancing a certain sense through genetic mutation that the scientists hired can implement into these canines. They are more and more powerful through each group that the government trains, and thus created one of the most feared programs that the country has ever seen.

The Ghost Program.

These canines are trained by the most efficient trainers that the government could provide, though it seems that the dogs can simply become more and more intelligent on their own. And eventually, this would lead to something that no human would ever see coming.

"It's a dog eat dog world, kid."

Plot

Only a few years after the Ghost Program has been created, some dogs have failed to get through their tests and become a successful enforcer. However, some succeed and then see what is really happening - these canines are protecting a corrupt system, and although it doesn't have anything to do with the canines and only pertains to the people, the dogs decide that even their freedom is important.

Silently within the facility, dogs have come together to hopefully stop the program and free the other canines in training and those who have passed. However, some dogs themselves are too corrupt, and others simply don't see the big issue. So there's only one question that remains;

Do you want to be what they once were, or would you rather stand for something that only breaks down others?

Roles Explained

Not everyone here is a part of the rebellion. That said, there is no hierarchy to the rebellion. Perhaps later down the line in the RP (if it makes it that far) there will become more solid ranks, but for now, it's quite scattered. Also, those who aren't in the rebellion are not aware that there is one. There have been some rumors, but nothing is confirmed.

Chief

The Chief is the most respected, dominant, and the only canine that has been in the program the longest. Their word is law -- sometimes even above what the government says -- and they should be listened to at all times. They have the ultimate power over everyone else and creates training opportunities for apprentices, dictates who does what during the day, and has the job of leading the team. Their main goal is to make everyone a Chief, so to say, creating an example. However, this rank can't be challenged for and is only obtained through promotion and hard-work.

Second-in-command

Second-in-command is the Chief's right hand. They are the second most respected and dominant, though obtaining this role is simply through assignment of the Chief. Normally, they are quite close with said rank, and are possibly lovers or have some sort of kin relation, though this isn't always the case. They help enforce the rules and keep everyone in line. In the Chief's absence, their word goes just as much as the Chief's would. They help the Chief with any sort of decision making as well if need-be. This rank can't be challenged for.

Lieutenant

The Lieutenant is basically the Second's assistant. They are the Chief's and Second's errand boy/lady, per se. They will also help enforce the rules, and are the ones to mainly lead patrols and anything of the like. Their job is to mainly enforce rules, however, considering the Second and the Chief are always busy. In a way, they're their eyes when they're not around. They are quite observant of the group's activities. If they feel that someone should be doing something, they can assign smaller tasks. This rank can't be challenged for.

Executioner

Every good leader needs a good Executioner. Although not high in the ranks, the Executioner is a rather feared individual. Not only do they help to enforce the rules, but they also make examples out of the others when the rules aren't followed. They are not one to be messed with. They're best at things like hunting and tracking, normally assisting any patrols if needed. They sometimes act as a guard towards the upper ranks.

Commander

The Commander is a canine who is very good at what they do. They are known for have expertise in hunting, training, tracking, and anything else of the like and are most likely the canines who will be mostly involved in those things. They also help out with the trainees and apprentices, giving them orders where they see fit.

Trainees

The Trainees are the canines that train the Apprentices as much as possible. They are knowledgeable in just about anything and are great teachers. They do make the bulk of the group, and although a lower rank, they are also very important considering they basically help create the future of the group. There is a chance that a Trainee may be promoted, though this is highly unlikely depending on the amount of apprentices there are.

Apprentices

Finally, the Apprentices. This is the youth of the group, and are made up of youngsters in training. They are trained by of course the Trainees, but also just about anyone else who is willing to help them. Their training can be as brutal or as pleasant as they want it to be. They are the future of the group, and their ranks aren't normally determined until they are about three to four years old.

Character Rules

1. Obviously, all of SixBear/Eve's rules apply and trump all.

2. Your characters will be 2-9 years of age.

3. Please be sure to keep all characters realistic. I don't want to see a very powerful canine with no weaknesses, or a canine with rainbow stripes.

4. Your character must have three strengths and three weaknesses - no exceptions.

5. No OP characters.

6. You're allowed only two characters.

7. Please keep genders as even as possible.

8. While romance is not a big deal in this RP, it is fine to have mini sub-plots for. That being said, do not make romance the plot of the RP - that just isn't what it is. LGBTQ+ is allowed for the sake of having more diverse characters and because i'ts fun :) Still be sure to keep things realistic as possible though!

9. Your character sheet must have at least 200 words in personality and appearance each. This simply proves your literacy. I will be checking, and no, I won't be making exceptions.

10. No characters will be of romantic interests to one another if they are your own two characters.

11. Don't have your character constantly running off, causing trouble - it's annoying, and honestly, it's frusturating to most players.

12. Your characters have some sort of bond, albeit new friends or best friends - but they all know each other somehow. Nobody is complete strangers.

13. I am going to be slightly picky when it comes to characters. I do not want to see the same copy-and-paste character. I want diversity. So please be creative!

"Running doesn't matter. We'll simply hunt you down if we have to."

RP Rules

1. Again, Eve's rules trump all.

2. Type at least 300 words per post with proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. I understand writer's block, but 300 should be enough to keep everything going.

3. Have permission to harm/kill someone else's character.

4. Be sure to include everyone! This is not a 1x1.

5. If you have a question, please either PM me or ask in the discussion to prevent clogging this thread.

6. Swearing is fine as long as it isn't over-used.

7. Obviously, skip over explicit scenes if there ever is one.

8. Lastly, post at least once a week! That's all I ask. If you're going to be inactive or want to drop out, please do not just drop the RP.

9. Have fun!

In a world run by power-hungry humans, they have turned to modified canines to enforce their rules. Where do your loyalties stand?

Character Sheet

Everything here is required, though you may add/rearrange it however you would like.

**Modifications can range from mechanical parts being added to your character, or some sort of DNA change to enhance a certain sense. You can have no more than three mutations. When it comes to mechanical parts, there can not be more than fifty percent of the canine changed. This is to prevent characters from becoming OP.

**Species is anything ranging from dogs, to wolves, to coyotes, etc. If you are unsure, please PM me or ask in the discussion! I will not be allowing crosses (i.e wolfdog) simply because it becomes overdone very quickly.

NOTE:
If you couldn't tell, this RP is still in fact a WIP. However, I am opening it to prevent it from getting lost in the forums + that way I can get it going. Please bare with me. In the meantime, you may ask me things in the discussion or via PMs if you are unsure about something to prevent clogging up this thread.

Banks

"Don't you run from the truth you decide..."

Name: Banks

Alias: Normally adressed as Chief. Known as The Raven by the humans.

Banks recieved the nickanme "The Raven" because of his way of blending into any situation and being rather good at "swooping in" when needed. This is also a result from the amount of killing he has done, and it has made a staple among other canines as well and other groups.

Age: 7

Sex: Male

Species: Dog

Breed: Husky

Rank: Chief

Desired Rank: Content

Rebel?: Undecided, thought probably not. There is a chance that this could change.

Modifications: Banks' modifications include the following;

Enhanced Hearing & Smell -- After being recruited into the Ghost Program, their first experiment on Banks was to enhance something about him. They would go on to modify is DNA, enhancing his hearing and smell. That being said, Banks can hear and smell roughly five times better than the average dog, making him a great candidate when it comes to things like tracking.

Appearance: Banks is built as though he was made just for the role of being a leader. With a rather stout build and a fluffy frame, Banks possesses muscle that ripples from underneath of his skin. His fur is fluffy and soft, slightly matted at the ends, and he walks as though he owns the place (which honestly, he does). His walking gait is a bit more on the longer side of things, his legs spreading out more with each stride. He has little to no interest in showing any sort of weakness, so you will probably always be seeing Banks in some sort of a dominant stance. For example, he will walk with his head low and ears forward, making his ranking obvious. Banks appears to look rather tired almost at all times, his eyes speaking more words than his mouth ever could.

Banks' fur coat is a basic white with a layered grey on top. This white is a bit more off-white considering that these dogs do not receive the best of treatment. About halfway down his body starts a gray color that goes to his tail, which is a bit more thin and curls slightly. On the top of his tail is a light brown color that quickly fades back into the white. But back to the gray, it is layered and underneath is some of that same white that peaks through in some spots. It follows slightly down his haunches, then fading away. There is a dark gray that can be found on his ears and slightly on his face, a bit more speckled and at random. His nose his dark. Banks' eyes are a bright blue, rather striking.

Banks stands at roughly 24 inches and weighs just under sixty pounds. Most of his weight is made from muscle due to the constant training that him and the team do, and just from general exercise. Banks does indeed have a few scars scattered throughout his body, though there isn't anything very notable considering most a buried beneath his fur. However, he has two scars across the top of his muzzle and one slightly angled above his left eye. Both were from training older dogs within the program.

Decline the collar and imagine him to be a tad more rugged looking.
©flindestock on dA - Stock Image

Personality:
Quiet || Protective || Leader

Despite being on top, Banks is quiet. He doesn't really speak much unless he needs to. That being said, he isn't entirely approachable either. He sticks to himself and makes it clear that no, he doesn't need any help and he doesn't plan on asking unless it is necessary for him to do such a thing. Banks does not have the tendency to express himself, making him seem emotionless, which he has mastered. He's the sort of dog to say that he doesn't care what happens to him, as long as the others are happy. For that, he is selfless, but in the end, his quietness could easily get him killed in the long run. Banks does know how to use his voice however. He has been known to be rather demanding when it comes to giving orders, but he's never failed to prevent others from understanding what he needs to get done.

It is obvious where Banks's loyalties lie, and that is within his group. His family. While he does not always show his appreciation for each individual, Banks has been know to become quite protective of those he takes a liking to, which is mostly everyone. Outsiders or newcomers make him a lot more wary and aware and alert, causing him to always be on his toes. This makes him rather observant as well, calculating what he could do within a moment's notice if he feels the slighest bit of tension between him and another canine. Banks is known to try his best and defuse any trouble or drama within the group, especially when it comes to someone he likes.

Obviously, Banks is a leader. To be fair, he is on top, but there is more to him than just that. Banks has always known how to take initiative when others won't, and he is always at least a step ahead of his enemy. He has little to no time playing around and beating around the bush. He makes his points obvious and is very forward with others. Banks has little to no interest in focusing on other things, either. He is determined to take himself and his group to the top. This male has always been some sort of a hard-worker, be it in the smallest of things or in life-changing choices. His dreams and goals are what he strives for.

Content || Experienced || Honest

Strengths:
Weaknesses:

Affiliations:
Kaiju -- "Kiddo"

Kaiju was the first other dog that Banks had taken a liking to. Upon the pup's arrival, Banks was rather annoyed by him. Kaiju would constantly be asking him the stupidest, most annoying questions imaginable, but Banks somehow felt responsible for him. In a way, Banks saw himself in the younger German Shepherd, and Banks made it his obligation to protect him as much as possible. Although it was never truly said between the two, they would in fact die for one another... But that all changed. In recent years, the two have grown rather distant, never having the same old conversations they used to or being around each other whenever they got the chance. Instead, only Banks is making an effort, and from afar, the older male will watch "what is" turn into "what was".
