I like to worldbuild, a couple of times I've done a little collaborative worldbuilding project, I'd be interested in doing another one and wanted to see who would be interested, and what theme!
How does collaborative worldbuilding work?
It's shouldn't be mixed up with roleplaying, we wouldn't be playing as characters and working out the world that way. This type of worldbuilding is largely based on discussion and it doesn't aim to focus on the story of one or two specific characters.
It's more focused on the world said characters would reside in. Discussions on what species there are, what the culture is, what the climate it like, all of those kinds of things. Everyone brings their own ideas to the table.
Absolutely we can develop and design the characters that reside within the world and discuss their relationships with other characters and with the world around them, but it's not the primary focus.
Think of it a bit like a nonfiction book for a fantasy series.
Like,, a documentary of the environment of Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings or something.
Anyway! Feel free to ask questions, I'm absolutely horrible at explaining things.
Feel free to comment if you'd be interested in a little worldbuilding collab, I'd be looking for maybe six people max.

I'd definitely be down for this if picked of course! I can't decide on just one, all of the options are pretty neat! A mix of future dystopia + earthbound sci-fi would go hard though. |
