Generations ago, humans and dragons held an amicable truce resulting in the highly coveted position of Dragon Riders. It's been decades, though, since the last dragon rider was seen, and humans, with their ever growing expanse, began to push the dragons out of their territories. Naturally, as dragons do, they fought back against the encroachment of humans onto their lands. Unfortunately they were out done by the sheer number of humans there are combined with the craftyness of the human race.
For years the dragon population plummeted, the once great species faultering as they watched their homes infiltrated and taken over by what they once thought were their allies. Despite being angered by the betrayal, the dragons withdrew from their lands, abandoning their hoards and lairs for a place where not even the humans could reach them: Cloudreach.
A collection of floating islands that the very first dragons originated from, they are only able to be reached by flight, and prove to be the sanctuary the dragons needed from the humans. It's here that the dragons begin to rebuild, but the islands have challenges of their own. Known to be primarily solitary, it's an adjustment for the dragons to live in such close quarters of others, not to mention they still must travel to the mainlands to hunt as to not overhunt the prey located on the islands.
Here is where the story will begin, the dragons finally being able to rebuild what they've lost, and work to a future of promise.

The Roleplay Rules
Follow all of Eve's and Wp's Rules
1. Be Active. As you can. I will mostly be on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, but I'll do my best to be on some of the other days. Let's aim for a post for each character a week.
2. Semi-Literacy is a must for this Rp, and needs to be shown in Sign Ups and Rp Posts.
3. Reservations last 48 hours. You know how I work if they aren't done in time. You may ask for One Extention of Up to 12 Hours, but You Must Ask Before the Reservation has Expired.
4. Maximum of 4 Characters Per Person for Now.
5. I reserve the Right to Deny Applications for this Rp. I won't tolerate disrespect or rude behavior if your application gets denied, or your reservation/character get removed due to inactivity. If you do, I won't even give you the option to fix it or return. If you are respectful, I am often willing to work with you.
6. No Perfect Characters, Godmodding, Powerplaying, etc. I won't tolerate it.
7. Please put your favorite Dragon movie or book character in the other section of your form if you've read everything.
8. Please read the Dragon Guide when making characters, as I will be capping size and age for the dragons, so we don't have people vying to try and make their dragon the most powerful, biggest, oldest, etc.
9. Currently there are no Playable humans in the Rp. However, if this is something you may potentially want in the rp, let me know. The rp is very open ended.
10. Please make characters diverse and interesting, as well as create affiliations and subplots. This will be a character driven Rp, so get them involved.
11. Right now there is no hierarchy amongst the dragons, as most of them lived solitary or with their mate/family. Dragons can have different opinions on whether they want to remain solitary, or form a clan, etc.
12. I will be doing things a bit differently in terms of the dragon types. I will only be unlocking the common types first. Then, once those are filled enough, I will unlock the next stage, with those with common dragons getting first dibs. This is because I've noticed in past rps we will get all the rare or uncommon dragons filled first, leaving almost no Common dragons, which would make them the exact opposite. I want people to play what they want, but I've also established these rarities for a reason.

The DragonsAll the dragons in the Rp are the age groups of hatchling to adult. I will add a break down of ages below. The older a dragon gets the longer the aging stage lasts, ergo ancient is longer than adult, which is longer than young adult, which is longer than their adolescent stage, and so on and so forth. Dragons are considered semi-immortal but it has never been proven what age they die naturally at.
Age Range
Hatchling: 0 - 1 Year
Juvenile: 1 - 10 Years
Adolescent: 10 - 50 Years
Young Adult: 50 - 250 Years
Adult: 250+ Years
Dragons don't start getting the basics of their powers until well into Adolesence, and their full abilities aren't unlocked til Young Adult.
For the Purpose of this Rp, all the dragons have to be within the age range of 1 to 450 Years of age, with a size of up to 19 for the Young Adults ones, and 27 for the Adult Ones, and anything below those for the dragons who are below YA.
For your dragons, though, it will be up to you to come up with their abilities and their individual weaknesses. Of course, I will have a specific set of Weaknesses that apply to ALL dragons, but each dragon will also have their own. You must have 1 Weakness for Every 1 Ability they have. So if you give them 5 Abilities, you must have 5 Weaknesses for them as well. Half of all of your Weaknesses must also be Physical Weaknesses or Limitations. This is to keep balanced, so no one's dragon is OP. If I do not think you have balanced your dragon enough, they will not be accepted.
