Name: (First, Last)

Catherine Donnaugh

Nickname:

Caite

Age:

24

Gender:

Female

Sexuality:

Heterosexual

Rank:

Beta

Role:

Caite prefers to work with the horses and livestock as she was a farmer's daughter before being turned, however, she will gladly spend time with Colette and the children as much as she is needed.

Thoughts on the travelers:

Caite almost feels pity for the travelers due to weather causing the dilemma, though she doesn't trust them to not get into trouble with any of the pack members.

Personality:

Caite is headstrong just like her Irish father. Her mother died shortly after her birth so she doesn’t know very many manners fit for a lady. She loves to be out in the dirt and working with the streets as much as she can. Caite doesn't fit the quiet, womanly mold with her love of being able to express her own mind and feelings. The young woman has a firey temper that makes her Irish accent thicker when she gets frustrated. She spends some of her free time reading or drawing the different people of the pack.

She doesn't trust easily but will be friendly to those around her. She likes to spend time on her own, though it isn't always possible. She is insecure about her scar from the attack 6 years ago and prefers to not speak about it or show it off. She is protective of the Alpha and Luna and will give anyone a side eye when she questions what they are saying.

Appearance:

Caite knows she has curves and she tries to hide them as best as she can. She has shapely hips and rump that melt into long athletic legs. Her upper body has a slightly larger than normal but not over large chest with a flat stomach that many have envied her for. Her mother’s family has strong cheekbones that make Caite’s dark gaze look even more intense when she isn’t smiling. Her eyes are a more almond shape with a little button nose that gives her a more natural beauty.

Caite has emerald green eyes that seem to pull people in when she talks. Her lips are full and plump and has waist length dark brown hair that carries a natural wave when she is fresh out of the water. Some scars litter her skin due to fights she has gotten into. There is a particularly large one that runs from her right collar bone down to her left thigh. Caite stands at 5'8" flat footed and weighs 170lbs of solid muscle, mainly from spending so much time working in fields and helping keep up the castle.

[credit goes to malachitinous on picrew]

She wears clothes that are common for the Medieval Era, though sometimes she will wear pants if she is doing something more physical. She prefers men's clothing with riding boots, riding pants, a billowy shirt and a corset, though she will wear a dress as request or required by either the Alpha, Luna, or other Beta.

Lycan appearance:

Caite’s lycan appearance carries the same dark brown hair and her dark green eyes. She is on the taller side standing at 7' even, but carries a more lythe build meant for endurance and quick attacks. There are bits of grey within the dark fur giving a little bit of depth to dark earthen tone that is thick and covers her entire body.

Her muzzle is long and sleek that ties into a large muscular yet feminine head. She has a tail that is proportionate to her taller size that resembles the tail of a Sheltie with the longer hair. Her ears that always seem to be resting against her skull except for when she is curious, have tips that are delicate and dipped in silver that fades to the dark brown.

Backstory:

Caite grew up helping her father and older brothers on their small farm before the attack. Her older sister always chastised her for spending more time outside doing manual labor instead of focusing on trying to find a husband. Caite could be partially responsible for leading her friend astray to wanting to be outside instead of lounging about day dreaming about marriages. It was not something that she was truly worried about as her father seemed more concerned with getting her older sister and brothers married first.

Caite was one to get into a little bit of mischief as a younger child and even though she was grown, it didn't take much to convince her to get into some sort of mess. She may have been one of the few to know about the plan between the future Alpha pair but she wasn't one to betray her friends' trust. She hadn't been near her home when the attack happened, having spent the night in the stables near Colette's home with the horses.

The attack happened shortly after Caite’s sister was married and Caite is the only one out of her family to have survived the attack. She made sure to cover the scar across her body and take care of her family's remains before leaving with the others who had survived. Even though she has a beautiful singing voice, since the passing of her family; Caite has refused to sing let alone have much to do with music as that was a huge part of her family.

Hidden talents:

She has a good singing voice.

Can shapeshift, though it needs to be discovered by her.

Can learn things by doing and mimicking.

Caite can play piano, or similar instrument for medieval times, though she hasn't touched one lately.

Fears:

Being alone.

Not understanding where she is.

Losing her friends and pack mates.

Hurting the people she cares about.

Not being good enough for someone or for the role that she has taken on as the Beta.

Strengths:

She has an easier time bonding with animals.

Her natural strength.

Thinking through different situations.

Thinking on her feet quickly.

Weaknesses:

Hard headed.

Doesn't trust easily.

Animals and children.

her family/the pack.

Her scar in the sense that she is insecure about it.

Anything else you want to share:

Caite can be a bit clumsy, especially when she gets embarrassed or frustrated. Her Irish accent gets stronger as she gets more embarrassed due to her father primarily speaking in Irish when she was growing up and made sure all of his children could speak fluently.

Crush:

Open

Mate:

Open

Relations, such as family or friends:

Colette Frost - Caite has known Colette for as long as she can remember. She won't openly admit it, but she was relieved that her one friend was also among those that became afflicted. Of course she wouldn't be a friend if she hadn't been overjoyed for Christopher and Colette to marry. When the children came along, Caite became a little more protective of her friend and will gladly put herself in harms way before letting anything happen to the family. Caite had been a little jealous when the pair first began courting each other but she has slowly grown to accept that she has to share her friend, though she isn't afraid to interrupt any romantic moment that she can. A little bit of payback...probably.

Christopher Frost - WIP

Open/PM me.

Children:

None yet.

Other:

Caite's voice claim is Liz Gilles.

Name:
Elias Nathaniel Sauzac;
Goes by Eli or Elias
Age:

Just Turned 25 Years
Gender:

Male
Rank:

Pack Member
Role:

Elias' main contribution to the pack is the horses, donkeys, and mules he breeds, trains, and cares for. He's had to build his stock from the ground up, so while his horses may not be pedigreed or award winning, they are going to be extremely hardy work horses that are reliable, sound, and bomb proof by the time he's done. He has other things to offer too though, like he's good at butchering his own meats, cooking, and he's decent with basic veterinary care from taking care of his own animals. He does have few livesock animals too, so he can sell trade products [milk, eggs, etc.] too.
Thoughts on the Travelers?:

Elias could honestly take them or leave them. He holds no ill will towards them, but he also understands the hesitancy when it comes to letting humans stay and be around them. He supposes that as long as they don't become a threat to the pack and himself, he doesn't really care if they help them.
Human Appearance:

Credit Belongs to _Modagit on Picrew. Credit also on Image Itself.

The first thing most people notice about Elias is his sheer size. While he certainly isn't the tallest guy in existence, he does stand at a little over 6'2" which puts him at the taller end of things. However, it's his height combined with his build and weight that really tips the scales for him. At 223 Lbs, he is on the heavier side for someone his height, but it's almost entirely muscle. He's worked hard most of his life, and his body is a testimony to that and his strength.

Elias generally could be described as wide or broad, with a thick set of shoulders above a wide, powerful chest. His arms are long, with biceps that always seem to bulge agains the constraint of sleeves, but a narrower waist that is flat and chiseled with abs. His hips aren't quite as his shoulders, but they aren't nonexistent either, whereas his legs are built more like tree trunks than actual leggies. His hands are large, with long nimble fingers, his palms calloused from work, and scars on his knuckles. Overall, he has the build and appearance of someone who obviously grew up and worked on a farm and doing various chores for it.

Basically. The man be Thicc. Thiccums status.

Elias honestly has a rather handsome face. His jaw is chiseled, looking like he was carved out of stone, with high cheeks bones that could cut glass. He has a very statuesque look, like he should be one of the greek statues in the center of a fountain. His nose is relatively straight, but it's shorter and rather blunt rather than being pointed and long. His lips are wider and on the fuller side, with the bottom being fuller than the top. His eyes, though, which are probably one of his stronger features, are quite hooded. They have a sleepy, seductive look to them, this effortless vibe that always seems to be somewhat smoldering and therefore intense at times. However, what also calls attention his eyes are the color of them. His eyes are technically hazel, but with how light they are and how the blending of colors ended up working for him, they almost appear to be a bright, brilliant gold in hue. Like someone melted down some gold coins and poured them into the irises of his eyes.

His hair is not something that Elias puts a lot of effort of emphasis on, but what he does seems to suit him. He tends to keep his hair shorter in a rather stereotypical style for men. It's longer on the top than on the sided, and he doesn't let it grow down his neck or get very long. Has he let it grow out a few times? Of course. But as of more recently he's been keeping it short and groomed. His hair is dark in color, being midnight black right now. He'll start seeing grey hairs pop up over the next few years, a straight that is in his bloodline that causes those in his family with black hair to become salt and pepper in their hair fairly early on.

Lastly, Elias is a rather scarred individual, and I don't mean just emotionally or mentally. Physically, he has several scars adorning his flesh, the most obvious ones being on his face [as pictured]. However, he also has some pretty prominent scars on his back from where he was deeply clawed by the Lycan who turned him. The lacerations to his back almost killed him and would have if he hadn't taken to the change, but, since they were so deep and given at the time of his change, they ended up as ridged scars on his back. He has another claw mark across his chest too that is puckered, but not as badly as the long marks on his back. Elias' scars might seem worse than others because he used his own body to block the Lycan from reaching his younger siblings at first. He would have rather died using his own body as a shield for his siblings than to let them get mauled to death in front fo him. He also has scars on his body from various different things growing up, but none of them are as bad as the ones from the attack.

Lycan Appearance:

Elias is one of the people who's Lycan form seems to represent who he is just as much as his human form does. He's goliath in size, one of, if not the largest Lycan in the pack, Eli stands at 7'10", he is at the maximum height a lycan can get. His wolfish form is quite built, athletic in it's appearance with bulky muscling seen throughout his figure. To put it simply, Elias' lycan form is a brute. Wide shoulders and a deep chest, and powerful legs and hips, he's clearly built to be an apex predator, and he has the capabilities to be one. Its actually easy to think that Elias is a bit gangly, with long arms, and stockier hind legs, but when he's crouched it's easier to see the bulky sinew beneath the fur and skin of his hide.

In this form, he has some unique features, specifically on his head. For one he has tall ears that are tufted at the top. His ears are rather expressive, giving away how he feels even when his features are stoic. His muzzle is on the longer side, but large, with his canines being a bit overgrown so that they peek past his lips. This gives the male quite a nasty bite, but also a very distinctive one. He also has prominent cheek tufts, that gives him a very obvious wolfish look to his appearance.

In terms of his fur coat, Elias has shorter fur, not so short that it looks like he doesn't have any, but the kind of short and dense fur that is rather compacted and keeps him well protected from fights and the elements. His fur is definitely on the coarser side, not being at all very soft to the touch. He does have the stereotypical longer, almost mane like fur around his neck and on his chest, it isn't as prominent on him as it might be on other lycans. His fur is a dark, inky black that matches his normal hair color in human form, and his eyes are a brilliant gold in color, contrasting beautifully with the dark backdrop of his fur. His belly fur, or underside, though, does appear a little bit lighter than the rest of his body, almost seemingly like a charcoal grey than black.

Personality:

Stiff | Socially Uncomfortable | Handy | Hard Working | Helpful | Good Listener | Stoic | Observant | A Bit Untamed | Growly | Solitary | Unintentionally Unfriendly | Man of Few Words | Animal Lover | Stubborn | Hard Headed | Immovable Object | Sturdy | Reliable | Routined | Neat | Reserved | Aloof | Intense | Lonely

Backstory:

Elias was born to a more middle class family. They weren't wealthy, but they were respected in the community. His fathered owned one of the larger farms and had his fingers in enough pies that the family never wanted for anything. He was keen to teach his sons his business so that they could take over, expand, and provide for their own families one day. However, with there being 5 kids total, 4 of them boys, Elias wasn't keen to follow after his dad and siblings, and wanted to do something for himself. This was something his father understood, but tried to encourage him to take up as a side hobby at first, just so he didn't struggle.

Unfortunately, neither of them ever got to see what would become of himself, as the attack tore his family apart. His mother and father were killed by the beast, and so were several of his siblings. As a result, Elias has drawn away from the others just a bit, having grown up in a big family and now being without, he felt a bit empty as a result and needed to learn how to cope.

Now that he has his life somewhat put together, Elias is returning to the social world, but he's still hesitant about it all. It's safe to say he's much more comfortable in his work than he is being around others.

Caite:

The first rays of the morning sun came creeping over the dew covered grassy knoll as the young woman rested her back against the rough bark of the tree that she was currently sitting in. One leg hung lazily off of the branch swinging as the dark emerald orbs looked over the scenery around her looking for anything that would cause alarm. Her mount was happily munching on the sweet grass, enjoying having the lush field to himself.

A soft hum filled the quiet of the morning, stemming from the female as her gaze finally moved to her mount, making sure that the dark stallion hadn't abandoned her to head back on his own to the stables. The duo were an unlikely pair, but even with their differences, they did look after each other. "Do you think we should finish the round before the morning beats us home Darragh?" Her question earned just a simple flick of the horse's ears and he raised his head giving a good shake as if to say no.

Caite couldn't help but chuckle at the answer and she couldn't blame him. Spending time watching the sun come out before many of the other pack members were up was refreshing, albeit a little lonely. With a soft grunt, she pushed herself away from the trunk and adjusted her position beginning her climb back down to the world below. Darragh stood waiting and watching, possibly anticipating if she was going to let herself fall part of the way, an excuse to 'spook' and leave her behind, or if she was going to take her time and not give him the excuse to run away.

Sadly it was the latter of the two and Caite made it down quietly while grabbing the reins so that her mount wouldn't make his escape. "I saw those wheels turnin' Darragh. You aren't gettin' away from me t'at easy." If the horse could roll his deep blue orbs, he would have as his rider easily flitted herself into the saddle upon his back. After a few 'suggestions' to move forward, Darragh, with a extremely heavy sigh, began the pairs return at a slow walk.

The dark, dappled, rich caramel bay half draft had earned his name due to his dark coloring and sturdiness that reminded Caite much of an oak tree. His midnight black mane and tail were braided loosely to help keep the long hair clean and out of the way. Caite tucked a strand of her own loose, dark brown hair behind her ear feeling the slight breeze picking up as they continued on the path checking the perimeter. It had been dark when she had woken the horse from his slumber, which had earned a not so kind nip on her thigh as she was tacking him up. Her free hand wandered to where she knew the bruise would be forming, remembering the few choice unladylike words that she had used, but didn't hold it against him. She didn't particularly enjoy getting woken up to do work either.

The light fabric of the cloak she wore, wrapped itself around her body to hold in what little heat she needed for the ride. Caite had gone with her normal riding attire but instead of a richly colored shirt, she had gone for a simple white shirt with her trusted black corset over it, because either way it was going to show, a pair of black riding pants, and her well loved black riding boots. Her hair was pulled back in a loose braid from the night before, strands escaping from her restless sleep and the climbing.

The sun was just reaching over the hill with its rays reaching the lower houses of the pack members as Caite pushed Darragh into a lope, running down the hill. Her eyes closed letting herself get lost in the memories of racing her brothers and father across the fields outside of their town. As if sensing the pain, Darragh pulled himself up into a collected slow lope as his shod feet started to hit against the cobblestone of the street. Caite opened her eyes at the first ring of his steps reached her ears. A deep sigh left her frame as she tightened her reins slowing the stallion's gait to a tempered trot.

The town was also beginning to wake around her as she maneuvered along the streets keeping to the outskirts to finish the loop of the perimeter check before turning the stallion up the way to head back to the stables. A few of the other adults were beginning to step out into the ever raising sun offering a wave or good morning as she rode by. Caite returned the gesture and sentiments keeping a neutral face/tone as she moved. She was forever grateful for Colette and Christopher for offering her the position of Beta, though she has spent a few nights wondering what in the world she had done to deserve such a title.

Weariness began to creep into her muscles as the structure of the stables came into view. She had started her check earlier than normal due to the almost recurring nightmare of the fateful night that appeared when the full moon was closing in. Darragh leaned into the bit in his mouth, signaling that if he wanted to, he would take off back to the sanctity of the walls. Caite felt his weight go into her hands and she pressed her heel into his side, causing the large stallion to bend around her heel, pulling his weight back into himself. "You don't have to be a jerk." She muttered fighting the yawn that was working its way up her body.

Thankfully the evil action did not make an appearance as she slowed to a walk and stopped Darragh just outside of the wooden doors. She wasn't sure if any of the others were up yet, and opened the doors as quietly as she could, led the stallion back into the building. Of course the horse was ecstatic to be back with his friends that he let out a whinny earning a few returns that caused Caite to wince and speed up the untacking of her mount.

Whelp, she tried to not make a raucus but Darragh had other plans.

Elias

The soft sound of bristles on fur was one of the only sounds herd in the stables, the rays of early morning sunlight not yet crawling in through the cracks of the stables. For Elias, morning always started early, preferably before the sun was up, this was a routine he had gotten into in the summer when the days were hot, and it was easier to do labor when it was cool.

A lazy nicker rolled from the mare he brushed, her head hanging as she lazily leaned into him. He chuckled and patted her shoulder, earning him a soft snort. Unlike him, the mare, Nyx, did not enjoy the early morning, but she wasn't going to protest them when they came with brushing and hay. Being one of his two personal horses, Elias tended to them first, and then would handle the rest of the horses under his care and in his program.

Being the primary horse breeder and trainer in Lycos meant he was in charge of majority of the equines in their small town. He liked it, though, as it brought familiarity, and it eased the subtle ache in his chest that losing his family had created. Instinctively his knuckles rose to rub the spot in the center of his chest as the ugly ache reared its head once more as a reminder. Sensing his distraction the mare lifted her head and pressed it into his shoulder with enough effort to almost knock him over.

"Sorry, sorry," he apologied, rubbed the spot between her eyes gently, before setting the brush aside. "C'mon, let's get you out," he spoke lowly, loosely wrapping a rope around the mares neck and leading her out. Nyx was one of the few horses he trusted without a lead rope and halter, she wasn't one to take off or spook on him. So a lead loosely over her neck was all she needed to follow after him.

As he lead her out of her stall he glanced at the one labeled 'Darragh', taking note that Caite must have taken him out earlier this morning. It wasn't the first time, and it didn't bother him at all, it actually meant he had a chance to clean the stallion's stall without having to juggle him around to a pasture or paddock. Elias preferred to be cautious with the stallions in his care, keeping them apart from each other since there were mares around. The broad man let Nyx out into the pasture, the black blanket appaloosa mare trotting out casually, her legs stretching as she moved along the fence line. She was a tall-ish mare at a little over 16 hh, and one of the best mares he had in his care. Of course he might have been biased considering she was his own horse.

With Nyx stretching her legs out in the pasture, and Darragh off with Caite, Elias set to some of his tasks. First he cleaned and restocked the bay stallion's stall so it was ready for when he returned and then he set to cleaning Nyx's. It was light work for him, something he did regularly, but it was work that was just beginning for him. Once the stalls were done he walked the stables and pursed his lips. He needed to put out some of the mares to clean their stalls, and they'd be out for most of the day too. So he began, one at a time, walking the mares out to join the appaloosa mare in the pasture.

He was in the stall of one of his older mares, Issa, a greyed mare with a sturdy and reliable build, when he heard the familiar sound of Darragh returning to the stables. Stepping out with the older mare behind him he nodded to the Beta, and closed Issa's stall behind him. "Good morning," he called softy, though he was interrupted by the loud, obnoxious sound of his own stallion's guttural reply to Darragh's call. Hallbjorn, a draft cross stallion who was often mistaken for black he was such a dark bay, shoved his head out of his stall, his neck arcing as he pawed at the door loudly.

Elias rolled his eyes at the stallion antics and shook his head a bit. He glanced at Issa, who seemed completely unbothered by the loud stallions, and rubbed her neck. "Boys, am I right?" He half asked her, half asked Caite, slight humor in his baritone vocals.

"Did you have a good ride?" He asked Caite as he walked over, the short mare trailing behind him. Issa was one of his oldest mares, so he trusted her not to cop an attitude about being near the stallions. If it had been Nyx? She would have put on a show, of that he was sure.

Caite

"Boys, am I right?"

His question pulled Caite's attention from the cinch to land on him and then his mare. "That is a little...oh how should I say this...interesting coming from you." A slight smile danced at the corners of her mouth as her hands undid the leather fastenings. "Also in answer to your question, the ride was beautiful. I am thankful that the weather is beginning to warm and the sunrises never seem to get tiresome." Her eyes moved back to the stallion as he lipped at the edge of her cape and she shook her head.

She gently pushed his head away pulling the saddle from his back turning to put it on the respective saddle stand that she had pulled it from earlier. "You should soon be having foals droppin'. Anyone getting close?" Caite looked over to Elias as she set the saddle down and paused looking around them noting the empty stalls. Her question held her second question of asking if he would need help. As much as she adored helping with the Alpha's children, sometimes she wanted the baby snuggles of the baby horses.

Darragh rested a hind foot as Caite stood away from him, lazily swishing his tail as he waited to be put back in his stall. The ride and run had worked up some sweat on the horse, due to his longer fur, and Caite was letting him dry before putting him away. All she needed was him to roll and throw particles everywhere. Especially when she had spent a little bit brushing him before their ride.

"Have you ever watched the sun rise from the lone oak tree in the northwest hill at this time of year? I wish I could stay there and watch the day pass."

Her words holding a far-away tone as she stepped back to her mount and leaned against his rump as he rested. She gave the horse a couple of pats when she straightened her stance, stepping over to Issa offering her hand to the mare. "I am jealous of you." She whispered to the mare with a soft smile. "I wish I could get doted on and not have to deal with others."

Being the Beta had its rewarding moments but there were also the times when Caite wanted to be locked away from the world to read or catch up on some sleep, though she doesn't turn anyone away who asks for help. Especially if they are little and call her auntie. A yawn worked its way free and Caite lifted a hand covering her mouth as she yawned.

"The late night stories are starting to catch up with me and I don't even get to reap the benefits."

A soft snort discharged from the young man, and he nodded gently, only now realizing how the sentence sounded coming from him. "I suppose you have a point," he agreed, and glanced to Issa before continuing, "I suppose I should have said: 'Stallions, am i right?'" He corrected himself, his attention shifting to Hallbjorn who blew out of his nose loudly and turned away when he finally realized he wasn't about to get any attention.

At the question about foals, Elias visibly lit up, immediately becoming more animated as he jumped into answering the question. The best way to get Elias talking was obviously to ask him about his work. "I actually had a foal born last night. She was a maiden mare so I'm not surprised she came early, but both mom and filly are doing good," he motioned down the stables to one of the larger stalls he used for foaling.

A palomino mare resided within the stall, a small filly with a blood bay coat sprawled on the floor in sleep. "Sako thankfully had an easy birth and seems to have taken to her foal, so Im grateful. She and Hallbjorn made a gorgeous foal this year," if it were possible, Elias almost seemed to be gushing like a proud papa over his mare and foal. "I should have an excellent batch of foals this year, but more tha I've ever had if all goes well, so they'll keep me on my toes," he sighed, though the sound was more of content than fatigue.

He listened to Caite talk while he set to tugging loose tangles out of the grey mare's mane. She was used to it at this point, and seemed to still be half a sleep, her eyes slowly opening and closing as she seemed ready to sleep once more. She was one of the mares further along, her side round and wide with the foal she carried.

"I have not," he answered her honestly, a slight frown tugging at his lips, "unfortunately I'm often up and working before the sun rises, and I don't get a chance for a break until after it's already high above." Most of Elias' life nowadays was his work with the horses, preferring to keep himself busy and away from his thoughts. He hadn't had a day off since they moved there, hell, he couldn't even remember the last time he'd slept in even just a little.

Elias listened to Caite and watched as Issa lazily accepted attention from the woman, her eyes half closed as she did. "I do not envy you. I know some people want the prestige of a high rank, but I'm happy just existing over here where the only ones I deal with her equines," he admitted, he himself yawning in response to hers to which he used the side of his hand to cover as he did.

"I suppose if you ever need a day off, you can just say you're helping me with a sick horse. I'll cover for you and you can even sleep in the hay loft if you want so no one bothers you," he offered, knowing there had been a few times he had nodded off in a stall or the hay loft himself. He preferred the loft, though, because not only had he made a little den up there for him to relax, but few ever went up there.

Caite

Hearing the man beam with pride as he shared about the first foal that had been born pulled the woman's attention from the watching the mare. She nodded as he spoke about existing with the horses, however, when he yawned, Caite couldn't help but chuckle. "Thank you for the offer Elias, however, I do think that even if I were to try and sneak away, the heirs would inevitably find me and make sure to cause mayhem." Imagining the twins of their leaders had Caite shaking her head as she stepped back towards her mount. She released the stallion from the tie that he was tied to and walked him over to his stall.

"I may try to take you up on that offer one of these days, but with how the weather is finally beginning to warm back up with longer days, I think that is a dangerous offer to have a place to hide and sleep." She let the horse walk into his stall and closed the front gate, putting his bridle on the peg on the wooden brace next to his door. The idea of having a place to hide away and get a couple hours of sleep was enticing to the female, though, once she was up sadly she was up and couldn't fall asleep for a nice nap even if she wanted to.

She was about to walk over to the stall with the new foal but was diverted when a pack member stepped into the stable. "Caite, Colette is asking for your assistance." Caite nodded and began to follow the member. "Thank you Michael." She paused for a moment at the door and looked over her shoulder at Elias. "Thank you again Elias. Try not to spend too much time loving on those babies." A playful wink was tossed in his direction before she turned, pausing for a moment to collect herself and straightened her stance following after Michael.

~~Later that afternoon. Early evening.~~

Caite was sitting out by the fire holding Rhea on her lap with one hand and a doll with the other helping to distract the young child while speaking with Colette who was holding on to Louie. It had been decided that since it was the first calm night to have a fire outside in the main courtyard to celebrate. The fire was dancing in the early evening fading light while its warmth covered those who were standing close to the flames.

The light was already casting shadows on some member's faces as conversations flowed around it. Caite turned her attention to the little ball of energy in her arms with a smile and exaggerated expressions even while she spoke with her friend and leader. "With the weather beginning to warm, it would be wise to begin planning for a trip into the town to trade for any supplies we need. I know we are well off as we are, but I don't think it would hurt to get some items that we do not have."

Caite was thinking about some different fabrics to expand the wardrobes of any in the pack that may want something a little more elegant than what they were able to produce. Her eyes moved from the child over to her friend to gauge her reaction not expecting to see the nod of approval. "It would be nice to see you in something other than men's clothing my dear friend. A dress would suit you quite nicely I believe." The innocent smile on the blonde woman's features earned a groan and eyeroll from the brunette.

"Colette, you know how much I detest wearing dresses. They look stunning on you but I fear that they would show too much of..." Caite paused her words balking at the idea of wearing something that would show the painful reminder of the night 6 years ago. A soft hand on her arm pulled the woman from her thoughts to meet the empathetic gaze of Colette.

"We all came out with scars. Some more noticeable than others, but you are letting it hold you back from expressing yourself." Caite snorted at her friend's suggestion and set Rhea down to walk over to her mother. "I will keep that in mind Colette, but I don't want to hog you all to myself." Her eyes motioned towards Christopher as she handed the doll back to the little girl and stood up dusting off her pants before stepping away to give the family their own space.
