Ooh a forum thread! How nice.

~~~
A brief overview of the plot;
"See, you have a price to pay."
"
Your daughter - for your kingdom. Otherwise, you crumble."
The war between the Galcolians and the Valvorhks is over. On the most rocky of peace terms, the Valvorhks won - technically. Their tribute? The sole female heir to the Galcolian throne, to wed the Valvorhm Prince - hunting hobbyist, someone who couldn't keep a woman for more than a week, and in his parents' exasperation forced this arrangement around.
Wouldn't it be a tad interesting if the princess was a shape-shifter that shifted into forms that our prince hunted?
Name: Björn Ansgar
Nickname{s}: Björ (B-your)
Gender: Male
Age: 25 Years
Birthday: 14th February
Titles:
°~Captain of the Knights of Valvorhm
°~Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Valvorhm
Appearance:
Björn stands at a looming 6'7 with a fairly toned-muscular built body, with the muscles along his upper arms and torso being well defined and easy to see giving him a fairly formed and capable appearance. His skin is a pale ivory with some areas appearing a slightly more tanned shade such as along his chest and face. His face is slightly rounded, with a sharp jawline and well defined cheekbones.
The hair on his eyebrows is a dark gray, close to black making them stand out compared to the lightness of his hair, he often trims and waxes them to retain the smooth and elegant shape they have taken on, leaving his resting face as a serious-energy radiating look.
His hair is a silvery white, platinum blonde, which is parted of towards the left side of his head. The locks are semi long in some places such as the back towards his neck, and take on a wavey, slightly curly form. The iris's of his eyes are a blue-ish silver, appearing mostly silver in normal to dim lighting. In direct sunlight or heavy light however, his eyes will give off a pale blue sheen similar to that of frost or ice.
The skin on his lips is a pale beige colour with a hint of pinkness through them, giving them a warm and inviting look, the ridge of his top lip has a fairly noticeable shape similar to a bow, adding more angles and curves to the shit eating grin he so often wears.
Despite being crown prince, Björn much rather prefers acting as the Knights Captain, allowing him to equip and stride around in a full light weight suit of armour, mainly forged of Valvorhm Steel, giving it a bright and eye catching pitch black colour with the fabric being used for beneath his gloves and other equipped pieces is fairly standard black cotton.
His armour has a few overlaying pieces which replicate a design similar to scales, with the most obvious example being around his shoulder pads. The outter parts of his armour are decorated in small snow white coloured designs, mainly consisting of sharp and jagged like patterns. His armour has a removable cape, which is made of Valvorhms' finest silks and cottons all in a pure black colour with a blend of black and white wolfs fur around the end trimmings.
By absorbing and retaining heat it can keep the wearer warm and dry in cold weather and areas. He often carries a traditional long sword, keeping it sheathed in its cover which lies tied around his waist on a black leather belt, along with a pouch containing a personal hand held mirror, a hairbrush, and his coins.
Personality:
Björn is fairly cocky and overly arrogant, believing that the world revolves around him and him only. His upbringing had his every wish being met and with next to no discipline or anyone telling him no, as such he has taken on a very demanding and selfish attitude that seems to never be satisfied. He takes the biggest pride in his reputation and appearance, spending minutes to hours staring at himself in his handheld mirror or his rooms vanity while he adjusts every last strand of his hair until he finds it satisfactory.
His temper is easily tapped into with even the slightest resistance if it goes against what he wants, throwing tantrums that range between the silent treatment, or items being hurled and smashed in fits of rage. He shows a level of determination during these fits, with some tantrums lasting days or even weeks with him moping until the other party caves into his request.
He always carries himself highly, with great posture with the set thought that nothing and no one would dare harm such a charming and charismatic individual. The only passion he puts hard work and effort into is his swordsmanship, spending hours at a time with the other knights to practice his form, his parry's, his technique. He heavily believes that using a sword isn't just a means of fighting, but also an art; an art of sweat, blood, of movement and rhythm.
He gets scolded often but the words never have any meaning to him, as he thinks their words are beneath him, his carefree attitude usually bringing harm and hurt to people who care about him, with him not returning the gestures and feelings.
With his looks and his titles, he has women swooning over him everywhere he goes, feeding more into his ego as he boasts about how great and powerful he is. In his eyes, life's all about fun, none of the responsibility that comes with his power and titles he boasts of so much. With everyone he has fall for him, he's lead deeper into the delusion that he could have any woman he wants, purely convinced that every woman he meets immediately falls in love with him. He genuinely cannot tell right from wrong and will say things as they appear, with no attempt to sugar coat or re-word anything he says. He is often left in a state of pure confusion when women slap him and walk out or when people throw him dirty looks, his thoughts leading him to believe he is never at fault and that he is perfect in everyway. His every conclusion to any conflict between him and another is that it is always the other person's fault, that they were not good enough for him and will never consider for a second if it was his actions or words to blame. He loves to parade around the kingdom in his Knights Captain armour, flexing and posing for his adoring fans in the crowds as he gets showered with praise and flowers from them, often receiving free items such as baked goods and jewellery as gifts too. He doesn't understand the importance of coin, and is often horribly disgusted by those that live in the street, begging for coins, not only by their living situations, but often their appearance too, afraid he too could catch... The dirt? Mud? Whatever the sludge stuff is on the ground..?
He's never had a relationship or friendship last longer than a week due to his nature, his arrogance, his straight forwardness, alot about him really. He, as a person, can be next to insufferable to stick around for long term, appearing an absolute saviour and sweet heart for the mere glimpses someone sees him out in public, with his angelic pearly white teethed smile and blown kisses. Despite his rather flashy appearances, Björn occasionally dips out to the outer forests of Valvorhm, away from the kingdom and it's volcanoes to where the trees still grow. He spends hours alone as he hunts, being sure to gather trophies of magnificent beasts and other creatures he slays, from fangs to horns and sometimes even pelts. He has an entire room he gloats about that holds each of these trophies on display, as a show of his power.
Strengths:
°~Björn is quick to play the hero in most fights against other soldiers, bandits or even creatures. He's skilled with his sword and actually shows a level of intelligence and understanding around it, his only focal point in life.
°~Björn is highly attractive and charismatic, making deals, offers and proposals he makes almost next to impossible to decline. {That is, without the added child-like tantrums}
Weaknesses:
°~He is a terrible liar. He wears the truth clear as day with a guilty look, pouty face or other given signs. Most times, he won't even deny it.
°~Hes very clueless as to how the world works outside of the castle, not really understanding why some people "choose" to live as lowly as they do. His understanding of reality is incredibly warped.
°~He's easily manipulated by compliments and other challenges that offer him a chance to show himself or his {limited} skills off. He can easily be tricked because of his constant need and want, to stand out.
°~Can never handle the truth as clear as it is. If by some miracle he realised he had done wrong, such as if somebody died as a result of his actions, he'd choose to ignore or forget about it happening, the one time someone innocent died by his hand, while being confronted privately, he broke down into a sobbing mess for days after the incident.
°~His hunting hobby is about the only hard work anyone would ever see him actually do. Most of his disgust towards dirt and things temporarily forgotten in the thrill of the hunt, the chase and the tracking.
(That, and he wears completely expendable clothes which he allows to get dirty, and all is well as long as he gets his three hour soak in the castle bath when he returns.)
Abilities:
None to his knowledge although his mana pool is otherworldly.
Relationship: Single
Past Relationships: Far too many to even count or name.
Crush: None {Currently}
Kin:
Falthyr Ansgar {King of Valvorhm} - Father - Alive
Falthyr is a ruthless man who shows next to no mercy to others both inside and outside of his kingdom. He rules with a cold and hardened fist, striking down any who oppose him. He grows extremely paranoid with his thoughts instantly delving to treason, convincing himself everyone is out to get him and his people, hense the constant wars Valvorhm calls upon outside kingdoms. His temper is a sight to behold, and he holds almost next to no rationality when making decisions. Many say it was how he was born and raised, to be a heartless tyrant who cares very little for those around him. But some know the truth... That he was once a kind, caring and gentle soul... Until his heart, his love was torn from him years earlier.
~
Anika Ansgar {Queen of Valvorhm} - Mother - Deceased
Anika was a sweet soul. A soothing balm to the constant pressures of ruling that Falthyr often faced. She held much compassion and love for the world and everything in it, always choosing peace over violence. It wasn't until an attack from within Valvorhm that her life was taken, and Falthyr was left to raise Björn alone, in the midst of his grief.
Name - Kayeni Maddox
~
Gender - Female
~
Shifter
~
Appearance -
Kayeni is a proud woman that will always hold herself up straight. Her back will not slouch and her concentration will rarely waver. Deep hazel eyes set with high cheekbones, alongside a mane of dark brown hair, set her face to be as if in stone - barely wavering, even though there may be an internal war inside her. A cool, calm, collected demeanour radiates from her appearance, despite being slightly shorter than the average woman.
As a wolf, Kayeni's long dark brown hair translates into a long chocolate coat, with black socks. Her muzzle has a demure set to it, and transitions from her chocolate-coloured coat to hazel head-covering, finally reaching a white tip at her muzzle. A slim white streak dashes underneath her underbelly - again, even in this form she is slightly smaller than her husband, but is willing to put up an even greater fight.
~
Strengths -
Kayeni is a passionate, proud person, and excels in people-dealing - diplomacy, requesting, conflict management, teamwork, you name it. Maybe she won't always succeed, but she'll give it her best shot.
She is able to identify other people (or wolves) exceptionally well as a result - her facial recognition skills outpass many others by a long way. Even having only seen someone once, she will be able to recognise them.
She also has a rather bright mind, instituting creativeness that some may see through ingenious (if not slightly unorthodox) problem-solving of various topics. This is a quiet strength she holds that gives her a slight edge over her opponenets - thinking "outside of the outside of the box", as she would phrase it.
Her mental wellbeing, provided she knows that everyone is alright, is also strong. Having a high sense of empathy and understanding allows her to concentrate on a topic for a large amount of time, allowing her trademark concentration and dedication to make a strong appearance in her work.
~
Weaknesses -
Although Kayeni is passionate, and is great a dealing with people and things, she sometimes lacks the strength to carry out extremely harsh judgements, and is unable to run at high speeds for too long - in both forms. She isn't weak per se, but it's just something she is unable to achieve. Hence, physically she is slightly on the lower side. She does make up for this in terms of her strengths, but it is something that (at times) can be unavoidable.
At points where there are too many things to deal with, on the very odd occassion she also breaks. While those unfamiliar with her won't realise anything wrong (only seeing Kayeni being Kayeni), those extremely close to her will realise when an internal meltdown is approaching, and take steps to avoid it.
She also has a hard time dealing with losing those who she associates with closely. She can't bear the thought of having to continue life without someone who she is attached to - she can, and if the situation required it, would, but she would have a significantly harder time over it.
~
Personality -
Complementing her strengths, Kayeni is a rather strong people-person. She is decently empathetic, and will always try to coddle (in some slight form) the other members of the family.
To everyone else, Kayeni appears to be (almost violently) passionate about what she does, and almost never gets flustered or "lost" when dealing with them. She emenates a calm demeanour, with underlying flames of dedication burning beneath it.
She holds strong opinions of everyone around her, and everything that affects her. Sometimes bothered with trivial matters (for example - trying to understand why there is a branch on the floor when there is no tree within a hundred meters), however she is able to discard said matters from her mind should something more important come up.
These currents of dedication and passion are displayed in various forms wherever she goes. She moves straight-backed, with an intent to do something displayed in her face almost at all times.
Sometimes, these habits of focussing on the minute details catches up with her - if something really bothers her, she will get caught up in the details that no-one would bat an eyelid at. She works to train herself not focus on the minute details, but on the odd occassion she will still revert back to her old habits.
~~~

~
The smell of sulfur lingered in the air, the sweltering heat of the volcanoes causing the smallest sheen of sweat to form along Björn's forehead as he made his way through the castle corridors.
His fingers glided along the dark stoned walls as he felt the gentle warmth emanating from the surface.
~
"...So early. Too early." He grumbled under his breath, his eyes narrowed ever so slightly in a grumpy scowl. The distant sound of a hammer on an anvil drifted on the air, the soft chattering of the common folk a constant buzz as the sounds of the kingdom blended together like some kind of melody.
It felt peaceful. Björn let the faintest smile tug at his lips with that thought. "Peaceful, huh...?" Peaceful wasn't a word that would often describe his homeland. From the intimidating and powerful sight of the twin volcanoes in which the castle lay situated between, to the barren land devoid of plantation and freely flowing water. The place only ever reeked of sulfur, metal and smoking materials. It wasn't exactly a picture perfect paradise in which the birds sang and flowers bloomed in all sorts of colours. No. Instead, they had the occasional wyvern or dragon screeching overhead, or the smallest geysers of magma and soot.
~
The buildings were all built of darkened cobblestone and metal beams to support the structures in place of wood. In such a place as Valvorhm, it would only act as a hazard to the kingdom and it's inhabitants.
It was always dark and dreary. Everyday seeming to blend into one.
Björn let out a long groan as he stretched his arms over his head, slightly arching his body as he walked, still attempting to blink the sleep from his eyes.
~
'Damn this council, making me get up at such an hour. Don't they realize I need my beauty sleep? Surely there's nothing important that needs addressing that I'm not already aware of.' Björn pondered to himself as he was met by the guards to the main hall.
The knights both gave a bow, before reaching for the grand metal doors as they pulled them open. Björn winced a little as the hinges screeched with a horrible grating sound, the bottom of the door now beginning to create grooves in the stone floor from it's many times being opened and closed. With a small nod of his head to acknowledge the knights, he strode into the room, his silvery eyes scanning over the small gathering of people, before resting on Falthyr. His father. The king.
~
"You sent for me, your majesty?" Björn inquired with a slightly mocking bow, his eyes ever so slightly catching sight of the council members who whispered in hushed tones at the crown princes arrival. A few seemed rather, displeased by his attitude, but refrained from bringing notice to such thoughts. Falthyr, meanwhile, fixed Björn with a cold and piercing glare, his own eyes narrowing in displeasure at his son's show.
~
"Indeed, I did. We have matters to discuss." Falthyr began, running a hand over his silvery grey goatee as he sunk down into his thickly cushioned chair, watching as the rest of the council took their seats as well, leaving Björn standing alone in the centre of the room.
It wasn't exactly what he would call grand. Sure it was a vastly large room, with obnoxiously large chairs for the council to sit upon as well as the king. The decorations were minimal, aside from a few banners with the Valvorhm crest, some suits of Valvorhm Steel armour and some show pieces of weaponry from swords to spears and the likes.
~
Björn steeled his nerves as he stood up a bit straighter, feeling the wolf fur of his cloak brushing against his cheeks. "And they could not wait for a more... Suitable time?" Björn spoke a little hesitantly, knowing how easily his father's temper could come to rearing it's ugly head. "If it could have waited. It would have. This is about the good of this kingdom. For the good of you. And I suppose for those Galcolians too." Falthyr spoke gruffly, waving his hand in a roundabout motion as he carried on.
"I believe it's time we start looking to the future. Starting off with yours." Those words caught Björn's attention. His future? He was already crown prince of Valvorhm. Loved by many. There was almost nothing about his future that was uncertain. He had the castle. The servants. The titles. The power. The looks and charms.
As his thoughts continued to ponder over what Falthyr meant, he wasn't left guessing very long.

Kayeni's first impression of the Valvorhmian capital was that it was hot. Holy gods, it was really freaking hot.

Totally not because of the two freaking active volcanoes that it was surrounded by. How the people managed to live, Kayeni literally couldn't tell. Or maybe that was just her, too used to the frigid lands of Galcolia, where it always seemed to snow.
Right now, the ground would probably be covered in white, and the Kasan Mountains would be glaringly bright white in the morning sun from her balcony.

But instead, here she was, walking as neutrally as she could in the courtyard of the royal castle of the Valvorhms, and burning alive in the clothes she was wearing.
It wasn't like they had wear for this type of weather back in Galcolia. Hell, before the war Kayeni couldn't even remember the last time this boiling wasteland of a country had even talked to them.

"Your highness, are you alright?" The small contingent of guards that she had been allowed to bring, hand-picked by her father, were probably suffering more than her in their armour. Like everything, it was built for Galcolian weather, not... this blazing temperature.

Captain Johnston, head of her personal guard, looked at her with a concerned expression. And he was right to, after all. Kayeni had been a bit "off" for the entire journey here.

But she had to be here, after all. After the war started and the brutal Galcolian winter had set in, the armies they had sent had suffered the consequences of the cold, mountainous terrain - one of Galcolia's better defenses, after it's army.

While Valvorhm was one of the most powerful nations on the continent, it's soldiers didn't like the blizzards and sleet that came with Galcolia.

So here she was. The price this hellish country had asked from them for peace.
The Galcolian's sole heir, for their continued survival and independence.

In other words, her.

Attempting a smile, Kayeni nodded briefly at the guard. "I have to be. There's not any other option, is there?"

Big, grand iron doors loomed in front of them as they kept traversing the corridor. Kayeni knew that the moment she stepped through them, she was essentially bound to this country until otherwise.

But like she said, what other choice was there? Even her father didn't want to send her here.

Even he had said there was no other option. So Kayeni took one deep fart-smelling breath. One last breath to steady her before going into the chambers she had been directed to the moment they had dismounted.

No matter what happened, she had to survive this. She wasn't the Crown Princess of Galcolia for nothing, after all.

Björn Ansgar | 25 | Male | Crown Prince
~
"This here, is crown princess Kayeni of Galcolia." Falthyr introduced the newcomer, his pale silver eyes shifting between Björn and the girl. Björn immediately tensed at the name, or more so the title and place of which she had come from. He turned to somewhat face her, his eyes drifting over her form. She didn't seem like much. A bit on the shorter side of the spectrum, but Björn had grown used to such a thought arising everytime he met someone new due to his own obnoxiously tall height. Despite being in Valvorhm, enemy lands, her aura was one of confidence, of certainty. Her gaze was hardened, focused, and the way she held herself was somewhat impressive.
~
'But. That could all be a facade.' Björn quickly thought to himself as he scrutinized every part of her. Falthyr raised a hand to his mouth as he cleared his throat, very clearly an attempt to drag Björn from his thoughts as the boy stood up a bit straighter.
"Oh. Uh. Right. Your highness... It is such a..." Björn lifted his lip as if it was physically paining him to act civil with this Galcolian girl. "...Pleasure. To be graced... With your presence." The words were very strained, the way they fell from his lips sounding forced. He extended a hand to take hers as he knelt down slightly, pressing the softest ghost of a kiss to her knuckles.
'Gods above you better have a plan for bringing such... People, here to our kingdom father...' Björn cursed under his breath as he caught sight of the approving looks amongst the council members, watching as each nodded and spoke in hushed whispers. Even Falthyr looked unusually pleased. Björn tore his gaze away back to look over Kayeni.
'Curse her for looking so damn stunning. If she weren't Galcolian she'd be just my type.' His thoughts raced as he pulled his hand back away from hers, standing back up straight as he loomed over her smaller form. She was so tiny, he felt as if he could so much as blow on her and she'd fall over and break. Now that he really thought about it, his hand had practically engulfed hers within his palm when he had held it.
~
But what did she have to do with the discussion from before? Falthyr had been speaking about matters regarding the future of Valvorhm, of its people and of him. Now, here stood some girl from a faraway land, an enemy kingdom, being welcomed as some sort of ally instead of being slaughtered on sight. The very notion had him beyond stumped. Just what kind of game was his father playing at here. He was the last person he'd have expected to be civil towards anyone from outside kingdoms, especially from Galcolia. While they hadn't had much traction in launching full scale attacks on the chilled barren wasteland, it wasn't that they were unable to. The weather and terrain there were fairly unpleasant, a stark contrast to the sweltering heat of forges and the magma of the volcanoes here in Valvorhm. It's just about the last place anyone would be willing to go.
~
And gods how he hated the snow. He'd never go within a mile of the border to that cursed place. The cold. The brightness. All of it was so unlikeable. Stupid white snow... Stupid slippery ice... He hated all of it. He'd always preferred the heat overall. The flame grilled meals and snacks, the spicy foods, even the mud pools were rather pleasant and so good for his complexion- 'No. No, I'm getting too distracted.' He shook his head as he forced himself to focus on the here and now, his eyes narrowed in a questioning glare that he sent in Falthyrs direction.

One thing that Kayeni hadn't entirely expected was the entire damned Valvorhkian grand council eyeing at her as she crossed the room to curtsey in front of the King and his son, then offered her hand over.

"This here, is the crown princess Kayeni of Galcolia." King Ansgar of Valvorhm - and technically, one of their sworn enemies - said.

Oh, the arrogance and ego in this room was already suffocating - and the door was still open. Kayeni knew, without having to look backwards, that her little escort team would be watching he, slightly anxiously, from the door.
What was she meant to expect, after all? For all they knew, she could have come here under false pretences just to be murdered right here on the spot. Although, she honestly doubted it - it was a possibility, really.

"It's an honour to be here, your highness." Careful, calm, structured words delievered with as neutral of a tone as possible - unfeeling, almost, but then again, she was expected to say those words, even if she wasn't feeling honoured at all to be standing here. She wasn't a novice at this game of court - she had years of dealing with foreign emissaries and soothing their ruffled feathers, all while pushing down the skin-crawling feeling of everyone looking at her and judging her from simply the way she stood, eyes slightly downcast as she remained standing in front of the king.

Then again, they could judge away at her posture. Ramrod straight back, eyes downcast enough to show submission but enough to indicate that she was still the Cown Princess of Galcolia - they could judge away. She could stand in this posture for the entire morning if she had to.

Given the amount of time they were taking, simply looking at her and whispering amongst each other, she might actually have to. If only the room didn't smell like old fart - which Kayeni knew was sulfur, but it still smelt like old fart - burning things, and the amount of ego radiating from the Crown Prince, who was still examining her like she was a new thing for him to play with, looming over her like that.

That was not a welcome thought, considering what she was here to do.

When she finally flicked her eyes to study the Crown Prince's expression, there was the expected things - enough muscles that indicated he worked out regularly, silvery-blue eyes, almost like the king himself, the almost too-well styled hair, and most of all the arrogance and entitlement - but also confusion. Which Kayeni couldn't help but feel a bit unsettled by - although she hid it carefully, burying it deep inside the box where she hid all her unhelpful emotions, her confusion mirrored his slightly. Surely he knew what she was here for, right?

His brows furrowed further as he flicked his gaze back to Kayeni, then back to Falthyr as if the pieces were beginning to click in his mind. "Oho... Ohoho-! No-! No! Absolutely not!!" He quickly began to chuckle, but not out of humour or nervousness, but as if he was completely taken aback by the sheer audacity of his father for even considering such an idea. His voice raised a little as he looked back at Kayeni.
~
"No. Nuh uh. You can send her back in whatever prissy little carriage she arrived in, I refuse to even humour the idea that I'd ever--" Björn was cut off as Falthyr slammed his hands down on the arm rests of his throne loudly. The sound echoed sharply through the room as Björn stiffened in place. He swallowed heavily as his gaze met the seething one of his father, knowing he had definitely over stepped a few lines too many with his rant. Even the council members had fallen silent as they watched the exchange.
~
"You will do as I say, Björn Ansgar! I raised you not to be so selfish and set in your ways of delusion! The arrangement has been made and agreed upon, and you WILL uphold our end!" Falthyr's voice was booming in volume, thunderous and full of such force it made Björn wince despite himself. He shuffled on his feet as his expression curled up into one of shame and irritation.
~
Björn clearly had little care for how he appeared in front of everyone in the room, doing very little to mask or even pretend to act somewhat his age. It was like he was already about to have some sort of tantrum, his lips pouty and his brows knit together like some kind of child being denied a new toy. It wasn't exactly very becoming of a crown prince and not at all how many would assume a prince of Valvorhm would act either. It was almost adamantly clear he hadn't been told no very many times during his upbringing, his casual way of speaking and acting even in front of those they would consider enemies making it all the more obvious.
~
He let out a small grumble under his breath as he took a step back to stand beside Kayeni, his gaze set dead ahead, avoiding looking at her. Perhaps he realized how stupid he had looked, being scolded by his father in such a manner...
~
But judging how he had been acting thus far, it was highly unlikely he realized anything close to the matter.
"Kayeni will be staying here in Valvorhm, along with her... Entourage. I expect them to be treated decently. I expect YOU, Björn Ansgar, to treat them decently." The way Falthyr enunciated certain parts of his little declaration began to grate on Björn's nerves. It didn't help when he heard his full name being said in such a way either. He hated it. Absolutely hated it.
"...Yes, your majesty..." He mumbled under his breath, averting his gaze to the floor as he kicked at it very slightly with his foot.
~
"I trust you will show Kayeni around Valvorhm. You two should become acquainted. After all, you'll be spending far more time together in the future." Falthyr said with a horrid grin, as if he were finding humour in the situation as a whole. Watching his son learn his place, the crown princess of Galcolia and her entourage at his mercy within his kingdoms wall. It was like he was playing a game, with pieces and rules only he knew of.
~
Falthyr gave them a dismissive wave as Björn turned away, striding from the room without even waiting to see if Kayeni would follow or not, his cloak billowing behind him with every step he took out of the hall.

Unlike King Ansgar, Kayeni kept her amusement carefully shuttered as she calmly walked out of the council room after the rapidly disappearing prince.

Really, it was all too funny. If Kayeni had a bright spot in this sulfur-filled journey so far, it was the Crown Prince's expression as his father to "look after her."
As if she was the one who needed protecting, not the slightly childish prince that was striding away seemingly as fast as his legs could carry him. Kayeni followed at a much more moderate pace - almost strolling, as if the matter was too high above her for her to even care.

Even if it wasn't. But that was a problem for another day.

Nonetheless, she carefully kept her moderate pace as she stepped over the threshold of the room, and her personal guards naturally fell into formation behind her. Casting an amused glance at the Captain - this time, she didn't exactly try to hide her mirth as they were now out of sight of the stuffy councilmembers - she strode slightly ahead of the rest of her guards, letting them fall behind a bit as she followed the back of the rapidly disappearing prince.

Really, did he not know about the thing? Kayeni somewhat couldn't believe it - then again, his reaction was worth it, someone who looked like that reduced to mumbling in front of his father. And with her looking on, too! With that glorious arrogance popped as he realized what was going on, and her part in it - was there any way it could not have been funny?

She knew that etiquette dictated she should probably be hurrying a bit to catch up to him, but at the moment she didn't entirely care. They were forced together, anyway, and a bit of harmless infuriation as her carefully moderate pace didn't waver would be quite amusing, indeed. After all, he still walked like he owned the place - to be fair, he actually did - and that stance that still threatened her to follow him or else.

Kayeni was somewhat tempted to find out what the or else was. But for now, she followed him, her guards following a bit behind.

Björn Ansgar | 25 | Male | Crown Prince
~
'Dammit, dammit, dammit-! Dammit all!!' Björn cursed internally as he felt his face growing a little red from frustration. Or was it shame? Perhaps embarrassment? He couldn't figure out which it was and that only served to annoy him even more as he continued his stomping path down the hallway.
~
'Who the hell does he think he is!? Forcing me with some... Some Galcolian!?! Sure he's... King. And he's my father. But what the hell is he thinking!?' Björn continued to think in agitation as he cast a small glance over his shoulder, noticing Kayeni was following a ways behind.
"Gods, are all you Galcolians this slow?! No wonder you get slaughtered so easily." He grumbled out in an irritated tone, not caring how his words came across. He was usually like that. Clueless. Blunt. Never gave a second thought to any of the bull that came from his lips.
~
His silver eyes fixed on the entourage behind her who followed at an even greater distance.
'I swear to the divines-' He let out a long slow sigh as he forced himself to relax, even if it did little to help in this situation.
~
First, the Galcolians are invited as guests. Second, he finds out he's being forced to be with the crown princess of Galcolia. Third, he gets scolded like some brat in front of her, her entourage AND the council members!?
He felt his hands curling into fists as he impatiently tapped his foot against the dark stoned floors, the sound echoing in the corridor as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
~
'Come on, come on, come on, hurry up, hurry up-!' He urged internally as he grit his teeth a little, waiting for her to catch up before he went to carry on walking.
~
"The hell he wants me to do with you... I have no idea..." He grumbled a little gruffly as he forced his pace to slow as he fell in step beside Kayeni.
"Welcome to your new home I guess. You get stone here. Stone there. Fire over there and that's about it for Valvorhm. Oh. And watch out for the geysers I suppose. Although. I guess if you really want, I wouldn't mind watching you step out onto one of them-" Björn chuckled coldly as his eyes flickered out the window of the corridor to the kingdom below, before he sighed loudly.
"...gods this sucks." He muttered almost imperceptibly silent, a brief whisper to her ear.
~
He considered perhaps leading her to the kingdom, try lose her in the crowds or something along those lines, but he doubted his father would take kindly to such a tactic. Maybe this was just some kind of facade? An act? Maybe Falthyr had actually planned this as a way to eliminate their enemy's only heir. But then why would he be so adamant about treating her decently...? No. Surely it had to be an act! She was Galcolian, they were sworn enemies. It wouldn't take much to put a pretty little dagger through her pretty little head-
~
Björn clicked his tongue rather loudly as he reached a hand up, rubbing the back of his neck. All of this was so confusing. Was she really here as a guest or here as a prisoner? He felt so pathetic, having to try and act semi nice to these people, like some kind of dog bending over backwards to appease it's master. His eyes drifted to her side profile as he let his thoughts run a bit more before he decided against doing anything rash.
~
Sure he was capable but he was outnumbered here. By the time guards came to assist him, Kayeni's entourage would have him sliced diced and served on a silver platter like some sort of messed up five star meal.
