| I grew up with a mutt Pittie and she was amazing, just reactive to other dogs as she lost her eyesight around 13. Now I have a weird mutt (we have no effing clue what he is, vet suspects sire is coyote and his dam is shepherd/heeler/rottie), he is well behaved but it took some EFFORT dude. He's also allergic to all of the dog food brands we've tried, so we cook for him. |

| Lol, that is what our shelter let us do with the cats we have adopted. But we were also showing them the hundreds of photos of the pets we already had so I think we won them over xD |

| From what I understand, rescues aren't supposed to be easy. Those dogs should be going to good homes that can handle and care for them, I would consider it shady if you could just go in and walk out with a dog no questions asked. |

| Our local shelter is pretty nice, I might adopt from them when Elle passes. That is if Ty eh ever get anything other than put mixes. I have nothing against pits they just arent the dog for me. |

| The waiting lists for ethical breeders can be months - years. You have to be patient if you're getting a dog from a breeder, too. Do your research. |

| Brachy breeds can breathe perfectly fine if they are bred with health in mind. Brachy breeds are some of the most commonly backyard bred but with appropriate health testing prior to breeding (like BOAS tests) they can be perfectly healthy and physically capable. |

| Same thing with kittens. Pulled 3 out of a trash bag on the side of the highway at 3am last April, kept one myself and rehomed the other two. Sterilization of pets should be mandatory. |

| Rook, seriously. So many people just breed dogs thinking they can make a quick but and it often has tragic and expensive consequences. |

| i used to work at a shelter and we had a merle bulldog there who actually sounded like he was breathing through 8 tons of shrapnel... really not a fan of brachy breeds |

| Insane Sanity, eh, I can't knock it. Lots of people mix dogs to be hunting dogs and they're good catch dogs and shit. |

| Dreamer+ Out here, people will literally shoot and bury unexpected or undesirable puppies. Three of my dog's siblings got put down due to lack of space. Too many people think that breeding their bad ass dogs will get them into financial stability and they're ((wrong)) af |
